Neddstark: Almost all nations have people of different tribes. America the greatest, has all tribes but they are successful based on the orientation they give all their citizens, which we dont. Even in Spain, the Catalans are not Spainards. In France, the Corsicans are more of Italians than French. How about all over Africa that has more than 300 tribes but less than 60 countries? This is the 21st century. Only unity can move us forward not division. You are saying the same thing. Unity of people willing to stay together works well than forced unity of people unwilling to stay together. If a referendum is conducted today, only the NW and NE will vote for continuation of NIgeria, the remaining four regions will vote for disintegration of Nigeria. |

Neddstark: Let me add more for you
1. There would be an exodus. Millions of Igbos back to their land, millions of Yorubas from the North back to their land, same with Hausas and other tribes 2. A lot of other tribes' investment and properties will be claimed as state property. 3. There would be more poverty. As in extreme poverty. We will all be starting from the scratch. 4. Immigration will be a big issue. Proud Nigerians suddenly turned to aliens will be a problem 5. No foreign investment in a while. The whole regions will be unstable and no sane country will want to invest knowing they might lose their investments in one flinch. 6. Tribal conflicts and more fightings. This is Africa. This is bound to continue.
Let us take a look at African nations who have tried to divide in the 20th/21st century. Eritrea and South Sudan. Are they better off? Libya that fought a war in the name a of democracy still has no democracy decades after. Anyone who wants a war for Nigeria to divide is a genocidal maniac and should not be given a voice. Why the need for war? Nigerians can come together and agree for the country to disintegrate. No need for war. |

Redcrafton: I talk am...you are not educated.
On paper Nigeria practices federal or presidential system of government, but in reality it practices unitary system.
Look at the blind man telling others to go to school...
You just want to show you can open a thread.
Please stop embarrassing yourself in public. Either on paper or not, each state has enormous powers to develop itself, stop giving excuses because ; 1) Your State can build mini power stations (less than 1 MW) without involving the National Grid. 2) Your State can invest in Animal husbandry, producing 1million Litres of milk every week ,tonnes of wools and tonnes of leather every month for the manufacturing of shoe, belts and bags. 3) You don't need the FG to start producing large quantities of papers from grassses, banana leaves and wood pulp on a commercial scale and save the country from using Billions of Naira to import papers from S/Africa. 4) Start using the rocks in your State to produce glass and supply glass to at least 10 States. 5) Start large scale Pharmaceutical industries and start producing just anti-malarial drugs so that Nigeria won't be importing common anti-malarial from India and China. 6) There are countless numbers of old and damaged cars, motorcycles and other metal containing machines, so start large scale metal recycling plants in your State. 7) Go into large scale rice productions and earn Billions in profit. At least 100 million Nigerians wear clothes daily, so let your State concentrate on Textiles and Garments production and your economy will be developed. You can do all these and so many more without disturbances from other NIgerians, start now instead of giving unnecessary excuses. |

