sjeezy8:You see, as long as folks like you don't see anything wrong in what those war criminals did in Biafra, mark my word, Igbos would NEVER forgive your tribe. In your logic, a General's job is to commit genocide and a leader's job is ethnic cleansing! Even an Igbo boy born today would shudder at such crime, but not you my fellow "compatriot"! |
You are being clever by half! The Yorubas didn't vote Obasanjo the first term. By his second term, they all withdrew from the race and refused to field a candidate. Adekunle committed genocide in Biafra. Obafemi Awolowo also supported using starvation as a weapon of war and as a result of that 2 million Biafrans (igbos and minorities of Biafra) starved to death. That is a fact! http://www.life.com/image/50673465 http://www.survivinginbiafra.com/MalnourishedBiafrans.jpg |
Go find out who made this statement: "We shoot everything that moves. And when we get to the Igbo heartland, we shoot everything, including things that don't move!" I'll help you. His name is Benjamin Adekunle -Commander of the third marine commandos who captured Port Harcourt. |
sjeezy8:They did not vote for him but they still made hay! Go ask Otedola and Adenuga and others like them. and what about the Igbo vice presidents? Are you seriously asking this question Since when did the Federal executive power ever leave the Presidents desk? Even VP Atiku was castrated by Obasanjo. |
At least one Yoruba President took a healthy bite of 11 years! And while he was at it, he shared the national assets between the Yoruba and Hausa while others watched helplessly. I don't even want to go into Biafran war now. You can do your own research and read between the lines (not the usual bullshit they tell you about Igbos causing it). If you are interested! The "woman" you tried to defend don't even live in Nigeria, have never been to Nigeria and yet had the guts to mouth off here. I suspect you and "her" are the same person using different names. Prove me wrong. |
Even in Nigeria of today, what don't they do to keep things the way they have been since after the war? I challenge them to even agree to resource control. I'm not even talking about secession now. Just resource control. Let them even not kill me for trying to get a federal civil service job or a job in the oil industry. That would be enough! Ol' boy I now believe you may have never been to Nigeria! |
sjeezy8:WHAT! The question should be: What didn't the Yorubas do to the Biafrans? |
tpia.:So if you knew the meaning, how can you risk some Igbo dudes running away from the "Tipia brand" from day one? You get courage o! ![]() |
sjeezy8:I'm actually younger than you, but wiser than your father by far! Anuofia! you and your fake identity (AMAKA) want us to forget the past so you can re-enact the genocide in the future. That would never happen. My father told me everything that happened in Biafra. I have read widely about the war, and I would tell my children (whenever I have them) so they never forget those who schemed to wipe out their tribe and people. IDIOT! Keep following me around. |
tpia.:If you knew what "Tipia" means in Igbo, you probably won't recommend that as a successful brand! I laugh in Igbo ![]() |
Regal and elegant people! Thank God they are coming back home. The girl is a real ASA! Omalicha nwa Igbo! |
Onlytruth:And I say this again! |
Gadols:And so it shall be in the next 50 years! |
pcicero:I really meant it. Look at it this way: If Ken Nnamani took bribes from Obasanjo and supported the third term bid, do you think he could not have rallied other senators in support? He could have accepted huge Ghana -Must-Gos and shared them among the senators and third term would have happened. He didn't and not only that, he gave the most insightful leadership speech I've ever heard to scuttle the third term bid. How can we forget so quickly? I think he would have succeeded in buying over the other senators, and I think he would still be the senate president today. He sacrificed his political future for integrity. Yes, he stopped Obasanjo! For that by the way, he lost out and Igbos lost out too! And I'm proud of him! He is Ezigbo nwa! |
THE AMAKA:At least I'm better than your father who turned a blind eye when you went whoring after ABOKI soldiers during the war. Shameless idiot. Any tribe that lost a war has your type. I'm not shocked! So keep whoring! BITCH! To my dead Biafran brothers I say this: As long as those who caused us pain, who still cause us pain, are not taking a vacation, I as your son and brother will never sleep and will never forget you, ALL 2 MILLION OF YOU! |
Mcdonalds is a FRANCHISE. What this means in a simple language is that they care A LOT about their BRAND. What this also means is that they would not compromise on the quality of that brand. You can give them $100 million for the same franchise that cost $1 million; if you do not demonstrate how you provide ELECTRICITY 24/7 without running prohibitive costs or compromised brand, they would not come, PERIOD! It is that simple. I believe Nigerians can afford it (it doesn't have to be sited everywhere, just the rich locations), but what about standards, especially when foods needs to be REFRIGERATED 24/7 Those foods are pre-made and shipped in refrigerated ships and trucks to locations all over the world. WE DON"T HAVE ELECTRICITY. Mcdonalds would never go to Nigeria until that happens. Just watch, they would soon go to Ghana. |
