Hi Greatn3ss.

How many languages are spoken around her or to communicate with her

I'm not an expert but I once read an article of some parents in the diaspora that complained about something similar to this about their child and they were advised by the Drs to only communicate with their child using one language.

I learnt that at times it is difficult for some children's brain to speak becos of multiple languages spoken around them.

So try to use only one language to communicate with her and be intentional about it

Why is ICAN disgracing her members

On what basis was Yẹyẹ Bello given this award.

This man is a proven failure someone that can't manage the economy of his State is vying for the post of Presidency.
If this man mistakenly wins, we would beg Buhari to come back cos what we re currently facing would be a joke.

Oga swerve you are a weak man. Tell your own wife to park her things and go stay with her parents in the village. Thank God the OP's husband is not as weak as you.

Lol weak indeed.

Has one off visit now turned into living with them.

Mr Strong man sir

I hope u will be very fast to advise ur son-in-laws to bar Ur children and grandchildren from visiting Ur House cos it is tantamount to them being weaklings.

I honestly do pity ur daughter in laws

@fearlessmum, you are in a very tight sitn.

African marriage is a kinda marriage that gives the husband the total right ova the wife.
Since u say u also visit his parents u can probably discuss it with his parent during ur next visit.

If there are no changes, other way u can revolt peacefully is when he says u people should go to his village, respectfully tell him don't want to go probably come up with an excuse that u re not feeling well. If he chooses to go with the children u can also stylishly cheap it in that u don't want to take ur children to his village cos of village people na both of u get the children but u need apply plenty of wisdom.

Reading through the comments in this thread is really getting me scared and worried.

I'm a man and I can neva stop my wife from visiting her parents and also stopping them from seeing their grandchildren. O wrong na.
Though there would be moderations to it which I also trust her to be reasonable with it

My major worry is I ve two younger sisters whom we re very close. I would be sad if their future husbands cut them off from bonding with us and I'm sure my mum would be sadder than I am

Hi Guys.

Just stumbled on this thread again by chance.

Quick question for those that are still following it.

Is FBN still recruiting those that participated in the 2019 AC that was held in VI or they re done with it cos I'm surprised to see it in the thread that they are still inviting people from that time to training skool

It is not a rocket science that people are always warry of helping victims of such and that is becos of our Security personnel.

It is a very difficult sitn - u and I know that if he dies in the process of taking him to the hospital trust me the helper would spend a long time in incarceration and Plenty of money that is of the person even survives it becos of the calibre of person he is.

Police would be very fast to label such person as their suspect arrested abi no b our over zealous police officers.

As much as I would like to condem the act of leaving victims of such and not helping, we also need to address the root cause which is our police officers including hospitals that would hold u down incase of any unfortunate thing

Well am now serving in lagos in a private capacity, been stationed mostly in Borno, abuja and adamawa axis an operatives.

From observation lagos does have many variables to consider when you assessing the environment.

So it's not a clear cut approach but over time we believe with better understanding and with experience brought into the folds these guys will be checked mate.

I see u re still new in Lagos.

I saw u mention intuitiiin some where in the thread.
There re times when u would ve gotten in b4 ur intuition tells u something is off and atimes it is impossible to get down.

I was once a victim in fact in my own case I sat close to the door and window wasn't wound up but immediately I entered and the veh moved, I knew something was off somewhere bùt we were already approaching 3mb and I couldn't just jump down based on my intuition.
The driver had used central lock immediately I got in.
They strtd there operation on 3mb and I was really scared not becos of my valuables but becos of my life cos they could drop me inside water and no one would ve waited to know what was going on.

The thing is make God just dey guide us and we shldnt be a victim of such

Security awareness

This is an old age tactics used by this criminals. They are now evolving by in cooperating a different look.

What people must understand is that you can never tell who's who... So taking an all out precaution is some what impossible.

What you can within your own capacity is always look to sit close to the windows be it at the back, middle and front.

Insist on having the windows down for your own convience, this act will throw the plans of the criminals into some sought of disarray because it's a new development.

If you are entering a private vehicle physically carry out inspection on the booth of the car, and doors and windows... Other passengers might be acting impatient but they will support silently with this act.

Situations requires some sought of evolution as the environment demands. Most of these car snatchers or car robbers operates by boxing the victim in the middle.

Also you study the rate at which vehicles are heading towards a destination... Therefore passengers have a limited time period they can stand.

So if you realize a passenger is standing beyond a standard time frame, walk away towards another bus stop that's outside his line of sight. Reason for this is to put him off from keep surveillance on you.

My years in the security field have made me realize majority of day to day people doesn't have any form of situation awareness. They live life the way it comes, which is not bad

But what they should realize is that Nigeria is in a bad state of security.... Just staring or looking apprehensive alone will put off the one Chance guys.

One Chance guys target those who are seriously absent minded...

Gee questions for u.

Do u reside in Lagos?
Do u work in Lagos?
Do u work on the island?
Do u take public transport to the office everyday?
How far is ur place of work to the office?
What is ur resumption time?

My questions above would know how to respond to ur safety tips.

Many of those things would not really work cos there re days u get to bus stop and u see large crowd u will not even rmba to check the color of the veh u re entering when u strt rushing to get a space in it cos u re raising against time to get to the office.
Let me just rest here

Thanks to Seun and his moderators protecting thieves!
For that very reason I'll be on every post of psalmz and joyceaile...
I'll make it my mission on nairaland.

