When I said Politics and Economics are two very different concepts, Agbadorians surrounded me... Now shebi e don dey cast? @least Buhari had the sense to use arbitrary methods to block the impact of Market forces, so things would not go out of control. The political luggage of "Basically when you rob from several Tom's, you have to pay several Harry's to cover up your robbery" which will become very expensive eventually. The funny thing is, this is just the beginning... inflation, low production rates, market forces and the national fx supply situation will push the rate above 1000Naira very soon. And when that happens, returning back to normal will require a miracle. This shege everybody will enjoy it together. |
HopeSpencer:I am a core Northerner for your information... And what is going on in Niger directly affects us in the North... as far as Nigerians are concerned, your micro aggression up here does not change the fact that who "you think" is in power(For now), is thoroughly incompetent. P.S I hope you are part of the 50,000 youths who will join ECOMOG. |
Fiscus105:When a people fight for freedom, anyone not called "brother" is the enemy |
raskymonojendor:The issue is: Niger was suffering right from the get go... I was shocked to even recently discover that those guys are the number one exporters of Uranium to France. Yet, they remain as poor as ever. They simply revolted because their Government was just fattening France, while the masses suffered... in such situations, if a coup did not even occur, then a revolution would have been around the corner regardless. The first response Nigeria gave after the coup, were sanctions, an ultimatum and a military threat... How can you use extreme force on one hand and send General Abdulsalam on the other hand... is that how international relations works? Especially in a situation when a people are literally struggling for colonial liberation. |
Acekidc4:I really dislike comments like this, it proves you have no idea of the state of things... Lemme throw you a question, if the sanctions hit Niger as hard as you are illustrating, who get's hit, is it not the people of Niger? and if the situation becomes unbearable in Niger the resulting humanitarian crisis will be handled by which country, is it not Nigeria that would have to deal with the refugee's from Niger? just assuming there is an influx of 8 million people from Niger through the very porous northern borders, to add to the insecurity, and hardship currently in Nigeria... who will handle the situation? How many Nigerian families eat three square meals of late? I will like to remind you that currently, Nigeria is in a very bad economic situation, and a humanitarian crisis from the North as a result of sanctions and military activity is something Nigeria should not even risk. Infact to even let you know something vital, the people of Niger are actually struggling for their liberation from France... the same France that B.A.T is currently flirting with. This is a situation that Nigeria should have immediately stepped in as a big brother and played high level diplomacy, using hausa elder statesmen and traditional rulers from the onset, not by using military threats and force. War experiments at this time is something Nigeria can not afford on various levels This |
Ikaeniyan0:Unfortunately Gbajabiamila won't be in power that long |
MASTAkiLLAh:True, but it's quite obvious he isn't a strategic thinker. His hasty decision making so far clearly shows it. I can point out many ways B.A.T has screwed up with how he handled this Niger matter, however like you said how can you blame him? First of all his personal alliance with France has already made him totally distasteful to French speaking Africa as a whole (who are trying to rid themselves of France). But how can you blame a person who used dubious methods from having dubious connections? B.A.T is a wrong person at the right place at the wrong time... but how do we blame him? |
In Lagos ![]() |
Ttalk:The woman stated this in a recent interview; "this current administration has the potential to totally crash Nigeria's economy due to ill guided decisions" She is trying to salvage the situation because she truly loves Nigeria, otherwise APC will damage Nigeria to a point of no redemption. |
Show me a society that has high wayward tendencies and I will tell you about a society where the youth lacked father figures in the families |
This is what you get when incompetence is in control |
Two Questions; 1: Is the phone a second hand phone (or does anyone have your imei number) 2: Is the SIM card yours I.e registered under your name |
Are you single? If yes, proceed to the next question If the answer to the above question is yes, the follow up is Are you below thirty? If yes, proceed to the next question Are you physically ok with doing blue collar jobs for a period of time? If you answered YES to all three questions; Then move along with the UK idea... go to the UK by all means. If you answered no to any of the questions then please take the job for now. The experience from the job will build up to match other work residency/visa requirements if "japa" is on your mind. at the end of the day it's on you... |
Emeka has done it again! ![]() |
Ayoola171:Allow them... they are struggling for their liberation from France, like most French speaking African countries. At this time, Nigeria should have shown immense support for them in this struggle and even showed them diplomatic options to pull this off with a pledge to hand over to a democratic system, however B.A.T the "president" has made things worse, coupled with the fact that he is known to flirt with France and Macron... infact Nigeria is not even trusted at the moment. If you follow current media reports, you would observe that most French speaking West African countries have rhetorically labelled Nigeria as the "Traitor". |
Ikaeniyan0:B.A.T is the number 1 public official of Nigeria as a sitting president. So he automatically falls under one of the 12 statutory exemptions of the 1974 privacy act of 1974. https://www.justice.gov/opcl/privacy-act-1974#:~:text=The%20Privacy%20Act%20prohibits%20the,one%20of%20twelve%20statutory%20exceptions. Look B.A.T will be exposed very soon, he can't keep this up for long. |
Saifullah01:Many decisions B.A.T has made of recent has shown he is not a critical thinker... From "fuel Subsidy is gone!" to Emefiele's arrest and now the military force threat to Niger without even properly analysing the situation... Nigerians are in for a loooooong ride |
Tchai! When Oparanozie missed I stopped watching |
First miss England Okparanozie misses |
PK time... If the falcons an convert their spot kicks... Then Relax... Chiamaka Nnadozie is there |
9ja na anyhow country... Hushpuppi will come back from serving his sentence and will easily run for either a reps or senate position. |
England reminding the falcons they are still in this game |
Jaybee3456:At the moment I don't think there is a player who wants to take up the responsibility of scoring in open play |
Even if this match enters penalties... Chiamaka Nnadozie is in beast mode at the moment. All her players need to do is score. My best player so far in this game is Asleigh Plumptre |
Half time in et 0-0 |
To be honest Oshoala is really dulling this game... Alozie missing a nice chance |
Goke7:Brother football these days is about exploiting space... It will be obvious that there is a player lacking for England when the game is spread out. |
Regulation time finishes on 0-0 |
England have been handicapped |
Lauren James red carded |
Bulldozer90:I think her physicality is needed |
This girls are balling o! Payne is giving England pain |
