You don't know what you are saying.
Igbo didn't unite SS.
And you following Biafra without any signed agreement will be the worst decision of your life.
you a minority following Biafra without agreement is equivalent to committing suicide.
The oppression from the north against the south will be a child play
The guy you are qouting is not a southern minority at all.

All these questions will be answered by referendum, which is what the Biafran agitators want.
Many of these questions will need to be answered before the referendum.

1) Where will the referendum be conducted?

a) Old Eastern Region which doesn't include Delta & Edo States

b) Old Eastern + Delta + parts of Edo/Kogi/ Benue

c) Anywhere Igbos are found including Edo, Kogi or Benue. Then who is an Igbo and who isn't an Igbo?

d) The present SE

e) SE/SS

2) Who is eligible to vote in the Referendum?

a) All Residents of the agreed areas.

b) All Igbos including those living in Kano, Lagos, Abuja, Ibadan etc?

c) All Indigenes irrespective of where they currently live.

3) How do we interpret the results of the Referendum?

a) Leave Nigeria for Biafra
b) Remain in Nigeria
c) Form a New Non-Nigerian, Non- Biafran Country.

Its one thing to trace your ancestry to Benin, it is another totally different thing to want be with Benin if Nigeria breaks up

Many Igbos believe they Israeli ancestry, but you will never find any Igbo who wants to be part of the state of Israel

If a referendum is held today, Igbanke is likely to choose to be in the same country with those they speak the same language with
If Nigeria is to disintegrate, you Biafran ethusiasts wrongly assume that ANY land (from Benue, Kogi to Delta, Rivers to parts of Edo State) that want or lay claim to is automatically Biafra without thinking that some other people will contest the right of Biafra to these lands.

The first problem will be

1) Which territory constitute Biafra?
2) Do other Nigerians aggree that these territories are Biafra?
3) Who is Igbo, who is not Igbo and who determine who is Igbo?
4) Where does Igbo land begins and where does Edo, Ibiobio, Idoma, Igala lands begins?

Personally I don't mind an Igbo-only Biafra, but I know NK talks about a referendum before the eventual BIafran map is decided, which means other ethnic group must have the right to decide whether they want to be in Biafra or not. It can't be any fairer than that
Will Tiv, Nupe, Igbira, Fulanis, Bachama and Hausa peoples also vote to decide whether they should join Biafra or not?

If Nigeria is going to disintegrate in peaceful ways, it won't be a sole Igbo affairs. Different parts of Nigeria will have to sit down together (as we did in the 1950s while preparing for Independence), discuss and iron out so many complex issues especially BOUNDARIES of the new countries..

How is that difficult to understand
Why the Old Eastern Region?
The same Eastern Region created by the British in the same ways Nigeria was created?

OdudwaR:
I won't call them superb administrators. They're the masters of deceit who had religion, which is the opiate of the masses, at their disposal. So it was easy for them to use the brainwashing tool to galvanize religious people.

However, they lost most of those wars and offered little or no resistance to the colonizers when they came although they were able to use that to make the colonizers install emirs in places where they were defeated. Apart from Hausas, and parts of Nupes, they didn't really do much.
They studied Islamic History and Jurisprudence which were used to conquered and administered vast territories despite the fact that they were a minority non-indigenes.

The Sokoto Caliphate fought with the British Colonialists until they were defeated.
Try to read the History of Sultan Attahiru-1 and his fights against the British until he was purseued and killed in 1903 around Ashaka, now in Gombe State.
He and his lietenants died fighting.

Because of this heavy resistance and wars , the British after their conquest changed the title from Caliph (Kalifa Russulihah, Amir El Musulimi) to Sultan in 1903.

Obasanjo never ran Chevron, Mobil, Elf, Total and Shell.

Fun fact,in 1830s.Sokoto caliphate was at war with Oyo,Damagaram,Borno,Abuja,Bussa,Igala,So defeating them in one battle was not an impressive act, cause they were facing enemies at all front.
By 1830, the Sokoto Caliphate was still trying to find it feet and naturally encountered resistance from neighbours who didn't want to be conquered and annexed into the growing Sokoto Caliphate.

