Besides, if you closely examine the dead body of Ataga coupled with Chindma's confession, the ways he was stabbed can not be called in 'Self-defence'.

This can only be done if he is sedated and not in State of full consciousness.

2) Multiple stabs to the chest, Tommy and even legs. These were done to make sure that he didn't survive.

In cases of self-defense, one or two cuts to weaken him would have been enough for Chidinma to escape but she continued stabbing him.

3) In all of these stabbing, Ataga didn't attack or injure her in return- this mean he was in a disadvantaged/helpless position.
