China is not 70 years old abeg o. Except for the brief period of the puppet Manchukuo dynasty imposed on Northern China by the Japanese in the early 20th century and the Mongol conquest of China in the 13th/14th centuries China has no colonial history. China has an uninterrupted civilisation dating back approximately 5000 years. The 70 years referred to by the Chinese government is the anniversary of the defeat of Gen. Chiang Kai-Shek's Kuomintang forces by Chaiman Mao's Communist forces in 1949. In other words, China's Communist party is celebrating 70 years of being in power. |
Has anyone actually taken out time to study the documents governing the Livestock and inland waterway policies or are we just following the political bandwagon? Politics the world over has become so toxic these days that it's so difficult to separate the truth from sensational crap. |
Pretty sad one on a Monday morning. However the headline should read "Lagos Regional Office" not head office. Last time I checked the Head Office of Unity Bank was in Abuja. |
A simple Google search will show you that Brazilian Evangelist Edir Macedo is the richest Pastor in the world with a networth of about $1.1 billion which translates to close to 500 billion naira. Can't understand why we have become this lazy that a simple Google search is now so difficult. |
Whoever took the picture has absolutely no shame and certainly no conscience. You take a picture of someone in a private room and paste it all over the internet without her consent just to secure cheap popularity!!! Gosh, this internet generation just disgusts me. |
Seems like you haven't heard of "combined honours". My dad graduated with a 1st Class in English & French Linguistics from University of Ibadan in the 60s. Graduating with 2 degrees in 4 years ain't new. |
You obviously have no idea what they went through to get to where they are. My dad got his Phd in 1973 yet when I entered university in 1998 his salary was still N7770 a month. Another friend of mine whose father was also a Professor told me they had to survive on beans and honey they got from the bees in the roof of their boys' quarters. Gen. Abdulsalami started the salary increase but things got really better under Obasanjo. When you paint a rosy picture of lecturing please don't forget to state the difficulties they went through to get to where they are. The slogan of ASUU then was "my take home pay cannot take me home". |
It's a Corolla not a Camry. Please correct your heading. |
This story was culled from The BBC but I can't see where they are mentioned. Please give credit to whom credit is due. |
Pretty impressive result. Kindly remove the word "more" before the word better in your sentence and you'll be just fine. |
When a people decide to celebrate those who mortgaged their future and demonize those who are at least trying to create a future for them you really have to wonder at their sanity. |
I've always felt that compared to other brands such as Honda and Audi, Toyota cars are quite bland. |
If you take out time to peruse the rules and regulations pertaining to habitation of hostels in pretty much all Federal Universities you'll discover that the use of "electric plates" and "boiling rings" have always been banned. It's nothing new. |
darknetcom:And the phone on which you typed this crap was likely produced by a white skinned fellow. Same with all your electronics and other things which make life so much easier. Kindly get a life. |
Please check your facts, Bill Gates is the richest man in the world with a net worth of about $76bn. Amancio Ortega comes next with about $67bn. |
"High browse area" Have they taken English Language off our curriculum? |
Please women should learn how to cook and stop making up excuses. If a lot of us men took our time to learn how to cook then women have absolutely no excuse. |
vickydevoka:Wow, Babawo is a lecturer?! That's fantastic, in primary school no one could have guessed that he will ever lecture cos he spent most of his time playing football. His father was one of the big Alhajis in Angwan Rogo back then. |
Mmm, Babawo the guy who sponsored Mikel's trip abroad. Still remember how he used to burst all our footballs with his shot in University Primary School, Jos way back when. |
Your headline is misleading and I have a feeling you are very much aware of this. Your headline says Jos which everyone knows is in Plateau State while the body of the article says Mararaban Jos, Kaduna State. |
I guess that is to be expected when one in every six Africans is a Nigerian. |
richidinho:"piss"?!! chai, what is wrong with our educational system. |
Why should they be recognized when all they do is spread lies, rumours, falsehood and unverified news. Even when they report accurate news it is copy and paste. The "r" word that suits bloggers is regulated not recognized. |
The current estimate of King Solomon's wealth is probably close to 200 billion Dollars. Try beating Dangote first. |
ImperialYoruba:She's not even the richests black woman in Africa. That distinction belongs to the daughter of the President of Angola. |
gurunlocker:I'm still trying to figure out whether you are just foolish, plain stupid or both. The guy made an honest comment and yet you chose to insult him. Please take your hatred for Buhari and stuff it in that hole behind you. |
Don't mind the fool. Those liberal idiots managed to convince him that a sexual relationship between a man and another man is perfectly normal. |
Ford Expenditure?!!! Kindly read the tag properly. It is called Ford Expedition. |
kennygee:The Republicans control the Senate, the House of Representatives and will soon have the Supreme Court firmly in their hands. Put quite simply for at least the first two years of his presidency Trump is going to be the most powerful American President in over seventy years. |
From Radi8 to Sabinews. TK and Peju, a business partnership that truly works. |
If I recall correctly she is Africa's second richest woman. The daughter of the President of Angola is Africa's richest woman. |
