Seunfretty: My take from the match
1) Nigeria doesn't have a sound coach yet ....paseiro isn't really the standard we should be coughing hard currency on...
2) We need to start working with home grown players.....a team i see today is a team that doesn't really understand each other ...the quality is fine but the connection isn't there...and again where is the fight..we were leading 1-0 and we started smoothering the ball aimlessly
3) Is Osimhen really as good as the media and Napoli makes him look ..a player that isnt good in possession ....can interchange play well ..can't link up perfectly and today he even wasted chances ..with his leg is he really that potent ...Omo am NT sure o...if he goals to a top team i fear for him...his best bet is to stay in Napoli
4) Coaching a national team and building a strong football philosophy to worsen it in an African country where a standard pattern of play is already registered in every young player is not really easy...this players only come to play together ones in 3 months...how will they get to know each other's strength and where to put the ball. ...how will they form an attacking chemistry....that's why I said if i should have my way i will revert back to using home based players more ..then bring a teacher coach to build a team ..
This guy's don't event have a fight in them ...seeing there body language shows if they had lost again today they wouldn't have been moved...this isn't the super eagles who grew up watching Bro, In Europe currently, Oshimen is literally the next big thing after Haaland. The issue with the SE team is very clear, the coach is still running tactical experiments. If a team is still struggling to score with the second best striker in the world, then the coach is tactically deficient. First of all I wonder the kind of Midfielders currently in that team? Oshimen was closely marked by a CB and a defensive Midfielder(2players) which left a good operating hole in the middle, however Alex Iwobi kept drifting left because for some reason he seemed comfortable operating from the left to come midfield. I thought Joe Aribo would plug the hole, but that guy seems determined to become a striker so he kept bottling some good passing opportunities. This coach really doesn't know his players yet |

They wrote that I abandoned my application because I departed, and my extension was denied. I spent the usual 6 months giving at the port of entry. However, I overstayed for about 50 days. Britishpea: What the poster wrote are all jargons.
Did he know what the legal teams of Tinubu were thinking or filing in defense? He kept seeing Obi as someone who came from Jupiter.
All the drug case brouhaha had been long foreseen by Tinubu’s camp and they knew that either Obi or Atiku was going to file it. This is why Tinubu hasn’t addressed it. Catch your enemy by surprise. Tinubu had gotten mandates for about 5 governors in Nigeria including an opposition governor to his party. He knows about the court processes more than Obi.
The same Obi is making the prayer to be ambiguous yet you claimed he knew what he’s doing. Asking the court to declare him as the winner and at the same time asking the court to cancel the whole election.
Where is the sense. You keep hyping Obi who’s confused already. His only case here is that of Shettima which both Shettima and Tinubu didn’t disclose to anyone yet if Shettima resigned from being a senator before he accepted the VP SLOT.
However, both Goodluck Jonathan, Namadi Sambo and Atiku became Vps in this country while they were governors without first resigning.
Courts give judgement based on histories, evidences and witnesses not because they love your face. Bros, Go and ask a legal practitioner to explain what these prayers at the tribunal would entail for Tinubu. There are some hearings at Tribunal's that require testimonies, not just physical evidence. Obi's counsel is smart... if you think well, one thing B.A.T avoided during the whole election season was "one on one debates", this Tribunal may expose what he had been hiding all this while because he will be grilled by lawyers. Secondly Foreign testifiers will be present (due to this drug matter), I assure you there will be drama during the hearing because unexpected people will be invited and if any gaffe is made by B.A.T, you very well know it will be expressly linked to the aftermath of Narcotic usage. So I doubt this is even about B.A.T's drug crimes, rather It's about his obvious state of mental and physical health that has been indirectly challenged in public. Medical records will start rolling out because in this case, it will be evidence. Have you seen the direction this thing is now going? Lastly INEC has also been locked in indirectly. I am very curious to see how this all plays out in court... this is going to be like a sitcom with multiple episodes. Grab popcorn sir, history is about to be made |

TOPMAN4LIFE: I used to support Igbo people before, I changed when I noticed their tribal sentiments during the last election, Igbo people hatred Tinubu and Yorubas are too much, but they like to promote theirs as the best. When they noticed Obi lost election, many of them are saying if Obi can't win atiku should win, They also started mocking Yorubas that Lagos is no man's land because Tinubu lost Lagos whereas many Yoruba voted for Obi because of Muslim/Muslim ticket of APC. They also started to project chinedu that hates Yorubas as their candidate in Lagos. At that point I understand the kind of politics they playing which they don't allow in their place. They have already push Yorubas to the wall, and when you are pushed to the wall, you turned against the person that is pushing u. That's what happened on Saturday, Saturday election is not just an election but a show of strength to Igbo people claiming Lagos is no man's land, Igbo people started this attack, hausas are also in Lagos but they don't meddle in the local politics rather they travel home to elect their leaders, But for Ibo people to open their mouth and say derogatory words against their peaceful host, they called for problem. Yorubas don't meddle in their politics in Igbo land Brother, it was not a show of strength it was outright Xenophobia that was politically driven. Everybody knows Lagos is culturally Yoruba that is why we have an Oba there, was there a need to attack fellow-Nigerians to prove a point? Even if an attack was necessary did it have to be during elections? This is exactly what happens in South Africa when the natives claim to "show strength" to other African's in the name of attacks, as if everyone doesn't know South Africa belongs to them. Brother it was a simple thing that happened Lagosians were used as pawns to achieve selfish political goals. Otherwise there is no explanation for one set of Nigerians to rise against another because of a "show strength" Lemme explain further if you have a stubborn blood brother who lives in your house, do you beat him and send him packing because you argued about different views in football for example... does it make sense. I do not support this sort of open tribalism and Xenophobia, it is not the Yoruba or Nigerian way. |

