Aigbofa: ![]() I thought I'd get your attention. |
marcdunu:I wasn't expecting you to stop. ![]() I was saying it to point out to other Igbo readers about the self defeating and fallacious position you are taking, all in desperation to swing Igbo away from Jonathan. There was a time I was anti-Jonathan as far as this coming election is concerned, and it wasn't even long ago. You can dig up my last months posts and see for yourself. The difference between your strategy and mine is that I ALWAYS think about how my statements affect Ndigbo and what impact it makes. I want us solving our problems, not by unbridled and bitter dissent. But rather by calculated and thorough positions. It is not wise to kill a fly with a sledgehammer. You can refuse to accept the Ohanaeze endorsement of Jonathan, but please don't destroy the Igbo family. Enuf said. |
I also heard that Michael Jackson's real grand-father was an Igbo man from Obosi in Anambra state. His name was Oja akusi (the flute never ceases playing). Story had it that the day young Michael was born, the man ojakusi was busy playing the Igbo flute -Oja, as usual. He took one look at Michael and named him Mmuo kelu or Mokelu -meaning "created by the spirits". Where is that picture of Ojakusi sef. I had it last week. Really, Michael Jackson is really Muokelu Ojakusi. |
^^ Ya, I also heard that Michael Jackson's real grand-father was an Igbo man from Obosi in Anambra state. His name was Oja akusi (the flute never ceases playing). marcdunu:The bolded is my grouse with some of the anti-Jonathan elements on nairaland. marcdunu, in the name of God, how do you say that Uwechue is a "brother" to Jonathan, but not a brother to the rest of Ndigbo whom he is leading? How did you reach that conclusion? Honestly, dissent is okay provided it is conducted with common sense, and doesn't create a bigger problem than it is claiming to solve. ![]() Nna if you don't know how else to campaign against Jonathan please SHUT UP. You are insulting Ndigbo! ![]() |
alj harem:This is a deceitful statement. When you say "most" northerners, what is the percentage of educated northerners? If I say most Igbos, chances are that about 80% attended at least a secondary school education. So I can equate "most" Igbos with literate or semi-literate conduct. I cannot do that with northerners because the opposite is the case. So, if most northerners are illiterate, then one can deduce that most northerners are murderers of unarmed women and children. |
vicenzo:I won't support ANY talk of concentration camps because that can never, and should NEVER happen in ANY part of Nigeria. Ndigbo are not a wicked people. Our history is very clear on that. Please tone down this rhetoric. I can understand your anger about Abokis lazy, murderous and perfidious antecedents in Nigeria. We are Nigerians now and will remain Nigerians. But these people must learn to accommodate us (the way we are, not trying to change us to become like them ) because they forced us back into Nigeria. So I tell my Igbo folks to spread their wings and make hay in ANY part of Nigeria. Just remain fearless, strong, hardworking, disciplined and focused. Our continued success is guaranteed. |
All these false prophets should be ignored. They are seeking relevance. |
EzeUche0:Same concept (cat and mouse), different names. "Correction" accepted. ![]() |
So where are those who said Uwechue was making a personal statement on Jonathan? The man Uwechue is a seasoned diplomat with impeccable credentials. And attack on him is just wrong. If anyone doesn't like Ohanaeze's endorsement, no one will force them on the day of elections. My position is that they are serving us (Ndigbo) very well. ![]() |
Obiagu1:Those guys won't smell power for a loooooooooooooooooooong time. No short cuts for them. |
naijaking1: . My guy you are just hilarious. lmao. |
kettykin:100% agreed. The Enugu international airport will help in that regard. We are waiting to tap in. ![]() |
guddsid:Boy that your Tom and Jerry Gif is so hilarious! ![]() |
