ezegold4we:He kept N75B away from the impoverished state that didn't an airport, no standard road with traffic lights, and no hospitals that even Obi can use for ordinary headache treatment. These people are dumb. |
seunmsg:They need psycho evaluation ![]() |
It is clear Obi does not have the capacity and competence to lead a country. - his performance as a governor of a small state (Anambra) was abysmal and he left office with nothing that could be referenced or talked about - Workers went on strike for almost 13 months when he was governor in the small Anambra state - He corruptly enriched himself and his family by investing state funds in his family business - Obi turned out to be the only contestant with pandora papers allegations hanging on his neck. He operated secret accounts even when he was governor of Anambra - He kept the state funds in his bank even when the state did not have standard roads, schools, hospitals, etc. - He is reputed for throwing around unverified and wrong statistics/numbers to deceive gullible Nigerians - He lied that the $20m dollars of Anambra fund he invested in a brewery was worth $100m dollars - it was a deliberate lie even when he knew the value of the investment was only about $5m. - Obiano just accused Obi of demanding a bribe of N7b for installing him as his successor. - Obiano is clearly more competent than Obi. There were no traffic lights in Anambra until Obiano came. There was no airport in Anambra until Obiano came. What else can we call Obi other than a failure? |
SpecialAdviser:It's a lie. The PDP governorship ticket in Osun state is Christian/Christian and Muslims are making noise about it. The Christendom should check itself and stop heating up the polity with unnecessary distractions. I keep wondering what exactly we are worshiping with so much hatred in our hearts for others. What has been the impact of the nonsense called religion on the way we run the country and our private morality? Definitely zero. Until we follow the Rwanda's steps on these worship/business centers and their owners, we won't make progress. The earlier the government clampdown heavily on trouble makers, the better for Nigeria. |
As criticism especially from the Christian population across the country continues to trail the choice of a Muslim VP from the north, some of us have refused to be emotional about the APC's decision. This is a contest for votes whichever angle you look at it from. Even the regional consideration also has a vote-gathering perspective to it. Therefore, any contestant will do what is necessary and go for a combination that would deliver the maximum number of votes. This is what Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential flagbearer of the APC has done. Tinubu is from the south and therefore would only pick his VP from the north to align with our political tradition. Since 1999, the Christian population (north and south) has largely voted for anything other than the APC. The situation is even worse in the north - it has always been PDP anywhere you see a sizable Christian population. If northern Christians would not vote for the APC as they have demonstrated since 1999, choosing a northern Christian as APC's VP would be of no electoral value to the APC even within the small northern Christian population. In view of the suspicion between the northern Muslims and Christians, it will also be hard for a northern Christian VP to get the support of the northern Muslim electorates. Picking a northern Christian, therefore, would be double jeopardy for the APC. The party would lose the votes of both the northern Christians and northern Muslims. To this end, the only ticket that can give Tinubu victory is Muslim/Muslim. If you think otherwise, put forward your argument. |
christistruth01:I agree 100%. The first standard road in Osun with drainage was built by Aregbesola. He opened up Osun state and embarked on projects the state had never seen before. The people of Anambra and Obi supporters don't know what is called development/performance in office. Ask them, they will say Obi rejected two plots of land allocated to him. That's Obi's record in Anambra. A man who was collecting N400m monthly as security allowance and also had millions of dollars stashed away in secret accounts (thanks to pandora papers). What does he need two plots of land in Anambra for? |
Liebermantic:The thread is Obi vs Fashola/Ambode. I didn't see in your post any mention of Obi's performance in Anambra compared to that of Fashola. |
Thanksful:Focus on Obi vs Fashola/Ambode. I didn't see any mention of Obi in your post. Should we assume Obi did nothing that can be referenced and therefore not even in the class of Fashola and Ambode? |
christistruth01:Obi can't stand Aregbesola - i know that for sure. Aregbesola's legacies are there for all to see. - the model schools in all local governments. Can we ask Obi's supporters to show us primary/secondary schools built by Obi? - the first flyover in Osun state @Gbongan. Anambra didn't have any flyover until Obiano time. Even, no traffic lights in Anambra until Obiano time. Obi is not only incompetent, he doesn't even know what performance is. |
