IngeniousLeez:Himself and Matthew McConaughey won for the same movie. Best actor and Best supporting actor. |
armadeo:Hulk?!.in top 5? perosnal list abi? Cuz...I rate Thor personally over him. The first 2 Thor movies in the MCU timeline are my personal faves, i dey rinse them steady, I can't even remember any glimpse from seeing the "Hulk" standalone movie or will even like to see them make another one 😩 |
abduleez1:Bro, the pressure! Every little detail about it, will be scrutinized....I have already seen on YT, this morning, some Video Editors and CC guys, are already dissecting the color grading and what not... like chill! 😩. You have put it succinctly, if this movie fails, people might not only lose their jobs, but their careers as well... simply put. |
abduleez1:Bro....You no go like rest? 😭 Your last review was 1/10 abi, this one na 2/10 😩😩....e b like na mid you pack put for phone 😂😂 |
BlackManta:I don't know if this is the final cut, but it looks so clean, production wise, doesn't have that clunky vibe that most CBM tends to have these days. Of course, how good is the other CGI and VFX heavy input to judge properly, but this has the ambience of a true blockbuster going by this sneak peak. Plus, just clocked that this has a lot, riding on it. Superman is like in the top 10 most popular CB characters ever, if not Top 5 sef, so this movie has little wiggle room to fail 🤐 |
abduleez1:lol She is a tier C actress at best and her filmography is littered with poor critically acclaimed flicks, i mean this chick has "Deep Water" and "Ghosted" in a her resume, both these films were rated as one of the worse films of the year, the respective year they were out. I truly haven't seen a consistent set of good performance, that will make me salivate in anticipation for any of her upcoming flicks. If she really is good, then she should start pushing herself and leave her comfort zone o. Plus, the oscar nom i think was just customary, because it was a biopic of one the greatest IT girl ever in showbiz, the movie itself was critically in the gutter 😩. |
John Wick 5? A new Final Destination? A new Conjuring? Once upon a time in Hollywood Sequel?? There is this current knack by Hollywood exec, not letting franchises go, i know it's good for thier business side of things but none of this invokes genuine excitement, from me i must say. At this point i ain't even looking for original IP, just make an exciting movie, that isn't based on a character or story you have rinsed over and over again. John Wick's last good outing was Part 2, lets be real here, part 3 and 4, looked like one long azz gameplay ripped from the PS5, and this guy that is supposed to be dead, is coming back for a part 5 to most likely do the exact same thing?? Naaah man... I'm out ✌🏿....and grandpa Jackie Chan in 2025 is crazy work. I looked at a list of films from 2014 recently, and i fell to my knees...we might never get this era of films back 😭😭
|
abduleez1:Another actress coasting by with Beauty tax.... can't act to save her life 😩😩 |
cao:Mickey 17 is available on VOD this week i think, and it's the kind of movie, you definitely want to see at home. |
Beorn:Karate Kid in 2025 uno😩. But i am sat!!!!! 👀 |
abduleez1:So we should keep pretending like David Zaslav isn't hell bent on running WB to the ground??. Original IP movies were never movie magnets, but studios still take the risk to make them because of their special place in film culture and are even likely to win the studios awards and get critically acclaimed. They even require way less investment to make! 🤦🏿♂️ |
Kaycee7:Oh Lord, do not let me live all my life in Ikorodu🙏🏿😩. There are few IMAX theatres here, but absolutely no way Filmhouse is screening this 😭. The absolute disadvantage in living in a 3rd world hell hole, you just missed out of life's pleasures. On the plus side, A IMAX release means an improved quality will soon sail the high seas ✌🏿 |
The Office (US) – Season 9 (2012) Sitcom Royalty! My knack for holding on to the finales of sitcoms I love is no secret, I just can't bear to see them end. I held off on finishing The Office for as long as I could, but since last week marked 20 years since Season 1 aired, I knew it was finally time to let it go. For years, people recommended it to me, but I overlooked it because I found the first season hard to get through. Then again, this is common with many sitcoms as they try to establish their footing. I'm glad I stuck with it. The Office isn't just a workplace comedy as the title suggests, it's a masterclass in character-driven storytelling, dry wit, and the absurdity of everyday life. At its heart was Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, an inept and often unbearable boss whose performance was both cringeworthy and endearing at the same time. Then there were Jim and Pam, with arguably the best "will-they-won't-they" in sitcom history. Their chemistry was so good, I found myself wondering how they ended up marrying different people in real life. But The Office isn’t just about these three characters. The show had an incredible supporting cast, each with their own quirks and charms, making you believe this dysfunctional yet lovable group existed beyond the screen. The mockumentary format is what truly makes it work. The deadpan stares into the “camera” during awkward moments make you feel like you're right there in the office with them. And the beauty of the show lies in its ability to balance humor with heartfelt moments. It’s ridiculous, but also strangely relatable. The show loses some steam in its later seasons, but even at its weakest, The Office remains a comfort watch, a show that perfectly captures the chaos, boredom, and occasional brilliance of everyday work life. It's funny, heartwarming, frustrating (in a good way), and weirdly profound. Even though I just finished it last night, there's this strange emptiness....a void that makes me want to start it all over again from Season 1. It has officially entered my list of top sitcoms, which currently goes, in descending order Scrubs (2001–2009) Two and a Half Men (2001–2012) The Office (US) (2005–2013) Seinfeld (1989–1998) Everybody Hates Chris (2005–2009) Parks and Recreation (2009–2015) Friends (1994–2004) Sitcoms like this are becoming a dying breed. Showrunners don’t seem to have time for these 21-minute, 22-episode gems anymore. Only Abbott Elementary is currently keeping this genre alive, and I really appreciate them for it. Anyways… this is an easy recommend. ✌🏿 8/10

