Edu93:You are correct about the Japs building something of a "nuclear" nature with enriching uranium becoming a stumbling block so the idea never made it past blueprint. But it's a game of If's, there's no certainty in telling what they would have done if they did successfully build one, but it still doesn't justify USA's use with oblivious civilians the main casualties. |
Kaycee7:Maan. WW2 was such a complex war that they were no clear rules of engagement. After the gruesome acts of Nazi Germany against the Jews, All bets were off but the use of a "potentially world ending" weapon was supposed to never be an option but Uncle Sam wield so much power beyond people's imagination. If you deep it, they have been getting away with alot over the years. |
Edu93:They are 2 school of thoughts, the other being that the war could have effectively ended without the use of the Atomic Bombs albeit it would have taken a little longer. The use of the bombs was effectively down to Harry Truman's temperament and America being accustomed to winning wars in past with "an unconditional enemy surrender" and "dictating peace", and Uncle Sam's complicated relationship with the Soviets that still persists till this day. The allied forces lead by the Soviets were marching on the Fuhrer's stronghold, hell bent on bringing them to a total surrender, America needed a quick and decisive victory in the Pacific to even out this perceived "power balance" with the Soviets, Hence the "hasty" decision to drop Little Boy and Fat Man on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on the 6th and 9th of August, 1945.

abduleez1:The Swarm nude scene na like 2 minutes... proper bait 😂... Yeah Ali Wong na for BEEF...Tight show... Infact the entire nominations reflected the very best shows from the last half of last year and the first half of this year... I can't really complain. |
Baddestguyp:Agba Picker 🙃 |
abduleez1:Na Ali Wong or the girl from Swarm get this one sha 😂😂 |
abduleez1:Disney na Newbie na 😅 |
abduleez1:Agreed. The score was perfect. |
Fairs i guess.... since they have kinda seen the real life version 😩🤐
|
Lmaoo...HBO is too gargantuan maan fgs. Rooting for all my faves show that i have seen this year tho I.E "Succession S4", "Beef" S1 and "The Bear S2" 😌😌

abduleez1:Maan. SONY too hold ground for the console market and they have the better titles. The Xbox one and PS5 launched almost the same time and the PS5 is outselling the Xbox one by far, SONY can't even keep up with the demand. Activision main title is "Call of Duty", if Microsoft can make it an Xbox exclusive title going forward, then they might be in business...make we dey see sha. |
WriterNig:So what's the 6.7 for? |
abduleez1:W for Microsoft but The Xbox brand doesn't have much traction outside of the US. |
gustav25:You just reminded me about the Score! That German wizard Hans Zimmer made magic with this one. "Cornfield Chase" for one, sounds like peace

