Percentage of graduates in the North is smaller than in the South that's why you don't see them competing in large numbers with Southerners in the private sector.

When I went to Cotonou in 1999, I didn't even speak any French, I was just speaking my Yoruba language and they understood me well (though they have a funny Yoruba accent and some speak dialects of Yoruba that resemble that spoken in some remote parts of Oyo State)

Only about 20% of their population are ethnic Yoruba but almost half of the population speak Yoruba in addition to Fon and Ewe Languages.
The reasons are
1) Porto Novo ,the National Capital is a Yoruba Town
2) Cotonou, the largest and commercial City is very close to Lagos and most people there speak Yoruba as a language of business and entertainment.
Yoruba music and Yoruba Nollywood are the mainstream entertainment in Cotonou.

3) A Yoruba guy from Lagos or Ogun State doesn't need interpreters to communicate freely in most Cotonou and Port Novo.

Lagos state government is the sole owner of LCC, and all toll fee (minus maintenance money) goes to the Lagos State Government and peple behind it. I discovered that Lagosians that oppose this Lekki toll gate shutdown/protest live in Abule Egba, Iyana Ipaja and Ishaga. They feel those in Lekki should suffer like they do, by paying endless toll fee. Consider that they don't benefit from the toll fee, but they want it being paid by Lekki Residents.

Apart from the Endsars issue, those living in Lekki wants to know why they are paying and what they money is used for. For me, this is an opportunity to audit that financial cesspit called LCC

Let's not muddle up these issues.

1) Is the collection of Tolls the reason for this renewed Protest?

2) Is this renewed Protest about punishing those responsible for the shooting?
