murphyibiam15:But I suggest you wait |
Those GE peeps... if you don't have a foreign degree you stand a very sliiiiiim chance. |
murphyibiam15:Yes, that's possible. |
murphyibiam15:Well, you just have to wait. Next time research properly, because you could have used a German visa for this, especially since Germany processes faster. |
murphyibiam15:That's the point, there's nothing you can do. Praying for an exception is the best you can do. What were you expecting... Like, write a letter to the Belgian government to speed up your application? Or calling their ministry of immigration to ask them to speed up? Going to the embassy to tell them to call the home department at Brussels to approve your visa quickly? Or what? All I can tell you on this regard is that Belgian bureaucratic procedures are very slow affairs, you just have to be extremely patient with them. If you wanted a Schengen visa ASAP why didn't you apply for a German visit visa? |
murphyibiam15:Pray |
SNRGY:Argentina have their history of racism, that's true, but they are very comfortable with immigration as compared to Europe. The op stated he needed a place to migrate to and work for 10 years. The only Issue with Argentina is language as they have a very unique version of Spanish, if that barrier is broken- there is an unending number of opportunities for an economic migrant. By the way if you have Argentina's passport which is on the easy side to get, did you know one has Schengen Access? Malta may speak English, have a high employment rate, but it's "only" for their citizens, or more yet "EU" resident's. It is easier for a Camel to pass through a needles eye than for a non EEA nationale to get a job in Malta esp from his country. In fact Island countries have a way of acting with employment regardless of employment statistics, they only reserve certain blue collar jobs for non nationals, but there is already a reservoir of immigrants that crossed the Mediterranean via boats who wait for such reserves. Just to let you know, the Era of immigration for greener pastures to Europe is over in general, as the whole EU is clamping down and frowns on immigration due to the excess number of Syrians and Africans scattered all over Europe (we have Merkel to thank for that), so Europe is not favorable to any sort of legal immigration except you choose to overstay a visit visa illegally of which is just absolutely stupid to do. One can only work in Malta as a student or if you already have an EU residency(but if one has an EU residency, why look for work in Malta of all places?) The only places in the world that have ease in immigration acceptance are some south American countries or as difficult as their process is maybe Canada, however I feel this Canada's door will soon close, because hen... make I no talk that one. |
murphyibiam15:It could take as long as 3months... There could be exceptions, however you are in for a looooooooooooong wait. |
The way una dey talk sometimes I weak o... The OP wants a place to migrate to for long term in order to work, but I see comments here like "go to Netherlands", "go to Malta", "Go to Thailand" ... the question is; HOW? The above mentioned countries do not have any migration program, so how do you want him to go? ... oh I see, you all want him to overstay a visit visa or ... no I get it, take a boat across the Mediterranean? Dear OP, If you are looking to Migrate, look for countries with such programs available for your plan. I heard you stating you can teach English, that's great, but do your research about that area first; e.g do you need an international teaching certificate like CELTA, TESOL or DELTA? Do you need to learn a language of the area you intend to migrate to b4 going? Is the area you are going to Nigerian friendly-as you are a Nigerian passport holder? For your information, unfortunately Nigerians have a very bad reputation in Thailand due to constant drug peddling, so for now please stay away from Thailand, otherwise you may be victimized unjustly due to that Negative stereotype -especially if you are Igbo... yes I said that! Thai authorities have a special division that speak igbo in a bid to crackdown drug rings in Bangkok. Malta is a Mediterranean Island that is part of the Schengen area, however because it is an Island country-there are no immigration programs, you can only happen to stay long in Malta as a student(universities in Malta cost an arm and a leg for tuition), an economic investor or if you have a valid Schengen residency. Malta really doesn't have much to offer it's exactly like Cyprus, more of a holiday area, the only catch with Malta is the Schengen effect it has which of course they use to generate revenue by selling their citizenship by investment in a bid to attract foreign investors from the rich gulf regions... so if you have minimal funds Malta is not your area. Have you considered Argentina or Uruguay? I thought as much ... you wouldn't know because you are stuck on the general notion which blocks you from personal research. The Schengen areas have the same visa policy, and most of them have no long term migration policy except you marry one of them, however I advise you to look around South America or South Korea... research well and make a legal migration. Good luck. |
