Are you a baby in politics. How come Obj had to consider Rivers or Bayelsa man for VP out of 36 states? So there was no Yoruba man that could be loyal and cool headed, don't you know it was all about finding a soft landing political solution to the agitations.

Were the militants fighting for Amnesty at the beginning, why did Amnesty become a solution to the struggle? Oga leave injustice, you can't hold the Igbo man down. Like water they will still get to their destination.
If you aren't a baby in Nigerian politics, you wouldn't have made the first two statements in this post.

A little history my friend. In 1993, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola popularly known as MKO contested for the presidency position in 1993 and won the election in what people termed the freest and fairest election in Nigeria history and instead of IBB to hand over to Abiola, he annulled the election. Now, fast forward to 2009, Nigeria was about to return to democracy and the man who was the rightful owner to the throne was already dead and buried. Now where would the president comes from is the next question on every right thinking Nigerian lips. Since the Yoruba man won the previous election and was denied ruling the country, it was common logic that the next president should come from there.

It wasn't handed to the Yorubas on a platter of gold.

Fast forward 20 years later, the Yorubas realize one thing after missing out in 1960 to the coalition between the Ibos and the Hausas and the same thing happened in 1979 and almost repeat itself in 1999, the Yorubas realize that to rule Nigeria, you need the support of other people and since 2003 has been forming allies with different regions. An example, in 2011, the north voted mostly for CPC while the whole south allied together to deny CPC and in 2015 joined hands together with the Yorubas to win the election.

If you want to rule Nigeria, you need the support of other regions and to get the support of other regions, you need to dialogue with and and not abuse them and show your hatred towards them. Durin GEJ administration, the SW was marginalized and in retaliation, the Yorubas aligned with the north to push out GEJ. that is how to play politics
If they support Atiku like they did in 2019, Atiku will make sure they get to power very soon.

What brought about Jonathan becoming a VP for Yaradua, was it because you loved Bayelsa people? Has the militants gotten the better cut they were fighting for, why did it stop after Jonathan became a VP?

The root cause was the politics of exclusion Nigeria practices and we will remain in crises till we build a nation where peace and JUSTICE reigns.
Obasanjo picked Jonathan because he felt he is more cool headed, humble, less ambitious and likely to be more loyal to his boss than Dr Peter Odili, the former favourite candidate for the presidency who withdrew from the race because the zoning clause was invoked.

Yar'Adua's Amnesty deal with the militants stopped their hostility and allowed peace to reign.

Both you and your cone headed ewedu eating friend are idiots. So igbos do not deserve to produce a president in this nonsense called Nigeria? If the cannot then let them go. Most igbos want inclusion and a sense of belonging in Nigeria. Buhari instead of making things right, made it worse.
Actually, it is Jubril from Sudan that made it worse.

shugamummy:
So they should have known how to turn ewedu to gbegiri after 20 pounds given to them by Awolowo right. You talk about Lagos yet these Igbos have already been prospering in and dominating Lagos before 1960. Has Tinubu consulted any Igbo politician that he wants to run for president? Now that you don't think there should be justice, let's watch how things will play in 2023. But a Yoruba Presidency will definitely strengthen the will to walk away from your Nigeria. You don't want them to be part of the leadership of the nation and also you don't want them to leave the nation. Haba mana. Yorubas are quite disgusting
Which Justice are you demanding for exactly?

In one breath, you always claim that you are the best economically and even dominating Lagos since 1960 but another breath, you are claiming the rest of the country are cheating you.

Any Igbo politician is free to contest for the ticket of his party and the general election.

Tinubu is a Nigerian citizen ,he has a right to aspire to any office in his country and whoever he consult or doesnt consult is his personal business.

Nigeria remains backward because it rewards only violence. I remember when Obj had to fly the militants to Aso Rock and that gave birth to Jonathan.

You can't turn an Igbo man to a slave in Nigeria, the country will burn. Same way the Great Britain ran out of Nigeria for justice to reign is same way Igbo demands justice for Nigeria to remain. Until then Nigeria will remain disfunctional for the next generation.
Stop spreading wrong analogy.

Militancy stopped under Yar'Adua. Jonathan was elected president in 2011 out of sympathy for him. It has nothing to do with the militants.

The Niger-Delta Militants were demanding for a better cut from the 'Oyel money' and not the election of an Ijaw man as a president.

But an Igbo must succeed PMB. Since 1999, Nigeria has been on rotation of the presidency between north and south.

