I tink d pain is as a result of microbial activity or may b rather irritation of xposed free nerve endings dnt knw may b i m wrong bt My sista wz xperiencin tooth ache nd she used it nd it worked lyk magic nd eva since she neva complained of d ache. armadeo: Examples of eye diseases treated by an optometrist include..... ??wld jst give u a few cos of ur ignorance i shldnt b arguin wit u cos u hv google @ ur disposal. Ant uveitis, Blepheritis, open angle glaucoma, hordeoleum, conjuctivitis e.t.c. go get ur findings. In addition to all these an optometrist is trained to handle ocular emergencies nd also give pre nd post operative care. Wldnt reply u any more cos its a waste of my tym nd data |

armadeo: The eye doctor is the ophthalmologist. The optometrist is trained to give glasses.dnt speak out of sentiments. If u re ignorant of d scope of an optometrist pls go find out before dishin out wrong info. An optometrist diagnoses nd treat eye diseases as his scope covers. |

drsteroid: kk...it shows your V.A was 6/24 since you were only able to read the 1st three letters and that shows you are either myopia or astigmatism..4rm your tonometry result,it shows the pressure is ok,don't no the result of your opthalmoscopy and visual field test,that would have confirmed your glaucoma status.please just get your glasses and make sure you go for glaucoma screening at least once or 2wice a year,since glaucoma is familial..glasses has no effect in preventing glaucoma..thank youi tink if it is glaucoma probably normal tension glaucoma drugs wld b used nd nt glasses. I suggest u go to a better clinic to b diagnosed properly cos glaucoma is nt wht shld b joked wit. doc i tink dat va on snellens shld b 6/36 nd nt 6/24. Tnk u |

wot a shame to d african continent. Where were d africans when d whites were developing? Our leaders ar d dumbest of all particularly in nigeria our educational institutions ar in a messed state. The westerners put in efforts to b where dey ar now but in africa we dnt encourage research there ar no facilities to even cary out research. pls do wel to giv me a definition of who a doctor is so i educate u. an optometrist is nt an eye doctor, yet he cn treat his patient independently. by degree an optometrist iz qualified nd if u say direct clinician patient relationship is wht warrants u as a med to b cald a doc den an optometrist is also qualified for dat. U having an mbbs and one havin an OD who is better qualified to b cald a doc? In d US they hv doctor of medicine MD u wen get bachelor of med dey make noise. So whoz beta qualified. Xcept d opht who specializes in d eye field nd particularly surgery which dosent even cover all aspects in eye care as he an ophthal wld have to refer patients to a specialist optometrist in low vision or visual trainin. U dats a med doc dats nt specialized in eye health field come diagnose nd treat ocular conditions na if na beans |

and who says an optometrist is nt a doctor? I'm nt even sure of hw tru ur story might b? I guess u whose a medical corper cn manage eye diseases nd vision anormalies better dan an optometrist?
