AnamCity:You are right. In America nobody worships Julius Berger or foreign companies, they have local construction companies in each state, which create a lot of local jobs. Yet these local construction companies still build standard roads and bridges in all states of USA |
When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites. They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country! But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria. Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT! I know just like me, many of our people are not 100% convinced Biafra is the answer, while many others already are. Therefore, we should agitate for a UN sponsored referendum on the Biafra issue . Northern Ireland fought the British for 30 years for the independence of Northern Ireland, but the referendum proved that majority of the people wanted to stay in the UK. Likewise, the South Sudan's referendum proved majority of South Sudanese wanted to be in their own country. Therefore, a United Nations sponsored referendum should be the demand to see if majority of our people support independence or to stay in Nigeria. |

Hehehehe The dulllard is hoping on Britain to give him the arms and not charging anything for their weapons as in the past. Common Boko Haram of a few thousand men, you have not defeated because you can't afford the right quantity & calibre of weapons required, it is a real Biafran war with hundreds of thousands of troops you think you can win in 2015 when the world can barely stand the word "Nigeria" as a by-word for hate and corruption. This just gives you a clue how empty the dulllard's brain is. So,what happens if as expected, Britain fails to provide the arms for another civil war to the north, where will Nigeria get the money to fight a war come from? Even if you sack all the federal civil servants to gather money? ![]() A dulllard will always be a dunce. Everyday, i get convinced that Nigeria should indeed breakup because of ediots you have as leaders in it. |

CFCfan:One huge impediment to AIIA growth that needs to be addressed quickly for the airport to keep growing is to attract at least one European airline to combine Enugu with one of it's African routes. Just as Port harcourt Intl. airport combines with Abuja for the Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt and Mallam Aminu kano Intl. airport combines with Ndjamena airport for the Istanbul flight. Enugu needs to combine with another African airport to get access into a major European airport such as Paris, Frankfurt or London. Air France is easily the best airline to negotiate adding Enugu to it's almost empty 3-4 times/ weeks flights from either Lome. Cotonou or Yaounde Paris-Lome- Enugu or Paris-Cotonou-Enugu or Paris-Yaounde-Enugu Any of these combinations will make it feasible for our people to fly from Enugu into Europe or USA and vice versa easily and cheaply. I hope someone at Govt. house Enugu or somewhere can begin negotiating to add Enugu to any of these 3 Air France routes. I would personally prefer routing via Cotonou or Lome option. |
Igbonazy:I don't think we need to force anyone, unless they are willing to pull resources together. The biggest concern is the type of hotels our business people build in Onitsha. Our business people should learn to build this type of high quality hotels with large pool areas like in your picture. Some of the hotels we have in Onitsha is shameful . The Onitsha holiday resort for example .

investnow2013:Very great news. I wish wealthy folks will do more of this. Build 20-50 housing projects in as estate. Real estate is one investment you could never lose. Besides the fact that you can bequeath the properties to your offsprings. |
BuddahMonk:Yorubas are a shameful , treacherous group. The devil used Yorubas to curse Nigeria from ever working together in truth and decency |

If it likes, let it reach N500 naira. Wetin concern gorimakpa with barbar? Nigerians asked for it when they were voting a dulllard into power. Imagine someone without SSCE, F9 in maths, is now the finance minister in Nigeria. The dulllard believes the economy is run by issuing empty orders that $1 should exchange for N160, and it will just happen because people are scared of him? Nigerians got what they deserve. |
ARROBA:The man has given every reason in the world such as shortage of funding why in spite of "his" desire to complete the 8 months timeline, it will not be feasible. The best things for airports in Nigeria is to privatise them. Let big construction companies and business men buy it and run it profitable. As long as they are left in the hands of the government in a highly tribalistic country like Nigeria, nepotism often come against business and common sense. |
Life is always about killing someone or something for el-rufai |

