Nigerian Film maker Ogheneovu Abraham declares intention to break world record for the longest movie watching marathon (Cinema) by an individual.

A Nigerian Filmmaker Oghenovu Abraham has declared his intention to break the World record for the longest movie watching marathon (Cinema) by an individual.

The record is currently held by Suresh Joachim from Canada who watched films continuously for an incredible 121 hours and 18mins in 2015.

According to a statement obtained from the Filmmaker, since Nollywood is the second largest film industry in the world churning out over 2500 movies each year, that record should belong exclusively to Nigeria.

When reminded about the fact that another Nigerian Israel Adebiyi had already applied to break the record, Oghenovu had this to say. "He hasn't broken it yet. I think it takes more than just declaring one's intention. You have to also think about the many logistics involved in achieving such a feat, and be financially and mentally prepared like Hilda Baci was. That's why it is called a world record.

He went on further to state that one needed to have a nollywood background to fully grasp the scope of the record attempt.

"Staying awake for up to 7 days and 7 nights to watch 100+ movies is not an easy feat by any means. A lot of preparation and brain work has to go into that, so a nollywood background is an advantage. On filmsets we sometimes shoot back to back for upto 48 hours or more straight, so passion for the craft is key. I have been in the industry for 13 years, had a few breakthroughs including when one of my films *A bosslady's nightmare* starring Mary Lazarus and Federick Leonard was featured on Dstv showmax and other popular streaming channels, planning a netflix debut at the moment, and I feel I got just the right motivation to break that record. Of course in the spirit of healthy competition I wish other contenders all the best, but a win for me will be a win for the entire Nollywood family, so I aint playing about this"

Viral Video: Arrest, Prosecute Asari Dokubo For Brandishing Firearms, Threatening Igbos - Comrade Iche Urges IG.

Comrade Saviour Iche , Founder " Voice Of The Voiceless Media" and Ambassadors of Peace and Enlightenment Foundation (AMPEF) condemns the viral video where Asari Dokubo was seen with multiple firearms as he spills out hateful ethnical crisis utterances against the Igbos, a display of high-handedness as he talks with impunity.

Iche said it is unbecoming of Asari Dokubo to show pomposity like he is above the law and can never be apprehended, this attitude will obviously lead him to his detriment if not cautioned by the law. For a man, a single entity to threaten the lives of a particular tribe is unacceptable, says he also boasted about how his father sold the igbos if not for British intervention as seen in the viral video.

Iche registered displeasure at this singular act of threat to the igbos by Asari Dokubo as he sits comfortably displaying diverse firearms. To the best of our knowledge, Nigerians have not legalized the use of guns for an individual, as an ex militant he was sighted with firearms, does this mean he is above the law and cannot be apprehended for illegal possession?, Comrade Iche questioned.

Asari Dokubo also spoke on national television with the whole world watching while he accuses the military hierarchy of oil theft and bunkering without evidence, how dare he come out and threaten igbos? this is threat of life of a particular set of region with the malicious intention of causing ethnic crisis. The authority need to call him to order, he has no monopoly of causing a rift as there can be counter reaction, Iche warned.


Comrade Saviour calls on the federal govt to look into Asari Dokubo's high handedness, a person who could call a press conference with the coat of arms behind him like he is the president of Nigeria and act with impunity. The police IG, Kayode Egbetokun, DSS and FGN should investigate, arrest and prosecute him for his criminal antecedents which includes the illegal possession of firearms and other of his criminal activities.
It should also be noted that where Asari Dokubo dwells has no good passage way or modern infrastructure, the people live in abject poverty, It's unfortunate he is bringing enmity between his tribe and the Igbos for he has no moral standard to talk down on any tribe.

Asari Dokubo is not representing the Niger Deltans but representing himself and as such should be brought to caution....

Special Report: Corruption, Injustice, Unfairness Fester Enrage Amongst Staffers Of NNPC Ltd.

NNPC is supposed to mean, Nigerian National Petroleum Company, but, very sadly it is now banded Northern Nigeria Petroleum Company as the Staffers of NNPC Ltd have taken deep rooted piquedness amongst themselves as Corruption, Injustice, Unfairness are clearly exhibited on a daily basis. It is really worthy of note that out of the eight ( members of the Senior Management Team (SMT), Six (6) are Northerners, while there are only two (2) members from the Southern Nigeria, One (1) each from South South and South West. And, very sadly again, there are no member (s) from the South East, despite the Board Chairman Mrs. Okadigbo and One Henry Obi who hailed from the South East are on the Board of the NNPC Ltd.


From the available information, all the viable Strategic Business Units (SBUS) are heavily manned by the Northerners for example TRADING, NAPIMS, NPDC, NRL, et’al, also most of the assets (OMRS) in NPDC are managed by the Northerners. And, again, the GECO in the last one (1) year has carried out ILLEGAL RECRUITMENT OF STAFFERS INTO NNPC LTD, while the NNPC Retail Ltd Staffers have been excluded in the implementation of the PIA as it relates to TRANSFER OF STAFFERS to NNPC LTD as the GECO ensures that his cronies are appointed to be at the head of affairs at the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulations Authority (NMDPRA).

The stinking corruption, injustice and unfairness are reeking up to high heavens as Nue Oil Energy Ltd a company registered on March 9th, 2022 with a share of One Million (1,000,000) did buy 100% shares in OVH Energy Marketing Ltd and ASPM Ltd from OVH Energy BV, a joint Venture between Vitol and Helios in September 2022, but, very painfully the acquisition cost was not stated in the filing at the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) the Staff of NNPC Ltd are largely pained that in the same September 2022 NNPC Ltd did acquire the assets from Nue Oil a company with two (2) Directors-Dagazau Mumuni, Chief Operating Officer, (COO) OVH and Shanono Sharif Zailani, River Brand Energy Ltd as stated in the Cooperate Affairs Commission (CAC) document of the company (NUE OIL ENERGY) with reckless impunity the GECO has directed the management of OVH take over the management of NNPC Retail Ltd while Dagazau Mumuni, COO, OVH and Director in the NUE OIL ENERGY has been appointed Special Adviser Downstream to the GECO, NNPC LTD when there is EVP, Downstream NNPC Ltd.

The Staffers of NNPC Ltd do not pleasant with the appointment of Mr. Huub Stokman, a white man as the Management Director (MD) NNPC Retail Ltd, whereas they are Nigerians with more cognate industry experience, competency and capacity in the Downstream Sector of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry as available information from the CAC on the NNPC Retail Status shows that Stokman not a Director in NNPC Retail Ltd since he does not seem to have a valid work permit from the Nigerian Immigration Services (NIS).

The Staffers of NNPC Ltd are heavily saddened that Stokman and his Management Team did manage OVH in 2021 were the company did record a huge loss of over four (4) billion naira only, with a 5% market share and a support expenses of over twenty-five (25) billion naira only for 2021-2022, while the Staffers of NNPC Ltd noted that in 2021 NNPC Retail netted a profit of over five (5) billion naira only, a market share of 100% a retained profit of over ten (10) billion naira only and a support expense of less than five (5) billion naira only for 2021-2022.


And, again, the actions of Stokman has caused painful disaffection, disunity and demotivation of NNPC Retail Staffers as a result of the IMPOSITION of his OVH Staffers as management team on NNPC Retail Staff, despite the uncommon and immense contributions to the unimaginable growth and success of the company even with some NNPC Retail Ltd, Staff having over 15 years Cognate Downstream Experience, Competency and Capacity before joining the NNPC Retail Ltd and very sadly they have not being promoted since they were employed in NNPC Retail Ltd over ten (10) years ago.

The truth is that the Staffers of NNPC are asking questions WHO actually acquired WHO? Did NNPC Ltd acquire NUE OIL ENERGY (OVH) or Vice Versa. The Staffers of NNPC Ltd are making a clarion call on the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) and his presidency to urgently come to salvage the National Oil Company from the hands of the heavily corrupt management overseeing the affairs of the NNPC Ltd and her subsidiaries. And, again the Staffers are still asking the powers that be, that they should be immediate investigations of NNPC Ltd and her subsidiaries in areas such as

SAD!!!! Water Tank Falls off Stand Into Building, Crush 20 Year Old to Death , Injure Others.

One person has been confirmed dead while three others sustained internal injuries.
The incident happened at the early hours of Saturday morning at the Egbe-Idimu LCDA, Alimosho Local Govt Area of Lagos state.

The Grand mother of the deceased, Alhaja Yemisi Odejimi while narrating the ugly situation disclosed that their 20 years old son, Jamal Nureni was sleeping in a room with three others when suddenly they heard a loud sound from the ceiling.
“I just woke up to take my bath when suddenly I heard a loud sound and a noise coming from behind, I quickly put on my cloth and ran out.

Getting to the place, I realized that a water tank had fallen from the other compound into my son’s room, one of them was electrocuted and the other sustained injury, they were all taken to the general hospital where Jamal was confirmed dead”. She said.

One of the boys in the room also said that he was the only one who did not sustain any injury because he went out to observe his early morning prayers as a Muslim.

Speaking with the landlord and owner of the building from where the tank fell, O.B Taiwo, and the CDA chairman, we realized that they are taking the whole sad incident with a pinch of salt, carelessly saying “it is an accident, and can be settled between the the two families”; when in fact it should be treated as a matter of gross negligence on the landlord’s part...

Ndigbo In APC Sacks Engineer Joe Igbokwe , Pledges Loyalty To Lagos State Government, Party Leadership, Urges Them To Stop Recognizing Him As Apex Igbo Leader.

 The Igbo Socio - Political pressure group in the All Progressive Congress Party, APC, known as "Ndigbo In APC (Authentic)" , has rejected and sacked the Former Senior Special Assistant On Drainage, SSA , to Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu, Engineer Joe Igbokwe, as Igbo Apex leader, labeling him " a Serial Blackmailer".

"He is a serial blackmailer whose stock in trade is to assassinate people's character especially Igbos with capacity that wants to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the party", the group alleged.

