PoliticsRe: 'No Tribe Can Claim Lagos, Even Oba Of Lagos Is From Benin Lineage.'--Lagos Govt by OreMI22: 6:53pm On Jun 21, 2015
When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites.

They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country!

But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria.

Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT!

Massob is right to seek self determination for her people.
Nigeria is such a wicked place where the game is about ganging up against other people and trying to suppress their development.

Since like the former Soviet Union, Nigeria cannot guarantee equality of all the constituent nations in it, it should be allowed to break into ethnically homogeneous groups like the former Soviet Union.

C'mon shatap Abagworo, i'm not here for your likes.
You probably don't know there are architectural differences between an office building and a residential building.
BTW, i'm advocating for OFFICE BUILDINGS and not residential buildings. You had the nerve to post a HOTEL as your model for residential buildings. Where have you seen residential buildings looking like 4-5 star hotels, even in the USA? You even had the audacity to call residential buildings in Enugu " Igbotic" , while in your Ikwerre area, people resided in slum dwellings only fit for poultry and you have no comments on that?

Just wondering why the Greek gift to Kogi and Akwa Ibom.

Why not site nuclear stations in Kano and Kaduna or Katsina? Those areas are typically favored in federal allocations and investment.

Why not this one?

This war will be decided on how militants devise the anti helicopter warfare. They should show they aren't the brainless boko haram that can't devise a battle strategy.

They should practice entrapment positioning and acquire good anti aircraft guns that can track a target and bring it down. Until they perfect this strategy no need trying to engage the helicopters with light machine guns because they will simply be roasted.
PoliticsRe: Buhari To Appoint 12 Senior Ministers From North by OreMI22: 2:31pm On Jun 21, 2015
GOATandYAMtheory:
After accepting the Ahmed Joda-led Transition Committee recommendations of a “small government” which entails pruning the number of ministers from 42 to 19‎, President Muhammadu Buhari may appoint 12 senior ministers from the North.

Sunday Mirror also gathered that most of the service chiefs and some other top security chiefs will also come from the North.

The President is expected to implement key recommendations of the report, especially those proposing lean cabinet structure as a way of cutting recurrent expenditure and freeing up funds for capital projects.

According to a source, the committee recommended only 19 senior ministers and 17 (junior) ministers of state totaling 36 in line with constitutional provision of one minister per state.

Top on the list of the ministries to be manned by Northern politicians and technocrats include education, defence, FCT, finance, Justice, police affairs, foreign affairs and the newly-created ministry of energy amongst others.

According to the source, “President Buhari has already drawn his list in line with the Joda committee recommendation and has accepted to work with only 19 ministers who will man key ministries. The list which will be sent to National Assembly this week is already been screened by the security agencies.

“The list though as expected has more northerners but like you know, ‎the North has more states than the South. Again, the intention is not to make one region dominate the other but purely because of competence and the expertise of the persons chosen.

“It is believed that once the screening is concluded, this ministerial nominees will be in the public domain. They are Nigerians that have proved their worth‎ and I can assure you that you will appreciate the thoroughness of Mr. President in making the selection.”

‎Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has said that it would continue to play active role as an opposition party,

The PDP in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh yesterday said the party is re-engineering and repositions to regain power in 2019.

The leadership said recent political events in the country have continued to vindicate the PDP as “the only true national platform committed to the national interest, where all citizens as equal partners are free to hold opinion and aspire to any position, no matter how high, without regard to creed, class or ethnic considerations and in which no individual or group of individuals can claim ownership or attempt to appropriate control.”

Stating that it has since overcome the setback of the last general elections, the PDP said as a party founded on the principles of freedom, equality, justice and national unity, its spirit “is still alive and stronger, now more than ever before, in the minds of most Nigerians and families in all the nooks and crannies of the country”.

The leadership therefore charged its members in all the wards, local government and states of the federation to close ranks, double their efforts and continue to work with their leaders at all levels to ensure that the PDP comes out stronger to regain power at the center and in its traditional states come 2019.

We should also encourage our people to build standard office buildings to create more office spaces for businesses eager to move into Enugu.
Investing in real estate can never be unprofitable in an emerging economy. The lack of office spaces is a real impediment and we don't even need skyscrapers. Buying some of those bungalow buildings on Okpara avenue, Ogui road Zik avenue,or Presidential road and replacing them with just 3-5 storey high office buildings as in the picture will do it and create standard office spaces in the city.Such building ground floor also provide appropriate spaces for modern restaurants or even boutiques

It's the job of the Ministry of environment and the waste management agency to dispose the waste, orientate people and also punish those who go against the rules. It worked in PH, Enugu and Lagos.
The best method is to repeat what Fashola did in Lagos. Set up two strong groups in the ministry of environment.
The first group enforce sanitation dues and also contract private companies to cart away refuse regularly. Then the environmental beautification and reclamation group that plant trees and flowers along roads and open parks.

The next area for luxury bus terminal is in Ogbunike near the old toll gate. The area can be developed into a modern bus terminal for all the luxury bus companies as it happens in other countries.

PoliticsRe: Anambra light of the nation, eastern economy power house. by OreMI22: 9:51pm On Jun 20, 2015
They will have to negotiate with the military to buy some land from them. That is perhaps the only space before the former Onitsha toll gate area.

Obiano will not have an easy task sanitizing Onitsha to the extent that it will attract tourists. Even if they are from Kenya. This is because he has to overcome the several decades of planlessness when the city was allowed to grow amorphously without any thoughts for parks, open spaces and future road expansion. However, it is still possible to make Onitsha great but it will take a lot of determination and ingenuity of thinking to do it. Perhaps the bus terminal for luxury buses can be built half way between Awka and Onitsha to serve both cities.

I hope steps at serious urban planning are taken now to forestall the type of planning dearth we experienced in Onitsha from repeating in Awka.

Anambra should ban any sort of motor park around the flyover and convert the entire place to a powerful garden.

Transporters should liaise with the state government to secure a large area along the express as a motor park terminal for all cadres of public transport operators..
I will upload the location near the army barracks which could be secured for this mega terminal.
