striktlymi: This sadly is the complete opposite of some arguments presented by some Atheists here in this section. I have seen so many arguments that make no sense in the very least and the sad reality is that the individual Atheist who presented the argument leaves feeling very smart and accomplished...I can't help but wonder how the individual cannot see the big question mark on his or her ability to exert him or herself intellectually.

I have felt the very existence of God in my life, even as a child I had experiences too. If you seek Him you will definitely find Him. Let me share one experience with you. I went through financial constraint while in post secondary school. I resumed school after paying my school fees with the money I had been saving since I graduated from high school. I resumed with a bag, a bucket and just #60 Naira. Several weeks after that, I didn't have kerosene in my stove to cook and I couldn't go on begging from neighbors. I had always had Faith in God's ability so I was forced to put it to work. For complete 10 days I cooked on a stove without kerosene. i just refuse to open it or acknowledge that it was dry, I just lit it and cook the little I had. Until, my brother sent me some money, I went to the market and bought kerosene. I lit the stove and it died within few seconds. My dear, I don't believe in God based on what I was told or what I have heard but What I know. Though I'm not a Catholic, I remember as a child the encounter I had with the Rosary and I may tell you if you want to hear it.
Just ask God to reveal Himself to You, He will. Seek Him and you shall find Him.

I'm irreligious and my family know and I've been subjected to emotional blackmail from my parents ever since with my mum going hysterical, crying for days and my dad telling me he'll forever blame me if she died and whatnot. That level of bigotry from the average ignorant Nigerian is the reason many don't tell their family. I don't shy away from telling the average bigotted idiot on the street, including friends, whether in my school days or in the work place, my beliefs but I understand those who don't do so.

Do you know that the spleen was also considered useless just a few years back? Know this, science is still trying to understand our world fully and right now it doesn't have all the answers. Its not a case of science vs god my friend, you need to understand that.

As for your first sentence, I have no concept of God. I'm still trying to understand some things so you can say I'm still searching. I don't have all the answers but I can say this...there's an intelligent designer, the uncaused causer.

By the way, I understand that your problem with God is the way religionists explain him. You just can't understand why a 'perfect' God would make imperfect creations but I really have no answer for you as regards that.

Stop lying about the atom. If you are in Nigeria you probably first heard about atoms in JSS 2 and no proof was required for you to believe it.

I can't prove QED the existence of God and you cannot prove QED of his non existence but the circumstantial evidence point to an intelligent designer. Think about it.

GooseBaba: Bros! I have to disagree with you on homosexuality as population control. Thank God for science the same homo will donate sperm or eggs and have a surrogate carry it to term. So no control there...science answers a lot of things but its not absolute...

As for seeing before believing, let me ask you... Did you see the atom first before believing that all matter were made of atoms? Have you ever heard of circumstantial evidence? You can choose to believe what you like sha but don't make the mistake of thinking that you are smarter than people who believe otherwise. Your signature here comes to mind.