The group led by Eze Uche Dimgba , popularly known as Okpotemba, at a press conference held on June 16, 2023,at his Julie Estate palace in Ikeja, Lagos, enjoined the Lagos State government, APC leadership in Lagos state and the general public, to cease recognizing Joe Igbokwe as principal Igbo leader in the state, noting that  Joe Igbokwe has been sacked as their Apex leader, following their recent general Assembly Meeting that  rejected  his selfish leadership style, which they tagged as "Me-Only-ism" system.

"Ndigbo have vowed not to work with Joe Igbokwe in the party because he doesn't have their trust neither does he represent the party interest", they lamented.

While further addressing the media on the groups achievements for APC, it's National Executive Chairman, Eze Dimgba, accused their estranged leader, Igbokwe, of undermining APC and her interest , hence a clog in the wheels of progress while pretending to be an asset to the party.

"We are members of Ndigbo In APC (Authentic) Lagos State.We worked assidiously for the victory of our party at the just concluded elections, not minding the shenanigans and selfishness of one particular individual-Joe Igbokwe,who always lay claim and take glory for all our efforts even when he practically contributes nothing or add value to the growth of the group, the party and has remain the clog in the wheels of progress.His style of politics and activities are to ensure  estrangement of Ndigbo from the mainstream of Lagos politics because he wants to remain the only cock that crows in Lagos state politics.Joe Igbokwe does not want Igbo elites in the political fold, he pretends to be an asset to the party while he is undermining the party and her interest".

They argued that despite laying claims to be Apex Igbo Leader, Igbokwe has never won or delivered his electoral polling Unit for APC even for once.

"He has never delivered  any election to our party, even in his own polling Unit.That speaks volume of his lack of interest within the Igbo community that he claims to be part of and this has been a minus to Ndigbo In APC that he claims to be the Apex leader".

The group regretted that"Ndigbo In APC which was created to galvanize the igbos for the party and to take care of Igbo interest,has not been able to achieve that because of the lack of synergy between Joe Igbokwe and the igbos".

"In the last elections and the preceding ones, our party have always lost in all Igbo dominated areas including Coker Aguda where Igbokwe resides".

Further  expressing displeasure with what it termed Joe Igbokwe's continued self centeredness during the long period of time he acted as Igbo leader in Lagos state, which they claimed have resulted, contributed and or  imparted negatively to APC Igbo bloc votes campaign and Igbo residents followership, the group reminded their party hierarchy  that Joe Igbokwe has over stayed his usefulness in the APC.



Reaffirming their loyalty to APC, the group stated that"Having successfully concluded the election and the inauguration of the National Assembly leadership, we hereby felicitate with the leadership of both Houses of the National Assembly.we use the opportunity to congratulate the president and Commander in chief, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his Visionary role in ensuring a transparent National Assembly leadership....

Heritage Bank debunks false publications

Heritage Bank Plc, one of Nigeria’s fastest growing commercial bank has debunked rumours making the rounds of alleged boardroom crisis rocking the bank as well as alleged mass sack by the Managing Director, Mr Akinola George-Taylor in a bid to oust the owners.

According to a press statement made available to Lovetvnews Nigeria, the rumours are the figments of the imaginations of elements bent in tarnishing the image of the Managing Director, Mr Akinola George-Taylor and bring disrepute to the bank.

The statement described the allegations as spurious, wrong and defamatory.

It further says “these articles have used unrelated facts and conjecture to create a fictitious narrative”, the statement says.

State of the Nation; A Muslim Muslim Muslim Muslim leadership

The heat generated by BAT's preference for a Muslim/Muslim ticket in a country of disputable population of Christians and Muslims is yet to die down!

A reflection on the roles of many God fearing Nigerians who in their quest for freedom, justice and fairness, pressured BAT to yield ground and give consideration to a Muslim/Christian ticket fell on deaf ears!

Typical of him, he stuck to his guns till his long time dream to be President was delivered without consideration for Christians and Christianity!

Leadership, they say is by example, but BAT priced his ambition over National unity!

Speculations of APC as an Islamic movement with the mission to Islamize Nigeria started with his man, Rauf Aregbesola, in Osun State as Governor. The same Osun which Aregbesola allegedly in clandestine format changed its name to "The (Islamic) State of Osun! But secular minded citizens like Senator Ade Fadahunsi neutralized Aregbesola in his own town and by extension Osun East and the state as a whole. He was building Mosques for Muslims and promoting the need for secular society, I was his man in the forefront of that project. Today, Osun has a Governor who doesn't know if he is a Christian or a Muslim and the entire state is on the dancing floor with him. On persons like Fadahunsi we must lean to find our way back to the dancing floor of secularism where religion does not matter for our collective humanity to prevail.

The insinuations BAT left unattended to in Aregbe's Osun Islamization Agenda, and kept mute till the table turned against his interest in Osun went national.

When Buhari became the President, many took it for granted, that BAT, a freedom fighter and one of the living heroes of our democracy who led our long walk out of military bondage will ever betray our trust by substituting military bondage for Islamic yoke for nothing other than selfishness of long time dream to be President!

Throughout the 8 years of the Buhari regime amidst the attendant persecutions, and killings that people with the faith of God, through and in Christ suffered under that administration, not once did we read BAT lines or hear his voice in condemnation of the perceived genocide!

I was a strong antagonist of Muslim/Muslim Ticket, MMT, same way I would have been of a Christian/Christian ticket, CCT!

My position and of many pro-life ideologists was further strengthened by the fact that no deliberate attempt was made by the immediate past administration to stop the killings!

Lip service was paid to it though, without the follow up of a consistent, coordinated tactical engagement of those responsible.

I need not remind Nigerians of the fact of his party's involvement that came public through Baraje and several others.

How his party arranged to bring in foreign militias from Mali, Sudan, Guinea and other Islamic States for the purpose of using them to vote and win the 2015 election!

Your decision for MMT was beyond politics. Sinister as it obviously was, I couldn't put my finger on it, but not anymore!

The beginning of the idea was the meeting you held with Northern Elders which was publicly reported that consideration will not be given to a Northern Christian in the choice of your running mate. When the question of how you hope to sell this idea of a Muslim succeeding a Muslim, with a Muslim/Muslim ticket to the Southern Christians was asked, you assured them you know how to handle Southern Christians!

Results of the Presidential election from the south shows the contrary. Lagos was a revelation of how grievous that decision was!

May I congratulate BAT while he is still savouring the moment of the most contentious political victory in the history of Nigeria, without failing to let him know that he is presiding over the most divided nation on earth today, courtesy of his blind pursuit of his Presidential dream.

Holy and unholy arsenals were deployed to win the war!

If Nigeria was divided in 2015, it has been further fragmented in 2023 through 8 years of Buhari's refusal to be pragmatic in leadership, particularly with respect to the activities of non State actors!

All regions are today standing alone. Worse hit are South East and North Central. Both deserve great considerations if stability is our priority!

Unfortunately, still within our regions is the slitting sword of religion tearing the people apart!

Our states are not spared. Kogi, is an example of politics taken too far in State sponsored arson!

Let me not digress, I wish to inform His Excellency and all well meaning and sincere Nigerians that substance has been given to our fear for Islamization as an official Agenda of APC as a political party. Do we really need to ride with a bus driver whose final bus stop his conductor has exposed.

It was a tactical deception of Nigerians particularly christians who gullibly bought your claim to competence over Christianity in a nation of at least a 100 million Christians!

Leadership is by example, and if BAT's ambition couldn't be invested for justice and fairness to our faith, why should other party men do. If Orji Uzor Kalu is magnanimous to consider himself as a deputy and not the SP what then is my reason for losing sleep!

Consideration for lives of Nigerians was what cost Goodluck Ebele Jonathan his desired ambition for second term. The blood of one to him, was worth more than the ballots of a million!

He let go of a million ballots to stop blood from flowing on our streets!

Now that Tinubu, a Muslim is the President, Shettima a Muslim, is the Vice President, we suddenly remember there are Christians in this country who should have representation at the National level through the office of the Senate President and ambition of an individual against the rule of the class as being equals, having right to Senate Presidency should be traded!

Alas, Christians who agreed that Shettima was more competent than every single Christian in Northern Nigeria have started saying they hope I am not supporting Yari in an election I have no vote.

If it was difficult to find one competent Christian in a nation of 100 million Christians to balance out BAT's ticket, then the caucus that produced Yari, Muslim and Kalu, Christian deserves to be commended for being meticulous enough to get a Christian to pair with Yari!

Those who saw Atiku /Okowa, Obi/Datti and Sowore/Magash but rooted for BAT/Shettima are telling us of the option of Akpabio/Barau, Christian/Muslim, against Yari/Kalu Muslim/Christian pairing. All we asked for was balance of ticket from APC and we were denied. How I wish there is a caucus offering Muslim/Muslim ticket in the 10th senate. What is good for Tinubu/ Shettima is good for all!

They are now suddenly awoken by the nightmare of Muslim/Muslim/Muslim when in actual fact where we are headed is Muslim/Muslim/Muslim/Muslim!

For if the foundation be destroyed, what shall the righteous do. Our foundation of leadership and pattern of its balance for many years was broken over one man's thirst of injustice and unfairness to win an election. Please others also have ambitions!

If you ask me how we got here I will remind you, when our tree of leadership structure under which we took shade was cut down to cultivate a new tree. Sun is now overhead, we are scrambling for shade under which we can shelter!

Tinubu has cut down the tree of justice and fairness and it will take time to grow another, when the seedlings have not been found not to speak of nursing it in the nursery!

The tree our faith as Christians in the political space fell with Buhari's integrity against Goodluck. The stump of it Tinubu has removed by his claim of Shettima's competence. If we neither have integrity and competence why should we be considered for leadership.

And trees takes time to grow. "Se ko ma lo bee lori owo yen!"

Dubai is a Muslim Country and things are working. Now I am ready to live in an all Muslim leadership structure, at least that is the vision of APC!

If however we desire to find our way back under the tree of life before the fruit of religion was eaten, then I will go with Fadahunsi and encourage all Senators in hope of secularism and humanity to do same. I am not from Osun, but he is my Senator at the senate on the Greater Nigeria Project, GNP.

Just as BAT has no right of interference, same way we don't! It is a privilege to be consulted as Stakeholders but we have no votes!

