Nickshrapnel:is NL filters so good now that they change actual words, cuz i bloody well know that movie and it doesn't end with "indecency" 😩🧐🧐🧐 |
phr0nesis:Exactly! cc abduleez1....with the buzz, na just 240m e don gross...how?? |
TemporaryHansel:"woke watchers like myself indeed", either you are new here, or you clearly don't know me on this thread...and most of us don't even notice these things, and yet like 90% comments on that episode, in the last 2 days on here, has been pointing at the same thing, you are saying most people don't even notice. Since ignorance is your virtue...let me leave you to it ✌🏿. |
abduleez1:Omoooo...but why is the gross so slow?...i thought it will be at, at least 400M by now. I was given a voucher yesterday to go see it, and work just choke me since the beginning of April, so i had to give it out thinking this May ending max, it will drop on VOD...but looking at these sequence of events, e fit reach six months before this movie, sail the high seas 😭 |
TemporaryHansel:That seems to happen a lot these days...No? It simply means there it clear evidence at a deliberate attempt to infuse all these ideologies, to the detriment of whatever story they are trying to tell. These people use to exist before, and they used to be represented in movies and shows back then, but there wasn't a clear attempt to make them the center of attention, but this ones these days, are clearly be done along a particular agenda. Ever wonder why more garbage shows are been made now,? Because they care more about pushing this particular agenda, than ensuring the actual story is quality. I have no problem with representation of people's values and ideologies in shows or movies , but the way they are going about this particular one, is so neasuating to say the least. |
The way Marvel is marketing "Thunderbolt"* (2025) is so so aggressively good, this movie promo is literally everywhere you look..I seriously rate the workrate, ngl 👍🏿.... That's how you push your big blockbuster!, and i do hope the final box office numbers massively favours them. DC/WB should take this cue, and push "Superman" (2025) like that.... |
abduleez1:"How happy is the blameless vestal's lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;" This is one of my favorite films ever!. It sets out as a simple love story but nothing was simple about it at all...so multi layered, and when you piece all the randomness together,. you'd fully grasp what a great motion picture it was... You are so right, they don't make them like this anymore...every movie is so surface level, so scared of the depth of intricacies needed to flesh out a good story. This is Charlie Kaufman's Magnus Opus, but i hate that he is such a recluse, we should be getting a project from him, at least every year 😒 Top shelf film! 💥 |
armadeo:Objectively, They can't be a "universally" accepted best comedian of all time list, as it is always going to be down to personal preference. For E.G. i have never in my life, consider Kevin Hart, funny, his whole style comes off as cringe to me, his Irresponsible Netflix special, it's perhaps the only of his set, i have liked but many people seemed to like him a whole lot And there is a school of thought, that white comedians aren't really taken seriously because of their perceived place of privilege, and comedy is most times making jest of unfortunate situations that are mostly ingrained in black culture, that's why black comedians seemingly rank above white comedians, because 70% of their jokes comes from personal experiences. I also buy this school of thought to a certain extent, i will rather see a black comedian's stand up act, before i see 9 white comedian's set. But no matter the list of best comedians of all time list, you draw, some regulars always appear, Katt, Pryor, Rock, Chappelle etc...these are the kings. Personally, Dave Chappelle is my personal favourite, I saw his "For What It's Worth" (2003) stand up, and i knew he was HIM!..and absolute all timer stand up act 💥✨ |
abduleez1:e don clear "Sinners" from IMAX screens, so there is a definite vibe to it...but by this weekend, we would know if the wider audience agrees with these ratings. |
Actually just dipping this now 🤔....what an insane run it will turn out to be, if all these movies actually hit peak ⚡....tales will be told of the movie summer slam of 25'...[/i]Good old fashion Cinema might actually be back 😩😩✌🏿
|
abduleez1:lol he has been on some god tier shît, for a while now but people are only just catching up, and he has a couple of grammys and academy awards to back up his clout. I didn't buy into his hype when he scored "Black Panther" (2018), but when bro whipped up that "Mando" score, i instantly knew he had that dawg in him 😩😩. Imagine CN moving from the legendary Hans to him, you should know, he is a big deal! Plus he works so well with Ryan Coogler, resembling the impressive filmmaker/composer run, Damien Chazalle and Justin Hurwitz where on at one time. I tell you this guy, will finally be the one to snatch, Hans Zimmer's chains....too good 😬 |
phr0nesis:Getting anything above 70% on RT in this phase of MCU, is an absolute miracle. I never doubted it would be good but holy freaking smokes!, look at that score 😩😩😩. Seated!! |
Dwayne Johnson's "acting debut" 🤭...He looks so unrecognisable and looks to me like a top tier casting tbf...LFG! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRpnP3LZ99g |
Illusioneffect:Except you are aiming for hyper realistic 8K ray tracing or some overkill wild shii like that, i think it's easier and to some extent, cheaper , to just get a capable console than jumping through hoops every time to upgrade a PC gaming rig, because no matter what set up you have, it might never be enough. |
"Benny Safdie X A24" hive we are so back!....one of my fave indie filmmakers, back at it again... Plus i think, this flick, will eventually test Dwayne Johnson's acting prowess beyond his "Brawler/Macho man" type cast.... Excited for this one!