lathrowinger:Not sure dumbos understand this... |
Zikojukwu:Yes, you're right, he can be president... As a matter of fact, he is the next president. Accept this fact and have peace. |
All this while we have been comparing Peter Obi with Tinubu. I don't think this comparison is fair since Peter Obi and Tinubu are not in the same class considering Tinubu's exposure, experience, competence, capacity, and popularity. However, when you begin to look at the performance of Fashola or Ambode Lagos, I also wonder what the people of Anambra and those supporting Peter Obi have to say about the capacity and competence of Obi? If you are provided with a choice between Obi and Fashola or Ambode, which one would you pick? Oya... |
Deltawarri:Has Tinubu won the election? This religious bigots should not set this country on fire please. |
Zoharariel:When certificate allegations are no longer tenable, we move to drug... ![]() Your next president is Tinubu. Accept it now and have peace. |
IgOga:At least the pandora man saw another part of the zoo today. Congratulations! |
He should share the details of his investigation with us here and I wonder why it took almost 20 years to conclude the yeye investigation. |
PaChukwudi44:4000? Your glasses dey multiply numbers? |
HIGHESTPOPORI:He will be defeated even in SE... |
EvangDrGeo:If he did anything monumental, it can't be controversial. Enumerate his achievements here... Please don't type he paid salary and pension oooo as achievements. |
Toluwanise247:A man with woman voice, poor spoken english and a thick igbo accent. Speaking among world leaders? |
XerXers:Which plenty people? They are not up to 1000 there plus the igbos that followed him Lagos and other neighboring states. If na lie, wait till saturday and see how many votes LP will get. And this despite a son of the soil (Lasun) contesting. In 2023, there won't even be anybody to carry the flag of LP in Osun. |
Focusmind:How did you come to this warped conclusion? How is Obi who couldn't excel or do anything meaningful in small Anambra is the best among the three? |
How will noise makers do that? |
Abdu81:Which kind rally be this one? Mega rally abi? I hope Lafun collected money from Obi for this birthday party sha... Very unorganized/unserious set of people... Only making noise on social media. |
Has it crossed your mind that we have only three major political parties in the coming elections? 1. APC - All Progressive Congress 2. PDP - People Democratic Party 3. iPDP - Igbos People Democratic Party ![]() The APC has a detribalized, broad-minded democrat as its presidential flag bearer. The PDP has a desperado who wants to be president at all cost - he has been contesting since 2007 for presidency. The iPDP has an ethnic champion with a parochial worldview as its presidential candidate. He is reputed for deliberately spewing wrong statistics to deceive Nigerians and his gullible followers. He was also a running mate to the desperado (2) in 2019. His supporters are happy with christian/christian gov/deputy gov in their various states but now disturbing the peace of the nation over a muslim/muslim ticket at the national level. |
nadisms:Northern christians too are insignificant. This was tested in Kaduna and you have seen the result. |
BigSarah:Tinubu, when he was governor commenced the ongoing transformation of Lagos. - He came up with a master plan for Lagos. This is like a design to guide the development and coordinate development efforts. - He worked out a way to improve the revenue of Lagos state from 450m monthly to tens of billions monthly - He commenced the infrastructure rehabilitation of Lagos - Oregun Road was turned into a dual carriageway, Lagos highland roads and many others were rehabilitated. - He built a number of general hospitals across Lagos and equip them - He launched model schools which essentially modernizes the school - He commenced the payment of WAEC fees for students by Lagos students - He started the one-day governor award for the best performing student in Lagos to encourage And many others. |
I really fear for this country. A country of people who focus more on public morality than private morality. A country where even if you are a criminal at night, just be a mosque or churchgoer in the day and your sins are washed away. A country where even the youths are now more concerned about the religion of politicians than the capacity of politicians. I see a very bleak future with the kind of young people who are supposed to be educated and should be asking more serious questions but would rather focus on primordial discussions. Questions around the economy, security, education, infrastructure, etc are jettisoned for the faith of the politicians. Our youths are more concerned about religion as if elections are for electing religious leaders. Given the perilous state of the economy and other aspects of our lives, what should be the priority of Nigerians at this time? Capacity or religion? |
ElSudani:Yes oooo |
Adexxi:Abi ooo. Someone in Anambra talking about a place and a people he knows nothing about |
Liar...