Well, I'm sorry Mr tuburudeen, It is clearly Turn-by-turn nigeria Ltd as we seen since 1999. It was the same argument you made when you wanted buhari in power.

yorubaman, has taken his share, abokey has taken his share, minority have taken their share, Iboman will continue to ask for his share. An Iboman does not make a good slave.

2023 will determine how much nigerians want their 'One nigeria'. The ruling party should zone their ticket, lets get their message loud and clear and know the next line of action.
You can actually get 'your turn' easily by supporting Atiku Kawai 2023 movement. Just after 4years, Atiku will hand over to Mr Peter Obi.

In 2023, the whole world would know if nigerian truly want peace by enthroning justice or not.

Justice was served to the yorubas in 1999 after the yorubas and their OPC militia created problems in the SW region to ask for their due.

The SS also got theirs when they sabotaged the economy and Raymond Dokpesi' AIT campaigned strongly for a SS president. They got their dues.

E don reach Igbo man turn, una wan play us wayo? E no go happen o.
One thing is certain in nigeria, if you are too peaceful and pacifist, you will always get the shortest end of the stick or even NOTHING AT ALL.

2023 is heavily pregnant and East will not allow itself to be enslaved under the nigerian contraption. Zoning means turn by turn and it is the turn of the East.

Biafrarep:
These are things any deep thinker already knows. One of the basic reasons why the country couldn't function properly was due to nihilistic worldview of the various ethnicities at the helm of affairs. Anything that is not of primary interest to their own region is automatically shot down regardless of whether it would help the country to advance or not. It is only in Nigeria that you will find a country of 200 million people with such GDP yet everything is concentrated in one place/city. They would rather watch Lagos suffocate and collapse under the weight of Nigeria than see another place/region take a chunk of the economic benefits.

That's the reason why they're allowing Lagosians to suffer everyday and businesses incure losses due man-hours lost on traffic jams everyday. That's why they would rather be spending billions of borrowed money repairing federal highways every year yet heavy duty cargo vehicles keep falling and causing harzards and economic losses.

What stops the federal government from building a port in Onitsha and fully dredging the Niger River to it knowing the economic potentials?

What stops them from making laws that would ensure all oil companies build their headquarters in the region they're working in? Is P.H, Uyo, Warri or Owerri not good enough to house these companies??

What stops them from putting in place standard facilities in Enugu airport so that international airlines will have the interest to operate from there?

Even when you look at the so-called second Niger bridge they're building, you will see how they deliberately created another problem while solving allegedly solving another. Does it mean they don't ever intend to make Onitsha port viable for ships to berth, even in the future, considering how low the bridge is?

They just hate anything that concerns not just Igbos but including the minorities of Eastern Nigeria. The only reason it seems as if the Eastern minorities are tolerated a bit is because they want to drill the oil wells in peace while allowing them to receive little crumbs. Otherwise, they too are suffering as much as Igbos if not more if you look deep down. But due to their own inferiority complex, lack of cohesion and lack of foresight, they don't even seem to understand the extent of indignities being meted on them instead they relate their plight to Igbos and console themselves that they're better off.

If only Nigeria has wise leaders who truly believe in the country and want the best for it. They will do the things I mentioned and watch the country become peaceful, united and economically prosperous. However, as the fools they are, they will keep chasing shadows until they wake up one day to see the country split into pieces!!
Relax bros, Atiku is cuming to solve all these problems.

OK. Then why are Eastern ports not allowed to resume operations?
Why is Nigeria not allowed to become a developed first world country? Why is Aba not allowed to be the cleanest city in Africa?

Why is the ever busy and an important road like Abuja-to-Lokoja not completed till date?

Why was the PDP not allowed to complete their Head-quarters building despite raising Billions from fund donations?

Why do you think that Magaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar and Ilorin International Airport are barely functioning whereas Port Harcourt International Airport is functioning?

Are these people not witches and wizards? They want Igbos to remain in Nigeria at all cost then be embrace them fully and allow development in their region they still refuse!

Onitsha port ordinarily should have been developed and the river fully dredged so that the port can serve SE, NC, NE and Chad/ Niger effectively. With the coming of Aftcta, developing Onitsha port will go a long way in promoting trade and industrialization in SE but no, anything that will help Igboland is like poison to them.

I keep telling them, all these agitations by sesesionist groups are because the whole regions are not treated equally. Treat everyone equally and agitations will go finally but the marginalisation keeps growing by the day. The Southwest are joggling to produce the presidency after being part of it for 16 year when a part of their region has not been there for once. Is that not greediness? Tell me why they won't be agitations
Is this not the reason why the S/East should be in the fore front for the presidential race, instead of
shouting 'no election in Biafraland' ,complaining that they are marginalized or that the S/west is joggling?
