Bravetunde:Frustration will kill you if you don't take it easy. |
- He started his campaign on a wrong-footing using religion - a smart person should have known that doing so would pitch other groups against you. Even though we are not godly in Nigeria, we are sensitive to religious issues. The north which is largely Muslim is seeing him as a Christian candidate - a label you dont want to have in the north. With the Muslims representing close to 60-70% of the northern population. it would be easier for the camel to pass through the eye of a needle than Obi winning this election. - Obi's supporters who are largely from his tribe have also made him an ethnic candidate. The way they shout and make noise about his candidacy on social media and abuse any other people not supporting their views makes it look more like an ethnic agenda than any other thing. Other ethnic groups are seeing this and wondering why they should not support a candidate from their own tribe too. - Obi's lack of legacy in the state he ruled for 8 years. He has nothing he can reference or allude to as a show of his competence and capacity other than the holier-than-thou appearance and messages - e.g. I don't give shishi, I didnt take pension, etc. |
fredoooooo:The best speech... It's always good to support performers. Selling them is always very easy |
AtikuOkowa:Frustration... Won't you be happy if he is on your side? Rivers is not Obidient - simple! 1m votes lost to Tinubu. |
XerXers:Lalong can call their bluff and nothing would happen to him. They have no right to harass him or do anything to him - who are they and what authority do they have? A set of lazy people cramming the Bible (a book containing nothing more than the stories of how illiterate herders of middle east lived) and living off the sweat of others. Worst case they would say he should not attend their association or church or shrine again. But he is a politician - he needs them and won't do anything that can rob him of their votes and that of their gullible followers. |
You can see the responses from the villagers who want one of their own to rule Nigeria by force. Let's see if your candidate would even come 3rd in the election. Sebi, igbos votes alone, and that of the few bigots in SW and north can make your candidate the president. Continue... |
donaldking100:Shut up... dumbo! People that should be in the village chasing lizards around are also contributing to discussions by civilized people. Is it stated anywhere in our constitution/act the uniform/garb that can only be used by bishops/evangelists/pastors? |
Again, Obi's supporters have demonstrated the trademark of their origin and proved to the world their very low level of civility. At this age and time, we have seen people mobbing a man for exercising his fundamental human rights of association. This happened in an igbo-dominated market in Abuja, not in Okija or any of the villages in the eastern forest of Nigeria. Nigerians should pay attention to this and all those illiterate religious bigots in the north and SW who think the coming election is all about the religion of the contenders should have a rethink now. The day you be mobbed for a simple dissenting view by the same set of illiterate traders from Okija you are supporting will soon come. |
Yesterday, I saw a number of pictures of a man referred to as a “Fake Bishop”, who is also a plumber “apprehended” presumably by supporters of Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi in a market in Dei Dei neighbourhood of Abuja. His offence? He was accused of appearing as a “fake bishop” at the unveiling event of Bola Tinubu’s VP, Alhaji Shettima also in Abuja weeks ago. I was particularly shocked that some highly respected persons on Facebook/WhatsApp and elsewhere celebrated this mob justice against this particular Nigerian. Since the advent of this election cycle we’ve seen and observed a heightened level of harassment of citizens via death threats, arson threats, verbal and now physical abuse against those who happen not to support Peter Obi’s candidacy. A Catholic Church pastored by Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka known as Adoration Ministry was a victim of this mob action, Femi Kuti’s African Shrine in Lagos was at the receiving end of arsonists over his refusal to support Mr. Obi for President. We’ve seen supporters brandishing guns and threatening people who might not support Obi’s candidacy. A former media assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri complained consistently that the life of his one year old daughter was repeatedly threatened. Obi’s supporters are not alone in this unconscionable act, a disabled Obi supporter was reportedly beaten for displaying his paraphernalia. However, Obi’s campaigners have demonstrated the most amount of intolerance and harassment of his opponents. The latest mobbing of the Bishop/plumber is barbaric, unacceptable and criminal. I condemn these conducts and urge Nigerians to stand by their rights to choose their leaders without pandering to fear, harassment and threats by anyone. No set of persons or groups should be allowed to ride roughshod on anyone simply because they refuse to follow their preferred candidate(s). It is DEMOCRACY, founded and built fundamentally on the freedom to choose. #WeCantContinueLikeThis |

