pazienza:Part of the reasons Ndigbo pass through these things is that nobody pays attention to import issues like this and call them out exactly for what they are. Plot by the Buhari FG to deny the entire region any type of international access whatsoever! Yet, they are doing everything humanly possible to shore up Kaduna airport which is just 2 hours away from Abuja or Kano! Ndigbo must drop this "I don't care" attitude and maintain watchful vigilance and resist such brazen oppressive agenda |
[s] theoldpretender:[/s] Bloody liars! Even if oil is at $50,000 per barrel, Buhari will still ask for $200, 000 for him not to steal. When has oil been at $140 per barrel? Babangida built most of what we see in Abuja and Ajaokuta to Warri railway line with oil price at average of $15 per barrel. HE DID NOT ACCUMULATE FOREIGN DEBT! Obasanjo paid back our Paris club debt, built the LNG plant at Bonny, rebuilt most of the federal roads at average oil price of $25-$30 dollars per barrel. HE DID NOT ACCUMULATE FOREIGN DEBT! Again, what has Buhari built in Nigeria with average oil price at $75 dollars? WHY HAS BUHARI CONTINUED TO ACCUMULATE UNSUSTAINABLE FOREIGN DEBTS? who will pay back these debts? |
I don't even think Nigerians understand how bad our economy has become. The government is still lying to Nigerians to hide the terrible things they have been doing to our economy. It is only external data keeping organizations that have helped us to see all the evil things that are going on in our economy. |
ibotic:CIA world Fact Book. It is a credible data source used by US government agencies and many academic institutions in the world. |
ckenneths:See what planting trees, grass and flowers is turning Enugu to become a true Obodo Oyibo! Maaaan!, I jealous! |
Xander85:Gbam! All built in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is on their thread in skyscrapers. I also saw these buildings late last year while connecting from Enugu to Washington DC on Ethiopian airlines. If you have ever flown Ethiopian airline, you will see these long columns of highrise apartments just as you are landing in Addis Ababa! In the video at 6.44 you will see some of those housing developments that surround Addis Ababa. In December, i counted more than 13 of such housing clusters from the air. I think it's a worthy innovation for developers to take and area in the outskirt of the city and build those types of mass housing projects. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohM_O2RMBVg |
AmericanQuarter:Good to see you again Sir! I have missed you so much in this forum! |
hammer666:I am of the opinion that private entrepreneurs interested in real estate should invest in decent multistorey buildings than building just duplexes or bungalows. I know duplexes look better, but not everyone can afford them and the space of land to accommodate 1,000 families in duplexes will accommodate 5,000 families if you built multi-storey buildings. But, the essential amenities as water, parking and decent environment should also be provided for the multi-storey residential areas. |
gurnam:He was the ONLY President who genuinely loved Nigeria and wanted to keep Nigeria United. The witch that hates Nigeria did not want such a gentle soul alive. A civil war in Nigeria may happen after 2019, if things continue in the same direction or worsen. |
hammer666:EXACTLY! The little progress they have seen has annoyed them immensely as "So we didn't stop these useless Igbos afterall?" They are not relenting though. That is why nobody should be under any illusion until Nigeria is either restructured or Igbos are allowed to live decently in their own country - Biafra. Those that like real-estate should consider these types of apartment complexes used in Ethiopia like below. It is how places with high population density and small landmass provide decent houses for the masses. Since electricity is scarce in Nigeria, perhaps limiting to 5 storey floors will be appropriate adaptation for our clime. The saddest part of the Igbo renaissance is that most of our people simply swallowed the enemy's bait Hook-line-and-sinker with no questions asked. In their minds, Kano or Lagos is their hometown. i thank God for the Governors in these places that continuously remind them about this folly.

