But how are we sure that the purported prisoner transfer is true in the first place. Secondly, is that enough reason to shut down the whole markets all of a sudden?
I believe something fishy is going on. The govt should better issue a reasonable explanation for these. The tension created by this funny rumour is just uncalled for
The worst thing we can complacently tolerate now that Boko haram has resurrected themselves under Buhari is to allow their movement en-mass into our region. What happened to the massive prisons in Abuja and other northern states to accommodate these terrorists?

Boko Haram is known to always "break jail" and escape, only to surface a few weeks after the "jail break" to bomb everywhere. This plot is the first stage to destroy Igboland by bringing bombing and insurgency attacks to the Main market, Onitsha and other places. The same people have chased Igbo from the north, now they want to chase us away from our own land.

We should simply say NO to bringing Boko haram terrorists into Onitsha and make sure if they dare to bring those terrorists, we shall attack Onitsha prisons and kill those murderers ourselves and burn the place down.

What can be done to cut this their supposed excesses??
100% resource control to the owners of every resource will remove the need to cheat in order to get the lion share of other peoples resources.

Federal Government must remove it's hands from the resources owned in the states. FG should only receive royalty taxes as the central government.

Give 100% solid minerals to the northern and eastern states that own it
Give 100% oil minerals to the states that own it
Give 100% tax/ port resources to Lagos where it is generated

There should be an onslaught against all oil infrastructure until the Confab agreement of Nigerians is implemented.

Buhari wants to export his Boko haram hardcore fighters to the South East part of Nigeria pretending he is bringing prisoners. As usual, very soon a "jail break by unknown persons" will set them free to bomb the place as they like.

Since he relocated the "army headquarters" to maiduguri, the almost defeated boko haram have suddenly gained more weapons and a new lease of life to renew their murderous campaign. I don't trust Buhari's true intentions when it comes to Boko Haram

Anambra people should mob the prison and kill all those murderous terrorists and burn the place down if Buhari stubbornly bring Boko haram to the state

http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/domestic-operators-want-multiple-entries-for-foreign-airlines-reversed/187657/

My anger with these so called "local airlines" is why can't they simply fly those routes and compete with those foreign airline.
For example what prevents Aero contractor or Arik to fly Enugu-Dubai and compete with Ethiopian on that route? Must everyone in a country of 175 million people fly just through Lagos and Abuja airports.
That mentality that only one or two cities in a huge diverse country like Nigeria should have all the facilities and everyone is forced to crowd out Lagos and Abuja airports in order to please local operators greed is flat wrong and unacceptable.

Ofcourse to prove this is not a plot to punish the smaller international airports at Kano, PH and Enugu, the aviation ministry can equally share out all the airlines operating in Nigeria among the 5 international airports and tell each airline it's designated single entry point amongst the 5 international airports.
1. So British airways, ASKY Air, EgyptAir,Royal Air Moroc,Douniah Airlines, can use Kano as single point of entry,

2. Lufthansa,Ethihad,Kenya airways,Azman Air, Dana airlines, Swiss Air, Iberia will use Abuja as point of entry,

3. Delta airline, Med view, Middle East airlines, Rwanda air, Africa World, Brussels Air, South African airline will use Lagos,

4. Emirates,Turkish airlines,Qatar airways,Virgin Atlantic will use PH,

5. Air France, Ethiopian,United Airlines,KLM, will use Enugu.

Inasmuch as Asagba of Asaba is a pro Igbo monarch but the type of behaviour being exhibited by some Anioma Youths will always make one develop cold feet trying to associate with them.

I love Anioma people very but the ignorants among them have succeeding in playing we are Delta people and they are Ndigbo game.

Its very unfortunate and disappointing seeing your kiths n kins acting childish because of insecurity that does not exist.

Anioma Youths need to look Eastward because we all have one common enemy.

I will advise Anioma Youths to look Eastward and embrace their Igboness with full force because even in Delta they are known as Delta Igbos but they will say "we are Deltans" but those across the Niger are "Ndigbo". What a nonsense
Asaba, Ogwashi, Okpanam etc have never doubted their Igbo heritage.Anioma sons such as the legendary Joe Achuzia served gallantly in the Biafran army. The only part of Anioma contesting their Igbo heritage in Delta in this day and age are towards Agbor. principally as a result of closeness to Edo state.