All 108 Senators are classmates. Let them all dream and let their choice be respected!

Sweden makes sex an official sport, set to hold first European Sex Championship next week

The European Sex Championship will begin on June 8 and will go on for six weeks where participants will engage in sexual activities from 45 minutes to 1 hour each day with their matches and/or activities.

Sweden has become the first country in the world to officially register sex as a sport and will also host the first-ever European Sex Championship in Gothenburg on June 8.

The championship which will take place under the guidance of the Swedish Sex Federation, will go on for six weeks with participants engaging in sexual activities under 16 disciplines, including seduction, MouthAction, penetration, and more.

The European Sex Championship will begin on June 8 and will go on for six weeks where participants will engage in sexual activities from 45 minutes to 1 hour each day with their matches and/or activities. The duration will vary depending on the match, however, some reports said that the competitions can go on for as long as six hours a day. 

The championship is set to witness the participation of 20 people from different countries, as per initial registrations. While the winners will be decided by a panel of three judges as well as audience ratings. 

As per reports, participants will also be judged across 16 disciplines that will include MouthAction, seduction, penetration, endurance, number of orgasms, knowledge about sex, chemistry and communication between the couple, appearance, and so on. In line with these aspects, participants can score between five and 10 points.

Alive&Thrive teams up with NAWOJ to sensitize on maternal, infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN)- task media on resourceful information.

Alive&Thrive in collaboration with Lagos State NAWOJ, other stake holders held a one day media round table interactive meeting on maternal, infant and young child nutrition (MIYCN) on 23rd May, 2023 at the Dovers Hotel to discuss the roles of the media in accelerating the scale of MIYCN in Nigeria.

Attendees of the meeting includes: Chairman NUJ Adeleye and secretary NUJ Mr Tunde Olalere, chairperson Nawoj Dr. Adeola Ekine, The Alive and Thrive Facilitators - Patience Agada, Wunmi Ajayi, Govt officials from the ministry of health and information, the media,stake holders, others...

Dr. Adeola Ekine, chairperson Nigeria Association of Women Journalist Lagos State Chapter told the media that Alive& Thrive in collaboration with NAWOJ has organized the MIYCN program of a round table discussion as done yearly to encourage female journalist report more about issues bothering on infant and maternal nutrition . This is termed as very important for the alpha female (mothers) to be able to feed a child with the rightly appropriate nutrition as this goes a long way in giving the proper nutrition for development.

Dr. Adeola stated that the program was also created for female journalist to sit and talk about ways forward in reporting health issues appropriately, a way of giving female journalist an insight into the negative effect of deficiency a mother and child could suffer if malnourished. There is need for mothers to be well informed on nutritional values for children which includes a balanced diet with little or no cost yet satisfying and highly nutritional in avoidance of deficiency that could make a child go sickly. She tasked journalist to report more of such cases by way of credible information to educate the populace especially nursing mothers.

During the round table meeting, one of the facilitator Patience Agada FHI 360/ Alive & Thrive talked extensively on the need to accelerate the scale of MIYCN in Nigeria noting that it is invariably evident for breast feeding mothers to be ignorantly unaware of imminent situations that could arise when a baby is not given the right nutrients through exclusive breast feeding and other healthy diets to have a proper mental and physical development.

Patience interactively discussed the Alive & Thrive initiative, says it is aimed at saving lives , preventing illnesses and improving the health and well being of mothers, children and adolescent. Alive & Thrive since its inception collaborates with the Govt, media, stakeholders and other partners to elaborate on the MIYCN initiative founded by Bill and Melinda Gates foundation with its Nigeria country office in Abuja. Said the iniative has been on since 2016 while the first phase of the project ended in 2021, the second phase commenced from 2021 to 2026.

What Alive and Thrive hopes to achieve in Nigeria...

The project hopes to achieve a sustainable national program for maternal, infants and young child nutrition through vast information to create awareness that can penetrate into the system enough to be understood and practiced. The audience focus for Alive & Thrive are 3 geo political zones- Yobe , Borno, Bauchi ( North East), Sokoto, Kaduna, Kano (North West) as well as Lagos.

Area of focus to sensitive on MIYCN in Nigeria is bothering on issues of Stunted growths, anemia, low birth weight, child overweight. Patience also noted that it is important for employers to create enabling environments for working class mothers to breast feed exclusively as this could help the child with the right nutritional values developmentally instead of giving the infant alternative foods due to disenabling environment. This could also enhance a considerable number of exclusive breast feeding from the scale of 10/100 to 80/100.

The vice chairperson NAWOJ , Bunmi Yekini took centre stage in the round table interactive session to indulge the media to report credibly and in simplicity, expantiated on the essence of inculcating nutrition in MIYCN by analytic information. Says propagation of informative/ creation of awareness by media could accelerate the scale of MIYCN in Nigeria despite the challenges of collating information through government health organisations in Lagos and some other parts of Nigeria.

Yekini also noted that for a child to grow properly , nutrients is essential but only few mothers practices nutrition, the need for a massive informative creation of awareness through diverse means especially the media. She further stated that the media is needed to push stories and agenda, having the right information from credible sources is paramount so as not to misinform the public. Says media needs to get the right source of information to pass on, what becomes a problem is if the responder is not ready to give audience to the interviewer, which balls down to no story or information that could guide the public on certain health matters, the media needs Lagos state govt especially in the ministry of health to be cooperative.

She said as far as MIYCN is concerned , there is need for the Lagos state govt to be responsive to the medias to aid credible reports, the government angle of MIYCN will further spur alertness and awareness. Going forward, she noted that as a reporter for health coverages, get your story done undeterred with or without the cooperation of the govt by use of experts, data analysis in a more simplified way to express your information.


The NUJ Chairman Lagos state council, Mr. Adeleye Ajayi noted that the program organized by Alive &Thrive is highly commendable as it is meant to accelerate the MIYCN program in accordance with capacity building as ascertained by the leadership of Lagos NAWOJ to provide several training processes on health reports organized for medias. He said Journalist should also try to emulate veterans in health reporting , those who have created a Land mark and impact as he encourages media organisations to establish health and gender based beats to produce more journalist as experts in health reportage..... Journalist are tasked to do a lot of case study and research to further enhance reporting, they should also enlighten the rural women about the implications of deficiency especially those who do not have access to information on nutrition for MIYCN, Adeleye said.

The NUJ chairman also profer solutions to difficulties faced when getting information from recipients in government facilities, he said the media can also get a first hand information from NGOs and other foundations to get resourceful stories for publication.

Wumi Ajayi, state coordinator of Alive& Thrive project said the health education of a mother and that of the child is important especially in Nigeria due to the rate of deficiencies leading to death, Stunted growth, malnutrition, over weight etc. She stated that the mother should learn nutrition to its fullest starting from during pregnancy - eating the right food, fruits and vegetables to exclusive breast feeding from birth to 6months. She said during this stages of exclusive breast feeding the child develops the right immunity against health challenges that could have become overwhelming if proper nutrients is unavailable.

After 6months of exclusive breast feeding, the suckling child should be given a supplementary of alternative food in addition to breast feeding, it is important to note that knowing what you give to a child as food determines his or her well being as a result , the media is needed to sensitize the women on the appropriate food to give their children without having to spend much yet attain the right nutritional value.....

CAMAN Scores SON High on Cable Industry Regulation.

The President of Cables Manufacturers Association of Nigeria has scored the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) high on enforcing regulations and maintaining high standards in Nigeria’s cable Industry.

Ms. Bukola Adubi, who is also the chief operating officer (COO) of MicCom Cables, made the commendation during a monitored radio program. She however called on SON not to lose its guards as perpetrators are always evolving and coming up with new schemes to thwart their efforts.

The CAMAN executive noted that Nigerians now have sufficient access to high quality, made-in-Nigeria cables; thanks to the collaborative effort of SON and CAMAN.

According to Adubi, while SON ensures strict compliance to laid-down regulations, CAMAN as a body function as a check to the activities of its member companies by paying regular visits to their respective factories to ensure standards are maintained.

She said, “The Cable Industry in Nigeria is one that even the SON, the Federal government, and other regulators can boast of. We commend the Standard Organization of Nigeria SON for ensuring the enforcement of regulations. However, the entire story of the journey cannot be told without involving CAMAN.



“We have all come to that place where we understand that, for us to continue to make great strides, there are things expected of us, and we cannot fail.



“So, we frequently check on one another. It is fantastic how we do that. I can send my team to this cable manufacturing factory and say we want to check your system, are you doing what you are supposed to do? You can also come into mine as well. Sometimes, we go as a group to different factories.



On clamping down perpetrators of substandard and fake cables, the association’s president said, “Yes, we are in competition at the end of the day, but for the fact that we share this industry which has gone through so many battles against adulteration, substandard, fake cables, and others; we are fighting a common enemy, so we come together. This has been the singular reason why made-in-Nigerian cables continue to be seen as one of the best.



“A lot of the things we do, we must do in conjunction with the regulators. A lot of ideas have been brought forward as to how we can kill this menace.

“We are constantly in talks with regulators, the ports and customs, and are regularly creating awareness. The more noise we make about who we are and what to look out for, the more people get enlightened.”



Speaking on the ease of doing business in Nigeria, Mrs. Bukola Adubi, praised the Federal government for a recorded improvement while calling on the incoming administration to do better especially in the manufacturing sector.



The second iteration of the Nigeria Subnational Ease of Doing Business Baseline (EoDB) Survey, which was released on March 27, 2023 shows a marginal increase in Nigeria’s overall EoDB satisfaction score to 5.69 on a 10-point scale from 5.45 recorded in the inaugural report.......

A total of twelve pilgrims in Ajeromi Ifelodun federal constituency of Lagos State are beneficiaries of sponsored pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj by Hon Francis Barthlomew Chima aka OmoBarca.

As a generous philanthropist and politician, OmoBarca has been sponsoring constituents of Ajeromi Ifelodun for the annual Hajj irrespective of political affiliation to Saudi Arabia since 2011 as a means of giving back to the society and as an assignment from God.