TOPMAN4LIFE: You ipob people don't respect your host and abide with their rules. It's the same mentality you carried to South Africa and Ghana that made the Host to be attacking you . Bcoz Yorubas make their place conducive for you, you are now saying their land is no man's land . Can you try such in Kano state and the hausa and Fulani will not kill you all . Yorubas have never come to your land and be dictating how you should lead your people . If you come to Lagos for business, if you want to do politics go back to your origin, otherwise Lagos will be hostile all of you . FYI I am partly Yoruba, but most of all being Nigerian surpasses the label of tribe, I share in the Xenophobic persecution of my fellow Igbo Nigerians ... thanks for justifying my stance on Xenophobia slowly taking over. Your comment is full proof to that. However this hatred you are exhibiting is not the Yoruba-Nigerian way. If Yoruba's in Togo or Benin Republic acted this way, it would have been understandable. I am truly ashamed it has now come to the point we fight ourselves just because of tribe. I refuse to be part of this Xenophobia sir. |
Politics › Re: INEC Declares Sanwo-Olu Winner In Lagos by optimusprime2(m): 4:16am On Mar 20, 2023 |
APC carried the entire Lagos on a Xenophobic ride and it was indeed a sad moment in Nigeria's history.
There was no difference between what happens in South Africa and what happened in Lagos this time.
It's even ironic to think that the main inciters of this Xenophobic journey don't even have their families in Nigeria, in the case of a situation where things get crazy, they will be the first to flee, leaving ordinary folk to handle the mess they created.
Unity was attacked and Xenophobia is indeed being celebrated. |

In terms of residency which is more easier? As for pay scale between the two countries, it depends, on paper the US is stated as having the higher pay scale and pays more essentially, but certain skill levels and vocations in certain sectors pay more in Canada due to critical demand. So It depends on your discipline. As for Residency obviously Canada wins flat out on this regard... This is one of the solid pros Canada has over the US. |

It depends... It's like asking you which leg do you start with when you are about to walk.
Both countries have their pros and cons and the funny thing is those pros and cons still depend on the individual situation.
Bottom line, I can't outrightly say "Canada is better than the US or Otherwise" because it depends on a lot of things.
I will give you an example, the US labour market generally pays more than the Canadian labour market however things like paid sick days, vacation days, maternity leave are not really engrained in the US labour market it's very employer specific, however in Canada it's a right regardless of your employer. |
Travel › Re: Is It Advisable To Japa Now? by optimusprime2(m): 6:42am On Mar 19, 2023*. Modified: 10:24am On Mar 19, 2023 |
Your profile no longer favours a total japa situation... Major reason; You are a single mother of 2 sub eleven year olds. If you had a partner, the situation would have been a little more ideal as there would be wiggle room to save finances and grow professionally.
Should I Explain Why?
One Major challenge in the UK is childcare. And it doesn't help matters if you are a single parent with two kids under the age of 10 years old, because that will severely impact how you should hussle or work (you need to be back by certain times from work as you can't leave minors unattended to), which would also impact the kind of house you would need to rent (housing costs based on your earnings), and the area in the UK you would need to live (proximity to schools for your children).
To be sane in the UK, you need to work and when I mean work, I mean mind busting work, no day should be wasted slouching. Because bills, rent and taxes need to be paid, while keeping up with professional and career development which also cost time and money. Basically the more you combine jobs, the better for you. However, two kids in the picture will totally break your stride and create an extra ton of costs. Doing it as a single parent, makes it even crazier.
However, if you have family in the UK "who are willing to help", basically you could drop the kids over during weekends while you bust your weekend grind, be it studying pro courses/certifications or an extra hussle, or they can help pickup the kids from school every weekday while you run your 9-5, leaving you to pick them to your home conveniently when you are done. Either ways it's still going to be a very difficult routine- infact typing this, is making me sweat for you already (Keeping in mind you are 95% going to begin with a care job, based on your stated skills and experience in tech).
And lastly when you factor in your "self life"... the dating scene in the UK will relegate you to the "single mom category" which is literally the far end of the pool regardless of your age and trust me that category has a knack for attracting classic nutters, especially if you choose to be open to "diversity".
Bottom line, If you earn approximately 2000£ per month in Nigeria in your current situation, then I suggest you suspended this Japa idea for now till your kids are grown, then perhaps, you could sponsor them to secondary school in the UK (which would still require you to have a steady stream of income).
Also, the dating scene in Nigeria is more sane for your profile, you are more likely to get a reasonable package.
So please Japa does not ideally fit your profile, unless you really want to throw things up in the air and see how they fall.
Why not just visit the UK with the kids for now to build travel experience and save Japa plans for the future? |
