Normally the process should be very easy since he can easily trace the account number where the money was wired to.. but the bankers themselves will make it difficult for him( sometimes these fraudsters work with bank officials )..

With BVN they can easily fetch the profile of the account and even trace the individual down to his living room.. (BVN is linked to almost everything here, National I.D, Passport, SIM card etc)

All this requires money and sometimes you may even spend more than you lost to the criminals.. Court affidavit, court order are the first step to start with

See, it happened to one of my friend. But truth is. The bank can only give u details of the transfer. How bank kept saying the beneficiary bank, the beneficiary bank.

So The best thing to do is to get an affidavit to the fraudsters Bank. Or a court order for them to produce the customers, place a lien on the account and report the said case to cbn to hotlist the bvn if matters drag.

as far Nigeria concerned. They might have employed a less qualified peep for the post u interviewed for and den employed the more qualified candidate as his junior officer, so u can do the work while the person rakes the pay.

Hello everyone, please I need your opinion on this issues. I got an employment letter for federal government job I interviewed for last year. During the interview the panel actually told me I am way too qualified for the position they are interviewing me for to which I replied them I will take the offer as long as I can progress and grow through the ranks and they told me that they loved my reply that that was what they were expecting me to say.

Today, I received a mail containing my appointment letter and I see the gave me grade level 3 step 2. Although it is a newly commissioned government agency and I am a university graduate with about 5 years work experience. Now I am confused with the grade level I am being offered.

Secondary, I currently have another appointment letter with a private company lacated in the north east, the salary is good with allowance and the working condition is not so bad, I would have loved to take that offer but the location is not favorable to me as my family is scattered between the north west and south west so going to the north east to work will be a difficult thing for me.

I'll be glad if I could get your opinions on this, I don't know how much the Government job would pay yet.

The architect that got the contract contacted me as an engineer, we went to the site, take the measurement, ready to kick start the work. We've negotiated the price, you know Nigerians most demand for cut, which we agreed certain percentage.

4 days to the date set for the money to be transferred, she stop picking my calls, stop answering my chat on whatsapp.

Before then she'll be calling to ask if I'll be able to fix the equipments, she'll ask me questions like; how are you going to do it, what an what will you need, how many workers will work with you etc.

The guy that connected me with her happens to be a friend. I was updating this guy on every progress. At a point this woman start passing information through this guy to me. I was wandering, why can't she call me direct.

To cut the whole story, The woman went an gather some people including the guy to do the work, after all my efforts.

Ever since I finished my training 3yrs ago, have not gotten some thing to do an this job will have being good break through for me to get my own place. My rent's about to expire, difficult to feed etc.

I've never cry my entire life like this, for the past 5days I've being indoors because no job.

I'm really depressed. I've tried every thing to get it off my mind but no way. Never had this experience.

That issue of asking him for money because you have been the one supporting him was probably presented as a sudden rise of intelligence which he's not been used to from you. You shouldn't have presented it like "I can't afford it, I need your help". It would have been better if you had presented it like "I can afford it but I want ur support so I can remember you and brag of you" Not like a revenge strategy now but like I want your influence and aura in my things. Firstly u need to confirm if he is OK, fine and Alive. If he is alive and fine, not in a hospital, or somewhere he can't readily answer ur text and call i.e prison.

I've been with this guy for close to four years now and its not really been a perfect relationship. Lots of ups and downs due to what I can term insecurity. At some point we're cool and the next minute issues arises just like every other relationship.

He's a good guy to some extent as he showers me with love ( my thoughts)and a lot of times he gives gifts not money though. I've had to give financial assistance to him alot of times, he returns some if he deemed it necessary and doesn't return if he so wishes. I've never complained about this and still always willing to help him out whenever he is in need. Pls note that we're both financially ok.

This gesture of me offering him financial help stopped when I realise he doesn't do same to me. I've had to test him on serval occasions that I needed financial help and he has never for once helped out on those request despite knowing he has. I never needed the money though, I made those request to know if I could actually fall back to him if I'm in need.

Last year October, I told him about my plans of getting a new car as I got tired of the one I was using. Pls note that I did not request him to buy for me neither did I ask for any support whatsoever. I contacted my source in the US with my budget and spec, was able to find one in a short time and I paid for it. All of this moves were known to him. By December, the car arrived and cleared accordingly with every expenses incurred payed by me. He gave some moral support though.