El rufai should find them jobs. Afterall they are beggars because our government does not care for the less priviledged |
The Daura dulllard is an old crook. He simply fooled Nigerians and took advantage of everyone's desire for a change. Promising to deliver change, while i reality he was going to dine with the same former crooks responsible for all the ill in Nigeria that ran to his new party. Nigerians have been duped. |
IGBOSON1:The Osita Chidoka guy or whatever he calls himself is a useless efulefu. I never had any faith in him. he was totally confused and wanted to dedicate his time on how to chop without ruffling the feathers of yourbas in aviation ministry , than improving anything at all. Precisely why i applaud Anambra North people for voting a proven fighter as Stella Oduah to represent them in the Senate. |
waternopassgari:Correct! I'm not sure, but i believe an Inland container port was approved for Enugu & Aba during Obasanjo 2nd term days when the hassle to upgrade Enugu airport for Intl. access was still ongoing.. In any case, if the state government seriously work towards establishing a functional FTZ, it will be easier to lobby the FG to cite an inland container port with a functional FTZ facility than arguing for a container port, when no effort whatsoever is made to develop the FTZ that had been approved. |
I thought someone would raise this issue over the years but none so far. I know it will become an issue sooner than later under Buhari Presidency as people look for the slightest safety concern to deny other regions an Intl. airport. Anyhow, its good to keep our facilities safe and sound. So, with the Enugu International expected to grow in time. I was just wondering if it is time to relocate these innocent folks living at the tip of the runway for their own safety? Besides, NCAA might cite this as a reason for deeming the airport unsafe, they way they did to Asaba airport, if that village or slum continue to grow with attendant cooking smoke etc coming out from the location which might obscure pilot's visibility just at the point of touch down on runway 26. The state govt. should act proactively and relocate the folks so close to the foot of the runway before NCAA drops the hammer and disrupts operations at the airport for weeks or months over something the govt. could so easily quietly take care of.

ifeanyi199555:if it wasn't you posting those pictures on skyscraper, i'm sorry. Ujoinme typically posts the same pictures of Uyo both in NL and skyscrapers because they are his pictures. This dude just roams the internet (especially this thread) just picking pictures and posting in Enugu thread on skyscrapers and he is really an embarrassment.Even someone from London will know better with some of the American pictures he simply copies and posts, not even recognizing what an Enugu picture could look like, while at the same time swearing to all that he actually lives in Enugu and owned the pictures. |
ifeanyi199555: ![]() I am sure you immediately wanted to copy the picture and post on skyscrapers as usual, but realized at the last minute. Goshhh! Thank God you read for once and saw it was an illustration.Learn to post ONLY your own pictures on skyscrapers. You should stop posting pictures from here onto Skyscrapers claiming the credits that you took those pictures, unless you have Spyder's permission and you know Enugu very well to know the locations where they were taken and you have read the post to know if it were an example of something. Some of you have really embarrassed yourselves by copying blindly without even reading the posting that accompanied the pictures you are copying. You posted a picture someone used here as an example in 2013 and recently the completed roof of Enugu International conference center on skyscraper, not even realizing someone had used it as an illustration because you don't have time to read posts before copying.Thank God you took it down because someone raised the issue. We are here to put forward ideas and sometimes illustrate our ideas by posting a picture in London, USA or Dubai where it was done. We occasionally have debates about open gutters and we post pictures from elsewhere to illustrate how covering the gutter could transform our environment for the better. You need to go back this thread and see that this isn't a praise singing thread for Enugu, but to explore better ways while showcasing the achievements so far. This is a thread to principally discuss Enugu's development, strategies that can be adopted, where those strategies worked etc, unlike skyscrapers where you are measuring d.ck with Ghanians and South Africans about which country is more beautiful, to no real political substance about how to improve anything. We know government people view this thread, at least during Chime's administration. That is why we are not concerned about singing praises here as if everything is now perfect and government people need not do better.Even though we know Enugu is already better than most places in Nigeria with a fraction of the money available in those states, we are not comparing with those failed states of Nigeria. Enugu focuses on comparing with other world class African and world cities and we are here to support that quest with practicable ideas in consideration of the meagre resources. We are exploring ideas about how to improve our state, southeast nigeria, free trade zones, airport, economy, fruitful political alignments etc. See the original link here, everyone but you knows i'm reiterating someone else's previous example. https://www.nairaland.com/979128/enugu-pride-east/395 |
knowledgeable:Your ideas about a sort of civilian JTF is good, but i completely disagree with you and reject such path completely. My fears are that those that who will operate it will not think of the great ideas you have now. They will be after using their membership of the militia to extort money from the innocent masses. Imagine common "Ndi-nche" community vigilante night watch. They will molest women in the same community they are supposed to protect simply because the girl was returning late from somewhere. Imagine some of our criminals have enough firepower to match boko haram, but Kogi militias will attack their villages and they will run instead of fight back. But the next day, they will be robbing members of their village with the same guns. So, i totally disagree with militias, they worsen the problem with their lack of knowledge about the big picture. |
FowlYansh:Thats actually not a bad combination. But they must begin now to sensitize Nigerians and their base. Too many things are left for granted in Nigeria until the last minute. |
