PoliticsEndorsing Onwa Anambra State Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige by Onlytruth(op): 1:22am On Sep 26, 2009
This is a rare endorsement. Normally I wouldn't do this, but for Onwa, I would!

He is not a stranger to the Nigerian political scene. He has demonstrated that the true test of a man's character is not what he does in times of safety, easiness and comfort, but what he does in times of danger, difficulty and controversy. He is diminutive in physical stature, but gigantic in character and intelligence. He is soft spoken and conciliatory, but fearless and forthright. He is witty, tough, hands on, loves his people with a passion and a seasoned politician. He has been kidnapped, run off the road, his life threatened, his political career derailed, his legacy soiled, his character impugned; his morality questioned, but stood firm to prove himself a true son of Igboland. Before him as governor, a journey between Nnewi and Awka took 45 minutes on old and bumpy roads. After him, the same journey takes 15 minutes on new and smooth road by-passes. He is a true son of Igboland -Ezigbo nwa!

My duty to Igboland; my duty to him as ezigbo nwa Igbo, is to say to him, "Imere nke oma! ezigbo nwa !

I would have you take over Anambra from where Peter Obi stopped next year.

Dalu, Onwa Anambra State!

Vote for a truly transformative leader! Vote for Onwa Anambra State!! Vote for Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige!!!

Don't take my word for it. Do your own due diligence.

Enjoyment1:
I must say, I dont care about who becomes the next Governor of Anambra, but whoever that have failed in the western world, doesnt aspire to hold any public post again. In Nigeria today, it is a do-or-die affair, and it is becoming very dangerous. Sentiments have really beclouded our sense of reasoning.

Anambra today, was supposed to be very highly industralised state or zone, but the likes of some of the posters here, will never see anything wrong, in a failure, coming out again for another office to destroy.

Please, let whoever has the people at heart, win the election and take the state away from where it is today. Please leave sentiment out of this, please.
Soludo never failed in the western world. He never even failed in Nigeria! So what the f*ck are you talking about?
Without sentiment, you cannot love anyone including yourself, because love is emotional. So we need sentiment sometimes!
Like I said, I prefer Ngige.

BusinessRe: I Will Transform Anambra Into Dubai - Soludo by Onlytruth(m): 8:13pm On Sep 24, 2009
Currently our people simply trade but I know many of them who will happily abandon their shops if they could get jobs in assembly lines earning fixed livable incomes. Some of them are even graduates. So we need a paradigm shift. Let's create a new economy in the East that is tech based. The traders can continue, but the state will be rich from tax money flowing from these scientific centers of excellence. This is even bigger than oil by far. Go ask Israel!
BusinessRe: I Will Transform Anambra Into Dubai - Soludo by Onlytruth(m): 8:07pm On Sep 24, 2009
I don't like this "Dubai vision" for Anambra State. Our skills demographics is more like Japan or Israel. If he speaks about setting up world class scientific research and production hub, or industrial and special skills hub, those would be more appropriate. I know many Anambra people based overseas who are yearning for such environment in the East. To achieve that of course power supply must be the first priority.
Dubai is just an international market and goods exchange. Nothing more. I want to bring home certain specialized skills industries which should be the first in Africa. It can originate in Anambra and spread to Imo and Enugu and others. Our future is technology. I hope all these governorship aspirants know that!

My friend will you shut up and stop misinterpreting mend's actions? Have you ever heard seperation as one of mend's agenda?. Mend has said they believe in one nigeria which is built on equity and justice.
I hate hypocrites! Where do you stand? You dodged the question I asked you here:

I really would like to know your strategy for a peaceful progressive Nigeria. What are your demands as a person (hopefully a reflection of something actionable in Nigeria). I'm tired of all these "all Nigerians are guilty of corruption, this and that". It is like saying all humans will get sick in their lifetime. duh? What should Nigeria do today politically to create a sensible and progressing nation?

Again the argument about whether we need a good governor or a master plan first is like the chicken and egg question. The issue is that luckily we have a master plan now and all future governors should stick to it as pointed out by Asha 80. They can amend sections of it, but this is a $300M document. Not cheap by any standards. I've looked it over and it is GOOD. Don't take my word for it. Check it out.

PoliticsRe: Soludo Finally Declares His Anambra Governorship Ambition by Onlytruth(m): 3:21pm On Sep 24, 2009
I would add that Soludo might be able to match Ngige. Problem is, we don't know that! All we have to do is to pray that Soludo (if he is rigged in) can borrow a leaf or two from Ngige (the Onwa of Anambra State). If the election is free and fair, Ngige wins.
PoliticsRe: Soludo Finally Declares His Anambra Governorship Ambition by Onlytruth(m): 3:18pm On Sep 24, 2009
Anambra State has a Master Plan now. Ngige conceptualized it but Obi acutalized it.  Follow the two links I found on the plan.

http://businessworldng.com/web/articles/561/1/UN-to-Spend-300m-on-Anambra-Master-Plan/Page1.html

http://wesoedu.com/Anambra_Plan.pdf

Bottomline is that Anambra State is moving forward.

I would go with Ngige for the reasons I mentioned earlier. He is:
(1) Street wise (to survive politically in Anambra, you need this)
(2) Courageous (To face or confront anyone on his way to doing the right thing)
(3) Loves his people (understands the bigger picture)
(4) Hands on (didn't delegate much, he was on tour of project sites daily)
(5) diplomatic and astute politician (just added )
(6) Ambitious

Only Ngige has demonstrated those qualities.
He could have sold Anambra to the highest bidder and would still complete two terms if he did. He didn't. True test of character.