Politics › Re: NBS' Poverty Metric For Nigeria Per State by oyatz(m): 7:21am On Mar 05, 2021 |
EzeNri: Lol.
Making excuses for their fraud NBS.
NBS data don't always reflect reality. Its biased to favour the SW.
There is no way Ekiti will have fewer percentage of poor people than Anambra and Rivers. I have been to the three states and I know what I saw in Ekiti.
You can't compare a purely civil service state to a state like Anambra that is commerce-driven.
How many Ekiti people are in the civil service and how much is even their salary?
Ekiti is not industrialized and the state is not even doing well in agriculture. The government is even owing salaries.
Yemi should tell us how placed Ekiti ahead of Anambra in the poverty index. Going to a State is NOT the same thing as carrying out an academic study in a State. Most of the commentators lack scholarstic capacity to critique a research work and will like to substitute personal opinions as research works 1) Explain to us, the criteria used in this NBS study. 2) How many tonnes of Cocoa, Kolanuts, Cassava, Timber, Palm oil, Eggs and other poultry products are produced in Ekiti every year? |
Politics › Re: NBS' Poverty Metric For Nigeria Per State by oyatz(m): 6:51am On Mar 02, 2021 |
EzeNri: Buhari is displaying nepotism and all other staffremained mum?
NBS released a data that showed Ogun as the third largest producer of rice while Ebonyi didn't make the top 10.
When the National Extractive Industry released their data, Ebonyi made joint second position with Benue while Ogun took 15th.
NBS data always show that SW states have lowest poverty rate in country but when the government released number of vulnerable households, SW dominates in the South.
NBS always report bogus IGR for SW but BUDGIT data shows almost SW states are insolvent while only one state in the SE, Debt Office data shows SW is the most indebted region and SE the least The problem with you is that you don't take time to study what each report really means and lack the scholarstic capacity to compare Statistics. Most of what you are saying were measured using different 'yardsticks' and at times measure different but related things. |
Politics › Re: NBS' Poverty Metric For Nigeria Per State by oyatz(m): 6:36am On Mar 02, 2021 |
EzeNri: NBS Yoruba DG had been caught numerous time falsifying data for SW.
The official poverty rate in US in 2019 pre-COVID was 11 percent.
So, Osun with zero industries and only yahoo boys has better poverty rate then US.
Poverty rate in the UK in 2020 was 22%. So, SW the region with the most vulnerable household in the South has better poverty rate than UK?
So Ekiti has better poverty rate than Anambra and Rivers?
So Ekiti has better poverty rate than Abia.
Travel from Abuja to Lagos through Ekiti, Ondo, Osun, Oyo and Ogun and see the kind of houses those that claim they have fewer percentage of poor people than US and UK are living in.
SW low poverty rate exists only in Yoruba media and Yoruba controlled NBS
How can the region with the higher number of vulnerable households (SW) have lesser poor people by a long shot than those with the fewest vulnerable households in the entire country.
How can the region with the lowest income inequality in the entire country have more poor people by a long shot than those with the highest income inequality in the South.
Yoriba Bureau of Stat can deceive themselves not us that drive through SW every week. Yardsticks for measuring poverty in each country aren't necessarily the same. Who is regareded as being poor in the USA may have better monetary resources than an average comfortable person in Nigeria, Ghana or many Sub-Saharan countries. You need to understand the concept very well and not confuse low poverty rate as the same thing as wealth. |

Amitez: Northern graduates have no problems with government. 100% of them graduate and join Federal or State Civil service. Do you meet any Northern graduate at any corporate interview? They cannot complain, it is only when Nigeria disintegrates that they will appreciate the goose that lays the golden eggs. They are not suffering under or unemployment. Even if they cannot write simple sentenses. As someone who once lived in Yobe and Kano States, i know that this is a big fallacy sir. Northern graduates also face unemployment and under employment. There are also Northerners (in smaller numbers) working in MTN, Banks, Aviation sector, OANDO etc Percentage of graduates in the North is smaller than in the South that's why you don't see them competing in large numbers with Southerners in the private sector. |
Politics › Re: An Open Letter To Northern Graduates by oyatz(m): 7:07am On Feb 24, 2021 |
DCatt: I'm not obsessed, I'm protective of my nation, Yoruba nation that is. It's so sad that some of you are so dumb, it's scary. Let me break it down for you since you are on a toddler's level. Northern 'graduates' loyalty is first and last to their people and their causes. Writing to them shows your weakness and ignorance of what is going on in Nigeria. The north is doing exactly what is expected of it, the region is not content with what it has because it sees the imbecilic SW as not deserving what it has, they are probably asking why God gave slaving monkeys resources when they don't know the value. Yoruba go to school but will use it all to serve under the north. Yoruba asked for the treatment they get from both the east and the north, the day Yoruba stand up and say NO, I mean real no, not the empty noise is when they will be free. You lose both battle and war the day your opponent knows you are all bark no bite. Yoruba are a joke right now and will remain for a long time if there's no earth shattering move to change the course. When all what you have is being dragged by others who have their own all to themselves, you are already dead and it's a matter of time before you lose even the clothes on your back. If you like get on your knees and beg the north, you will only be begging to surrender to them. The north wants one thing and one thing only, total suppression of Yoruba nation. They know Yoruba are weak minded and that's why they are relentless like vultures waiting around sick people in Darfur. Even British left Nigeria in 3 nations just like their own 4 in UK and the people go by English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish but in the big fraud Nigeria they scream unity while raping other tribes to death. Why are people scared of their God given nationality? God didn't create Nigeria, British did and it will never work. How on God' Earth are all these related to the topic under discussion in this thread sir? |