What you have said is true. The biggest problem with Onitsha nay Anambra is lack of planning using satellite imagery. Onitsha and Nlpor layout is like a right angle triangle where the center is choked up and congested while the outside part is sparsely populated. If atani road were linked to Onitsha - Owerri road at the Obosi flyover, it will open up another ample stretch of land that will take decades to develop. But nobody even knows not thinks about that because they have never viewed the map of Anbra state from the satellite of google earth.
The distance is actually just 6 kilometers and it would really change the landscape of the city.

PoliticsRe: Radio Biafra Director Nnamdi Kanu Reacts To #calabarbombing by OreMI22: 12:05am On Jun 26, 2015
wexyee:
The Director of Radio Biafra Nnamdi Kanu has condemned the bombing of Calabar and have called on all Biafrans to stand up behind the people of Cross Rivers, who are their brothers.

Nnamdi Kanu said, “he will be cutting short his tour of some countries of the world, where he hoped to obtain their support, to get back home within days to lead the resistance.

According to reports, Vice-Marshall Adeola Amosu, the Chief of Air Staff gave the order for the Airforce to bomb Calabar.

Director Nnamdi Kanu told listeners of Radio Biafra that he would be on ground to command the forces against Nigeria. He also told Biafran volunteer soldiers on ground in Biafraland to be on red alert as he was coming back to lead them in battle.

He argued that Boko Haram has been bombing, killing and taking territories from Nigeria and that President Muhammadu Buhari, who he called a terrorist & a pedophile, has not found it expedient to bomb them. Director Kanu wondered why Buhari would send his soldiers to one of the most peaceful parts of Biafraland – Calabar – to perpetrate his bombing evil.

Director Kanu considered the Calabar bombing as another act of betrayal of Southern Nigeria by the Yoruba tribe, as a Yoruba man ordered the Calabar bombing which claimed the lives of innocent fathers, mothers and children inclusive.

He also used the opportunity to give the order that the leader of Deeper Christian Life Ministries, William Kumuyi, who was preparing to hold a crusade in Aba, Abia State, must be stopped. The crusade is to hold on Tuesday, June 30, but Kanu ordered Biafrans to remove all his posters found anywhere in Biafraland. He said the crusade would never hold, unless the preacher condemns the act by the Nigerian forces being led by his fellow Yoruba man.

Director Kanu advised Kumuyi to go to Yorubaland to preach to his people, whose population he said was half Muslim, and that his preaching was not needed in Biafraland where there are 100 per cent Christians.

Kanu also took time to tell his audience that he was not surprised that the bombardment was coming few weeks after Britain sent its top military officers to debrief Nigerian forces. He told the world to take note that British government has started with its shenanigans in Biafraland once again. He reminded the world how British government aided Nigeria from 1967 to 1970, to perpetrate the genocide in Biafraland in which more than four million Biafrans died.

He therefore urged the world to restrain the British government from meddling in the affairs of Biafrans by using its Nigerian stooges to destroy Biafran lives. He told the British that Biafran ancestors committed no offence by welcoming them into their lands with open arms.http://www.opinionriver.com/radio-biafra-director-nnamdi-kanu-reacts-to-calabarbombing/

Those that want civil war in Nigeria expecting US, Britain, Russia and Egypt to rush to their aid with unlimited quantity of weapons to defeat Biafra are in for a huge surprise.

Many countries in Africa and the world today know that a united Nigeria was a great tactical mistake and wish Nigeria were disintegrated. Worse still, the general good will towards Nigeria at the early years of her independence has been substituted for scorn at the mention of the word Nigeria

When the plant is here, Nigerians will learn to sit up and become lawful. Besides, a country like France is generating more than 80% of their power supply from nuclear. Who says we cannot do it here? Just take a look at the numbers of Nigerians that are first class materials outside the country, almost everywhere you will hear of it. And come to think of it, how come that a company like nnpc has not been up in flames since it was commissioned? It's because those operating it knows that every safe procedures has to be followed and is the same reasons why all the petrol and gas stations we have around us are not up in flames. Because Nigerians have learned to sit up and follow the laid down safety rules.

We cannot continue to remain on the shameful crawling state we are when other countries are moving forward and improving their technology and in the process, their standard of life. Nigeria, need to wake up, sit up and be ready to take the bull by the horn.
See your rotten mouth comparing Nigeria to France?

Incase you didn't know, France is a nuclear power, makes airbus planes and has robust military industry making jet fighters and satellite guided munitions. Has Nigeria been able to make any of these? Yet, you have the effrontery to compare Nigeria to France. Even comparing Nigeria to Ghana or Angola these days is becoming a difficult job.

