One_Naira: I am shocked, for the first time in my life I completely disagree with SE. First time for everything. WTF was SE smoking that day to agree on this new law? That is why I said this above: Onlytruth: I would rather that my people Ndigbo keep mum over this issue because we have a bigger issue to worry about. |
ocelot2006: And who's going to see to that? You and your sorry band of Biafran noisemakers? You do know your fathers and grand-dads were thrashed years ago, right? Maybe you're itching for a repeat performance. Run along kiddo. And YOUR fathers and grand-dads(sic) too. lol ![]() Average Akwa-ibomite died just like we (Igbo), and that is why I personally believe that YOU are not from Akwa Ibom state. People from that state maintain higher IQ than you. So help us and tell us which aboki father you have and where he is from. You know how I know that you are aboki? Because you have a military background but you don't even know much about modern weapons. You still think like a caveman. ![]() |
Mr Everest: I smell rat here, for all intent and purpose, it appears that the feudal northern elites are the ones sponsoring this fulani cattle rearers, to terrorise middle belt and southerners, how come they are alwz armed with sophisticated weopons? Nimbo community must never allow this to end this way, the youths should mobilise(through vigilante group) and the LGA and community should give them covert support to annihilate any fulani that is found in the area. This is a very bad precedence! The ultimate truth. ![]() |
Dede1: You, in particular, will end up in Cameroon. In addition, there shall never be a country call Niger Delta after the demise of Nigeria through peaceful negotiation or war.hehe. That guy is the most iditioc and embarassing guy to ever come out of Akwa Ibom ( I still think he is from elsewhere though, because the average Akwa Ibomite I know is educated, hardworking and smart). The other time in a thread about Bakassi, he was threatening Camerounians with Exocet missiles. The goat did not know that of the countries in Africa with stockpiles of Exocets, that Cameroun is one of them, while Nigeria is not. ![]() Secondly, Exocet is a FRENCH made missile and France being an ally of Cameroun would happily supply them with the latest versions. lol The guy is given to making moronic statements, and I'm learning to completely ignore him. I probably would advise you to do the same. ![]() |
otosa: This is what have been pray for day and night and I believe that by year 2015 is gonna happen by grace of God.Here is what I think. I think that if you come across 100 Nigerians, my hunch is that (for those of them who remember at all to pray for Nigeria) about 70% are praying. . . for Nigeria's disintegration, while the other 30% are praying for themselves. I strongly doubt that you will come across any Nigerian praying for Nigeria to remain indivisible. A Nigerian may pray that he corners some government contract so that he will join the "choppers club", and these are the usual "patriotic" Nigerians you see here pretending to love Nigeria. The GOD that I know and serve is a PRAYER ANSWERING GOD. One of these days, he will speak LOUD and CLEAR about all the prayers he has been getting from Nigeria, and there will be NO DOUBT AT ALL that he has spoken. ![]() |
I would rather that my people Ndigbo keep mum over this issue because we have a bigger issue to worry about. The indigenization would NEVER work in Nigeria BEFORE resource control. It is almost anachronistic and tantamount to putting the cart before the horse. Let us deal with resource control first whereby every state depends on her own resources; after that we can talk of indigenization. Nigeria is VERY FRUSTRATING to Ndigbo. We are in an existential trap. ![]() |
The traditional rulers of Enugu and all SE states should meet to take a decision, and a position concerning how to keep Fulani herdsmen out of Igboland/SE. I already see the problem and WHY the Fulani are able to do this in SOME parts (particularly remote and removed parts) of the East. They cannot try it in larger villages/towns; they are like hyenas. They pick WEAK spots, and attack in packs. Igbo being a very busy people often (after abandoning the remote villages) are occupied trying to make money in big towns and cities while these marauding Fulani animals nibble at the fringes of our land. The only way to stop it is for the traditional rulers of Igboland to meet, and to ban Fulani herdsmen from grazing in Igboland. Notice that I did not say the governors because the governors are bound by the moronic Nigerian constitution which aids and abets mass murder of the innocent. They should ban the Fulani and nothing will happen. From there, ANY fulani herdsmen sighted in any part of Igboland should be dealt with and expelled. If they want war, they will get A FULL war. This is a problem that I foresee that is capable of leading to a full scale war whereby our youths finally engage these idiots, and when they do that I suspect they won't stop in Igboland because they fulani may run to the North or further east to Cross river -they do that often. The Igbo say that an elder does not keep mum and does nothing when a female goat is giving birth while still tethered. These are TWO resourceful Igbo sons that were killed by people who contribute little (if anything at all) to society. My anger is very palpable and I suspect that others are feeling the same. A stitch in time saves nine. |