The rulers of the Caliphate were suberb Administrators, who though they were minority non-indigenous tribe as at 1830, they succeeded in forging unity among diverse tribes under the banners of Islam.

The Otefan war happened in 1830. Ogbomosho and Oshogbo were never occupied and if you think they were , please State the date such occupation occurred.

The period between 1825-1855 were period of wars Western half of what we now call the Federal Republic of Nigeria and several kingdoms/empires were key players in that war.

PoliticsRe: Edwin Clark: No Igbo-Speaking Person From Delta, Rivers Should Contest by oyatz(m): 6:31pm On Apr 20, 2021
OfoIgbo:
While I understand and appreciate the issues of regional justice that Chief Clarke is pointing at, I also feel so disappointed for SS Igbos.

This is a huge prison for them, because when an opportunity goes to the entire SS, the minorities there will immediately blackmail the SS Igbos out of contention for the opportunity. This happened previously as is exactly why Peter Odili never became the president.

When an opportunity goes to the SE, our SS Igbo brothers are also kept out of it because they are not from the SE, meaning that the SS Igbos are held in a huge psychological prison, with an impregnable glass ceiling. How then will any SS Igbo become the president of Nigeria?

The SS Igbos have not exactly helped their cause by being too clannish and developing that minorities mentality. An Ikwerre man hardly sees himself as Igbo, and will very readily do harm to another Igbo clan as he doesn't see that Igbo clan as related to his clan. Obigbo massacre is a case in point.
An Ogba man sees an Ngwa man, exactly the same way he sees a Yoruba man. He will hardly acknowledge any relationship with the Ngwa man. All these help to ensure the SE man can't accept a SS Igbo man, representing him.
You want someone that behaves, acts and looks like you, to represent you. Not someone that hardly acknowledges any kinship with you.

Truth be told, at the moment I will not want an Ikwerre, Ogba, Ika or any such clans to represent the Igbos in Aso Rock. Ample occurrences have made me cold on that idea, the last of which is the Obigbo massacre. I know Igbos generally are now developing that stand point.

We know some of these anti-Igbo SS Igboids became the way they are through external forces that are hellbent on ensuring the Igbos are not united.

If Igbos are united, I doubt if the SE Igbos will have any qualms with a SS Igbo representing us. But enough suspicion has been injected into the relationship, resulting in the SE Igbos only wishing for a SE Igbo presidency.

Also due to the clannishness of some SS Igbo groups, a Rivers Ndoki man will rather have an Anambra president than a Rivers Ikwerre president.
A Rivers state Egbema man will prefer an Imo president than an Ogba man not minding that Ogba and Egbema are in the same LGA in Rivers state.
This is mainly because some of these SS Igbo clans have chosen to see the world as minorities, and are now more comfortable being insular and clannish.

I think to release the SS Igbos from the psychological political prison they currently abide in, within Nigeria, then there has to be real restructuring, so that they are placed with their genetic and cultural brothers and sisters to eliminate to issues of malevolent forces, forcing them to develop as minorities and encouraging them to severe cultural links with their brothers. It will also eliminate the political marginalisation that has been forced on them, by being placed where they clearly don't belong. They should be with their cultural and genetic brothers. Otherwise the fate of Peter Odili's presidential ambitions will be the eternal fate of any SS Igbo's presidential ambitions.
This is a great fallacy. Any strong Ikwerre, Ndoki, Etche or Ika politician may contest and win the presidential election.

This analysis is not totally accurate. Sir Alex Ferguson is Scottish, but not English. He is however British.

That's exactly the situation with IFEANYI Okowa and all Igbos from Ika and the rest of Delta. Ika is to Igbos, what Abriba, Ohafia or Nkanu are to Igbos.

Ika is an Igbo clan situated outside core Igbo states. Do not forget that States were artificially carved out.
Igbos are those who accept the Igbo identity and they are right to do so.
Those who reject the Igbo identity are also right.
The same can be said of other tribes.