A week after getting the car, he called me one morning and started apologising for not supporting financially in getting the car which I told him I had no issues with that. I told him I wasn't expecting more than moral support from him since I could afford getting the car on my own. I also made him realise he doesn't owe me no apology as I wasn't t his responsibility since we weren't married and that even if we were married, ill always want to get my stuffs myself as long as I can afford it. The next I heard was him ranting on phone that he doesn't expect less from me, said I'm a proud and that he knew I wasn't going to be a good wife. He said he has always known I wasn't going to be a submissive wife and a whole lot of other derogatory words despite not having issues whatsoever prior to that time. I ended the call as I was so surprised he could say those mean words to me.

All through that day he didn't call back and I did not as well cos I was expecting him to realise I was hurt by his actions. A week pass and still no call from him so I decided to call him and he didn't pick. I'd sent a lot of of messages to him and has not replied to any. I'd gone to his house to check up on him and not met him too. Its been three weeks now and we haven't spoken and seen despite all of my effort to talk to him and or see.

Guys please I'm confused and do not know how to handle the issue. Pls advice.

I get the bit that it's for research. But what's the research for?
When u get a que like this. U are suppose to start investigating links, gathering evidence (hard evidence) on the peeps the allegations are been pointed at.
Although, both giving of bribe and accepting of bribe are the same. The judges involved in accepting of such bribes weda anonymous or not, once pointed at, must be investigated silently. Till the evidence are solid enough to nail him.

We all know that Nigeria's Intelligence gathering system is shallow, reason why most of us doubt if the survey was really done or results were just concocted For analysis.
But following leads and not using anonymous statements in Court is something they should be able to do with ease. There most be a money trail to follow, to tie these miscreants that sell court judgement to the highest bidder.

Lastly Icpc should be ashamed of that report getting into public domain, because it would have been best if it was an internal report for internal consumption to be shared with only sister agencies with vested interests in stopping the "buy judgement syndicate" either by Pursuing New leads or following up on those allegations, to get evidence that can be used in court.

Most research is done based on annonimity of the respondents. So, if ICPC wanted to investigate...all they have are statements on paper made by anonymous sources. Hardly the kind of evidence you can take to a judge.

Also, there is the fact that the comments were made in the context of a research work, not a formal investigation.

An example from abroad.In the early 197-0's a woman was murdered in Northern Ireland by a group of IRA terrorists on suspicion of working for the British government as a spy. Some thrity years later, a researcher who was researching the period had an audio confession made by someone involved in the murder. So, was it used to prosecute....no. There was the fact that all terrorists involved had gotten an amnesty a few years earlier...and then there was the fact that the comment was made in the context of a research work, with the promise that it would not be used to incriminate him.

So, unless someone decides to break ranks and go to the ICPC to report about the corruption, with evidence, there is nothing ICPC can do , unless we are thinking they should arrest and torture some lawyers into making confessions...which won't be admissible in court anyway.

I don't know of ur bank. But for an internal issue, they should have blocked the fraudsters account, quick enough to save u something.

The fraudster may have used a small account, opened online without address verification and what have u. This means he can online be reached through mobile number.
But for a serious institution, they can still report this matter to regulators so as to blacklist their BVN. So u know they are working nd not just telling u stories.

Unknown someone keeps sending money to my diamond access bank, this is the second time am recieving money to my account, which is 30,290 & 30,136 naira and the text on the remark is a foreign name.

At first i got alert of 30,260 with remark "Stepan zemalek", at first i thought someone mistakenly sent money to my account, i said lemme wait if i will receive a call from someone claiming the money but nobody called to claim the money, not knowing that my bank have deducted 530 naira for sms fee nd 200 naira for stamp nd postal fee, i have to transfer the money the money to my rubies bank account with the hope somebody will call me nd claim the money.

Secondly, i got another alert of 30,136 with the remark saying "Jaonna LiebeltEtzler/18.9.20".

I dont remember giving anybody my bank details apart from my mom nd uncles, i have called my bank customer care to complain about it and to know who sent the money from my account but he said he cant disclose the information to me. i have complained to the bank and the keep saying their normal bla bla.

I need help on what to do next....below is the screenshot of the alert...