alj harem:Look, this is the problem we Igbos have with certain Nigerians. When someone says he is beating you in achievement and working to have you serve him, isn't that what ALL humans have been doing since creation? Why does a possible Igbo domination of Nigeria elicit so much fear and hate? Didn't you people dominate Nigerian politics for much of 50 years? Did any Igbo commit suicide because of that? Why can't you serve me if I pay you? Is my money not solving your problems after you accept it? This is the mindset behind all attacks against Igbo properties in Nigeria. I am a successful professional for instance, and I employ an illiterate northerner as "mai guard" or whatever. Tomorrow the slowpoke will start envying me and start thinking that I cheated him. ![]() Where was he when I was focused and acquiring one university degree or the other? ![]() Where was he when I was working for years to raise money? ![]() Where was he when I planned and started my own business? ![]() Igbo man believes in himself. Does he? ![]() He suddenly wakes up after I employed him (yes to serve me! ) to find out that Igbo man is dominating him. ![]() This is our problem with certain Nigerians (I won't mention tribes now). But be rest assured that we will not let you steal our property again in Nigeria. Just have that in mind. I don't care about anything else you think about Igbo man. ![]() |
alj harem:Go drink battery acid. slowpoke. Your views about us is IRRELEVANT. We are moving forward, whether you like it or not. For your information Nollywood is acted in Asaba and Enugu (most of the things), and by that I mean REAL Nollywood that captivate Africa and the world. Lol @ "accommodating" Igbos. WE ARE NIGERIANS and will live in and dominate ALL parts of Nigeria if we can. And YES WE CAN. ![]() |
mens dept:Those are NOT real Igbo traditional rulers. They are ROGUE elements who think they can spring up an igwe in foreign lands. Don't confuse them with Ohanaeze please. ![]() |
alj harem:You don't hate them, but you say this alj harem:Why don't you ask how other Nigerians make their money? ![]() Why are you insinuating that Igbo money is tainted money? ![]() Why did you try to lie about Nollywood? ![]() And why do you think that Igbos will abandon their properties or that Hausa will "reclaim their property" in Abuja? ![]() If you are an Igbo lover, we would prefer an open enemy. Nonsense. By the way, you can be any tribe you want. I don't care. It doesn't make you any less a bigoted Igbo hater. |
jason12345:The "hausa guy" you are defending decided to say things he cannot pull off (obviously out of jealousy ) about Igbo properties in Abuja and I had to speak to him in "goat language". alj harem:He also LIED BOLDLY below: do you know that 90% of nollywood movies are done in lagos or abuja (yoruba state, hausa state) look don't decieve urselves to try to get self esteem.I don't even want to address this quote below. He can believe whatever he wants. Provided he does not believe that Igbo will ever abandon any property to any group ANYWHERE in Nigeria. u said igbos have houses in abuja and lagos LOLIt is obvious that the "hausa guy" is a rabid Igbo hater. His mistake is that everything that will happen again in Nigeria must be like 1967-70. That is where he is WRONG because Abuja will not be abandoned to the so called north if ever Nigeria disintegrates. It will become Beirut! ![]() |
alj harem:Dude, you are just a dumb-a55 goat. Yes we are saying ONE NIGERIA so that we can make you serve us! Can't you see? We win EITHER WAY. We secede, we win. We stay, we win. Get off your lazy a55 and work. You will not ride Nigeria like a horse again. Gerrit? Igbo man has come to stay. You cannot wish us away. We are YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE. ![]() You won us before, but we are winning you today. And we are only beginning. When we are done, you will not recognize Nigeria again. It will be a whole new nation where MEDIOCRITY serves MERITOCRACY. The way God himself ordained it. Learn to live with it. ![]() |
alj harem:Sharap dia ewu Hausa! ![]() The guy has a simple logic but in your usual gworo chewing idiocy you fail to see his point. ![]() He didn't have to say it 'cos it is SELF EVIDENT. You will serve us whether you like it or not. This is ONE NIGERIA. Nelson Mandela said that the greatest vengeance one can have on his enemies is to get them to serve him. As long as Nigeria remains( and it shall remain for ever more, Amen! ), you will serve us. You know why? Because we are STRONGER than you. We are also more hard working than you. We are even more intelligent than you. If you dare try any nonsense tomorrow, you will smell your nyash. ![]() Fcking grass-chewing goat. ![]() |
Harbb:Pedestrian crap always used to short-change Ndigbo in Nigeria. Don't worry about us. We'll be just fine. I have this nagging feeling that a day is approaching when Ndigbo will be the only group in Nigeria speaking with one voice. I bet you that then folks will start accusing us of clannishness or something similar. Igbo is highly evolutionary. I never thought I'll see a day when Arewa could not speak with one voice about a northern candidate. On the contrary, I am living to see Igbo really attempting to speak with one voice under Uwechue. |