majesticguy:Oh okay... thanks for the feedback🙌🏿 |

Studio Ghibli saw all the AI gobshite ripp off going about and they decided to remind the few of us left, what true art feels like.....am up like maddddd 😩✌🏿.... [quote author=OhBritannia post=134782992]lol Rumour? Now, except the plastic surgeon who did said surgery personally called you and gave you deets, aren't you basing your "truth" from what you read online? Lastly, looks matters in Hollywood as a woman, whether you like it or not, she will not be called for some roles that requires beauty and that's for certain.I fully understand the role that "beauty dynamics" play, not just in Hollywood, but showbiz in general but it isn't always a straightforward route to stardom, there also have to be visible talent. I cite your example, Gal Gadot is one of the most well looking woman the industry have ever seen, but she is a terrible actress, and as such isn't exactly at the pinnacle of her career, i personally wouldn't bother with any movie she's in, her recent flick is literally the lowest rated movie ever in IMDB, partly due to her sloppy acting. Another example is Alexandra Daddario, this one is even more beautiful than Gal, but she somehow is a worse actress than Gal, at the same time, and she is barely scraping by, as a teir c actress. No serious studio is pouring a large budget on these ones just because they are beautiful. Scarlett Johansson has a flourishing career cuz, she has talent as well as beauty. Some actress that doesn't meet the high beauty standards of the industry, but with sheer talent, has reached the heights of their career and are Tier A actress or high ranking Tier B actress, i mean Lupita Nyong'o has an Oscar, she has been in the MCU, a successful horror franchise and a Christopher Nolan movie!. My case in point, if Erin Moriarty doesn't get roles anymore, it isn't because she is now ugly or have a botched face. This is not about hate or judging anybody, this is about saying the truth on how the industry works. While i totally get your point, These things aren't always black and white. Chadwick Bossman was damn near bullied for his fray look just immediately after playing a beefed up black superhero, only for said industry and people to find out later that he was battling Stage 4 cancer, and died shortly afterwards, and said people came around with their fake tributes and all. You don't know how the shoe pinches someone, till yourself has walked in the same shoe ✌🏿 |
OhBritannia:This dirty rumor was started by a Fox reporter and it exposed her to extreme bullying, that she had leave social media at a time, and she denied it and claimed that the changes were due to weight loss and natural aging. And even if she did get plastic surgery, what right have anyone to police her body? It will totally be her choice, and i for one, have stopped judging the choices people make, i may never understand them, but I can't hate the person for it, life is already tough enough, just let people live and let them do what makes them happy as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others. If she never gets another "big role" again as you claim, then trust me it wouldn't be because she got ( or didn't get) plastic surgery...your fave big Hollywood celeb get plastic surgeries all the time, and it is not such of a big deal. Moreover, she played "Starlight" in one of the biggest and most successful CB adaptations of all time, how many actress can genuinely have to this clout?.. Let people live man and Stephanie Johansson kwa?! Who is even that? 😭😭 |
majesticguy:so watch or skip? |
Tekenny:what context is this your "best"?, cuz any phone under 180k, you shouldn't be expecting too much. You can get the Redmi 14C for under that price, Infinix, Tecno and Itel, also have offerings around that price point, that's if your expectations are on the ground. These phones will be good for normal day to day tasks, no heavy lifting, light gaming etc... |
abduleez1:I for say make you even skip that S2 jump straight to this one, as you wouldn't miss much 😩 |
Baddestguyp:I think they are still keeping to the trope that most "Superheroes don't kill their enemies", But with all the violence and carnage, it has been clear that this isn't a Family or PG 13 show, so they don't need to be keeping to an unwritten rule..It would be it will be interesting to see how they change that concept |
Invincible S3 (2021) After mouthing off that I wouldn't be touching this anytime soon, I folded. So, èdàkún, "Invincible hive," have me back 😩. I totally see why those who watched this week by week found it a tad tiresome to digest, but I spent the better part of late Sunday night into the early hours of Monday binging through it, and honestly? I found it a lot better than S2, closer in quality to S1. The same old trope of random villains showing up per episode, with a final big bad boss at the end beating Mark to a pulp (but he still finds a way through), is still here. However, I think it was handled better this time, it felt more coordinated, like they’re really building up to something bigger. The allure of Omni-Man going from a good guy to the absolute worst, was the ultimate draw of this show, and I thought that spark died when they relegated his arc to the background. But they’re slowly bringing that magic back. And Conquest... maaann, was an absolute menace WTF?! 😭😭 Why didn’t Cecil just burn that MF’s body?! The Viltrumite War is the single biggest intergalactic battle that will happen, and when it does, I think the show ends. So, I see why they’re taking their time with it. With them teasing like three potential villains in the finale, I highly doubt the war happens in S4. Still, I’m sat. Already copped the comics, and if I find the time, I might start chewing through them before S4 drops. The biggest moment for me this season? Mark finally realizing that the "superheroes don’t kill" BS isn't going to cut it. You actually have to off MFs for good to show who's boss, otherwise, they just keep coming back to cause trouble. A very solid watch. 🙌🏿 8/10.