According to his media aide, Obinna Francis Solace, the criteria for selection of beneficiaries includes being a committed Muslim faithful known to be religious enough to deserve the honour of hajj and they must be residents of Ajeromi Ifelodun LGA.

The selected pilgrims will depart to Saudi Arabia by the end of May. Responding after the prayer and dinner session that took place at his office, Mba Street Ajegunle and Garden Tops Hotel, Amuwo Odofin respectively, the beneficiaries were delighted and excited about the impending religious exercise. They prayed individually and collectively for Omobarca asking God to continue blessing and providing for him. They also prayed for his family, business and political career.

In his remarks, OmoBarca assured the lucky pilgrims that the trip will be a yearly occurrence. He also advised them to pray for themselves more when they arrive Saudi Arabia and he will be very happy to see them progressing in their works of life and family within some period of their return.

He also advised that they use the pocket money he will give them for feeding and not bother about buying him any gift. He also encouraged them to be good ambassadors of Ajeromi Ifelodun and Nigeria.

Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Makkah (Mecca) by Muslim faithful in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the largest gatherings of its kind in the world. Hajj 1444H (2023) is due to start on 26 June 2023.

The Lagos State government approved the sum of N3,200,000.00 being total fare to be paid by Intending Pilgrims performing the Year 2023 Hajj exercise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

OmoBarca single handedly covered the fare and other sundry expenses for the 12 beneficiaries.

Igbo youth leader cautions Eze Chris Offia to desist from parading self as Chairman Ndi Eze Council Lagos.

The Igbo youths in Lagos through their leadership is vehemently opposing the claims of Eze Chris Offia, Ezendigbo Ibeju Lekki parading self as the Chairman of Ndi Eze Council in Lagos. Attention has also been drawn to the sabotaging traits exhibited towards his fellow colleagues in the council of Ezes as the Igbo youths strongly condemns this act.

Chief Dr. Okechukwu Ezuegbunam, the Chairman Igbo speaking community ikotun igando lcda / Dept. Youth Leader for Igbo speaking community Alimosho under the chairmanship of Chief Sunday Udeh has refuted claims made by Eze Chris Offia claiming the chairmanship of Ndi Eze in Lagos when his tenure has whollistically expired and another leader inaugurated.

Uzuegbunam as the mouth piece of the Igbo youths in Lagos condemns Eze Chris effontry of forcefully exercising a position he no longer is found worthy to hold after expiration as this is tantamount to impersonation. It has been duly noted that Eze Chris Offia is the past chairman while the newly inaugurated chairman is Eze Dr. CC Nwokedi officially , says the new office should be respected not abused. Eze Offia was then inaugurated by Chief Solomon Aguene but his tenure has expired, hence he should stop parading himself as the chairman, council of Ndi Ezes in Lagos, he quipped.

Uzuegbunam stated that the current chairman of Ohaneze High Chief Sunday Ossai instituted a new chairman Eze Dr. Chika Nwokedi upon the expiration of the former Chairman of Ndi Eze council Eze Chris Offia. The Igbo youth leader buttressed that the new govt of Ohaneze in Lagos commenced with significant changes which is paramount for the smooth running of an organisation and as such gave new leadership positions to befittingly merited persons who can efficiently manage the affairs of the council.

Uzuegbunam further said in quote that:

"Eze Chris Offia in his claims as Chairman of Ndi Eze council Lagos had denounced an airing Eze of Ajao Estate, Eze Nwajiagu saying that he isn't recognised as an Eze and was never coronated, describing him as being fake due to some utterances that led to the confinement and charges levied against him for his misguided utterances about inviting ipob to Lagos to guide the igbos against intimidation of any sort by other tribes. The self acclaimed Chairman of Ndi Ezes reason for this denouncement can also be seen as a sabotage to the council as the airing Eze fulfilled all rights needed to be crowned and should be recognised even during his crisis as that is termed solidarity despite the condemnation of his act.

As a former Chairman of the council he is in no position to make declarations he has no authority over. His continuous pose as Chairman Ndi Eze Council in Lagos is firmly opposed by the Igbo speaking community due to his expired tenure."

In an article dated May 16th by News Planet International, the publication established the stands by Ezes in Lagos confirming the new leadership of Eze Chika Nwokedi as the authentic chairman of Ndi Eze Council in Lagos.

The youth leader of Igbo speaking Dr Okechukwu Ezuegbunam reaffirms this fact while he cautions Eze Chris Offia to desist from parading self as Chairman Ndi Eze Council Lagos. He said Eze Chris was never appointed or elected and can never assume that position due to the constitution governing Ohaneze affirming that the president and Chairman can't be from same eastern zone.

On this note, Uzuegbunam calls on the BoTs to bring Eze Offia to question over his blackmail, instigation and propagation melted out on his fellow Ezes. It is noted that the arrest of Eze Nwajiagu was based on Eze Offia's treacherous Instigation to the Lagos state governor in probing a mere talk which was termed as "Inciting". The igbos should disregard his claims as he is seen and known to be a traitor.

The Igbo youth leader also calls on the support of all igbos in Lagos and diaspora to continually support the newly elected chairman of Ndi Eze in Lagos State HRH Eze Dr. Chika Nwokedi based on leadership qualities,his capacity to keep peace and unity as well as the astonishing record of his achievements even before he was coronated a king👑 and thereafter.

APC Equity Group Issue a communique to draw the attention of political leaders on the perceived Injustice suffered by Owan East- See details

The APC EQUITY GROUP of Owan East is drawn from all the eleven Wards of the
Local Government. It is a group of persons of like minds who believe in equity and
fairness in the sharing of political positions.

Rising from a well-attended meeting held in Afuze the administrative headquarters
of Owan East Local Government, the group critically examined the political
strength of Owan East and what we get after elections.

The essence of this Communique issued on the 7th May, 2023 is to draw the attention of the Leaders to the
perceived injustice suffered by Owan East when it comes to sharing after every
election.

Owan Federal Constituency is made up of Owan East and Owan West and there is
an unwritten agreement as it relates to zoning and sharing of positions which
presupposes or upholds the principle of equity, justice and fairness.
As a Local Government and Group, we believe in the leadership of Comrade
Adams Aliu Oshiomhole and have absolute confidence in his ability to ensure that
those who work also benefit.

Our attention has been drawn to the repetition of the position of the Board
Member of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) in Owan West
instead of this position moving to Owan East if it must remain in Owan Federal
Constituency.

It is also pertinent to mention here that as a group, we completely condemn the
operational mode of appointing persons without electoral value or has nothing to
contribute to our Constituency into positions meant for our Constituency.
We are aware that one Hailmary Ogolo Aipol who has been nominated to the
Board of the North East Development Commission does not vote in Owan or
anywhere in Edo State. She plays her politics in the FCT and as such she will not and can never represent our interest.

We wish to also place it on record that Owan East has been without any political
appointment for some years running now and yet Owan East will always deliver
because we have good, reliable and dependable leadership.

We want our leader, Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole, to take note of the
following facts:

a.
That Owan East has always been in the forefront of any of his aspirations as
evidenced in the prompt and timely endorsement of his senatorial ambition
even when other Local Governments were yet to decide.

b. That the only way our leaders can continue to enjoy the support of the
followers is when benefits go to the right persons after election and not
persons who will merely claim our Constituencies for the sake of positions
but have nothing to contribute to our party down home.

c.
That an Owan East son leading the rigorous campaigns throughout Edo
North and leading us to the victory we recorded and Owan East not being
the first partakers of the dividends of the election is a step in the wrong
direction.

Consequently, the group unanimously resolved as follows:

1.
That the nomination of Hailmary Ogolo Aipol be withdrawn and cancelled and
should be replaced with someone from Owan East who will contribute to the
fortunes of the party in Owan, Edo North and Edo State.

2.
That Owan East is due to produce the next Minister that will be coming to
Edo State.

3.
That Owan East should be compensated with various appointments in view
of the incurable attachment of Owan East to the APC which has showed in all
the elections.

Why Senator Ike Ekweremadu must serve his jail term in United Kingdom

Until I had the opportunity to listen to the full judgement against Senator Ike Ekweremadu and others, I was already feeling sorry and praying to God for mercy. I was moved by the parental instinct of what any parent can do to save his child and by the series of emotional narrative from different quarters majorly tilted in favour of the Senator and condemning the young victim who was tricked to the United Kingdom. As I listened to the entire ruling, I was glued to my seat as the Judge analysed the sequence of the crime and the roles played by all three actors: Mr and Mrs Ekweremadu and Dr Obinna, that I came to the conclusion that they all deserve their punishment.

 

They must be allowed to serve their sentence, so as to serve as deterrent to others like the Senator from Nigeria who on daily basis use their office and position to not only trample on the rights of the poor but also dispense of them with careless abandon.

 

I need not narrate the events nor the ruling (but would urge that you listen to the ruling on Youtube, it’s out there) and draw your own conclusion afterwards.

 

Here are some of my takes from the Judge’s point of view. These are questions and I shall attempt to answer some.

 

First, there are a lot of lessons to be learnt from this professionally, legally and morally.

 

I shall attempt to look at this issue on both professional and moral grounds. Before then here are some questions I would love to ask: a. Do you think the Ekweremdus deserve the judgement handed out to them?
b. Were all the Nigerian high-profile personalities justified to have written to the judge for leniency?
c. Were the Ekweremadus justified by their actions going by the Crown's account of the event?
d. Would you elect to take a life to save yours when not in self-defence?
e. How about Dr. Obinna? What was the driving force behind his complicity or actions, Was it altruistic or professional or for filthy lucre?
f. As for the victim, what would you have done if you were in his position, would you have accepted compensation from the Ekweremadus?
g. Was he justified to have blown the whistle on the Ekweremadus?
h. Lastly, if you were the victim, what would you have done?
i. Just one more, do you support the clamour for the royal prerogative of mercy for  the Ekweremadus by King  Charles, if yes, what about Dr. Obinna?

