Mr Peterside, We appreciate your selfless deeds to ensure a transparent process during the elections, however we understand that the right procedures are not appreciated in Nigeria. If you are not ready to play dirty and adopt corrupt strategies, it's best to stay abroad. Corruption and malpractices are indeed celebrated traits in Nigeria. It's unfortunate, but that's how Naija rolls. Las Las na to join APC run your own package. |
Mr. Yakubu... |
Not finished... He made himself the minister of Petroleum, but oil theft was at a record high in his administration, Dieziani Madueke even needs an apology if oil thefts are to be compared. Security was at an all time low, despite him saying he had Security experience. Terrorists in the North were financially empowered in his administration. He addressed the nation with no empathy... till today, the end SARS debacle was not addressed by Buhari...the man was wicked mheeeen. |
As long as the sphere of leadership is not reorganised, that advice will not hold water. Simply watch the selection of ministers in this "APC continuation" and it will be clear that it is still business as usual- Square pegs will still be shoved into triangular or circular holes. A typical example will be MC Oluomo; watch his inevitable national appointment intently. At the moment, it is still open season for looters, & corrupt players. If you have people in the loop, then that's fine you will benefit from spillovers. But if you believe in hardwork & merit, then Naija is not for you... @least not now. |
femisplash:Bros permit me to quiz your intellectual state for a bit; please can you give an approximated statistical demographic of Igbo Muslims in Anambra state & compare that with Borno state... Or simply putting the question; What are you most likely going to find; 1- A Hausa Christian in Borno state Or 2- An Igbo Muslim in Anambra state |
Goodlady:You are putting the last hope on APC ... My prayer for you is that your Japa plans work out so that by the time APC burns out your last hope, you are already abroad. |
Naija is completely scattered. .. |
Caramia2020:Oga it's bad... especially for a young couple. It means in a year, they knack between 24 & 36 times. |
I tire for Naija |
fuckJones:Oga mi, When was the constitution (that kicks against double nomination) Amended? To be honest supporting APC is a very, very difficult affair. |
In normal climes, the INEC chairman should have been thrown in jail point blank the end. But yet in Nigeria, there are people who think INEC & Mr Yakubu did well in these elections... on top 400Billion. |
iammo:Bro, I understand you either love Tinubu very much or you love APC very much, which is ok... but for the sake of common reason, this is really ridiculous. Like did you read what you even wrote? Even if you were told this, can't you independently think? It's better if you had simply said it's not true, but going ahead to quote this... mheeeen I wonder if someone is home. Truly, defending Tinubu makes people look and sound retarrded. On the part they wrote citizenship on the passport is it Nigerian or Guinean written? Don't you know there are laws that surround citizenships and passport holders?
|
Agbadocassava:There, I corrected your post. And I think the majority agrees with that correction- So yes, technically you are right. |
I expect a massive immigration pattern amongst the educated Nigerian demographic because they know better than to expect the best from APC. |
Naija na one chance mheeeen... |
This is why a live broadcast of this thing is necessary |
How? As in How? How can a whole INEC be sounding like foreign observers from France?? In sane climes, Mr Yakubu and certain INEC officials should be slammed behind bars for at least 15 years. When I said this whole thing was more than the Tinubu, Atiku or Obi case, people said I was blabbing. Once again, the entire electoral system is tattooed with acute criminality. The very mechanism of selecting leaders in Nigeria is absolutely broken. If with 400Billion NGN... I repeat, 400Billion NGN, INEC could not organise a straight-forward process, what is the use of even maintaining and relying on such a body? How will they even establish order in the political ecosystem? At this stage, Even a cow can see that INEC is completely compromised, infact the institution needs to be disbanded and completely overhauled. I recommend that a new electoral body needs to be created from scratch with Japanese or South Korean people as staff- infact no Nigerian person should be employed in the new electoral establishment, until after decades when the Japanese or South Korean's have dictated proper working practices and procedures. This excuse INEC gave is like saying; "A Nanny gave a 1year old child a full glass of whisky to drink because he saw the child crawling towards a bottle" The more they blame parties for their errors, the more dubious and irresponsible they sound. What a complete National disaster. |
J.Felix needs to request a DNA sample from Kaka |
pansophist:May you be blessed in all that you do for saying this truth... I remember someone who did this in Germany years ago.(come in to hussle with a visit visa). He and suffer were pals literally, but when he was taking pictures in the snow, people thought he was "living la vida gloria". He is fine now though... but after losing four fingers due to a blue collar job accident(that could have been avoided assuming he got in the country properly) |