#inFela'svoice Lai lai man don start to lai again oooo ... |
If you are trying to get a Schengen visa quickly, please don't apply for a Belgian visa because the wait time is crazy. It could take up to 3months to get a response for a visit visa. I think Germany is the fastest, I dunno about Finland but for Belgium be prepared to wait a loooooooooong time. |
EgunMogaji:I didn't state if you got "My Point" it wasn't my video, I meant "The Point" of the video. You may refer to their video as hysterical et al, but they were trying to pass a serious message across and your attitude towards that message was very casual, which is why I quoted you. They provided all the evidence such as pictures, and called names... that's enough for one to trace home. Entering another country is a privilege-true, but there are standard policies, rules and regulations in place which are not to be violated in such instances, as a violation of such policies could be regarded as an assault to diplomacy. Which was quite obvious in this case, the Ladies were victimized on the basis of their nationality. And this isn't the first time I have heard of this. I have decided to follow up this case on a personal note though. |
EgunMogaji:Right there.... that's why I asked you if you watched the video because you are still not getting the point. Firstly those ladies are Permanent residents of Ireland with residency permits and they were coming from Ireland not Nigeria so certain things didn't apply to them (they just held Nigerian passports). However the Ladies were even insulted by the Chief immigration officer asking how they even acquired Irish residency in the first place... what an outrage! Are Nigerians garbage? Secondly the embassy of Tanzania was not in Ireland to make the visa inquiry, because according to their testament on the video "they, being very meticulous people on that regard" explored that option and it wasn't possible. They were even told by the airline that they could use the visa on arrival option as they were eligible for it (airlines won't even allow you get on a flight without the right visa, they have systems that check for visa eligibility) there are policies that should be followed regardless... if they had Irish passports that wouldn't have been the case. Thirdly they were treated harshly at the airport just because they were Nigerians, based on their testament, the chief immigration officer told them; even if they had the visa or not he wouldn't let them "Nigerians", in... wasn't that toxic enough? Fourthly they were deported without reason... because the person who escorted them (and showed a bit of empathy) agreed that it was true they didn't update their system with the new information so it was up to the discretion of the chief immigration officer to let them in... however the man hates Nigerians. Fifth, people also gave comments on social media during the video of similar treatment metted to them by Tanzanian immigration officials because they held Nigerian passports, however since they knew influential people in Tanzania, they were let in. My issue is, what is the ministry of foreign affairs doing about this? Like I am tired of hearing Nigerians being victimized world over. I have had similar experiences that's why I am livid. You were telling them to go to Obudu cattle ranch, first of all does that address the fact they were victimized? Secondly does it make sense that those same Tanzanians come to Nigeria visafree to visit that same Obudu cattle ranch and other places, but those ladies who were even going to startup a medical agency in Tanzania were deported because they were Nigerians... doesn't that bother you? Think about it |
EgunMogaji:Did you honestly post because you felt like posting or you didn't watch the video? Those ladies did not go to Tanzania for vacation as a matter of fact they revealed the load of crap that Nigerians are thrown when they visit Tanzania even with valid visas. |
sweetmelanin:Wait ... I don't understand this post & topic- Do you mean 5 European cities with a high population of black immigrants or 5 "Black friendly" European cities? Because if you meant "Black Friendly" cities that's a different thing entirely... because a city that has a high number of black immigrants, does not necessarily make it "Black friendly" e.g The US in general has a high number of Black people but is it "Black friendly"? Secondly some of the cities in the UK you listed are not "Black friendly"... |