 

Professionally, as a nurse, who trained, practised in Nigeria, retired and relocated to the United Kingdom, I feel ashamed at the parlous state of our medical facilities in Nigeria, and the carelessness with which those in authority are addressing the welfare of the healthcare professionals in Nigeria. Senator Ekweremadu was the Deputy Senate President of Nigeria, making him the Number 4 citizen in Nigeria, and for all his more than TWO decades in elective office in the second arm of government-legislative, is it not a shame that he could not find any hospital in Nigeria to provide the service he was spending millions of pounds for in the UK for his innocent daughter?

Imagine if Nigeria has at least ONE specialist hospital fully equipped for complex surgeries of the nature of a kidney transplant, would he have faced his current ordeal?.........

The foreigner had in a video claimed that his life is under threat from armed thugs ,who invaded his land and threatened his life and those of his workers .

The family also absolved a very popular Ogun State estate agent ,Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye of any land grabbing or threat to life on the foreigner or any other person .
.
Arapetu family described the real estate practitioner as a buyer of the family ' s land ,after verifying their documents at the appropriate places .

Chief Adesola Taoheed ,the secretary of the family ,who spoke on behalf of the family said " Our attention hasbeen drawn to a viral video by a foreigner ,Madoka Madagascar in respect of our family family land in Osopo Village along Lagos -Ibadan exoressway

He added that the said Madagascar is unknown to our family . We di not sell any land to him and whatever documents that he has is invalid . There is no armed thug on our land as claimed by the foreigner ."


" He claimed to be the head of project to a certain Carol International . We did sell any portion of our land to Carol International .Carol International claimed to have bought their land from the Awopetu family but we got a judgement against the said Awopetu Family ."

The family scribe added that " We have our approval of title from the High Court in Sagamu in 2019 . We also have our paper from the Supreme Court of Southern Nigeria 1910 in respect of it ."


Chief Adesola also stated that " The police through the Force Criminal Investigation Department FCID) had done a comprehensive investigation on the said land and made a formal report on he land .

" We only sold part of our land to Alhaji Mutairu Owoeye . He is not a land grabber on our land and he has not contracted any thug on the said land . The general public should disregard Madagascar .He is a land grabber ."

In a police report ,signed by DCP Mustapha Argungu on behalf of the DIG in charge of FCID dated 28th November 2022 and sighted by our correspondent,the police submitted that the said land was sold to Carol International under the guise of acquisition from the Ogun State Government .

Detailed investigation by the police atFCID through Ogun State Police Command ,Zone 2 Police Command ,High Court of Ogun State , Ogun State Land Registry,Office of the Ogun State Governor and other places also revealed that the said land was not acquired by the government and could not have been sold as an acquired land to the said foreigner and Carol International .

Rasak Kasunawo Alase ,the head of the Arapetu family also denied any relationship between his family and the said foreigner or Carol International.

He however called on the Ogun State Governor,Prince Dapo Abiodun ,the Speaker of the State House of Assembly Olakunle Oluomo and the police in the state to ensure a discreet investigation to ascertain the claim by the foreigner

The family head. said " Madagascar is only trying to misinform and deceive the amiable governor of Ogun State ,Prince Dapo Abiodun and others .

YOUR MEN AIDING DISOBEDIENCE TO COURT ORDER ,LAND GRABBING - Company tells CP Owohunwa


A Lagos - based company NetConstruct Nigeria Limited has urged the state commissioner of police ,Idowu Owohunwa to urgently forestall further aiding and abetting flagrant disregard and abuse to an order of a Lagos State High Court by policemen from the state police command

It also says that policemen from the state police command have become a ready - made tools in the hand of land grabbers ,who have continually disobeyed a court of valid jurisdiction with the police looking the other way .

The company also called on the Lagos State police boss to ensure a discreet and extensive investigation into the activities of policemen in the state on a vast expanse of land in the Ikate Elegushi area of he state .

NetConstruct also accused the Lagos State Building Control Agency ,the Ministry. of Physical Planning and Urban Development of complicity in the disobedience to the court order .

Ladipo Kehinde ,NetConstruct ' s Legal officer noted that a Lagos State High Court ,presided over by Hon Justice O O Ogunjobi had on the 9th of November 2021 in a matter between NetConstruct Company and Amytorix Company Nigeria Limited granted and Abah Onah , granted an interlocutory injunction restraining the parties involved in the case from carrying out any further construction work on the land .


He however expressed his surprise to the flagrant disregard to the order of the court following the continuous and unhindered development and construction works on the land .

According to him ,policemen from the Lagos State Police Command have continually and physically aided these land grabbers to disobey a court of valid jurisdiction by protecting their continued activities in contempt of court orders .


The legal officer stated that many blocks of flats have been erected on the disputed land , despite the police in Lagos State being informed of the illegal construction .

The Lagos State Building Control Agency and the Ministry of Physical Planning at some points in time also reportedly regarded the buildings on the land as unapproved and marked them for demolition .


Surprisingly ,the state government forced NetConstruct to pay fine for the demolition of the illegal building and made attempt to demolish the buildings until " Order from Above "halted the demolition .

It was gathered that the perpetrators of the disregard to the court were in the past arrested by policemen from the state Criminal Investigation Department ( SCID )Panti Yaba but were prevented from being charged to court by top police officers from within and outside the Lagos State Police Command.

Justice Ogunjobi ,while delivering his ruling on the prayer for the Order of Interlocutory Injunction noted that "There is no doubt that the purpose of interlocutory injunction is to maintain the status quo and thereby preserve the res ,the subject matter of the litigation from bing waisted ,damaged or forfeited away with the result that if the case succeeds ,the result will be nugatory in that the successful party will reap an empty judgment ."

" It therefore follows that when a court of law finds out that the matter sought to be restrained will render the case successful , nugatory ,then there is a need to grant an injunctive order to maintain status quo "


The judge also stated that " In the instant case ,the claimant / applicant has shown sufficient evidence to warrant the grant of an interlocutory injunction , restraining the defendant/ respondent in order to preserve the subject matter at this suit at Alma Beach Estate ,Lekki Lagos pending the of the substantive suit determination"

Justice Ogunjobi therefore ruled that " Consequently ,an order of interlocutory injunction is hereby granted restraining the defendants ,their agents ,privies and / or successor - in - title from committing any further trespass or carrying out any further construction or or erecting any structure and or advertising for the sale of that parcel of land measuring approximately 29 958 690 square metres ,which is covered by the deed of sublease dated the 29th day of January 2009 between Alma Beach Estate Limited and the claimant and registered as No 63 page 63 in volume 2223 of the Land Registry ,the Secretariat ,Alausa ,Ikeja

Courtesy Visit To The Newly Appointed Police Chiefs In Lagos By Eze Chika Nwokedi And Entourage.

The visitation commenced on the 26th April 2023, when Eze Chika Nwokedi, the Okpoko 1 of Ijegun Ijeododo and entourage took out time to welcome the newly appointed Police chiefs in the Nigerian Police who had just been positioned to serve in Lagos Commands and in different capacities.


Eze Chika and entourage's point of call was the Zone 2 Command where he was warmly received by a long time friend AIG Ari Mohammed Ali, the sitting AIG of Zone 2 Command. In magnanimity,the digital Eze and his entourage couldn't but express their satisfaction and utmost gratitude for the timely appointment of the Inspector General of Police , Usman Alkali Baba in positioning an operationally efficient high ranking officer into an office well deserved. AIG Ari Mohammed Ali has a notable record in combating crime to its fullest in the different capacities he had served over the years and as such will be a good footing for Lagos and Ogun State to experience his overly professional prowess with a penchant for law enforcement through deterrence.

Other offices visited includes the DCP Umar Shelleng Psc, DC Admin, Zone 2 Command and DCP Ishola Lanre, mnips,psc(+) DC Ops Zone 2 Command respectively as the display of magnanimity was extended to these offices in order to show cooperation and gratitude to the Nigerian Police for their resilience in combating crimes while protecting lives and properties in the society.

The final visit was taken to the office of AIG Frank Mba, the newly appointed high profiled Police officer of (FCIID) Alagbon. He was Force Public Relation Officer of the Nigeria Police  (FPRO) for many years before his promotion to the rank of a Commissioner Of Police, served in Ogun State and now the sitting AIG of FCIID Alagbon. AIG Frank has worked asidiously in different capacities notable enough to be positioned into a new feat. Eze Chika and his entourage also expressed their profound support as they warmly welcome and congratulate AIG Frank Mba into his newly attained position. Encouraged him to keep up his good work as done in subsequent years in service as a Police Officer of great repute. In magnanimity, the entourage appreciated his efforts and contribution so far in the investigative capacity he had displayed so far as opposed to crime and injustice.

Eze Chika in his generosity time and time again had led friends, cabinet members, association to always appreciate the effort of the police by supporting to aid flexibility and efficiency through various gestures in kind for their servitude towards humanity as uniform personnels. He says the Nigerian Police had put their lives in line to secure the society and as such, will always show support and keep close relationships. He also said his alliance with the Nigerian Police started over 25years back, a relationship he had kept valuably due to societal values and trust placed in them, a reason for his continuous appreciation and show of support.

FG plan to loan $800m from worldbank as palliative for 50m poor Nigerians is unfounded - Iche

Comrade Prince Saviour Iche, founder of Ambassadors For Peace and Enlightenment Foundation (AMPEF) remains poignant on governmental policies and decisions which he described as insensitive to the plight of Nigerians.

He said the recent economic crisis will only worsen with the proposed plan of the federal govt to get a loan of $800m from world bank as palliative for 50million poor Nigerians which is unfounded. This government has barely one month to hand power over to the incoming government, and as such has no need for an additional loan to previously existing unpaid loans amounting to trillions of naira incurred during President Mohammadu Buhari’s 8yrs of reign while the rate of poverty in Nigeria has unimaginably risen.

Iche stated that Nigeria is one of the poorest country in the world yet has various natural resources that could enrich its citizens. When this administration was to take over power, they campaigned by giving false promises and hopes.One of their numerous lies is: Giving the youths who are unemployed stipends to survive before availability of jobs. The government supposedly used billions of naira to feed Nigerian children during the lock down only in the North not Nigerian children in general.