This is the exact way Nigeria functions.
It is crystal clear that we the citizen of Nigeria are the major architect of her problem.

In Nigeria victims of abuse are always bullied by those in power except if u re also an influential person in the country.

I ve been following ur case with Psalmz from the previous thread but I neva commented on it cos I honestly felt u guys would be able to come to a round table to solve the diffs.

I was amazed when I saw Dragnet close the previous thread without any reason for doing so but on the other hand I thot the issue had been resolved and that was the reason for the closure.

I was shocked when u opened this new thread and u gave update on the issue that it was yet to be resolved and the new antics being used by Psalmz.

Looking at the issue like our dear Nation Nigeria.
I'm honestly wondering if influential people like Ishilove was the one calling out a seller on this forum, would Dragnet Ve closed the thread or banned her.
I doubt.

@Dragnet, it would be very nice if u can pls tell us the reason the previous thread was closed and why Jeff's acct was banned.
I am sure U ve ur reasons wch may not be clear to many people foll9this case cos it is clear to the blind that Psalmz played a fast one on Jeff but neva expected this outcome.

All of the things here to a none Accountant or someone that works in a corporate settings is jargons.

They are not just called Big 4 for calling sake these are companies that ve been around for decades with good records globally except in few sitns.

I see some people claiming why ve they not detected fraud.
It is not the work of the External Auditor to detect fraud but to give an opinion on the true and fairness of the Fin stmt.
They only form an opinion on what mgt presents to them however if they notice any anomalies in the course of their Audit, it is their duty to bring it to the owners of the biz

I didn't save their no. on my fone.

But the outlet is after 7 up factory if u re coming from the Lagos Ibadan express road or just in front of Billings Way junction where Lastma people always stay. The building is Eleganza building (the small one).

I got it 150 but it has a price tag of 155 but it was after plenty pleading b4 they sold it to me at that price

Hi sir, I want to get the below Gen from a sumec outlet here in Akwa Ibom and would like to confirm what the guy said. He said it a 2.9kva gen and the last price is 100k.

I think I saw this type where I got mine and I saw it for either 110 or 125k.

That of 110 was labeled 2kva but I can't remember the no. Whilst that of 125kwas labeled 2.5kva.

So if the person is an authorised dealer and it is original, I think the price is fair.
I have a feeling their prices are quite high where I got mine but I couldn't take risk cos they are trusted dealer

Surge/ starting watt is 3.5kva, while running /rated watt is 3.125kva.
How much did you get it?

Price tag 155k but I negotiated 150 after so many plea they sold it to me cos it was their manager that told them I'm was coming.

Can u pls explain the English above the starting and watt rating.

They poured 1 ltr of oando oil where I bought it but the Kazeem that helped me with the wiring was saying they shouldn't ve and ve that it is too much.

Pls advise on maintenance culture.

We currently do not ve light in my area so I would be using it on the average of 5 to 6 hrs per day until power is fully restored.

There should be other outlets on their site. It's better to even travel far not minding the cost to get an original.

Hi boss.

I eventually got the gen on Saturday evening. Got a contact of one of their dealers via their service centre.
I finally resolved to the one below due to budget constraints.

But I would like to ask is this a 2.5kva cos from their outlet they said this is 2.5kva.

Thanks bro.

Pls do u know any sure showroom where I can get the original generator around mainland side.

Their outlet (Fireman) posted on their site that is in ikeja said they are not open for now and the lady I spoke with said she is not sure when they would open.

Other dealers I am seeing are just like regular online store without showroom promising to deliver and I ve seen ur warning where u said neva buy online.

So I would appreciate if u can recommend any walk in store around

Many of those sellers don't know the difference between kva and Kw, they use them interchangeably. The Red one is 4.25kva (3400W) max while the yellow one is 3.5kva (2800W) max. Now you know the reason for the difference in price.

Thank u very much boss.

He actually reffered to the yellow one in this picture as a 2.8kva gen.
Since this particular one is a 3.5kva then I shld be fine with it right.

The pumping machine is the main issue here, you need something big to power a 1.5hp. That Elepaq 3000 looks like 2.5kva generator. With around 170k or so should get your problem solved.

Thank u bro I spoke with one of Sumec dealers today for pricing and he said a 3.4kva is 178k and 3.3 kva 160k pics attached below (tho not exactly this but he said it looks like this) respectively.

I intend going to their showroom tomorrow in ikeja to make my choice.

For ur final input, do u think a 3.3kva would serve me cos 18k plenty small

Honestly, I can't give a proper review as I haven't used it before. But for your need, go for at least a Thermocool Major (3.75kva) or Sumec SPG 3000E2

I sincerely appreciate ur response.

With the brand and kva u re recommendingbit loos like it is way above my budget.

I ve cancelled AC from it patapata but the pumping machine and oda appliances still stays but won't be used concurrently.

Is there any gen that can work for my budget (150k).
I spoke with an engineer b4 stumbling on this thread so he recommended Constant ELePaQ 3000.
What's ur take on that and do u know any where around mainland (Ketu) that I can get original

Intending usage is to power a TV, two fans, small freezer, 1.5 hp pumping machine, washing machine and an inverter AC not sure of the hp of the AC but the picture is attached below.

Pls note that all of this items won't b running concurrently but just a picture of what I intend using the gen 4

Or can u recommend a generator for me that can suit my usage/budget

Whether that or not engage a lawyer but if practically impossible try go get contact of ur acct officer or a banker in the bank seek their opinion on what to do and ensure u do that fast cos delay may be more dangerous.
