Whether the narration is true or false is not the issue! What OP encountered is presently happening in Nigeria esp states that are metropolitan! |
Who is happy with the carnage going on in the country? |
blackpanda:This is hilarious ![]() Are you for real or are you just trying hard to reply for the sake of it? Everyone knows that Twitter doesn't even have a physical presence in Nigeria! Its recent base is even at Ghana! Did twitter or its owner cajole you or anyone to sign up for the social media platform? Like I said,no one forced you to sign up on twitter! You did so based on choice! Not on mandatory basis just like everyone including the president...in other words, you or any individual can opt out at any time! If you hate or dislike the platform, you can always deactivate your account like the AGF did recently! |
blackpanda:Really? But no one mandated or forced you or anyone or country to sign up for twitter or any social media platform! You did so on your own volition! |
It seems people here are forgetting how GEJ was abused due to the insecurity esp in the north in 2014 and 2015 and he never blamed the governors because everyone knew that the security system in the states are under his control and command according to the 1999 constitution! Nothing has changed because we are still running a unitary security system! So i dont understand why the president who had criticized the former president about the insecurity then is now blaming governors! |
4ckyou:He just used politics to deceive you by passing the blame to the governors when he knows fully well that he is the one who controls and command the security system in the country based on the constitution! While he was campaigning in 2014 and 2015,did PMB not blame the then president GEJ for the insecurity in the country then? |
Adaorababy:The constitution states clearly that the security of the entire nation is under the command and control of the C in C |
Sipsum:Oga it seems you are just entering Nigeria for the first time! The state governor being chief security of the state is a title with no power attached....in other words, the constitution doesn't recognise the state governor as a chief security officer of the state! The security of any state in nigeria is under the control and command of the C in C through the IGP and the same IGP controls all the police commissions in the state! This is why there has been an increased clamour for state policing! We still operate a unitary system of security where the IGP can decide which state to enforce security measures...this is why the people of Benue state are suffering! Forget security votes....all governors have used it to singlehandedly sponsor the purchase of equipments for the police yet the CP doesn't take orders from the governor unless the IGP that sits in abuja says so! Even the regional amotekun setup by the SW governors are not active without weapons hence they will have to keep depending on a police force that receive their others from aso rock....well that's if the governor is in the good books of the president and from the ruling party! Decentralize the police force and watch the insecurity reduce to its nearest minimum...someone in the executive is enjoying the insecurity happening in the entire nation! |
plaindealer:I am neither a supporter of PDP nor APC but your submissions that PDP or GEJ never commissioned a single project in SE is totally false! GEJ commissioned the Phase I 504MW (Simple Cycle Gas) Alaoji Power Plant at Umuobasi-Ukwu, Abia State. www dot nigeriaelectricityhub.com/2015/03/24/jonathan-commissions-504mw-alaoji-power-plant-in-abia/ Next time do a proper research on google before opening your mouth to say what you don't know!
|
rashcity:Who sponsored the killings that happened recently at kebbi and an LGA at Benue? Even if killings were sponsored, what has the security operatives that are under the command of the president done? |
kingwonder:What's the use of infrastructures when the security system in the country has collapsed? Helicopters from the Nigerian air force still escort some of the trains from abuja to Kaduna due to the presence of armed bandits and kidnappers! Despite these infrastructures, only those who can afford the high transport fares will likely use the train! |
wwwihy:U are indirectly mocking APC and praising PDP during the time of GEJ! ![]() |
Frontail:Isn't it interesting that PMB was holding a smart phone made by a foreigner from another country while GEJ was proudly exhibiting a homemade bread made from cassava by a local manufacturer! No wonder the value of the naira keeps plunging under this administration! ![]() |
OkCornel:Exactly! Even when paul heard that there were some who were some ministers who were into the gospel for financial gains,he still didn't criticize them but was rather interested in the progress of the gospel in spite of their intentions! Philippians 1:15-18 |

Still remember some years ago in Phcity how a friend of mine and two offshore workers who were dropped by their staff bus on the !st of January were gruesomely murdered by the police and labelled the next morning before the media as militants who invaded the Borikiri Police station and killed some of their policemen! It was when the boss responsible for the offshore workers angrily stormed the station and proved those men were actually his workers, thats was when the police knew they had killed the wrong people including my friend! That guy should go and thank God! Our security operatives esp the police are terrible though not all! |
Ihatemen:.....and how does your hate for men have any logical link to the thread? ![]()
|
dederocs:i concur! |
princeade86:Yes he is,at times, but one thing I have discovered is that if you are governing a state like rivers where there are too many 'stubborn heads' to contend with, then you need to have balls made of steel! |
Simple! But must the sit at home declaration be mandatory for all? Is this how the Biafra will be ruled when it becomes a nation? No one is saying individuals who lost their loved ones during that civil war can't mark that day as a special rembrance day but forcing it on others is not ideal and will always be resisted! |
Clear your surroundings! You can pour used diesel or grind cola nut and spread around your surroundings! |
Ekaka1:Una no get wahala! Congrats to your club ![]() |
Fans and the media kept praising Pep for not using a recognized forward all thought the season! Today, that formation was seriously exposed and before pep would reshuffle, chelsea were already in charge and had something to defend! The stats says it all! Pep benched his recognized strikers in Jesus and Aguero while playing sterling as a striker in a win or bust one off final making the job of rudiger to be less stressful! Infact Pep's formation and players selection proved that he underestimated the capability of his opponents! Just a shot on goal by mancity! This was a glorious chance for mancity to win....They may never have a better chance than this! Before chelsea fans start attacking me,just know that i am a liverpool fan! ![]() |
uunwanaobong3:Keep churning out irrelevant history while your overhyped clubs keeps fumbling in europe! ![]() |
Manchester United just passed their losing genes to their noisy neighbours manchester city! Amazing! ![]()
|
Twelfthman:There will always be an increase in the ritual killings not just in Phcity but other southern states as long as the current system of security exists! The police force from abuja has channeled most of their resources on unknown gun men attacking their stations.....Until there is a decentralization in the current unitary system of security, we won't see a reduction of these ritual killings or kidnapping! |

Liverpool Football Club have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig. The 22-year-old defender has agreed a long-term contract with the Reds from July 1, subject to international clearance and a successful work permit application process, after finalising terms and passing a medical. Konate told Liverpoolfc.com: “I’m really happy to be joining such a massive club like Liverpool. “It’s a really exciting moment for me and my family and I am really looking forward to meeting my new teammates, the staff and getting started on this new chapter. “Right now, my focus is on the U21 European Championships with France, but after this competition I know I will be joining one of the best teams in the world and that gives me a great feeling. “I have worked very hard for many years to get to this point, but I would like to say a big thank you to everyone at RB Leipzig and all the people I worked with there – the coaches, my teammates, the staff and especially the fans. “Your support helped me grow up during my time there and become not only a better player, but a better man and I will always be grateful for it.” Jürgen Klopp reaction: Ibrahima Konate will add quality and potential to our squad Konate will move to Anfield after four seasons in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, where he made 95 appearances and scored four goals. He also clocked up eight runouts in the Champions League with the German club. Prior to switching to Die Roten Bullen, the centre-back made his breakthrough into senior football at Sochaux after graduating through their academy. Konate is currently with France’s U21 squad for the UEFA European Championships. To date, he has 12 caps for his country at that level. His squad number at Liverpool will be confirmed in due course.