Speaking as an advocate for the people to be their voice and also as the National President Association of Micro Entrepreneurs in Nigeria, Comrade Iche expressed astonishment at FGN meander as to how these 50m poor Nigerians was ascertained, By what standard will be the mode in selection of the 50million poor Nigerians as estimated? The FGN has no shame in its dealings, he quipped.

Iche suggested that the FGN should Instead create empowerment program to counter the rise of poverty rather than loan huge amounts to supposedly feed the people. He says getting the loan is a way to divert funds for personal interest thereby surmounting loans in wait for the new administration which is very disturbing decision. Nigerian is ranking top in debt amongst countries, a reason why China has refused borrowing Nigeria money.

My question is:
What do they need this much money for?
Whom did they government spend it on?
For all the borrowings, there has been no visible usage as expected.
Nigeria based on calculation is above 200m, and just 1% of this count is rich and they are politicians, so now this 50m people calculated to be impoverished what's going to be the sharing formula to help these Nigerians? How is the government going to alliviate poverty if the beneficiary is not productive?Iche questioned. He further said the government should look beyond wasting funds on importation but should be a producer of product as a way of subsistence.The resources can be invested in the youths to acquire skills through skill acquisition programs, the unemployed can have productive skills to start their own business and be employers of Labour. The incoming government at the helm of affairs should advance the economy from the Era of consumption to production.

Comrade Iche concluded his summation on government's inappropriate decision by discrediting the true intentions of the $800m loan, he says the borrowed money is a way to siphon cash. Efcc should be ready to arrest and probe Buhari’s administration to the latter from top to bottom at the instance of handover,we can't be in a country where we only hear billions of dollars has been given to poor people yet poverty prevails and increases. If we must loan money at all it should be used to equip Nigerian youths by creating skill acquision centres where people can get handwork or skill to be employers of Labour instead of waiting to be employed, Iche stated..

Humanitarian Service: Stranded woman who gave birth to triplets appreciates Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo, chiefs for timely financial support.

Mr and Mrs Chima gladly welcomed HRH Chika Nwokedi, cabinet members, DC Okezie and friends who had come to the rescue of the couple upon the delivery of a set of triplets but stranded at the hospital unable to pay outstanding bills due to lack of funds.

The couple asked for assistance from the public as they couldn't pay for the treatment and delivery of the triplets before and after delivery. Upon the public request, Eze Okpoko swinged into action by reaching out to the couple in cash and kind as well as his cabinet chiefs and friends who accompanied him to Success Land Clinic & Maternity Centre Ijegun Ijagemo to give humanitarian support.

Mr Chima, the father of 4, a petty trader and husband to the mother of the triplets Mrs Chima, narrated the ordeal encountered during and after the delivery, said his wife had to go through Caesarian session to deliver the babies and he could not afford the bill charged thereafter which had prompted his public request. The situation was almost going out of hand before Eze Okpoko located them. He thanked Eze Chika Nwokedi for his kind gesture, appreciated his humanitarian services especially at a very difficult period where they had almost lost all hope. Received cash gifts of N350,000, baby clothes and toiletries, baby foods, cartons of indomie and other food items as well as individual support from friends of Eze Okpoko 1.

The Doctor, Mr. Owoeye who delivered the new born babies also told his side of the whole ordeal, said the couple came in on emergency without any proper medication or scan prior to the due date of delivery. He said upon their arrival, Mrs Chima was unconscious and breathless, he implored all medical measures to resuscitate the pregnant woman to make sure she delivered her babies in peace. After delivery, the couple didn't have money for hospital bills or proper food for the nursing mother. The doctor with the help of a matron Mrs Francisca obigbo was able to create a conducive and healthy environment for the triplets and their mother but implored that they seek public assistance to help sort their bills.

Upon arrival Eze Okpoko was received by the Obi of Ijagemo Ijegun and his entourage, he prayed earnestly for the visiting royal, he said Eze Chika leads an exemplary lifestyle as a leader that he is and would always be respected based on the humanitarian roles he has played in the life of the less privileged in the society and how he has always carried his subjects along on all his kingly activities. Prayed for his long life in good health and happiness.

Eze Chika Nwokedi told the media present why he had decided to embark on the journey as seen. He said he is never happy to see anyone impoverished and stranded in life as this is a position he had experienced during his road to the top. Said he feels fulfilled whenever he is able to liberate the down trodden and hopeless in the society, promised to support the new born babies to a certain stage, help both parents start up a business to help improve their financial situation to a reasonable length where they can fend for the kids welfare conveniently.

NDLEA declares prophetess, celebrity couple, wanted over seized illicit drugs

. Arrests 4 members of cartel, obtains court order to freeze millions in bank accounts, seize Lagos, Port Harcourt properties linked to leaders of syndicate

. Over 143million pills of opioids, 2tons of C/S seized in Apapa, FCT, 5 states

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has declared a Port Harcourt, Rivers state based popular prophetess and founder of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, Faith Ugochi and a celebrity couple: Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen wanted for recruiting teenage girls into drug trafficking while they serve as the arrowheads of an international syndicate operating from Los Angeles, USA.

The lid was blown off the cartel when NDLEA operatives at the NAHCO import shed of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos intercepted a consignment of 32.70 kilograms of Loud, a strong variant of cannabis concealed in cartons of used wears on Wednesday 16th November 2022. A freight agent, Ukoh Ifeanyi Oguguo was immediately arrested while further investigations led to the arrest of four more suspects: Chikodi Favour; Obiyom Shalom Chiamaka; Nnochiri Chidinma Promise and Edward Omatseye (aka Montana).

The 15-year-old Favour was the first sales girl to be arrested at a fuel station in Ajah area of Lagos. She thereafter led the operatives to a duplex accommodation around Ikate area of Lekki, which was later discovered to be a rented apartment by the criminal group purposely for four young girls that the syndicate uses for marketing and distribution of illicit drugs. Another girl, Shalom who is a fresh graduate of Agricultural Science from Rivers State University of Science and Technology was picked from the house alongside Favour.

During their preliminary interviews, it was learnt that the syndicate rented another building used as drugs warehouse inside Richmond Estate, Lekki. By the time operatives located the house, it was discovered that other members of the syndicate had broken into the store and carted away bags of illicit substances. However, some illicit drugs paraphernalia including sealing machine, bloating machine and packaging bags were recovered from the warehouse. A follow-up operation led to the arrest of Edward Omatseye at his residence around Lekki area. Edward confessed during interview to be working for Igho and his wife, Danielle, who are identified as the overall heads of the criminal group.

Investigation was able to establish that Favour and Shalom were recruited as salesgirls in the illicit drug trade by Prophetess Faith Ugochi of Christ Power Adoration Ministries, using her church platform to recruit teenage girls brought to her for help, on behalf of the celebrity couple: Igho Ubiribo (aka Tiny) and Danielle Simba Allen (aka Dani), who are the owners of the business, while Edward Omatseye (aka Montana) coordinates the illicit drug trade activities for them in Nigeria, with Nnochiri Chidinma Promise as representative of Ben Cargo Ltd, a freight company responsible for the shipment of illicit consignments into the country.

While Nnochiri Chidinma Promise and Edward Omatseye (aka Montana) have already been charged to court and are currently facing trial at the Federal High Court, Lagos alongside Ben Cargo Ltd, a freight company which had been linked to two previous drug seizures and also involved in the current case, several attempts to get Prophetess Faith Ugochi, Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen submit themselves for questioning have proved abortive.

A letter of invitation sent to Prophetess Faith Ugochi of Christ Adoration Ministries, No. 27 Anozie Street, Mile 2, Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on 28th November 2022 was received and acknowledged by her mother, with whom she runs the Church. The letter was followed with a reminder on 9th January, 2023 after a long wait.

In the same vein, letters of invitation were also extended to Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen. A reminder was also sent when the couple didn't show any readiness to respond to the first invitation. While Prophetess Ugochi fled her home and went into hiding but continued her prophetic ministration on Facebook, the duo of Igho and Danielle initially sent a legal representation to ask for another time to honour the invitation, they have since gone incommunicado.

Curiously, they hurriedly moved all funds traced to their company Lasgidi Backwood Ltd where all proceeds from the sales of illicit drugs were deposited into a private account of one Victor Imagoro. The Agency has since blocked the sum of Eighty Million Naira (N80,000,000) traced to the account and obtained a court order to seize all properties including a fuel station linked to the suspects in Lagos and Port Harcourt.

The NDLEA has further sought and obtained an order of the Federal High Court Lagos to declare wanted the celebrity couple: Ubiribo Igho and Danielle Allen, as the arrowheads of the illicit trade as well as Prophetess Faith Ugochi, who recruits teenage girls as sales representatives for the duo.

In Kaduna, operatives on Monday 27th March raided Dan Wata village, Soba LGA where they arrested one Abdurrashid Musa, 33, with 142.8kg cannabis while the principal suspect, Ibro Danwata is still at large, while another suspect, Shamsu Abdullahi (aka Waja), 35, was also arrested the previous day during a follow up operation at Rigasa Kaduna, after he had abandoned 80,000 tablets of Diazepam weighing 13.4kg and escaped arrest earlier.

No less than 63 bags of cannabis sativa weighing 600kg stored in a house at Okpe village in Akoko-Edo LGA were recovered on Friday 31st March when operatives raided the area, while a raid of a warehouse owned by one Shehi Mallam at tomatoes market, Dei Dei Abuja same day led to the seizure of 80 sacks of cannabis sativa weighing 842.4 kilograms. In Cross River, 12,000 pills of Tramadol 225mg were seized from a female passenger, Talatu Sale Adamu, 46, when NDLEA officers intercepted the commercial bus she was travelling in along Ogoja/ Katsina-Ala road on Monday 27th March.

While a suspect, Abraham Alaigwu was arrested at Slaughter, Trans/Amadi area of Port Harcourt, Rivers state with 91.7kg of cannabis on Thursday 30th March, 228kg of same substance was seized from Ayodele Osuya, 35, in a Toyota Camry car around Quarter Guard area of Akure, Ondo state.

While commending the officers and men of MMIA for a painstaking investigation of Prophetess Faith Ugochi and the celebrity couple, Igho Ubiribo and Danielle Simba Allen along with other members of their cartel, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) assured that no effort will be spared to ensure the fleeing suspects are brought to face the consequences of their action.....

