Trust me, all came from Jenifa |
desrie:Did Ethiopian immigration stamp entry on your passport? If not then you should' nt include that on your DS-160, as you have no documentation to proove you were in Ethiopia- unless you had Ethiopian entry and exit stamps. |
Where is the real photo of clement Isong? |
LadyGuinivere:Long time indeed Lady G! Greetings & Respect! Keep it rolling here, you are doing an Amazing job! |
dotcomnamename:Looool! Abeg o! |
MsTiitii:Hi There! I would like to point out that marriage is a very strong index to a significant tie, infact it is a primary tie, if it is proven as genuine and legal. So yes! a married individual has stronger significant ties than a single individual, given they are both of a similar status i.e a married student and a single student, have a common status but different profiles. So it actually plays to your favour if you are married esp with kids (more ties). A good Travel history helps, as it justifies your intent of return esp since every NIV applicant is regarded as a potential immigrant, but usually does not constitute a tie on it's own- it's more of a hint to a tie, but not a tie. Here's a throwback at My first denial at the US embassy; I was about 17 or 18, but I had a strong travel history of which included the UK, France, Hungary, Holland, Zambia and the Caribbeans, also uniquely then I was on two passports already, regardless of my young age. Plus my rather strong cockney accent I couldn't turn off (unlike now ) everyone was shocked I got flatout denied... as per say I was an Ajebo ![]() (This was around 2003 or thereabout but it's been a looooong time ago) Vo: Hello Me:Hi Goodmorning Vo:Where are you going? Me:bleep USA Vo:Alone? Me:yes Vo: Tell me Why? (Caught his interest) Me: for a Christmas holiday bleep... Vo: have you travelled alone before? Me: Yes and I drive alone as well *being smug* Vo: ok champ, nothing on you *smiles and flips my passports as I pass them to him* Vo: You were in France? Me: for a spell... Vo: Speaks to me in French Me: I answered Vo:What do your dad and mum do for a living? Me: Dads a ... Mums a ... Vo: Where are they? Me: Not in Nigeria Vo: so what do you do? Me: 1st year student at bleep uni Vo: look son, hate to do this to you but unfortunately... at that point all I heard is *mwop mwop mwop mwop*... I was livid because he stamped the "Application received" on my passport, no visa. He told me I had limited ties to Nigeria because my parents were not even in Nigeria and I was yet to establish my own ties, mheeeeen. Only me didn't go to USA that year. The embassy actually called my mum to inform her I wasn't eligible for an NIV based on Section 214b. The lady who was sitting near me wishing she had one of my passports eventually got the visa on a new passport. #oh might I add, she was a full time housewife from what I recall correctly. What am I saying; sometimes travel history isn't enough. People still get denied with formidable travel histories. It boils down to primary ties et al of which employment and marital status can define. |
kelvainoij:Please sir, study this thread. https://www.nairaland.com/3649314/canadian-student-visa-thread-part |
naijaboy756:No, it can't... by the way you don't just get a Canadian visa like going to a vendor and asking for a recharge card, there are visa categories that apply to certain instances and each visa category has it's own specific requirements. So find out the category that applies to your case and do the math of financial requirements as regards to your application- Visa's are not shop items that can be bought with a fixed amount of money, They are documents which require processing fees for obtaining certain legal materials, and in most cases, evidence of financial capacity... Understand? |
Grammywinner:You are good brov, either take certifications on HRM or CR which are highly sought after in the corporate world or make yourself dynamic with an M.sc in either of them and you are good. |
Poverty in Africa. .. chai |
MercyLady3:Different E.U countries have different residency procedures, I know about Belgium for example if a residential status is constantly renewed for 5 years and above, it's possible to begin legal proceedings for citizenship ... However as for Portugal, I don't know the bureaucratic processes which apply on that regard ... why don't you findout from the necessary authorities and share the info ? However studying an advanced degree and having a grasp of Portuguese combined with English should play to your advantage |