|
Palehair:This movie most likely has a marketing budget of about $4, cuz this is the first time, am hearing of it 😩. |
Nickshrapnel:sinners what? good? bad? out on the high seas? Context!! |
As a movie poster aficionado, i got to say, this movie is allergic to bad posters...and i do hope the movie is as beautiful as these posters....too clean 🎨🎉
|
pu7pl3:You probably understood it out of context. It is not necessarily paying her other people's salary, one of suites was for the judge to grant her attorneys the privilege to see the payment info of other stars on the show, so that they can properly negotiate a good severance from Disney on the original suite of wrongful dismissal from the show based on her political view. Disney and Lucas Films have countered sued btw, they are claiming they simply wrote her character out of the show, and it had nothing to do with her political views 👀👀 |
Illusioneffect:she compared hating someone in the US for their political views to the hatred of jews by the Nazis leading up to the holocaust. It was a big fiasco and was effectively "canceled" afterwards |
Illusioneffect:Bro, you are losing sleep unnecessarily tbh, cuz you should know the only reason they are making a successful franchise which is right up there in pop culture history, again from scratch is to cater to "modern audiences". Personally, i am not so vested in this series, as my expectations are on the ground plus i have already had my fill from the books and the wonderful adaptation movies, that i continue to see every now and then. So they could actually cast a Fulani herdsman as Harry Potter and i wouldn't even flinch, and if you aren't caught up to Hollywood's hypocrisy by now, then i don't even know what to say. |
pu7pl3:She posted some series of political conservatives, Jewish, and Nazi tweets that got the internet incense, then Disney promptly ended her contract. Then Elon Musk paid for her Lawsuit against Disney citing that free speech is key...wild wild story 😩😩 |
abduleez1:lol from conception sef, i knew it wasn't going to end well 😂...na agenda film normal and you could clearly see the crowd they were trying to please with it. Again, 90% of the time, no serious movie goes straight to streaming, even if you see tier A actors in it, always be skeptical 🧐 |
Baddestguyp:The trailer bit wasn't directed to you per se, as i have seen quite a lot of people complaining about the flick on here. If you didn't see the trailer, you are an OG, you should be able to discern garb movies like this, without seeing the trailer sef, it totally reeked of it. |
Baddestguyp:From the trailer alone, it was clear this wasn't a serious movie, expecting something different is surprising to say the least 🤷🏿♂️
|
pu7pl3:Broooo...what was that ending? Thought they were at peace, only for me to see a pillow, a missing tooth and a knife....grime af! 😭😭🤣 |
Black Mirror S7 (2025) Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror is back! There’s a familiar Netflix trend of acquiring brilliant IPs and watering down what made them special Money Heist, You, and sadly, Black Mirror after Season 2. Those early UK-produced seasons were bold and uniquely unsettling. But with Season 7, it feels like Brooker clawed back more creative control, and I was reminded why I fell in love with this show in the first place. It opened with "Common People" a classically bleak BM tale. A woman gets a subscription-based brain implant to reverse a terminal condition, only to start blurting out ads. She soon learns that to maintain comfort, she must keep upgrading her plan. It's a grim but painfully believable commentary on healthcare, tech, and capitalism. Bête Noire pits two long-time academic rivals in a chocolate company against each other. Deepfakes play a central role here, blurring perception and identity. The message? Absolute power corrupts, and you truly don’t know what you’re capable of until you have it. Hotel Reverie was probably the weakest episode, but its premise is haunting. With AI, old Hollywood classics like Casablanca can be remade, identical sets, props, even actors. What could possibly go wrong? Plaything is a nod to Bandersnatch. A programmer creates a game that gets hijacked by a deranged reviewer