IF you hold a free and fair referendum regarding our coperate existence, the result would look like this:

South west - yes
South east - yes
South South - yes

north central - probably yes
north west - ? (no)
north east - ? (no)

the parasitic north east and north west would be too scared to vote yes, because they have nothing except Almajiris and genocidal religious zealot who destroyed and kill in the name of God

Big Question
If the majority would like to opt out of the union , why are we together?

Answer: Oil and War
Presently, the people benefiting most from the oil, don't own the oil. Their objective is to dry up the oil well, before abandoning the union. The people of South South would be left with no oil and a terrible environmental disaster. Oil is keeping the country together, when it dry up, the country will automaticall breaks up. the three major tribe hate each other, there is no common ground.

Secondly, there is no way Nigeria would break up without a war, the international community are doing everything they can to prevent it. f war should break out, it would destabilise the entire sub Sahara Africa and beyond, with over 50 milion Nigerians becoming refugee. This would have a domino effect on other west African countries resulting into all west Africa civil war. This would stretch the UN to a breaking point.
Fear driven prognosis!
I actually think there won't be a war. We can agree to share the oil revenue. That is the only thing that can cause a war. Besides everyone loses in war. Nigerians are too spoilt these days to experience a Somalia like situation.

I'm really happy for this change in position. I might be wooed back to Nigeria again sooner than I thought. State police is critical to security in Nigeria. I'm waiting for others, but so far so good!
PoliticsRe: Soludo Finally Declares His Anambra Governorship Ambition by Onlytruth(m): 10:26pm On Sep 23, 2009
If the election is free and fair (probably a pipe dream in Nigeria), then even Soludo can't beat NGIGE.  We might have to live with Soludo (if the PDP rigs again). Don't get me wrong, Soludo is fine too, but Ngige is Proven! You can have all the brilliance and genuis in the world, but if you don't have the understanding of Nigeria's strategic politics, if you don't have the street wits, if you don't have the courage, if you don't have the hands-on mentality, if you can't be "thuggish" occassionally, you can't succeed as a state governor in Nigeria. Those are the main reasons Peter Obi is not succeeding as much as he could. Fashola has all those qualities. Ngige has all those qualities. Just my view though.

@sjeezy8 and chic2pimp

I'm not understanding where you guys are coming from. I'm hearing "one Nigeria", but no roadmap toward acheiving it.
Nigeria is obviously not working right now, how do you guys suggest we resolve the problems (outlined at a high level below).
[li]Federal Govt control freakery (e.g in the police, fire service, creation of LG's etc)[/li]
[li]General chaos and lack of direction[/li]
[li]Corruption[/li]
[li]Lack of continuity[/li]
[li]High levels of aggression in the average Nigerian[/li]
[li]Communal/regional hatred (eg advocating that overwhelming military action be carried out in the ND)[/li]
Please notice that I have omitted "tribalism" from the list; it is just a symptom of our underlying structural problems.

These problems are driving some of us crazy.
Their  Mod-Op is to get the oil and keep the Igbo in Nigeria, Period! They could care less if that place turns into a  f**cking zoo!
For ND people who buy into this one Nigeria bullsh*t, the day your oil finishes, Yoruba go dump you, tear off to form their own country and ban you from it. Just watch! My concern is that it may take 30 more years for that to happen. Oil never finish  grin
That is why 100% resource control is necessary TODAY.

Good point but why would yorubas help the igbos in freeing themselves from Nigeria?
The Yorubaland isn't any where as rich in resources as the East. If anything yorubas will have an agreement with the north, for yorubas to leave making the North the majority of the East
Now that is really twisted logic indeed! shocked
You know (according to you) that Yorubaland has no resources compared to the East, yet you are prepared to leave Nigeria and then work with the north to keep Igbos in "Nigeria". Meaning you are more interested in Igbo bondage than in your own freedom! That is why we are not planning our freedom with you. I pity who does!
Yorubaman!

Nchara:
Sjeezy8,

Nigeria, not the North, will not let the East go. If Yoruba wants to go as do Igbo and ND, then the North has nothing to do. If today Yoruba refuses to get involved as they did in the Biafra war, then the North cannot fight Igbo alone. Moreover, the middle belt is getting tired of northern domination. I predict that they will not be willing to join the core north to fight Igbos. So again, the Yoruba has a role to play in Igbos leaving Nigeria
And if the Igbos include parts of the middle belt in Biafra (which I don't see them refusing), it becomes harder for the north. Do you think the Middle belt likes living under the yoke of the Hausa/Fulani?
PoliticsRe: Uwazuruike Of Massob Says A Christians Cannot Live With Muslims, Hence Biafra by Onlytruth(m): 12:41am On Sep 23, 2009

Enjoyment1,

On what basis will Igbo suffer if they get their own country and how is the Niger Delta (ND) Igbo master?

Is it oil? There is enough in Igboland
Is is Gas, there is enough
Is it skilled manpower? There is more than enough
Do not forget that Igbos are the richest (least affected by poverty) in Nigeria of today
And that is after the effect of the civil war that devasted them
The only disadvantage BIAFRA will have is lack of sea port (if Ikwerre decides not to answer their Igboness). But they can negotiate with ND and pay taxes to bring in their goods from ND ports, which ironically ND will still come to buy. Thus they (Igbo) will get their tax money back by inflating the prices of goods sold to ND buyers

Igbos have nothing to lose really, if Nigeria separates.
You think he doesn't know that? He is just scared stiff for some reason. Fear is not always driven by a rational state of mind.