grafikdon:Your point is well taken. That wasn't the intent of most post though. Nevertheless, I stand down on that. |
WHAT !!!Maybe after Nigeria brings back 2 million dead Biafrans! |
gadogado:I can now see the main purpose of your thread. Sad for you! I don't know about "blacks being cursed" but I know about Igbos and I know we are NOT CURSED! Far from it! How can a tribe that produced the likes of Philip Emeagwali (Africa's greatest computer genuis), Chike Obi ( Africa's greatest mathematician), Chinua Achebe (who wrote the most popular African prose), Chimamanda Adichie (an emerging literature genuis), Chukwuma Soludo (an economics wizard), Ngozi Okonjo Iweala (world bank MD), Kenechukwu Nnamani (the man who single handedly stopped Obasanjo's third term bid), Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (the young man who saw the future and created a nation) and many more like them, be cursed? These are people whose actions helped shape the history of the black race and the world; whose actions are still influencing the history of the world in science, literature, finance, economics and management and politics. Igbo could easily be the most blessed tribe in Africa! So, next time you want to count cursed black people, please count Igbos out! Thank you! |

Look, TINAPA is a brilliant idea and we should all support it! I, personally, would spend more of my vacation times from now on at Tinapa instead of Abuja. It is comparatively cheaper, definitely more friendly, calmer, cleaner and is really a genuine effort at self reliance by the state government. All states should copy this spirit and lessen reliance on oil. There are other ways to anchor the business side of Tinapa, but it cannot be done without power -electricity. I'm not jumping over SIX FLAGS yet, at least until someone does something serious about the power situation. I remember vividly how we all rejoiced and jumped when VIRGIN ATLANTIC showed up on our shores. Before we could say aeroplane, they started packing up to leave. So, my slow joy is justified by our recent history. |
adaku123:What can I say to that? I am a stark illiterate! ![]() and I live in the caves of Arochukwu! ![]() |
Anyway my message is clear. I believe Igbo fathers understand me. Some of them may not agree with me but the message is clear enough. There are Igbo women running their mouths here on NL whom I suspect are in such relationships. We won't have that happening if we paid more attention to our daughters' suitors. I rest my case! |
tpia.:Actually it doesn't. Believe me, if Igbomen married from anywhere, there would be no Igbo nation today. We may travel far and wide, but we ALWAYS return home to marry. We just need to rein in our daugthers more. No offense intended. We need to know who the enemy is first. |
Of course this goes deeper, but the summary is that we should wait until after Nigeria is resolved one way or another before deciding where to marry from. History teaches us that. There is nothing more difficult than reining in a love struck daughter even if the devil is her suitor! So, lets take this serious. A day will come when they can marry anyone, but that day has not yet come. We don't want to have Igbo girls/woman running around Nairaland peddling warped logic. Before we know it, they will lead the enemy inside the family treasure and security chest! Mepeenu anya o! Ihe a dikwa mkpa! |
adaku123:This message goes to Igbo Fathers: As an Igboman who have passed through HELL in Nigeria, and who is determined to effect a real change ( create Biafra or create a confederal or truly federal Nigeria), I believe I have to say this: Isn't it wise to be more attentive to what our daugthers are doing? There seems to be an unannounced mad rush for Igbo girls by some of these tribes that hate us the most. How can we secure our future when our daugthers are in chokehold relationships with these people ![]() I know we can sometimes find ourselves in desperate situations (daughter desperate for a husband), but please try to explain to these girls that the people they are marrying have not apologised for the starvation of 2 million in Biafra. Igbo fathers, be more attentive to your daughters dates. Our sons have been ok., they always marry Igbo girls, but the Igbo girls! If we don't direct and orient these girls right, we will wake up one day to find that our nation has been stolen right from under our eyes! Igbo anya saa nu! Marrying from the old EAST is ok , but Yoruba??!! Chineke ekwela ihe ojo! |

Poor lad! His dream will go like those of others before him. In Nigeria, he has to beat the almighty QUOTA SYSTEM to make his dream a reality. While I was exactly at the same JSS3, I drew up and was determined to build a helicopter. I had only finished my first level Physics but I was puzzled by how a helicopter hung on one spot and spun around in the air. I couldn't sleep for days figuring out how a helicopter does that! My dream died once I realized I couldn't even access a good physics science lab. Those types of inventions only happened in one African country -BIAFRA! |
initiate:Your tribe held Nigeria down for 50 years and is planning to continue for another 50 years! Igbos must leave you whether you like it or not. You can't survive without the same people you hate so much! Ewu! Allows us to leave with our curse of Esau. IDIOT! LONG LIVE THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN! |
initiate:YOU ARE A COMPLETE IDIOT! Topic should be deleted. It gives idiots opportunity to snipe at Igbos. Anuofia! |