Arinze96:The first step to Igbo regaining their freedom in Nigeria is to understand the nature of the enemy's tactics and their goals. If you try and act in the opposite direction of their goals, then their oppression will fail eventually. 1. What they enemies of Ndigbo plotted was to abandon Igboland infrastructurally so that Igbos will be forced to abandon their own land. 2. Use and exploit Igbo energies and talent to develop their own villages and states, claiming it is in the national interest of Ndigbo to invest there, while telling Igbos to remember they are "Foreigners" in these places, therefore should not seek electoral positions or citizenship no matter their contribution to its development. 3. Finally at the right time with the right spark of tension, suddenly expel Igbos from all their locations back to their abandoned SE region and claim all Igbo properties outside the SE as "abandoned" The oppression of Ndigbo in Nigeria is geared primarily to acheive these three core elements of the enemy's plan. Therefore, Igbo must reject the idea that their homeland isn't good for investment and put some if not most of your investment in your own state! When you cannot put the investment in your state, invest in Ghana, Angola, Namibia,Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire. Sierra Leone, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Mali, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Equatorial Guinea, DRC etc Or outside Africa. It is better to invest in these countries and become a citizen there than to invest in hostile places inside Nigeria and lose everything to a "Quit-Notice" or riots after many years of laboring to build your life there. Let those that have ears LISTEN. Those that are too daft to see what is happening in Nigeria, should continue living in Kano, Katsina or Funtua etc. In time, they will get it. |
BUHARI AND HIS GOVERNMENT ARE ROBBING NIGERIA BLIND. So we have: 1. $30 billion dollars debt borrowed by Buhari from China,World Bank and IMF, 2. Billions of dollars recovered by whistle blowers mysteriously unaccounted 3. Billions of dollars earned in excess crude price of oil above $75 dollars while we budgeted for $45 dollars 4. Billion of dollars from the new taxes this regime has imposed on everything YET, THE BUHARI REGIME IS STILL DEPLETING OUR FOREIGN RESERVE?? |
NairaMedia:Nigerians and misplaced aggression. If you call Saraki a thief, what would you call the Abachas, The Buharis, The Babangidas etc that merely dipped their hands into the national treasury and filled their pockets secretly to their numerous foreign accounts? Yet, tell Nigerians to come forward if they have proof of how they stole money ![]() |
B2mario:Great State, Great Governor! |
buchai:Exactly! |
dorothy111:That is if the loans are not spent on some fake project in the desert of Katsina state. The problem with Nigeria is tribalism and not China's loans. Nigeria will leave viable projects and pursue unviable projects in the village of whoever is the president at the time. |
weownthewest:We actually have better buildings in the east. We are just struggling to get our people to also key into landscaping as part of building a home. Not just their present concern for the concrete structure alone. I have told people that if only Africans paid Igbo people paid attention to landscaping the way we pay attention to building nice structures, even America will not be more beautiful than Igboland. The struggle is to get our people to realize the importance of landscaping with trees and flowers, just as they realized concrete structures well designed were better than building ugly poorly designed buildings. If you can imagine the picture of the estate below without the flowers and trees and the last two with flowers and trees, you will agree that it will look exactly the same when they have flowers and trees and when they don't. Most estates in Nigeria don't do landscaping and they end up looking like any ordinary low cost housing estate you expect to see in Nigeria. That is what we need to change. Take for instance, a typical housing estate in Igboland such as Jedidiah gardens (Pics #3 and #4 below), it is a garden estate with only concrete bungalows as the plants in the garden. Not even a single tree because our people think all that matter is the concrete building not the environmental ambiance. Now look at the first two pictures below, the buildings below are even less structurally beautiful than many solid estates in Igboland, YET the people understand that landscaping makes a place even more beautiful and conducive than the physical structure itself. That is where we need to get our people's mental awareness to reach

nnamdijonathan:I don't live in Nigeria. But i will support it. SwedishDocument:Beautiful pics. I love those trees. This should continue and not a once in a lifetime event, then everybody will go and relax that they have planted one tree 5 years ago. Posting pictures of two roundabouts at Upper Iweka and Inosi-Onira worked on by Peter Obi more than 5 years ago is just deceitful. Environmental beautification is a continuous exercise until one day you will totally transform your environment to look like what we have in developed countries. |
ashjay001:Everyone simply wants A REHABILITATION PLAN to be adopted and ANNOUNCED the way they did the Abuja airport. 1. Announce the closest airport (OWERRI) where Enugu flights will be diverted for convenience of passengers. The way you refused to divert Abuja traffic to Lagos and chose (KADUNA) as closest airport. 2. Upgrade the closest airport to take Enugu traffic the way you upgraded Kaduna to take Abuja traffic. 3. Announce a fixed time period the runway resurfacing should have completed the way you did when Abuja airport was closed. If these things are done, everyone will see the sincerity in the closure and not saying you just want to close the airport indefinitely for "repairs" which we know you are NEVER going to do any "Repairs". |
nnamdijonathan:I am also 100% onboard with such a great idea. Not to take away anything from Enugu, but we need to focus on Onitsha and Aba. Let us focus on greening up the commercial cities of Aba and Onitsha first. These are the worst neglected cities in Igboland for a long time. I think Enugu already has decent greenery than commercial cities of Onitsha and Aba Compulsory building codes MUST include flowers and trees in our environment to check erosion, the way we included provision of water closet toilets in the past to check diseases. 1. We can begin by making ALL our higher institutions to plant trees and flowers on walk-ways. 2. ALL new Housing estates MUST plant flowers and trees in each compound as a compulsory building code.

