abduleez1:Na the Greta Gerwig factor dey make me give the movie eye sef. Her and her partner has not put a foot wrong thus far in film making but her creative choice of doing this movie surprises me ngl. I don't even know the demographic it is intended for, i have not seen the official MPAA ratings but I'm semi sure it's not a kid's movie. Be like na mask i go wear the day i wan go see am oo😅😅 |
abduleez1:It will be so funny if it tanks. Screen Rant are saying the first reviews are mixed. |
Baddestguyp:Was there anything woke about the flick? |
The Bear 2022 S2 Cook... pressure..fail...sad... depressed.... redemption.. rebuild...Happy..Cook again! There is a trope with shows with exceptionally good first season debut not being able to replicate the magic in their sophomore season, S1 of this was one of my best shows last year, and i had reservations they could serve up this same sumptuous magic this season, mixing two synonyms to carry the weight of my feelings, i was totally and utterly blown away, how good this was! This is the best show i have seen this year, heck in a long long while. The writing, character development and delivery was of the finest quality like "GOT 1 - 5" good!. S1 was Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri's show, but S2 was so much more than them, each minor character having a satisfying redemption arc infused in 10 intense and pressure cooking episodes that were grounded in food ingredients and cuisines from not just Chicago where the show is set but to as far as Copenhagen whilst keeping the tone of drama and comedy on a steady par. Episode 6 is the best of the bunch and had the longest runtime, it was intense and the camera was panning so much, i had to pause and take breaks while i was seeing it. It's the highest rated Episode of the show yet at 9.8 on IMDB and it's so so deserving. There is also a "British cameo" from Academy winner Olivia Colman and Will Poulter, that was so profound, you'd think they have been part and parcel of the show from Day 1. Simply put, this was a great body work of art, a genuine masterpiece. Together with "Beef" are the best shows i have seen this year so far, and The 100% perfect score on RT is not flattering at all.

durubennie:My data sub is not static,it depends on where I am based at any said time and i use whichever Network that is sane at that time. |
drizzle0007:Some mobile phone screens are so advanced now that they have HDR 10 bit capabilities like Samsung's Amoled panel, so you might feel a slight difference when viewing IMAX content on it, but using a Laptop with HDR or a 4K Smart Tv with HDR and Dolby vision is when you begin to see a distinct difference. IMAX theater are a different ball game all together, they are far larger Aspect ratios than your standard cinema with very large screens, the goal is to fill the entire field of view of the viewers, so it will feel like, you are right there in the set of the Movie!. The audio is also calibrated to make it feel like you are having a convo with the actors on screen, it is that immersive. The huge constrain is that the movie has to be shot on IMAX specialized Cameras which are fairly expensive, and so very few film makers go for it, Christopher Nolan is a champion for it, as he always want his movie to be immersive as possible to generate an appropriate feedback and narrative he is trying to tell with his, movie, and so his distribution company book IMAX theaters for weeks, when he has a new movie out, the problem now is that Tom Cruise is another IMAX auteur and it just so happens that MI7 is out around the same time as "Oppenheimer", hence the "fight", IMAX cinemas charges more, and so if Christopher Nolan has them for at least 5 weeks after his movie premiere, it will seriously affect MI7 BO numbers. |
drizzle0007:Better aspect ratio and higher resolution, meaning stunning more true to life pictures coupled with HDR capability. For movies like this with alot of fine details especially in VFX and CGI, it makes a whole lot of difference. I think Christopher Nolan uses IMAX too for his projects, I saw "Interstellar" on IMAX and it was stunning and it changed my perspective. But for your regular movies, with not much going on in terms of details, CGI etc then IMAX rip will be no good as there wouldn't be any noticeable difference with your regular Webrip. |
IMAX RIP finally! About to have a nice meal this weekend 😋

abduleez1:The one's out already either tank critically or commercially, or both yeah?. It has been gradual, but i feel movies don't generally get people excited anymore and the movie pop culture is eroding fast, there are a number of factors that have contributed to this flaw. A movie has a high chance of tanking than actually been good now, it's that bad. I have hinged my litmus test on "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer", since they are the nearest big titles we looking forward to, if those tank, then we have a problem. |
Russell Crowe Mannn 😂😂

Kaycee7:Happy Birthday to a fellow cinephile. Blessings Big man 🎈💐 |
NaijaMemes:You too like fight, no need for Vawulence every day ![]() |
NaijaMemes:You still didn't answer my question because you thought i wanted to ridicule you. So let me buttress, why i brought up Ant man is that despite the superpower power, it still flopped, so my point in case is that superpower or not, Marvel has been on a decline recently and thier projects are general flopping. |
Kaycee7:Exactly, there is isn't a clear or defined logic to it. |
NaijaMemes:It is you that is trying to twist yourself into a corner. You said all Marvel projects S or M are flops with No Superpower and the ones with superpowers are successful right? The question is not that hard. The Antman and Wasp: Quantum xx involved superpowers right? So in your logic, did it flop or not? |
Baddestguyp:The Super Mario Bros grossed over a billion and the Digital was out in about a month or so. So your failure theory is flawed. The VOD business is almost measuring up to par with the cinematic business so studios have seen the potential of making more money off there big titles if they release early on VOD, basically, most movies out this year failed or not have followed this trend. Only Cinema auteur like Tom Cruise still believes a movie must have at least 4 months of theatrical run before VOD or Blu Ray release. |
abduleez1:She actually took a break after various mixed reviews and critics scrutiny on the kind of roles she takes plus she needed to start a family, i think she's has only been in 2 project since 2021 before now "Don't Look Up (2021) and Causeway (2022), and both did way critically. She's still a Tier A actress with an academy award to flex. |
NaijaMemes:Going by this logic "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" didn't flop? |
Blud... What the hell is this?! 🤦🏿♂️ The two giant of CBM and CBS seems not to care about the genre anymore... it's so sad.
|
pu7pl3:lol yes o. Problem be say, i don't even know which part of my epistle the spambot flagged down, so if i repost from alternate gbam!, another ban.😂😂 |
NaijaMemes:pardon? Blud, I didn't even reply to you so what are you waffling about?? The person i replied to, totally gets what i was talking about so i don't know the fight you are on about. Smh, like i said, always with a match to start a fire when nothing is cooking. It's so bad now, that you are conjuring scenarios from thin air just to start a fight? It's gutter behaviour and it's gets tiring. please just try to act normal for one day.
|
abduleez1:lol Citadel esque?, abi my eyes dey pain me? 😂😂. So apt they will cast Gal Gadot, because na the same rope tie she and Priyanka Chopra, if you know what i mean 😂 |
pu7pl3:lmaoo...Mannn, e b like clockwork 😂😂. I dey expect now sef 😂 |
abduleez1:I swear!!!, He's seriously gonna cook with this.🤩🤩🤩. The fact say you no rate the man again,na i no understand lol |
BlackManta:I saw the lion bite giving blud powers, i knew this was Morbuis reincarnated. SONY ain't fooling anyone 😩😩 |
I went on my customary ban last night, only to meet a whooping 5 pages of content ![]()
|
abduleez1:lol so basically, it will take alot to move an appreciable crowd to see your movie these days 😂😂. Too many factors contributing to a bad cinema run these days that are directly out of the control of the studio.Studios might just focus on Streaming and leave Cinema as side hustle cuz omooox. |