I don't know why even PhysicsQED is struggling to understand the simple points being dished out by Obiagu1. The British ab initio never came to Africa to lose money or subsidize anyone. They came to make profit. People should remember that the ONLY REASON they came to Africa was to MAKE MONEY. That is why the legal entities they had were COMPANIES (not some charity or even religious organizations). The religious orgs were just appendages to the real motive -economic. Once you understand that, it becomes easier to understand that any part of the companies that were not making money must be merged with the viable one. Period. Google just acquired Motorola, and their first sets of actions have been to map out people to fire (in Motorola) and some Goolge employees to move from Google to Motorola. Nokia has laid off about 30,000 employees and closed their plant in Finland, and moved all their manufacturing to Asia, and is attached like a leech to Microsoft, receiving $1 billion annually from Microsoft. In the days of British colonial business (yes it was a business!),they would have merged Finland with China or Vietnam. Simple. From that perspective, it becomes very easy to understand that Lagos/SW had to be attached to the East once they detached administratively from Ghana et al. I don't blame them, I blame our fathers that allowed them to do that. Heck I even blame some of our fathers for abandoning the Biafran war/campaign. lol You are only as progressive as you are determined to fight. If you give up easily, you should not complain when poverty and deprivation comes knocking. ![]() |
Katsumoto: HahahahaIt is because most of them have figured out that it is share waste of human brains to engage you in rational discourse. lol Most them can no longer distinguish between you and Eko-ile (Babapupa) and other low IQ oduduwa minions on Nairaland. We simply step over dem pieces of craps and move on. We only engage smart folks, and such are thinning more and more on your side. One of these days we shall abandon Nairaland for you. ![]() |
Katsumoto: Since your bias prevents you from seeing it, I will help you out.I have always known you as a shameless lying dude. You did not disappoint. Carry go. While you are at it, please I beg you to open ya nyash well well because aboki husband is around the corner. I don de go. ![]() |
gboss4sure: Ojukwu waa a Hero though dead he is still our Hero. Ojukwu did what he did when it was clear the Nigerian military meant to carry out their genocide against the igbos. The only wrong decision he made was by trusting you Yorubas (Betrayers). That is why none of them is answering this question: Why did the aboki talk about Offa, Yorubaland and Awo instead of facing Dokubo AsarI of the Ijaw? |
Rhino.5dm:You mean after you drank otapiapia like your papa awo? lol |
Katsumoto: If you have a brain and or went to school, you would realise that it is impossible for one section to claim to hold another section's territory. Please explain how this is possible and how the Yoruba can claim Ilorin back. You did not answer my question: WHY DID THE NORTHERN MAN TALK ABOUT OFFA AND THE SEA ACCESS THROUGH YORUBALAND? Why? Remember that he was supposed to be responding to a little Ijaw man. Could he be more afraid of that Ijaw than the "almighty" Yoruba? ![]() |
onatisi: simple reason.we are more trustworthy and straight foward than ibos. The aboki guy was responding to Asari Dokubo (an Ijaw man), yet he veered off course to remind you (Yourba) that they have Offa all the way to the sea. If you try any nonsense they will descend on you. Now address that and forget about Igbo. |
@Katsumoto Forget about whether you betrayed us or not; why is aboki always reminding you that they have your territory in firm grip? Remember that the aboki guy was responding to Asari Dokubo but veered off course to poke a finger in your eyes. Your response has been to focus on proving that you did not betray the Igbo. Is this your indirect way of apologizing? If na joke make you stop am o. ![]() |
^^ But why is aboki always picking on you Yoruba sef? |
kettykin: From the above it seems Awolowo intended to be Neutral in the Civil war until he was forced to join the north, Really it was not the attempted invasion of Ore like some people are peddling all over the internet that caused Yorubas to join the war but the military might of the Caliphate. An open truth that is always vehemently rejected by fellow civil war losers. ![]() I just de laff. Abeg make I de waka biko. Mscheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew! |
T9ksy: @ Bolded,We actually don't hate anybody (you may not believe it but it is true), especially the Yoruba, because honestly we think that you are no match to us in real brain work. Please no offense. The way some of you react to your gap in that department is to lose your conscience: constantly betraying agreements and stabbing people in the back even if you will pay for it later. There is a difference between intelligence and treachery. Some of you mistake the one for the other. The "conquered territory" thingy is an open truth because the Hausa/Fulani constantly remind you of that. The Igbo are only enjoying the reputation they acquired through their actions in the civil war. Nobody doubts what we Igbo can do as evidenced by facts from fairly recent history. We paid for our reputation in BLOOD. Time to earn yours. ![]() |
Aigbofa: Conquered territory in their imagination. They are running scared, that is why they will bring up Awolowo in a conversation regarding Asari Dokubo. They understand what a radicalised Yoruba means to "one Nigeria"No my friend you still don't understand. They know that they have already lost the East, so they are flying a kite to remind you that you are their conquered territory. That's all. |
No wonder why Ojukwu said that "Awo was the best president Nigeria never had": in typical Nnewi man's Igbo sense. ![]() |
PROUD-IGBO:My brother don't even bother to go there. I learned many years back that the Nairaland Yorubas are narcissistic. Just wait for their reply. |
^^ Nobody is interested in 16th century "history". If that history were relevant, the Moors and the Turks would still be military powers today. lol |