Nigeria has abundant hydro electric potential, abundant gas and coal. Why can't it use them? Even Germany and Japan would rather import gas than build more nuclear plants. Is Nigeria a better or more advanced countries than these places? USA is number 1 natural gas producer in the world, yet 42- 49% of its electricity comes from coal! On the average, USA, China, Brazil and South Africa generates 45% of here electricity from coal. Why can't Nigeria copy these good examples?

The only reason Nigeria does not want to use her God given coal for energy generation is that it will compel them to build power plants in Enugu and Kogi states where the coal is abundant. An option of building electric plants outside the far north or southwest is not appealing to the APC tribalists.

PoliticsRe: 10 Facts You Didn't Know About The First Nigerian Coup And Civil War by OreMI22: 6:54pm On Jun 21, 2015
Mobsync:
1. The Republic of Biafra actually had two presidents. The first was Odumegwu Ojukwu. The second was Obong Philip Ewing who was in office from January 8 till January 12, 1970, after Ojukwu had fled the country.

2. The Republic of Benin* is the shortest independent country in the world. It was created in the then Mid-Western region, Nigeria, by the Biafran government on September 19, 1967. It lasted till September 20, 1967, when it was captured by Nigerian troops.

*The Republic of Benin should not be confused with the West African country: Benin Republic, which is also called the Republic of Benin. During the Nigerian civil war, Benin Republic was officially known as the Republic of Dahomey.

3. Contrary to popular belief, the coup of January 15-16, 1966, was not executed by Major-General Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi. It was executed by five Army majors (four Igbos and one Yoruba): Kaduna Nzeogwu, Timothy Onwuatuegwu, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, Chris Anuforo and Adewale Ademoyega. Emmanuel Ifeajuna was the leader and not Nzeogwu as some people claim. Aguyi-Ironsi only came into power because he was the highest ranking military officer in Nigeria after the coup failed.

4. The January 1966 coup was actually half-successful. Kaduna Nzeogwu was able to capture the north but Timothy Onwuatuegwu was unable to capture the south. Kaduna controlled northern Nigeria for several weeks while Aguiyi-Ironsi controlled the southern Nigeria. Kaduna controlled northern Nigeria for several weeks while Aguiyi-Ironsi controlled the southern Nigeria.

5. General Yakubu Gowon is a Christian from the Ngas tribe (also called Angas), based in Lur village, Plateau State. He was chosen as president of Nigeria after the counter-coup of 1966 which was led by northern soldiers. Gowon was chosen because he was neither an Hausa, Fulani or Muslim. The coupists did not want it to look like northern coup.

6. Before the coup of 1966, Major Kaduna Nzeogwu often led some soldiers on a training excercise close to the house of the premier of the north: Sir Ahmadu Bello. The training exercise, codenamed "Excercise Damisa," was actually a dry run to the impending coup. On the day of the coup, Nzeogwu personally threw the grenade that destroyed Sir Ahmadu Bello's gate.

7. Nobel laureate: professor Wole Soyinka, visited Odumegwu Ojukwu in August 1967, so they could discuss how to avert the war. This angered Yakubu Gowon who had him detained for almost two years.

8. Emmanuel Ifeajuna later fought for Biafra during the Civil War. He was arrested and executed at the orders of Ojukwu who believed he was negotiating a ceasefire with Nigeria and was also trying to overthrow him.

9. During the counter coup of 1966 that brought Yakubu Gowon into power; Buka Suka Dimka, who later killed Murtala Muhammed in the botched 1973 coup, tried killing his Brigade Major: Samuel Ogbemudia, because he detained him for deploying soldiers without authorization.

Dimka conscripted some northern soldiers who chased Ogbemudia all the way from Kaduna to Owo, Ondo state. Both sides exchanged gunfire during the chase which only ended when Ogbemudia's Land Rover ran out of fuel and he escaped into the jungle.

10. The famous 3rd Marine Commandos headed by Colonel Benjamin Adekunle and later Olusegun Obasanjo, was originally named the 3rd Infantry Division. Without approval from Army headquarters, Colonel Benjamin Adekunle changed the name to 3rd Marine Commandos because he felt the 3rd Infantry Division did not really project the unique, difficult and dangerous terrain the division was operating. Today, the 3rd Infantry Division are in Jos, Plateau state. They have been renamed the 3rd Armored Division.