abduleez1:At the 2 bolded, When the promo for "The Flash" started, WB and everybody involved in making it was so sure that Ezra Miller's antics wasn't going to affect it but here we are. My point being, Using AQ2 as some of metric to guage where DC's head is at, doesn't sit right with me cuz keeping Amber Heard in the movie is almost on the same plane as Miller was with "The Flash". She's effectively cancelled and ex cummicado in Hollywood as of now and she's a huge red flag as of now in any future projects of hers plus initial reactions to AQ2 screenings aren't all that positive. To me, i have wash my hands off making any bold predictions for any upcoming flick as the BO atmosphere is too volatile and toxic to even make a clear prediction on how well a movie will do, 2023 alone has been somewhat of a disaster with very few anomaly seeing profits so far at the BO. These 3 upcoming blockbusters out between now and next week remains my litmus test to know if the earnings from cinematic features have actually gone mad. |
RE: Interstellar (2014). "We used to look up at the sky and wonder at our place in the stars. Now we just look down, and worry about our place in the dirt". With "Oppenheimer" almost a week from the premiere, i had to re-see this and remind my self why Christopher Nolan is one of my fave film makers and why him releasing a new movie is such a big deal. This was such a brilliant watch then and is still is now, The plot itself is nothing new and almost cliché if you will, The Earth's resources is dying off due to ecocide, and scientists are looking for other habitable planet to save the species. On paper it's a reoccurring theme but it's the way this crazy film maker makes and tells this version that takes its levels above its prior, deeping it, it's like nothing we have ever seen before. Visually stunning with shots that you can hang in the Louvre, Nolan uses the IMAX camera to full effects, cropped when the shots needed too, and uncropped when it needed to too, to create the best out of this world experience. The sheer amount of work put into making this film can only be the doings of a master film maker at the absolute top of his game. The movie was so scientifically accurate that 3 actual published science papers emanated from it. The depiction of the warmhole and blackhole was grueling hours of work, with theoretical equations written for the engineers to create a new type of CGI rendering software to render the frames for the warmhole and blackhole, with some frames taking up to 100hours to render and the entire frame rendering size was a whopping 80TB!, No surprises when it when won the Oscars for Best Visual effect the following year. The casting was top tier, Matthew McConaughey fresh from winning Oscars Best Actor for "Dallas Buyers Club" (2013), was impeccable here as the lead, probably could have won back to back best actor nod, if not for other stronger performances that year, with Eddie Redmayne winning it for his excellent portrayal of Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything" (2014). Jessica Chestain and Anne Hathaway gave a good account of themselves.A certain very young Timothée Chalamet stars for a bit and what is a CN movie without Micheal Caine been involved in it. Christopher Nolan might have his critics, but he's the right amount of crazy autuer that even if you are woken from a cryo-sleep, you would recognise his brilliant work instantly. I am yet to see a film of his i didn't like, and i am not even going to lie....i will follow this man anywhere...on to a "Oppenheimer" it is... let's blow shït up! ☢️💣🤯 A 9/10.

Dotng:And RP was his first choice cast for Opphemhemier but according to him RP was so busy with other commitments that he literally couldn't get through to him, so he decided to cast an even crazier method maniac in Cillian Murphy. The casting is been described on the scale of Heath Ledger playing "Joker" in TDK!. Some doubts have cropped up about Christopher Nolan's ability to drop a generally acceptable banger due to his flair for "over tinker" as seen in TENET, but i feel this is a straightforward biopic with the promise of a beautiful Nuclear explosion. I trust my man CN, but this movie has been put on such a high pedestal that it simply cannot afford to fail. |
abduleez1:The opening scene had me in stitches 😂😂
|
Saturnalia:"Downfall" (2004) and Schindler's List (1993) should be right in your alley if you enjoy movies about a certain famous Austrian painter 😌 |
abduleez1:lol..Yeah.. Nollywood keeps treating movies like a hobby rather than an actual business. One person we want to direct, edit, screenplay and only calls other crew like the musical people deep into post production to perform magic. That's why most of the movies aren't sellable outside of cinemas, they can't properly merchandise them with such shaky movie making process. |
pu7pl3:Lmaoo..Old Nollywood was actually insane, They were probably working out of a meagre budget of 2k and trying to shoot a movie inside 3 days!. They always just contract the music to one man called Stanley Okorie, and the man had the easiest job ever, he will just take the plot of the movie and throw in a few gibberish and call it a day...You will hear "Nne me, In this life, you reap what you sow" fgss 😩😩, and they have one score template, if you are familiar with old Nollywood ain't no way you won't know the score when someone is about to poison food, once you hear it, someone is about to die by poison. But new Nollywood are trying a bit with the Netflix and Amazon prime money coming in now, I have a UNI friend who works as a sound engineer out of an indie studio in Lagos, they were the one that actually worked on the "Gang of Lagos" score, but as you can guess, the budget for it was little as they rather spend on custumes and props, and so jobs to score a movie here rarely comes, if he had taken it as a full time job, he would probably be living under the Bridge by now lol. Nollywood just bank on cinemas and streaming numbers for revenue, forgetting that there are other ways of making money off a movie, like making a proper OST, releasing it digitally and commercially mining it |
Kaycee7:A fellow man of Culture i See. There's a reason why the oscars award the best film music and score each year. It's such an integral part of film making, that even if a movie is bad, a good score could actually increase it's replay value. Seeing the title of a particular score alone and immediately start playing the particular scene in my head....If i see "Dream is Collapsing", my mind immediately goes to that one scene in "Inception" (2010). Mann. The Joy of film music is unmatched for a true cinephile