Aigbofa: We were fighting Aboki long before Nigeria was created, if necessary we will fight them again... on our own terms. We may decide not to fight though if they agree to share iboland with us.We are already sharing YOUR land with them. lol Take a careful look bro. Also note that they always remind you of your status as conquered territory. ![]() Don't take my word for it, just look around. |
onomeasike: the ibos wont just put the blame and loss they suffered during the biafra war in the right quarters.clearly, many of them have not learnt any lesson.Would you do as Ojukwu (who was reportedly killed by AIDS) did in and expect to win a war?It is only a foolishman that will do the same thing in the same but expect a different result. The average igboman, even okonkwo character of the things fall apart fame,is more of brawn than brain.War is first fought in the brain, the strategy and humility to disarm ur enemy without his knowing and element of surprise is beyond the ability of average igbomen. If I am igbo,i will rather have the more matured ,beautiful and submissive igbowomen lead a war. These crop of igbos on nairaland are typical empty vessels of the igbos.Yes we are all empty vessels. Stand up and answer your fathers name. Stop looking at us. We are determined not to be betrayed again. Now stand up and face aboki (unless you are the aboki, lol). ![]() |
The truth cannot be complete if a lie is deliberately sandwiched in between. The quote below is PURE LIE. The truth is that It was the 98 per cent yoruba Third Marine Commando. . . blahThe 3rd Marine co was handed over and COMMANDED (for show of unity by the rest of Nigeria against Biafra) by the Yoruba sons, just to command. Nothing more. The overwhelming majority of its FOOT SOLDIERS were Middle belt, core North (even Chadians! ) and some minorities from Edo/Delta states. One can argue that the commanders may have done a good job, though I personally think that Biafras lack of international support (which would have delievered the strategic weapons) led to Biafra's defeat. Biafrans fought almost bare handed against a well equipped Nigerian invading force. If the Biafrans had a viable Navy (the type I would like), nobody would have left the west for Eastern flanks during the war. The march by the Biafran expeditionary force would have been unnecessary because the troops would simply be amphibiously landed in Lagos and from there chase Northern troops to the Northern borders with Chad and Niger republics. It is time Yoruba elite stop lying to themselves. They should face the North and leave us out of their problems because we are facing our own problems. I thank them in advance! |
van bonattel: May God help Nigeria to embrace the truth.Fixed! ![]() |
Mr.chippychappy:My brother there are some FUNDAMENTAL flaws in your opinion over this issue and I really would not want this thread to be about we Igbo and our neighbors. Suffice it to say that Ndigbo si na oru huru ka eji mbazu eni ibe ya mara na otu ihe ahu kwu eche ya -a slave that stands by and watches powerlessly as another slave is buried ignominiously should realize that the same fate awaits him in the future. Ndigbo are a VERY DEEP AND REFELCTIVE people. The "SS" you keep mentioning has a huge swathe of Igbo lands inside it.That alone is a reason to draw us in. The North may openly state that they are fighting the Ijaw, but they are really fighting against us Igbo to ensure they ruled our generations unborn, much like they are doing to the Yoruba today (as confessed by this man). So biko be reflective, visionary and pragmatic about it. Thanks bro. ![]() |
Aigbofa: You and your half baked intellectual balderdash. Yoruba the weakest link? Where did you get that from? Yoruba is the glue holding Nigeria together, when we decide it's over, it's over.In a twisted way I think you are right! lol That is why the North reminds you of how you sold off yourselves into perpetual servitude. The ONLY NEW INFORMATION on this article is what Awo did to avoid war with the North. He sold you off, from Offa all the way to the sea. Now, whether that deal is in you best interest is left to you. Calm down bro, I am not the enemy. Stop dodging the enemy. lol ![]() |
alj harem: My Igbo brothers, this must be an exicting periodWhere have you been al-harem. This forum has been cold without you. ![]() |
My first input is that the North is obviously trying again to scare the Yoruba into stabbing the south in the back; and I repeat -AGAIN ( at least to be their open conquered territory to the sea), because they believe that Yoruba is the weakest link in the south. Do you notice that they did not even mention Edo or even Cross river side, not to talk of Igbo land? So, they figure that Yoruba is the weakest link and they need to remind them of that, lest they forget. haha. I personally foresee a situation whereby the North forgets about the East (provided the East stays united -the fear of the Igbo by the North is the reason they would do this), and concentrate on using the West to access the sea. That sea access is the North's major concern. Anyone who thinks that the Igbo would sit out a war in our own backyard is wrong, and the North knows. ![]() |
I have not yet read any comments here, but let me first thank GOD for a wonderful day yet again in the history of Nigeria. Most of us younger people have been frustrated by the stoic silence of all old men/women who knew exactly what happened during the war. The more such men speak out the less likely Nigeria will continue to grope through the dark. Some southern tribes still think that they conquered the Igbo in the civil war. The ultimate truth is that they conquered themselves and the only hope for their own survival in 1967- 70. I shall comment later after reading other comments. ![]() |
Eziokwu So the Eva guy is right. Who are Dasuki's boys? Aguiyi Ironsi plot thickens. |