oyaskii:Arguably the best "Star Wars" Offshoot since Disney+ entered the equation....or at least my favourite...They had no business blessing us with a second season since the Character was pretty much done in "Rogue One", but they did it anyway, and i am thankful....Gents and ladies, we are so unbelievably back! 🔥. Peak is upon us 😩 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duN-KQgOjYs |
abduleez1:Maan, You are spot on with the age bracket choice. A 16 - 17 Year old bracket, wouldn't have elicited a wider and sustained outrage and call to action, like it is now. It might seem a norm for 16 year old upwards to be this delinquent, but 13 year olds? Totally means our society is broken and totally cooked. Children as young as 7 year old, are having access to the Internet and social media, and there is no greater influencer of a young mind still forming, since the turn of the 2010's like social media and the Internet, so much so, Social media Influencing are now seen as economically viable career paths!. I see why, philogynists are praising it and why misogynists are annoyed, but it's show everyone should see.... brilliant, brilliant, work of art 👏🏿👏🏿 |
abduleez1:I saw the show in bits, This probably placed my view of the show on 2 extreme polar ends. Episode 1, 2 and 3 was arguably one the best piece of tv i have seen in a while....it was just top shelf stuff...The Episode 4? I wasn't exactly a fan of it, because the subject matter was too important, and at this particular time, to be left on an ambiguous ending, imo, anyway. From a production standpoint, it was brilliant story telling, narratively and thematically speaking, The one continuous shot take was done brilliantly that you wouldn't notice, it was various scenes, stitched together to give that exact illusion...just brilliant, in the same class with The Bear's "Fishes", GOT, " Battle for the WaII", and Mr. Robot's eps3.4_runtime-err0r.r00. The performances were stellar! Owen Cooper as Jamie was just a top tier casting, he had to compete with 500 boys for the role, he sent in one demo tape, and got the job instantly, this was his first role, making it all the more impressive and Stephen Graham is always kills his roles, and he seems he loves one continuous shot media, see "Boiling Point" (2021) if you haven't!. My critic of the show was that, they could have had more episodes to eliminate all ambiguity and land a satisfying end. Jamie insisted on his innocence despite damning evidence, he should have had his day in court, him saying he was gonna plead guilty felt rushed and didn't provide any further clarity on a subject matter that has lead to a toxic atmosphere where certain men and women hate each to the point that there is a long wedge. Secondly, I felt the Victim's perspective could have been explored more, remember Jamie accused her of goading him as an Incel. If definitive proof/conclusion was given if Jamie really did Off her or not, it could had lead to a more balanced story imo. Plus, and this might totally be a culture thing, I thought 13 year old, was a little bit too "over the top", for a subject matter that heavy and graphic in nature. I don't think it was a true life event as i read somewhere the show runners took inspiration from the rising knife violence in the UK, but the story was 100% fictional. Anyways, it's a bold and brilliant show, and an easy award magnet. 🧲 👏🏿 |
GloriousGbola:Omooo...I noticed...so so sorry 😩.....The spambot has been so erratic than usual lately! Thanks for the suggestion chief 🙏🏿 |
Egbon GloriousGbola, do you have a working mirror for torrentGalaxy?. The the .to extension own i was using for a long time now, suddenly went offline for weeks now. I could be looking for a random Japanese flick made in the 1950s, i will somehow find it on there...so please edakun, help if you have 😩🙏🏿 |
ExBachelor:On it, best show this year so far, but let me finish 👀 |
abduleez1:They have the worst marketing in the business. Severance is one of the hit shows since the turn of the year, and the finale is today, yet, these people only dropped just one trailer all week, and it was of a goat!. Secondly, There library is so small compared to other players in the game, mainly because of their insistance on in house production, unlike Netflix who has collaborations and deals to have shows and movies not necessarily produced by them to be available on their platform hence more variety for consumers but Appletv only has originals which is very few at the moment. They more than make up these losses in other places tho, but they are so good with production, one of the finest in the game...they should work on other areas. |
Illusioneffect:Discussing Film? Cuz i read their article and it was only Rachel Zegler's performance they were praising, which is a general consensus. They pretty much butchered the movie.
|
pu7pl3:You too sabi ball!! 👏🏿👏🏿 |