majesticguy:It's space themed. The biopic of the moon landing. Top Top tier and highly recommended. |
abduleez1:All this for nostalgia and unwarranted fan service. The man is 80 years old fgs with 5 stunt double, he should be resting fr. |
"We have to keep them" 😂😂😂
|
majesticguy:Maan..I don't joke with those 2, expecially score. Be it Hans Zimmer's God Particle Playing as Robert Langdon and Vittoria Vetra search the Vatican's catacomb for the "Anti-Matter" in "Angels and Demons" (2009) or As Steve Jablonsky's Arrival to Earth resonates as the Autobots descends on earth" in "Transformers" (2007) or James Horner's "Southampton" is playing as the Titanic sails away on a doomed maiden voyage on the North Atlantic in "Titanic (1997) or as Hans Zimmer's "Cornfield" is playing as Cooper and his kids chase the drone across a vast cornfield in "Interstellar" (2014) or Justin Hurwitz's "The Landing" eggs on Niel Armstrong played by Ryan Gosling as he lands on the moon becoming the first man to do so in Damien Chazelle's "First Man" (2018) or and this is a personal fave, Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard "s "Now we are free", echoes as Maximus ask for the freedom of his men as he lay dead dreaming of a peaceful life beyond the Gladiator arena in "Gladiator (2000) mannn film music is bliss, drives the narrative with a perfectly weighted emotion that you will always remember the particular scene by. i have a large section of my library dedicated to film music collected over the years. I have a very good docu on it. Nothing i enjoy more than a movie with a profound OST or Score 🎶🙂

BlackManta:lol another angle but they have to make other movies as well based off other characters in DC, they can't tell me these characters are no longer marketable. The Blue Bettle is almost a month to premiere and the level of marketing I am seeing, is like it's a next year movie... absolutely next to zero buzz imo. It looks like a ticking time bomb in waiting ngl. |
majesticguy:The cinematography and sound editing was so top tier. The scientific accuracy of the sound editing was absolutely genius, probably the best depiction of sound in a space themed movie i have ever seen, knowing sound doesn't travel in space due to no medium to travel with like air, it was perfectly depicted, instead the "no sounds" were interchange with gut wrenching score by Steve Price creating the chilling feeling of agoraphobia and claustrophobia Absolutely brilliant 👏. It duly won "Best sound editing" at the oscars the following year. |
Baddestguyp:Found it on PSA indeed...but you were on about not knowing what PSA was in your previous reply 🤦🏿♂️ If you know your way around, there are tons of telegram pages that host thier files for easy download. I can't even remember when last i actually went on the site to download, i just SS it to illustrate to you. |
author=Baddestguyp post=124290806] what sîte is PSA?I'm surprised you are asking this. PSA is where you go to, if you care about quality and reasonable size. All my movie sites don't have it"All your movie sites" must be a very short and limited circle then cuz it was on virtually all the sites i use, yesterday.
|
abduleez1:lol i was joking with the Bankruptcy, a clear hyperbole. WB as a entity makes enough money elsewhere to cover any supposed losses from any part of the conglomerate. But DC has an entity needs to start raking in money soonest for them to be taking seriously If DC's movies keep bombing, it's a really bad outlook on the brand. |
Baddestguyp:There's no specific place to download cartoons as any site that host movie files also host cartoons. PSA even had 1080p quality of it for about 160mb. |