feranmi111:No, it will only be stamped in at Spain unfortunately. But I get what you want to do. Co-incidentally if you want your passport tattooed like that, then you should travel through African countries- like take a flight to Ghana, road trip to Ivory coast, then road trip to Togo, then go to Nigeria. Trust me your passport would be severely tattooed if that's what you want. However Schengen area's won't give you that, unless you have a UK visa then you took a flight to Spain, then took a train to London and came back to Spain, you may acquire a few stamps that way or take trains out of the Schengen area like say to Romania and back. |
AGNESikpuNNU:The truth is, there is money in that country... like money literally runs around naked. That's why people still go there... those domestic workers get paid between 3-8k dollars in a month, depending on the employer. |
SYNGY:To transfer in theory sounds very easy, but practically it is sometimes nearly impossible. I will explain, most "cheap" universities in Turkey do not operate on the curriculum (ECTS) obtained in Europe, so most public Universities in Europe will not accept the transcripts for a transfer as they are strict on that, except you are in a private university that has the curriculum or you are transferring to a private university in Europe that can convert your CR hrs to ECTS and in that case the private universities are expensive. Unis in Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Austria can be very fussy about that, and you must have standard test scores in IELTS, or GRE/SAT before you are accepted for a transfer. So if you are going to a "cheap" universities, be careful otherwise the transfer plan may not be easily feasible. |
SYNGY:Iceland is a very small country, everyone knows everyone there and the income generation opportunities there is for a very subsistent and conservative lifestyle, secondly Iceland is still new to the immigrant acceptance idea, so you might not be able to quickly integrate for business startups or even working- my suggestion don't go there. (If you are even accepted) Turkey; its a cheap place but errrrh... Brov forget it! You will waste your time there... like, I don't even want to go into details. My suggestion: not all countries are for schooling. Czech Republic/Slovenia; Mheeen, the language will be a huuuuuuuge barrier, besides these countries are too conservative and laidback, it is very difficult to find a job there as a student because of these two conditions I have stated Czech, Slovakia and Slovenia fall under the same category... the black population there is also very scanty so if you go there without money, you are up for some very tough times, like you may eat snow for lunch. My suggestion; if you don't have a friend there please don't go without money abeg. Hungary: the Language challenge is horrible, like I think Hungarian is the most difficult European language, it would have been the most difficult in the world if not for Japanese and Cantonese... besides being black in Hungary is another challenge on it's own. My suggestion, if you are not well funded don't go there. Austria; this place? Why not try Germany...? Austria is basically a more conservative Germany in slow motion... meaning they are very big on language there. My suggestion, if you have no specific reason for Austria then try Germany. Finland: This is the better of the bunch, but if you need a job that's stable as a student for Gaya' s sakes go to Sweden or Denmark if you can afford Finland, the only catch with Finland is the free tuition in schools, but asides that ... it's a very reserved country. My suggestion if you are not academically minded, don't go to Finland... almost all the Nigerians doing fine there are very academically inclined. |
Brov Germany is the best option, But you need to budget at least 6Million NGN for the whole process flight ticket inclusive. 1Million or even 3Million is not enough. But it's worth it... studying in Germany will open your eyes to a lot of things as well as opportunities & eventually you will realize that the world does not revolve around the US, at some point you may have a free path to go but you would have lost the enthusiasm. Fyi; the Euro is not the Dollar's mate if making cash is your motivation for running to the US. |
Tchai... it's just that people don't know what they stand to gain from a delayed flight... let alone a cancelled one. Ol boy, Riches overnight... However na Naija, people don't know the corresponding legal suit procedures to follow for airlines |
smalldoctor:If you are serious about learning Japanese Language, go to the Japanese embassy at No.9, Bobo Street, Gana St, Maitama, Abuja. Make inquiries about their language and cultural programs. |
kekakuz:Brov, No1: Define the statement "one Nigeria".... 1b: From your definition, clearly state with examples, if your definition is according to; i) your perspective ii) general perspective, iii)sentimental perspective iv)logical perspective v) National perspective vi)Continental perspective vii)Global perspective viii)Academic perspective All questions carry equal marks |