Meet Eric Imonitie, A Man Of Distinct And Instinct.

One of the raging arguments in politics is the purpose of politics or political participation itself. The need to query purposes and existence is innate in human beings, and it is not out of place to question the purpose of being in politics or trace the roots of the rationale behind political activism. Authors write for several reasons and their works are offshoots of several influences and experiences. Historical events like military dictatorships and the Nigerian Civil War have led to several literary works on politics over the years and so it becomes imperative that x-raying the actual purpose of being called a politician herald another genre.

I won’t allow my readers to dissipate energy in folding up their sleeves before giving them respiratory kindness- I will go straight to the point without taking an uncharacteristical position.
The conventional reason of venturing into Politics according to Emeka Ojukwu whose position has merited a prominent place in this piece,is to leave the society better than one met it. But very paradoxically,the reverse has become the case of majority of the people in politics today.If you like call me a prophet of doom or boom,I don’t see political participation in this side of the world fulfilling purposes in the next generation. The sole aim of political actors today is pecuniary from top to bottom and it makes me apprehensive.



Yes,I agree that fiscal strength is ultimate in human endeavors,but as you tread on the road of personal salvation,be kindhearted enough to consider the society and the humans that dwell therein-this is where the lacuna is standing like the Olumo rock.

However,I must confess that there is a complete gentleman who is not given to proclivity, pettiness and avarice even as he dines with men of iniquity,he has taken a distinctive and instinctive position without playing by rule of undercut and ignobility, he’s the leader of APC ward 04 in Owan East Local Government Area Of Edo State. He’s a businessman extraordinary but gentle, generous, benevolent and highly cerebral in fittings, substance, perspective, disposition and style. His name is ” *Great Eric Imonitie* ”

Eric Imonitie for many years has remained who he’s both in character and style. He’s never influenced by the transducers of wrong doing who nobody exists in their world. For Imonitie,it is the people first, second and third,and by marginal extension even fourth before giving consideration to himself or his family cabal. But for others,they don’t even give consideration to anyone or anything else, except themselves till the end of time.One would have expected that Imonitie will follow suit with his constant interaction and socialisation with people who moral burden is hanging on their necks, instead he has retained his proprietary of selflessness and people oriented programmes and direction as he travels on the political route.

Moreso, Eric Imonitie who is a certified pragmatist has done a lot in Owan East Local Government Area Of Edo State. Not that he has ever been appointed or elected into any office,but through his personal enterprise and acute brain work,he has provided street lights, water , enrollment fees for WAEC candidates and financial assistance for small and medium scale business owners in Owan Land, including your’s Sincerely when I was to open my pharmaceutical outlet in Uokha,my country home.

Eric is not like other political jesters who say what they cannot do. He’s a promise keeper vis-a-vis a slave to his promise,he doesn’t venture into big-big-talks and leverage split personality.He doesn’t tell you he knows those he has never met with, like these nauseating jesters who will tell you “I had a dinner with Bill Clinton last night”, meanwhile they may not even sight Clinton physically till the terminal point of their lives.Eric is refined and unique. He has the leadership dearth in many of his contemporaries and as such should be given the front seat in the politics of Edo State.

It is worthy of note that giving ovation to people who are not deserving of it is a crime against humanity,also is rewarding complacent individuals against men of shrewd determination for a better society. Eric symbolises greatness and excellence in one capsule.In the 2023 general election, Imonitie committed his hard earned resources to jack up the ratio of winning for the All Progressives Congress in Owan East,he was not bothered about profit making, instead delivering for his party was the father of all consideration,by his judgement.

It is a common adage in Africa that one should not put his eggs in one basket, but Imonitie has dified this saying by putting all his political hopes, ambition and aspiration on the shoulder of his one and only leader,the only one he knows and trust, Alhaji Abdul-Ganiyu Lawani AKA Abu Millionaire. NLC no longer relevant to the masses, they are sell outs - Comrade Iche

Nigerian Labour Congress(NLC) has been the last hope of the masses for many years, due to how swift they swing into action when there is a national issue that needs urgent dialogue with the government. These issues are usually created by wrong governmental policies taken without much considerations as to its adverse effect on the masses

NLC as a figure that represents the Civil servants, traders, artisans and so on is seen as an umbrella that shields the populace on rainy and sunny days. Before now, NLC as a body had very significant relevance like in the days of Oshiomhole and the rest leaders from previous years.

Certain decisions taken by the government involves engaging NLC who stands as the representative of the masses and will only agree with certain decisions after weighing its pros and cons before actualisation.

NLC must be informed and conversed with in agreement before putting these policies into action, they stand as part of government policy makers. Before petroleum prices increases, they will be part of the process to know if its going to cause an outcry or not as Labour is seen to be a stake holder in the government.

We see this positive effects when Labour was independent but now the government has taken over its independence as they have become sell outs, never taking action on time and never reaching a resolve as seen in recent scenarios. They have been bought over by the government, a reason they delay an action even when the masses are poring out their pains. Labour has sold themselves out to the govt that's why the govt doesn't regard their decisons any longer.

The question is,

Who's interest is Nigerian Labour Congress representing? Are they for the masses or they are simply representing self interest?

Unattended issues in the country raises suspicions as to whom NLC is serving, Who then should the masses run to when there is challenges unresolved? It is very disappointing to know that the masses do not have a mouthpiece to reckon with. The entire populace depends solely on NLC as they are the father of the daily workers, businessmen, artisans and so on yet have shifted loyalty to the government rather than the people.

Labour was formerly regarded with high esteem but we can't say same as NLC has proven to be inefficient in handling the concerns of the masses in recent times, the govt takes decision without labour while before now several matters of concern in the country had Labour dialoging for solution. When the issue of increase in fuel price overwhelmed the populace, the govt would shift blame to marketers and the marketers will In turn apportion blames to the importers, the importers will Inturn accuse the crude oil price regulators, at that point the masses do not know what to believe, a situation whereby Labour should dialogue with the govt to ascertain where the issue lies and create a resolve.

Labour appears to be handicapped in making effective dialogue with the govt. Hence, Labour needs to defend the keen observance of the populace to counter where their loyalty truly lies. When ASUU strike happened, Labour could have stepped in if they hadn't sold themselves out cheaply to the govt. Recently, there was an audacious increment in fuel prices, they threatened to go on strike but govt disregarded it because they have sold their integrity for cheap gains , the govt fixes a bent over candidate for NLC leadership so as to manipulate the masses.

We do not expect a candidate chosen by the government to work against it, a reason why even if Labour takes decisions on resolving issues by going on strike, they will usually back out at the last minute with out resolving the issue, suspending the actions without solving the problems simply because they have sold themselves to the govt through receiving take homes.

The issue of the new naira note scarcity which had ensued for 3 whole months, buying money with money is yet unresolved yet Labour backed out on strike at the very last minute, Labour who ought to fight it out with the govt for the sake of the masses kept silent. In order to make us feel Labour is working for our interest, they only issued a statement instead of public broadcast which shows that the kind of NLC we have now can only bark and not bite.

Nigerians have suffered worst times with shortage of naira yet Labour kept quiet, issued a strike notice but call it off without solving the problem. Who are they deceiving? NLC whom we have come to rely on as our advocates have been a sell out. Recent Chair persons of NLC in the last 4yrs should state with facts "At what point have they successfully advocated for the masses? They are all sellouts and Nigerians can never take them seriously, they have failed the masses in resolving bothersome national issues.

Labour leadership should come out and tell Nigerians what they have done to help ease the suffering of the masses by advocating on their behalf to get a solution to naira scarcity. Labour who ought to be the hope of the masses on critical issues are being discussed without carrying Labour along due to the sell outs

Under the watch of NLC, the masses can't even get money from the bank for critical treatments due to naira scarcity yet claim to be the mouth piece of Nigerians.

NLC leadership has a lot of questions to answer, they are no more relevant due to their sell outs and it's a call for concern....

Eze Okpoko and Friends Pay Routine Visit to Various Commands, Commend Nigeria Police (Photos)

Eze okpoko and friends paid a routine visit to different police commands as done quarterly every year to appreciate and establish new founded grounds with the Nigeria police as the principal law enforcement agency in Nigeria. For the effort put into securing lives, properties, to create sanity and curb crime in the society.

Those who accompanied Eze Okpoko includes: High Chief Higinus ezemelite
Celestine Edozie, Udoka Chikeluba aka peacemaker, Moses Omodibo, Remigus Donatus, Micheal Ofoegbu, Asika Simon
Ukaigwe Chinonso. All these prominent persons are business tycoons in Lagos who are gurus in their field of entrepreneuralship and have come together to also pay appreciation, homage to the Nigerian police to foster familiarization as well as a well grounded relationship.

The first point of visit was the Lagos police command where the entourage was warmly received by Dept. Commissioner Bassey Sam, DC Admin Lagos police command Ikeja, he appreciated the magnanimity expressed by HRH and friends as he welcomed and made conversations with the group.

The visit was extended to Police College where the group which comprises of Eze Chika and friends met with CP Ajala Ayoola, the CP Police College Ikeja lagos. Meeting Ajala for the first time, Eze Okpoko expressed his profound love for the Nigerian police which had started as far back as 30yrs of unflinching support as well as a good established relationship, having associated with top high ranking officers who are still serving while some are retired. CP Ajala welcomed the group as he further appreciated the kind gesture shown by the gifts received, a display of utmost appreciation and love for the Nigerian police.

Subsequently, the entourage moved to the DCA's office at Airport Command Ikeja, DCA Wale Ajao and ACP Oliver Ezirim received the guest with open arms for the thoughtfulness to pay a courtesy visit. DC Wale appreciated the ever relentless effort of Eze Chika to always check in on officers welfare periodically especially for his magnanimity, his support for the Nigerian Police, promises to also show appreciation in time to Eze Chika to further return his kind gesture.

HRH Chika Nwokedi has time in time out made friends and ally with the Nigerian police which has edged him into a cordial relation with officers not minding the rank or status but with a common goal to always appreciate the effort they have put into the country’s Peaceful coexistence, curbing crime, applying justice without prejudice and how they have served the people.

