Kaycee7: abduleez1:Lmaoo..Pastor, Dinosaur, Prostitute, ninjas...just one movie... absolute bonkers ![]() |
Achilles100:Didn't Prison Break go pear shaped after S2? GOT had at least 5 very good seasons and BB had at least 3 very good seasons. Even "24" is clear of Prison Break if we are keeping it a buck. |
The plot of this movie is so chaotic that it's doing my head in and the fact that it's an actual movie makes it more funnier ![]()
|
abduleez1:lmaoo you no get chill at all ..Well shows like these have their target demographic which are teens and it's a hit with them. |
Kaycee7:Here is a screenshot of the reply i made to Gmajor about some of my critic of the movie.
|
abduleez1:Lmao...Gbam..you totally hit the nail on the head. Any big studio still holding on to a movie for thearitcal beacuse it's expecting a bumper pay day fit dey wait till 2030. ![]() |
Kaycee7:Really? I could write an essay on this, but clearly nothing more i can say that would sway your views and it's very okay. |
Kaycee7:This wasn't a review or "take"? Well i took it as a review. I think we are at an impasse here. It's a classic case of agree to disagree.
|
abduleez1:you say wentin? She was part of a team of 3 that wrote the move, singled her out for criticism cuz she was also the director.
|
Kaycee7:The problem is larger than the "weak fight scene". A decent writing and screenplay would have covered all this but Patty Jenkins can't write to save her life. |
Kaycee7:Yeah, a handful of redditors defended the movie but those bashing it were more and that is saying something.. hypothetically speaking if 100 people saw the movie, 80 said it was terrible, and 20 said it was decent, what will be the general conclusion? At the bolded. I know you gave a review on here about it pages ago, but i have forgotten your verdict, so i ask for all intent and purpose, what's your genuine take on #WW84? One of the best superhero movie you have seen? Decent enough to recommend to someone off the top of your head? I would really like to know. |
The release date for this has been pushed more times than i can actually count. These people think Rona will magically just "disappear", China which is one of movie's biggest market has had another outbreak in recent days so i think is actually time to learn and do things "within" the virus. Heck, these people might actually be running at a loss running promo alone for a movie that was supposed to be released as far back as 2019. The model adopted by Warner Bros of making theatrical release were possible and SVOD is the best bet for now of making any decent money of movies, might not break even but it's the sign of the times and there won't be a total loss. To think this model was heavily criticised last year.

Beorn:I have tried to look at it different ways and everytime i come to conclusion #WW84 was a hot mess and the ratings unilateral agree, even on popular forums like Reddit, it is a general conclusion that it was terrible, it's only here i keep seeing praise for it...well different strokes for different folks i guess. |
abdurrazaq:Don't even know if this is sarcasm but i for one could have asked for a better sequel. |
abduleez1:Good one...i will actually like to see her in more flicks because i think she has the range... Make e no come be like say na only fine face we know her for ![]() |
johnsmith5:since the movie was about "deafness", they really had to make a kill in sound editing and I think they nailed it 10/10 and Riz Ahmed was amazing, picked up some awards already for the role. |
TheKingIsHere:Yes Disney+ "only" A-cards are classic cartoons, marvel and star wars, pray tell what are HBO Max's "A-cards" to rival this. |
TheKingIsHere:First off, I said the HBO max originals since it's lunch has been below par bar "Raised by the Wolves" meaning it "Raised by the Wolves" did fairly ok. I tried another original on their line up "Love life" by Anna Kendrick and it was sappy as hell, the few ones i have enjoyed like "Frayed", "Pure" , "Trigonometry" etc were done by smaller production companies, HBO Max just sneaked up to get rights to them. Like i was telling abduleez1 yesterday, it's not even a fair comparism atm because HBO Max hasn't even lunched outside the US, watching it outside the US will most likely require a paid VPN , who wants to go thru that stress with their "current" weak line up?. You and abduleez1 are gauging HBO max on shows to come, as of today, do they have the shows to compete with Netflix and Disney+ or even Hulu ( Disney owns part of this too)? The answer is simply No. So it's best to better wait for these shows to lunch on HBO max before we bring up this argument again for now...Disney+ and Netflix are clear ahead. HBO max has some "heavy weight" coming up ngl, even Warner Bros releasing their future big buck movies on there is massive but Disney sabi sell entertainment die so let's wait and see. |
Gmajor:it's the animation. |
abduleez1:That's why it can't be a proper comprism with those available elsewhere cuz it wouldn't be fair...Those two are above it for now. |
abduleez1:in United states, and "Wonder Woman 84" been top of "SVOD" proves my point. Warner Bros releasing their Big buck movies exclusively on HBO max to push it's agenda...go to reddit...most people copped HBO Max in December to see #WW84. |
abduleez1:lol me comparing it to Appletv cuz Netflix and Disney+ are above for now.. Netflix have a worldwide tentacles now, popping up everywhere, e.g i entered Netflix Turkey one day and i was impressed, HBO Max doesn't have this reach yet. For a large catalogue, Disney+ will still outpace HBO Max cuz if you do a poll on which originals from yester years between these two people want to see, i am 90% sure people will choose Disney+. Netflix obviously can't be in this talk cuz it doesn't have a big entertainment brand spanning many number of years backing it. The originals HBO max has been pushing out since it's lunch have been below par bar "Raised by the Wolves", that's why they quickly buy rights to shows made by smaller production companies. I stand to be corrected "The Mandalorian" topples any original HBO Max has to offer since it's lunch. |
DandeNumeruno:Netflix just announced they are releasing an original movie each week for the next 12 months so they are investing serious money but they keep increasing their sub prices, Disney+ on the other hand launched as a premium service and they have quite a number of originals planned for the next five year plus they have a large catalogue spanning more than 40 years, so these two are going to be the "Giants" going forward... Don't even think HBO Max have enough originals to match these two, expect movies exclusively release to them once in a while by Warner Bros... their mate is Appletv for now i think. |
DandeNumeruno:lol yeah, I forgot about that, some servers can be frustratingly slow but that's a viable option for those looking for direct download without ads. |
Bigredmachine:Then you are planning to eat your cake and have it. There's absolutely no site that will give you movies for free without any form of ads. Ads is worth pays for and keeps the sites up and running..your best bet is to find ad bypassers or use Telegram. |
Bigredmachine:Netflix, Amazon Prime, or HBO Max...Make your pick. |
DandeNumeruno:That's the plain truth man...the dangers of been falsely accused. Liked how they didn't "sugarcoat" the ending. |
"The Hunt aka Jagten" (2012). Don't think i have seen a bad Mads Mikkelsen movie and this didn't disappoint, after seeing "Another Round" (2020) last week, i remembered i had this in the archive. It tells a story of a kindergarten teacher in a closely knit Danish community accused of sexual abuse, it gets even more complicated and believeble because the allegation was made by a child, and there's a notion that "children don't lie", Mads Mikkelsen character was swiftly ostracized and stripped of everything he holds dear, even when he was absolved of the crime, the final act shows that you're never really "absolved" or "free" after an accusation of sexual abuse, false or not...that stain lasts forever. A masterpiece 9/10.

"Pieces of a Woman" 2020 Wow..This expertly told the story of how a woman tried to deal with one of the most devastating "loss" ever and Vanessa Kirby delivered. The movie was an emotional chore and it ticked the right boxes for me ...good dialogue, excellent secenry and a small cast that actually know what the were doing and the final act of the movie was most satisfying to say the least, the only blemish I had was how they dealt with Shia Labeouf's character. 8/10.