The dumbos from okija will post pictures of even federal government roads in anambra as obi's projects. Today, Soludo is begging lenders for 100B naira loan to run the state despite the investments and transformation of anambra by obi ![]() |
Validated:Another jail breaker from Okija shrine... electionery ![]() |
OLAADEX:Obi, the noise maker, wasn't invited |
onez:When was this one released from Okija shrine? |
Obi and his zombies won't like this ![]() |
Demolakay:Shouldn't you therefore be grateful to the people who created a conducive place you could to run to from your erosion-ravaged eastern villages/forests. If we have not governed well in Lagos, would you be here? You guys would learn a lesson in the forthcoming election. A lesson you would never forget. |
CoolAmbience:He would share a federal government road now... those guys are dumbos from the south eastern forest. |
Yorubalandlord:The blood is igbo na... Omo ale Yoruba |
rusher14:When their leaders take their shares, nothing is left to do anything. Soludo has just applied to borrow N100B - may be with that, there will be enough money to share as usual and also build some mushroom healthcenters for them. |
ybn1306:Who is the competent candidate? See my response to a mumu like you up there. |
Chinonye2022:And who is the competent candidate? He who asserts must prove. If you say someone is competent, be ready to tell us how you came to that conclusion. Don't come and tell me someone who can't provide correct statistics and numbers is competent. A man who deliberately lied that the $12 dollars of the state he invested in his family business is now $100m or didn't know the value of his not-well-thought-through investment of state's fund is now only worth $3m. Yeyenatu... |
Chinonye2022:Who cares about the religion of a president? Is presidency now to be rotated based on religion and not region again? Is presidency a worship center? Start using your brain the bigot. |
NaijaRoyalty:Go and ask those who tried it in 2019. Im sure they learned some lessons. This time is different. A son of the soil is contesting. |
Tinubu about to be invited to Rivers for the grand finale ![]() |
NaijaRoyalty:You have been warned... Most of you guys won't see the result of the election. I tell you. You better go to your village to vote |
He will be disqualified by INEC very soon. Campaign hasn't started. Why is the mumu (the Igbo presidential candidate) in a hurry? What's he afraid of? |
Eriokanmi:Who and you in Lagos? |
wiseoneking:It is you and your family good things would stay far from. I'm fine already by God's grace and have many good things around me. We built Lagos and made it enviable and livable for everybody including the akpu-filled heads. One of the akpu-filled heads (the ingrates) is here raining curses on himself and his family thinking he is cursing his benefactors. If we are not living fine and don't have good things around us, would you and your cursed tribe have the opportunity to make a decent living here? |
najeem4reall:Tinubu rigged it for APC ![]() Oya, apu-heads over to you |
hohafrank:Even me here won't allow an Obi poster on my street in Lagos let alone a billboard. It would be pulled down immediately. Apu-filled heads wouldnt allow such things to happen in their villages except an Asari Dokubo is the APC party leader there. So, why should I allow them to litter my street with those dirty Peter Obi's pictures? |
Kurutinto:Before nko? It's tribal and you igbos (ingrates) made it so with your bigotry and primitive reasoning. If not, why should an average igbo man prefer an Obi, who has done little or nothing to lift you and your entire tribe up, over a Tinubu who created a conducive environment for you to live, trade, and become part of the government in a Yoruba land. So, the election is tribal since all igbos have decided to sheepishly follow their tribesman. When they lose, they would turn back and start shouting marginalization. |
etrouble:He rejected two plots of land allocated to him when he was governor ![]() And they have a letter from Obi rejecting the allocation. That's what their messiah built when he was governor |