He said,

"There is no doubt that there are bad eggs amongst the Nigerian police as there are in every other parastatal, but the good officers are simply more than those who exhibits ineptitude but thankGod for the justice system who will always seperate the sheeps from the wolves and that's why I will always appreciate the good ones because it is not easy to be in the face of danger all the time and still be alive."

Customs&Tradition:"Obi Eziokwu" Palace celebrates 1yr Ofala Festival/Coronation of new cabinet chiefs.

Mammoth crowd gathered at the Ofala(traditional thanksgiving ) of Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo, HRH Chika Nwokedi 1yr on the throne celebration.
A number of high profiled traditional Rulers which includes the council of Ezes in Lagos, uniform chiefs, titled men, friends, well wishers and members of the press had come to celebrate with the digital Eze as he is fondly called by media personalities.

The program began with the coronation of new cabinet chiefs at Eze Chika's palatial residence and they are: Ezewanyi Esther Ihechi O. C the Ngwu Kufere Mba of Ijegun Ijeododo palace and Chief Ndubuisi Eben Uru ka na Chukwu of Ijegun Ijeododo palace, thereafter guest proceeded to the prestigious and colorful event Centre for the commencement of the ofala celebration.

The new cabinet chiefs couldn't but sing praises of Eze Chika Nwokedi for his kind and generous gesture which cuts across tribe and races. Ezewanyi Esther noted that with this new title bestowed upon her is a new achievements for her. She promised to live up to the task ahead of her to deliver her mandate accordingly while she extends more philanthropic gesture towards those in need. Chief Ndubuisi Edem also spoke about HRH as a selfless person who will always look out for the interest of others more than himself, he appreciates the new title and promises to live up to the new task ahead of him.


It was indeed a colorful occasion with rich igbo cultural displays in dances, songs, prayer and breaking of colanut as culture demands, cutting of cake, presentation of certificate awards, donations as well as other ceremonial activities.

Eze Chika Nwokedi told the press that the ofala celebration was created to give thanks for a successful 1yr of reign over the igbo people of Ijegun Ijeododo to deliver the mandate of leadership by fulfilling the people's wish. As an igbo arrow head of Ijegun Ijeododo, he recounted his achievements upon his one year kingship as he expresses utmost gratitude to the Igbos for respecting his authority as well as the care and support he has given to over 100 widows and less privileged persons. He said he is deemed worthy of the throne due to his leadership qualities so far displayed in various circumstances where people needs a voice to speak for them and a hand to support them both financially, physically and mentally, he has a trade mark for his selfless act of giving, says his success depends on how much he gives.

Eze Chika also used the medium of the celebration to preach peace, described the little disagreements between the Igbos and Yoruba in the community where he presides as political, advises all to live in peace and brotherliness. He sited a situation which happened in Ijegun Ijeododo where the Igbos felt intimidated due to the destruction carried out with the instruction of the Yoruba traditional head in Ijegun market place and how he was able to douse the situation to create peace amongst the tribes.

Speaking with some traditional igbo rulers in attendance for the Ofala festival, all in one voice commends Eze Chika Nwokedi for his achievements in the last one year of kingship, says the Ofala is a way to thank God for a successful year so far as they wish him more successful years ahead. Says the general elections have come and gone, the rift between tribes is political, now all should live in peace and oneness.

Comrade Prince Saviour Iche, the president AMPEF, a human rights organization based in Lagos ably represented his association. He told the press that Eze Chika Nwokedi is a patron of the foundation, describing him as a non tribalistic leader who at every given time stood for the interest of the Igbos in his jurisdiction of leadership, often times Eze Nwokedi has displayed great leadership qualities as well as philanthropic prowess towards even non tribe. He said the general election outcome should not cause any form of tribalistic sentiments or violence as all should live in peace and togetherness.

The ceremony ended with a closing speech from the secretary of the palace, Chief Ifeanyi Igwegbe, thanking all who attended the function as he promises to do more with the mandate of kingship given to foster peace and further explore the act of willful giving.

Nigerian Selected into Prestigious Global Eisenhower Fellowship

Aba-born Uzoma Nwagba – lead innovator and Chief Operating Officer of Nigeria’s BOI Growth Platform – has been selected into the prestigious Global Eisenhower Fellowship.
Named after the 34th President of the United States – Dwight Eisenhower – the Fellowship selects the most impactful and innovative mid-career leaders from across continents to tackle pressing global challenges.

Commemorating its 70th anniversary, the Eisenhower Fellowship has selected 26 Fellows from five continents for its 2023 Global Program. Fellows commence with six weeks of intensive travels across the United States for engagements with leading executive and experts in their fields – including the US government, technology, venture capital, politics, medicine, banking, law enforcement, and academia.

Their travels help shape projects of impact they will undertake after they return home, with continued support from the Eisenhower network.
Announcing Nwagba’s selection in a February press release, Erin Hillman, President of the Eisenhower Fellowship says: “with the goal of ‘reversing perennial poverty in Africa’ by changing the paradigm from ‘aid for survival’ to ‘aid for productivity,’ the Growth Platform has provided more than $472 million in credit and grants to 4.1 million micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises since 2017. Fifty-six percent of recipients are women and 57 percent are younger than 35. Nwagba, who earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2014, oversees daily operations and the Platform’s 22,000 staff and field-based loan officers. On fellowship he will develop an upskilling program he calls “Nigeria Valley” to train a new generation of software engineers, product designers, Web 3.0 developers and blockchain professionals who will work remotely from Nigeria in thousands of global jobs.”

Nwagba began his career as a software engineer at Microsoft, USA, designing mobile software for emerging markets. Following an advanced business degree, he returned to Nigeria an investment professional at ACA private equity, as one of 11 professionals on its $600m fund. Seeking greater impact, Nwagba joined Nigeria’s public service soon after and has been central in the design and execution of technology-driven public interventions targeted as micro, small and medium enterprises.

Some of these interventions include the World Bank’s NG-CARES, and the Federal Government’s GEEP (MarketMoni, FarmerMoni, TraderMoni) all domiciled in Nigeria’s Bank of Industry.

Ambassador of Peace and Enlightenment Foundation President, Comrade Iche made clear his stands concerning the report by the chairman Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa which made rounds on the internet. The Commission made remarkable revelations that it will start to go after governors when the new government assumes power. He said EFCC was established to fight corruption and it ought to be independent as the name Implies, the commission has to be independent to avoid federal government interference in its affairs.

AMPEF president said research and antecedents have shown that the commission is not independent but federal govt controlled. Before the present administration of Pres. Muhammadu Buhari took over power, there were some inherited high profiled cases from Goodluck Jonathan administration, in no pertaining order is the case of Uzo Kalu as well as former governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha's case to mention a few.

When the former EFCC boss Magu was taken away from his chairmanship position and Barwa took over, the inherited cases from the time of former EFCC boss Magu had arisen but was swept off the carpet especially when the former governor of Edo state Adams Oshiomhole made a careless but basic statement that , "Anyone who has issues with EFCC can cross over to APC and their sins will be forgiven." This statement had made many politicians who had pending cases with EFCC cross over to APC and they were pardoned in inclusion of those convicted and sentenced.

Uzor Kalu, former Abia state governor that had issues with EFCC was released and till today the case is being swept under the carpet...

Now how independent is EFCC?

This question needs an immediate answer, If this administration claims to fight corruption but is as well corrupt. Subsequent ridiculous situations presented itself right under our noses as a snake swallowed billions of naira yet EFCC couldn't send the perpetrators to be remanded.

Comrade Iche further buttressed concerns of how a snake could swallow cash and still be alive, under the same EFCC a monkey has also swallowed cash yet the looter wasn't prosecuted. The money recovered from ikoyi in billions of naira has no trace neither has anyone come forward to claim ownership.

This is a wake up call for EFCC and also the present administration that these high profiled cases should be called up again.
If EFCC has no skeleton in its cupboard by allowing FG interference into crucial decisions , they should start prosecuting corrupt leaders who swinged into action to join APC by Oshiomhole's affirmation of case pardon.

We can also say EFCC is independent and efficient when they disallow intrusion of FG in its affairs and prosecute offenders from before and now not sweep cases under the carpet because the defendant is privileged.

By apprehension, the looters of economy supplies should be sought for as this will reassure Nigerians that there is justice in the system, not picking up yahoo boys here and there. When these yahoo boys get to court they are usually convicted to serve a time in prison yet the real looters are walking freely throwing wealth around

EFCC has to come out now and prove to the world that they do not have FG interfere in discharging their duties, call back those high profiled cases that have been forgotten and lead perpetrators of......

Self Acclaimed Journalist, Serial Blackmailer Remanded in Prison.

Mr. Chukwudi Samuel popularly known as a photographer who parades self as a journalist, publisher of apexreporter as he fondly introduces self has been remanded in Kirikiri prison for series of alleged blackmail melted out on one Eze Chika Nwokedi and another High Chief Sunny Akpoyibo.

The deformation of character melted out on this personalities is one grievous enough to tarnish the image and reputation of these two.

Absorbed in his own euphoria, Chukwudi Samuel had over time stepped on the toes of many by simply deforming their reputation, commit blackmail for small financial gains, a way of amassing wealth.

A number of times he had accused some persons falsely and led them into prison for a crime they didn't commit but had fallen prey to Chukwudi Samuel's antics of blackmail to extort money, if these terms of extortion isn't met, he will simply work these unfortunate individuals into an allegation that will further foster arrest and remand.

The issue which gave rise to this antecedent dated back to 2018, when HRH Chika Nwokedi contested for governorship position in Imo state, during one of his travels from Lagos to the East, he was accosted by NDLEA upon a tip off from Chukwudi Samuel accusing the defendant of being in possession of hard drugs. After a search and investigation he was found innocent of the allegation, cleared of created falsehood and deformatory antecedents. Chukwudi Samuel also during the years and recently had concocted false stories about the Eze thereby inciting inter tribal unrest between the Oba of Ijegun and the Eze of Ijegun Ijeododo by simply planting hate in the mind of the Oba which had led him to perpetrate some unlikely attitude towards the non tribe in that region.
