@baby Being poor does not stop you from showing love. And your excuse for the guys does not hold enough water. I understand you are trying to be considerate but let the truth be said even ones that have all the money in the world still show these acts. It cuts across all strata of the community.

Some male muslims actually believe showing love to your wife is an act of weakness. That is their mentality. I am male and i know what goes on around me. Many evidence abounds on here also. Just check around and you see Guys complaining they are busy and they are concerned about making money for the family and can't just take 30 seconds in a day to call and check on their wives just to say hello or you love her. Loving her Is a responsibility and not a choice chore which you decide to undertake or not.

The congregration is being led by leagues of chauvinists who believe the man should always look and strike fear in their wives. To say a simple sorry to their partners is a big issue and they back it up with their 'self inferred and twisted' verses of the Quran. All we hear at Nikkahs is that the wives should respect their husbands and always submit,submit and submit.... nobody talks about the love the husband is supposed to show to his wife. Marriage ain't only about procreating . Its about having someone you can always share your burdens and happiness with which in this case is your wife. You need to help her develop in her various endeavours, dot over her and protect her like a father would protect his daughter because you took over the role when you married her and you are responsible for her safety.

Some men harp so much on respect that i always wonder what kind of respect they want ? Is it the fear instilled respect(because she knows what bodily harm you can cause to her if she does otherwise) or the one which is genuinely inspired by your actions towards your wife?

I was listening to a sermon during the week and the imam narrated a story of how a follower of the prophet used to go fetching water and run errands to long distances all in a bid to protect his wife from harms way and not over stressing her as she works around keeping the house clean and preparing food. How many men will do such nowadays? Is it when they are clutching tightly to their remote control and watching tv? Na wife Na hin go go market. Na she go cook, na she go wash. There's a car in the house but you would tell her to take public transport or jump okada because you don't want to take her in your "toy" car to the market. It justs goes on and on. Sometimes i just wonder why people marry sef.

she doesn't disappoint . One of the best responses thus far. In addition, the man seems redeemable. He even talked about the fact that she was once beautiful. She should be there for him and help . We are humans and do fail but this man hasn't falled for his bodily desires so there's still much that can be done- sitting him down and talking to him might do the magic. Not being judgemental my also help. He needs help and question is she willing to be there for him? Is she willing to help him overcome this shortcoming? When people take the success of their relationships or marriages as a personal responsibility them i guess the divorce rate would definitely come down. Am not absolving the man of any wrong doing. Easy for you to say. When last did government or school authorities give themselves deadlines to fix a non functioning facility? Common even under consumer protection laws a service provider cannot request full payment when they have not provided full services. We need to look at all these arbitrary rules which is mostly against the masses. Do you know how many months it would take a father earning minimum wage to raise 100k for his son's school fees ? Five months. Thats if he doesn't even touch a kobo of it.so do you wanna tell me that the father has a silly excuse not to pay up in time? An unjust law is no law.

A fellow Nairalander came online some few weeks back to explain his predicament which was the inability to raise money to pay his school fees. He is a final year student of the school. Although it wasn't displayed on the frontpage some God sent Nairalanders stood up and raised the deficit needed to pay up the fees. However. Due to the lateness in getting the fees ready the University authorities had already locked the online payment portal through which he has to make payment. All efforts made by kind hearted Nairalanders to get the school authorities to do "the needfull" has not yielded the desired results.

Thats why I am raising this thread to ask for the assistance of other fellow forumites to please sign a public plea which is addresssed to the administrators of the Kwara state university so that they can please help open the University portal so as to avail these students who have not done their registration an opportunity to make payments and duly complete their registrations and also so that the remarkable efforts of all those who contributed the money not to go into futility because if he can't pay then all their efforts and help are wasted..

We understand the problem this same issue caused last session but we believe the school in its magnanimity would re open the portal even for just 24 hours so as to allow these students be able to make the payments.

We never know who's watching or reading and i guess we can use the internet as a force for good by simply joining our voices to request for rights on behalf this fellow Nairalander who's affected and the numerous unknown students affected by this.

We should all understand that fingers are not equal and placing a payment deadline on an exclusive fee which in no way is easy to come by would do no one any good.

Am gathering up signatures . And your little efforts of signing this plea may go along way in helping out in this issue. Thanks.

However, onegig is not denying the fact that technological advancement will face out personal computers but not in the nearest future.

Desktop computers are now flat screened but the CPU still have make provisions for gaming, graphic, expansion ports........still very relevant in the corporate world.

The Microsoft surface Pro cannot displace my laptop especially with the 128 GB HDD.

Bottom line is that a tablet cannot displace a laptop for now, maybe in the future.