set on world domination. While not entirely fresh, the message is clear: our prompts are training data for models, and soon, AI may predict our every move. Then there's Eulogy, my personal favorite. Paul Giamatti, now Oscar-nominated, delivers a devastating performance. A tech company allows him to relive photo memories of an ex-girlfriend for her memorial, but what unfolds is a painful deep dive into trauma and heartbreak. The emotional weight and Giamatti's performance scream Emmy potential. Finally, USS Callister: Into Infinity....a solid sequel to one of BM’s best episodes. With the creator gone, the digital clones are now space pirates, surviving on the edge. A decent follow-up, if not quite as impactful as the original. Black Mirror continues to explore the thrilling yet terrifying frontier of tech. AI, cancer cures, 100+ year lifespans, these aren't science fiction anymore. But as the show warns, our obsession with ultra-capitalism may be our undoing. The fact that the world’s richest are projected to hit trillionaire status soon says it all. Brilliant season. Bleak, bold, and beautifully crafted👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 8/10

abduleez1:If you are a Video Editor or a Graphics Design person, Mr. Wes Anderson can teach you a thing or 2 about colour correction and colour grading. This man knows his way around colours and it's probably the only reason i will bother with this flick.🍿🎨 |
abduleez1:"I need you to trust me, one last time" 🙏🏿. Wallahi... This is an easy $1Bn gross movie, if the world is actually serious 😭😭 |
The White Lotus S3 Nothing really Happens! I started this season, and immediately dropped it after the first 2 episodes because of how unconnected i was from the story they were trying to tell, only for me to see it rave on X, and i went back to it, and after seeing the whole thing, i wished i didn't continue. The ammo of the show is it's slow burn nature, that ultimately rewards big, but this season was extra slow burning with absolutely zero reward for investing in the nonsensical subplots they have been trying to tell all season. It wasn't even a skill issue, as the cast are pretty well known and good, the problem was in the plot and writing. They tried as much as possible for it not to be as close to S1 and S2, but they still ended up in the same corner, and this came out worse off. It's an HBO MAX print, so the production is of the highest quality with the sound design top notch to be point i am even thinking the whole season was to showcase the beautiful scenery of Thailand to attract tourists. No moral lessons, No consequences, No story...The only reason i would want to return for S4 is because it's anthology but it is starting to look tediously repetitive now. I absolutely do not recommend if you want a good story, but if you want something pretty to look at with data and time to burn....go right ahead ✌🏿 4/10

Kaycee7:Bro I am of sound mind and body, and "Thor: The Dark world" is one of my favorite MCU export 👀.... The Dark elf Malekith had me in a chokehold....i don rinse that film tire 😩😩 |
They actually want Superman to stop Trump from imposing Tariffs or i don't understand? 😩..I get the need for movies to be politically correct and all that gibberish these days, but actively looking for it, in a CBM, is a tad absurd, more so, a CBM which they know just 10% of the would be plot so far. By the way, since when did people become this joyless?? I know that all these noise are made by a certain part of the DC fandom, who can't move past the fact that their Lord and Master's time, has come and gone 😩🤦🏿♂️. Inshallah, come July 11th, I will be seated to have fun and get my money's worth, and not paying attention to Superman not stopping the America Stock market from crashing or trying to stop them from deporting aliens because of the actions of one unhinged man, they have happily voted for 2 terms now 😩. Not particularly saying these issues aren't important, but the "Superman" brand and WB business tbf goes beyond America, the outside world simply do not care....if America wants to alienate themselves from the rest of the world and self implode, then they can frankly go right ahead, they should leave this movie out of it.