Andre na wa for you o! @ Obusonjo ![]() |
AjanleKoko:No, I was REALLY interested in what you thought. You are one of the few folks here I respect their opinion. I noticed the same thing about the guy. Everything in Nigeria has a beginning, including tribalism. If all Nigerians behaved like him, then there is hope. ![]() |
AjanleKoko:But what do you think about the topic? ![]() |
I see an attempt to attack Uwechue and Ohanaeze as very laughable. ![]() There is no way these attackers know what is best for Ndigbo more than Ohanaeze leadership. And if the attackers think that Ohanaeze leadership should not be trusted, should we trust they the attackers? ![]() If you say that your leader is talking nonsense, aren't you the one talking pure trash? Only a fool points to his fathers house with a left hand. ![]() I'm laughing. |
Katsumoto:Yea right. He is so skilled alright. My point is that he is NOT in any way related to Igbo. He is a TYPICAL Yoruba man. Period. ![]() |
mikeansy:I never said that Jonathan is starting a "private militia". Why are you twisting my words and being so alarmist? ![]() I said that Jonathan may not have confidence in current military hence he wants to build a NATIONAL GUARD. In the national guard of course he can mold it according to his dictates, but he will not stay there for ever. Nigeria is NOT Iraq or Zimbabwe. He is building a NATIONAL guard, not MEND. ![]() In any case, if he builds a military outfit that reflects Nigeria's best (from all regions) I can't quarrel with that. |
jason12345:Dude, you see why I don't think you are honest about your fabled "Igbo-Yoruba" alliance. Did you even read the original post? And did you follow this discussion? Where did you see Ohanaeze support IBB? ![]() Are you careless or just being provocative? ![]() |
mikeansy:I couldn't see any other reason why Jonathan is installing a new army if not that he lacks complete trust and confidence in the substantive one. You would agree that Nigeria is too complicated to pocket like Zimbabwe or Iraq. So, Jonathan cannot pocket Nigeria. All I see is an attempt to "balance power". The only question in my mind is whether he is charismatic enough to pull it off. We already have all the security forces we need in Nigeria. If any is not working well, he can reform and equip it. Forming a national guard now only signify that he lacks confidence in the existing military. Let's just watch how things unfold. |
My answer to the Orji Kalus of Igboland is that they should stop trying to play with our intelligence. ![]() As far as I know, I cannot separate "Igbo interests" from "Orji Kalu's interest". That is the problem. I still cry out real tears anytime I see Aba or read about it in the news. If we never had a Peter Obi in Anambra state, we probably would not have know that Ndigbo can produce decent politicians. Orji tend to use our sentiments to advance his own causes. If he loved Ndigbo that much, what happen in Abia state under him? Is Abia not Igbo? Charity begins at home biko. ![]() On the issues he raised about Igbo relevance, I hope that Jonathan does not rig elections in the south east. If elections are free and fair, I have no doubt that Igbo will vote APGA more than other parties, at least at state and national assembly levels. That will give us almost all the Igbo states back. I hope that Peter Obi and other governors agreed and made that demand from Jonathan. Ndigbo might vote for him as president, but they will likely vote APGA for governorship and members of national assembly except where a governor is really good (like Chime in Enugu). So, as long as elections are not rigged in Igboland, we will be fine next year. ![]() |
mikeansy:There is nothing wrong with holding a view from childhood. When you grow up, you drop bad views and keep good ones. This one is a good view, so I kept it. Igwe bu ike. My views are based on the Nigerian political REALITY. We Ndigbo can afford to argue ourselves to death if we lived in a separate Igbo only country or a country without tribal or sectional politics. That is not the case. Today, the south east is the most marginalized in terms of federal allocations, and representation. It did not happen overnight. It was a 40 year old process, during which we were busy arguing ourselves and our leaders to death while others made hay. If we can cultivate the habit of rallying round our leaders, we would be a force to reckon with in Nigeria, and all the marginalization will end. Your apologies are accepted. ![]() |

How did you reach that conclusion?