The two important things to note; 1- Outright Rigging (Courtesy Mr Yak) 2- Voter suppression (Courtesy systemic national thuggery & systemic tribal bias) |

I will address your points sir, tribunal case is not held in secretIt's not in secret, but it's discreet... the press have boundaries. You can't tell me you haven't been getting information about what have been going on at the tribunalThe tribunal proceedings is currently behind shut doors, once again the press have limits. If every element of the proceedings was being disclosed, then there would not be a need for a live recording request. We only know what we are briefed by the legal counsel of the petitioners. The Tribunal was not televise live when Obi got justice in Anambra State. This is a presidential election tribunal not a gubernatorial election, given the historic level of national participation, it deserves a hearing unique to it's national merit. There's no need for it to be televise liveThere is a need because some of us are very keen on following every step of the proceedings. Broadcasting it live does not matter if there will be transparency. The Tribunal that removed Ngige as the Governor of Anambra State and made Obi the Governor of Anambra State was not televise liveOnce again Gubernatorial and presidential dealings are two different levels of sensitivity, unless you beg to differ, and in that case you are entitled to your opinion. So your argument does not hold water.I understand you may not be interested or casual about the transparency of the process, but some of us are very interested. Just to remind you that the role of a citizen is also to be involved with national proceedings as significant as this. It's 2023, what better way to engage the civil landscape than a transparent application of democracy. You may like onions and be ok with it, but that doesn't mean every human should like onions and be ok with it. Nigeria is a country of over 200million people and a significant percentage of that population are keen on live proceedings of the tribunal aired, should the significant population be ignored? Absolutely not, and that sir is the definition of Democracy. |
Parachoko:Brother, Are you not tired of the fact that decisions of National interest are concluded in secret? Is transparency not a critical aspect of nation building? We were taught about national transparency in social studies however when it comes to application, our systems become like a Ninja clan. For once let citizens see the credibility of the Judiciary |
Good choice! Why? Because the Nigerian Super Eagles team is very star studded at the moment... so star studded that even a player like Gift Orban with all his heat, is on the bench. The competition in the SE team is just too high currently, infact I don't even recommend the SE team for Balogun. The English National team has the same case, Tammy Abraham till today can not even sniff the bench. The competition is just very high... so high that even if Haaland was English (of which he is by birth), he would struggle for the number 9 shirt on a regular. Only the US national team can give him a break to debut easily since the competitionis not that high, because at the moment with Nigeria and England... he has to earn the right to play & with the current crop of young players who are all within his age bracket and all hungry to play... e no go easy. |

garfield1:So the Supreme Court after an Elections petition tribunal in 2008, only talked about AND? So the Supreme Court ended an elections dispute by only talking about AND without a ruling? Then how was the judgment given? This is where I will end this discussion. I sincerely thought we would be making application of common sense. |
PoliteActivist:It happened in 2008, the SC gave an interpretation and ruling on the 25% of FCT. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-nigeria-president-idUSTRE4BB00720081212 So let's apply common sense now, what would it imply in this matter? |
PoliteActivist:But you do remember this same SC had given a constitutional interpretation on this same matter previously? So assuming we applied common sense to this matter what does it imply? |
madridguy:Where was Labour Party before Obi? Did you even know Labour Party as a political party before Obi? Did you not remember it was this same Labour Party that people said would not win even a ward for Councillor? The Party was intensely rebuilt within a short period, which required immense hard work & effort before the Elections, then along comes a chimney sweep to start claiming rights @ a critical period... Go and deeply meditate. It doesn't work that way sir. |
PoliteActivist:So what you mean, is that the Electoral act is based on common sense rather than the constitution? OR what you are trying to say is the Electoral act is based on the constitution AND common sense? ![]() Because you are trying to mean either of the two, Unless you mean the constitution and common sense are the same and can substitute for each other. You are welcome. |
akingangan:But wait o.... if Labour Party no longer shares his views, why can't he join another party that shares his views like APC? Why struggle for something that has clearly evolved beyond his understanding? It's a free world na. |