Cjrane2:From their talk, you already know their plot is to close down Enugu indefinitely and divert all her traffic to Lagos, Abuja and Kano. Just follow their timeline of charade and you will clearly see their diabolical intentions to close down Enugu Intl. airport by any means necessary. In December, 2017, they said the runway was bad and had to close the airport for almost one month during he evening period to "Fix" the runway. In January, they declared the runway was "fixed" and ready. (Question was "Why didn't they get PWC the builders of the runway to "fix" it based on contractual agreement they signed in 2012?) In March, they sent Senate committee to call for closure of the airport. In June, they sent Minister of state for communication, Sariki, to go and ask Enugu State government for demolition of "Obstacles" which are miles away from the airport. In August, this man is coming back to say it is the runway they will rehabilitate again. Yet they say, they will divert to the closest airport for the convenience of the Enugu passengers. The closest airports to Enugu are OWERRI and Port Harcourt! The video interview, the man was running away from saying the runway was bad because he remembers well that they closed the airport in December to "Fix" the runway. So he is finding other lies to tell. Buhari should just leave Enugu airport alone. He already slashed the budget for the airport blaming senators for it. Seeing that budget cut will not make the airport to close down, he is now using childish lies from the pits of hell to try and close it down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOCe5d4-hVc |
Handsomegod:Actually if anyone said anything bad about this great investment in Igboland it will be that guy and Chino using their numerous monikers. I don't trust either of those Igbo haters. They have too many monikers to count. But their style of writing and same punctuation error always give them away. |
So if all the former Presidents just borrowed $30 billion dollars regardless of Nigeria's income, would we even have a nation today? Zimbabwe will be a childs play compared to what Buhari plans for Nigeria |
nnamdijonathan:I love that BUA cement group. They are NOTHING like Dangote who makes FAKE cement and dump it in the SE market. Just take a census of the number of buildings that have collapsed in the SE and see the cement they were using for the construction -DANGOTE! In advanced countries, he would have been made to pay damages and compensation on loss of lives for his fake cement. But this is Nigeria where criminal get Federal Government protection and they continue their criminal production of substandard cement. |
Lerio:Well, it is EXACTLY because of elections that you hear them even mention the roads in the SE at all to acknowledge they remember they exist. After the election, it will revert to business as usual. They will pretend they didn't know such roads existed in Nigeria. An evil group of people congregating in a party should not be voted for PERIOD! |
AmazingELixir:My brother, it's IMPUNITY! The armed forces members in Nigeria do as they like. Besides, there may also be other hidden agenda to ruin that airport by building permanent structures so dangerously close to the runway, Afterall, in Kano, Kaduna,Lagos,Abuja where Nigeria airforce operate even bigger airbases, they didn't built any makeshift structures on the runway of those airports. The surprising part is that despite the cry for them to remove it, FAAN has not deemed it necessary to remove the hazard. But they are crying about markets that are 2 miles away from the airport and a radio mast that is 6 miles away! |
anibi9674:It is so unfortunate that a constitution made by draconian military dictators to hold maximum power is still being operated in for almost 20 years since be came a democratic society. |
behosgroups2019:Shameless liar. You claim you do not know this isn't a picture from Nigeria talk-more of from the SE where you know the soil is red there? Yet you post this and you have the guts to call people liars for speaking the truth? May Satan himself reward you and your family.
|
Okay, since the structures to be demolished are outside the airport such as markets etc, why are they shutting down the airport? Also, if you are demolishing structures that are two miles away from the airport, but will not demolish other structures and classrooms built almost next to the runway by airforce, would that not be silly? Buhari is having a nightmare that the AIIA, Enugu has continued to grow despite his wicked neglect. Thus, he wants to close it down indefinitely for good using one silly demolition excuse or another. Everyone knows Buhari's evil intentions. If he really wants to improve the airport, let Buhari concession the airport to private consortium that will develop it sincerely like a business. This is the ONLY international airport in Nigeria without a completed taxiway. Buhari stopped it in 2015 and everybody has since forgotten about the abandoned airport's taxiway which Buhari never restarted. Now the excuse to close it are masts and markets that are miles away from the airport. Meanwhile the airforce classroom buildings in the picture below which is illegally situated right on the edge of the runway are not even discussed at all. https://www.nairaland.com/979128/enugu-pride-east/527

Handsomegod:Me too! He thinks we are too dumb to know he is arguing with himself and claiming he has people calling fictitious people. All the lies are geared towards making you fear he has supernatural ability to get your identity ![]() Pure madness! |
Victornezzar:@ bolded...You meant to say GUY. I will create my own monikers and begin to respond to myself. I will threaten myself with some and praise myself with others. I wonder how that feels. |
