Any advice on use of VPN before downloading movies? I wanted to download a movie on Netnaija but it asked me to download a Free Super Z-VPN before the download continues? Any pros or cons to this?

I don't think you need a VPN to download from Netnaija. VPN is used mostly to mask your IP to able to download stuffs like torrent or access content that normally wouldn't be available in your location. If you are using a Company WiFi/Broadband tho, i will suggest you get a VPN just to be safe, but if you are on your personal pc or phone with data service from a telco in Nigeria, getting a VPN to download from Netnaija will be an overkill so i suggest you don't.

That scene where Invicible asked his father what his mother meant to him was epic. His reply gave me goosebumps.

She's like a pet to me

The scene was so so epic... ...That last episode was the best finale to a season i have seen of a show in recent time tbh..so so top tier.

They are making "Don't Breathe 2"

Bonkers

Nickshrapnel:
Definitely F4

AnfieldFan:

Forget marvel is boss!!!

That cap scene with the hammer remains one of my all time fav scene in a movie.

This is the vid i was talking about.

Forget , Marvel sabi work!

That new Vid from Marvel Studios is hard af!. The first step in making a successful bankable franchise is proper planning. These people have planned all the way to 2025!.

iheanyi40:
but there's a version of 9t that has 6gb ram and 128storage

Yes and that particular variant has a second space function. I don't Xaomi Nigeria retailed that version here, but i know some sellers on the sellers thread has that variant.

Sunkyphil:
wen i was using my former phone i used it twice i had to go back to delete it when my phone started freezing

Exactly why i think Xaomi has started removing the function from their Mid range devices. Second space would function properly if the phone has at least 6gb of ram and 128gb base storage and it should be at least UFS 2.1.

iheanyi40:
no second space? Nawa o,was considering getting d phone even without notification light and now second space?

To me..second space isn't such a deal breaker. Most people most of the time use this feature once and never go back to it.

Trying to finish Handmaids Tale.
Couple of episodes made me sleep. Lol. Show may have lost some steam but yeah.. season 4 is nearly here.

The first 3 episodes of S4 is out. It is a good show but it's an extreme slow burner, so patience is required.

About the Oscars. . . I don't understand why Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield were both put into the supporting male role. If they both played supporting roles, so who played the lead roles in the movie?

I'm of the opinion that after the excellent performance of Kaluuya in Judas and the Black Messiah, they couldn't afford not rewarding him with an Oscar due to the terrific and brilliant performance of Hopkins in The Father or vice versa, hence placing him the in Best Actor in Supporting Role category.

It's all good. Happy for him.

WB feared the odds of a black person wining an oscar in a leading role was too high. Instead they pit the two of them in a supporting actor category which they both stood a better chance of winning and it paid off.

Then again it shows how "rotten" the Oscar has become, they are all for womans right, sexual abuse, LGBT rights even mental health but when it comes to black rights? Mba.

"The Father (2020).

As Anthony (ironically played by Anthony Hopkins) begins to lose his grip on reality, falling into the ebb of onset dementia, it becomes difficult to discern what is real or not..

With the support cast of the brilliant Olivia Colman made for a emotional laden watch but ultimately satisfying in the end.

And the Academy nom Anthony Hopkins got for this is deserving, it was some of the best acting i have seen of late.

8/10.

I rightly called this!. I knew this was an Oscar winning performance...Well done Anthony Hopkins.

The Clockwork Girl

God, I regretted the 30mins (Yes, 30mins cause I was just forwarding the movie anyhow) I spent watching this shitty animation. -10/10

And yet you rated it 10/10?

Happy birthday to this legend, AL PACINO. He turns 81 today.

Let's celebrate him by naming our favourite movies of his. Mine is Irishman and Carlito's way. What's yours?

Wow! How time flies.

My best flick of his still remains "Scent of a woman".

Destination Wedding - 9.5/10

Brilliant, just brilliant!

"John Wick" meets "the politically correct lawyer"

The punches hit harder than John Wick ever could.

A spoken word is indeed sharper than a sword.

Do you believe that there's somebody for everyone?

Better, I believe there's nobody for anyone.

Madness.

Absolutely loved the dialogues in this flick so much that i didn't even want the movie to end.

"Promising Young Woman" (2020)

Started out really promising but quickly fell side way. The acting from the lead was solid but for the life of me, the direction of the movie was absymal with so many unrealistic scenerio not fit for a movie potentially carrying such a powerful message as sexual abuse.

Can't phantom why it had such high praises, most probably because of the times we are in. Ultimately it felt like watching a very bad case of "I spit on your grave" without the flair of the latter but rather leaving a very bitter taste.

4/10.

Beorn:
No. It wasn't 100% John Wick-esque. I'd say 50%. The similarity mostly to Wick was that he single-handedly took on the mob for large parts of the movie.

He had a family, John Wick didn't. He even had in-laws. If I give more differences, I'd be spoiling the movie.

Ok Thanks Man..and also thanks for not spoiling it

Any idea when the famed "theatre week" will start?

Beorn:
Nobody (2021). 8/10

What an action-packed movie. After few minutes of character building, the rest na gbas gbos. No dull moment. Looking forward to part 2 already.

was it 100% "John wick esque"?

This Lawan might be the most ineffective senate President of all time. This man does PMB's bidding 100% of the time. Don't think he has passed any meaningful bid since he assumed leadership of the house, anytime he's in the news, it is usually for one obnoxious rubbish...tueh.

The Interpreter -7/10
A political thriller,
Centered around a UN Interpreter..
Quite tense

Good movie from the golden age of movies from 2000 to 2010.

Btw you have been on a solid roll of good movies of late, from "Children of Men" to this... impressive... keep it up.