I am suspecting Sierra Leone |
Naijiant:Is it that you do not understand what the constitution plainly states? Why the unnecessary acrobatics of lyrical content? Note that there is an "and" before with the intent, meaning if you wear the uniform it is a crime "and" it is a double offence if there is an intent of impersonation |
Evet! Bende, Seni Seviyorum |
goingape1:Who told you humans are'nt on the menu in Nigeria? |
In New Zealand some days back, human effort was applied to push some stranded beached whales back to the ocean (Hundreds of them). But in Naija... caught Dolphins are hacked up & eaten on the spot. I truly worry about the consience quality of most Nigerians. |
I still don't get the essence of this BB game show? |
Search for her on facebook using the name, then message her for a meeting. Feb 14 is around the corner, who knows? You just might have found "the one" for you ![]() |
HelenBee:So his family can be deleted... the guy is wise. He probably had his family threatened. Just as the saying goes if you really want to silence a mans provocation, simply put his wife and kids on the line, & you will have a humbled boy. |
At times I really wonder about the mentality of some Nigerians, like it really leaves me combobulated After all the heavy warnings on this page, someone is still asking about visa changing from the same agent?? |
chibecan:Trust me this thread will keep on generating controversy, unless you do the needful. Because we are not foolish and we have the freedom of expression. @1.9 Million loooool! |
I think the poster meant 1.9m franc cfa ... because this is simply outrageous if the amount is in NGN. |
olaolulazio:It's even worse for guys man... Have you ever heard of Prostate cancer?? |
So where will I go from here? |
Golf 3's/4's are known to visit Electricians more than mechanics... |
DokitaDave:Yes you are right about Nigeria having more of female Technocrats of which the above quoted fall under... However Nigeria still has some notable female politicians... 1-Sen Madamme Ekwunife(Anambra State)- She knows the in outs of politics and she has once been a gubernatorial candidate for Anambra state. Being able to compete without handicap alongside men of Timber in Anambra state the likes of Chris Ngige, Andy Uba, Charles Soludo and Peter Obi shows the kind of stuff Sen Ekwunife is made out of... currently she is set to run for the governorship elections again in Anambra state, defecting to APC. 2- Sen Florence Ita-Giwa(Cross River state) - "That woman has charisma" as quoted by Donald Duke who was the ex governor of Cross River state. When it comes to political affairs the woman knows her onions, she is one of the key reasons Cross River state is on the nations map as far as Tourism is concerned. As one of the pillars of PDP in CRS, there is a reason APC is yet to find their feet in Cross River state. Five words, "Don't joke with Mama Giwa" 3- Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa - I would have said she is more of a technocrat based on her knowledge of international diplomacy and her versatility in diasporan relations but putting to consideration how she rose in the ranks of government, I would say her knowledge of the political feild gives her a unique edge. |
adeleke5157:she was a Technocrat not a politician... |
I fink the perfect height for a guy is 6"1 anything more is regarded as too tall. 6"1 is tall enough to be considered as tall and short enough to enable smartness in motor capacity. |
Nbote:I live in the US, I don't need to research what I experience daily |
Nbote:And you do realise Trump is about to make them illegal... e.g Abortions, Homo's, and the abuse of freedom |
If only Nigeria had secure borders and took Immigration control more seriously... Nigeria would not have been in this mess... |
Joel3:Why don't you advise the UK against "Brexit"? This is the same issue the UK are also trying to tackle, hence Brexit.... Immigration issues can be the total downfall of a country e.g Sweden. I believe the case of America was getting a bit out of hand. So Trump says he wants to handle that. If he can, Why should'nt he?? Do you know a large chunk of Nigerias insecurity issues presently stem from uncontrolled borders and a loose immigration policy? |

This is my advise for you. Go and hire an Immigration Attorney because our nairaland Chief of the Non-Immigrant Visa Unit at the U.S. Consulate may ban you from entering the US for having the guts to say all that O!
