I am surprised the way I hear Yoruba Muslims here on Nairaland.

Yorubas are not very keen about imported religions and most Yorubas still believe some elements of their Traditional Religion.
Yorubas change from Christianity to Islam or Islam to Christianity or some even practice both.

Yoruba Muslims and Christians live peacefully together, inter marry and are often related.

astonished:
stop deceiving yourself, there nothing like Yoruba Muslim, Yoruba this & Yoruba that. only in your delusional mind.

Yorubas are one, don't give a fvck about religion
PoliticsRe: VIDEO; Gov Elrufai’s Son,bello Mocks Ipobians As He Post His Arewa Twitter Photo by oyatz(m): 10:37pm On May 26, 2020
My friend, let me me tell you what is wrong with his posts.

1) The subtle attempt to single out the hard-working folks of the S/West for bashing was done in bad faith.

2) The objectivity of criticism of what we consider to be wrong in our polity is defeated the moment we add regional or ethno-religious colouration to the criticism.

3) The listeners who ought to all join hands to criticize the wrong actions will view the tribal undertone as an atteck on their region/tribe and instead will be attacking the guy criticizing, creating a 'We Vs Them' scenerio.

4) Infact this was the origin of all these posts by the #ArewaTwitter.
It was in response to persistent bashing of the Northerners as poverty stricken, God forsaken wretched people and the continuous demonizing of the Al-majiris by Southern bigots online.

Virtually all Northerners on Twitter on Sunday 24th May 2020 supported these rich Northern Youths in displaying their 'wealth' in a show of regional solidarity.

Baba lockup, na insult to every youth in this country. It is either you didn't take your time to read what he wrote or are simply an ethnic bigot for you leave out all he wrote and single out SOUTHWEST as the only problem you have with his write up.
PoliticsRe: Northern Nigeria And Southern Nigeria Aren't Mates by oyatz(m): 6:09pm On May 26, 2020
You are right.

However, the problem with discussions about anything in Nigeria is that it becomes complicated and muddle up when we introduce regional and ethno-religious colouration into it. Objectivity is often defeated in such discussions.

MANDIPUTIN:
All the people you mentioned, everyone knows the source of their wealth, most of them are through individual hard work without govt support & those guys are in their 40s & 50s. But those arewa youths are in their teens and twenties without known source of income. You and i know in Nigeria today you can't be stinkingly rich at that age except there's already made wealth on ground acquired by their parents & uncles.
I salute them & most especially their parents.
PoliticsRe: Northern Nigeria And Southern Nigeria Aren't Mates by oyatz(m): 6:02pm On May 26, 2020
Bros, leave that stuff.

Politicians and top Government workers in ALL parts of Nigeria steal public fund.

There are some top civil servants in Abuja that are richer than Governors.

Unfortunately their father has stolen enough to keep for them to eat but that does not remove the facts that they are still being spoon fed
PoliticsRe: Northern Nigeria And Southern Nigeria Aren't Mates by oyatz(m): 5:58pm On May 26, 2020
Excuse me bros, how does this surgical precision excision stuff relate to these rich Northern Youths?

Are you saying if Eastern Region had still remain one entity, there won't be rich Northern Youths or there will be no embezzlement of public funds?

IGBOSON1:
They knew it would be tricky getting their hands on the resources with the ‘i-too-sabi nyamurees’ in the picture, so they painted Igbos as the bad guys out to decimate other ethnicities in the Niger-Delta! And Igbo parts of the delta equally blessed with hydrocarbons, they sliced out of the then Eastern Region with surgical precision, placed them in non Igbo states, and got them to deny their god given heritage! Textbook divide-and-rule strategy! smiley

There are children of politicians like these in ALL States.
Their parents most likely aquired all these wealth through looting of public fund.

You won't see children of genuine business men/entrepreneurs who made their money legitimately flauting wealth on social media.

Children of Dangote, Adenuga, Ibeto, Innoson, Ishaku Rabiu or T.Y Danjuma don't come on social media for ostentatious display of wealth.

Ex-Governor Aregbesola of Osun State once boasted of a comprehensive economic blue print that will link Osun State to tap from the economy of Lagos State by supplying agricultural produce to Lagos State but got derailed in his second year in office.

Sunshineg5:
Bro, we have maintained that the huge population in Lagos is not exactly a blessing to Lagos because very few of the population pay taxes, especially the small scale igbo businessmen.

Many of them came to Lagos because of the prosperity of Lagos and now claim to have built Lagos despite having contributed very little in taxes.

What we need now is for other South west state to tap into the Lagos story

Oyo and Osun in particular needs to start producing 75% of the Agricultural needs of Lagos.

So the politicians are the ones robbing you?

And how did the hardworking people of the S/West managed to enter this thread sir?

Are these hardworking folks of the S/West different from the hardworking folks in Borno, Niger, Kaduna, Cross-River or Ebonyi States?

Good question and I will try to educate you. Others can as well enlighten you guys. How many graduates are employed in this country? How many graduates are underemployed in this country? When we travel by road, how many good roads do we have in this country? Do you have a tap borne water at home? how many functioning hospitals do we have? Insecurity---- when you are robbed, do they ask whether you are Igbo or Yoruba? When we are deprived of the basic amenities of life, are we differentiated by our tribes? Its time for us to grow past these tribalistic tendencies and face the really.

As a full-bloodied Yoruba man, I had high hopes for this country. All I thought was, once I graduated from a college with a good grade, all will fall on my lap in life. Where are we? It is over 20 good years I graduated from College and yet the story has not changed in this country. You know why? it is all because of these never do well robbers that can cough out multi-millions to buy these cars that are necessary in our environment. A typical politician in Nigeria has the intention to rob us blind. Typical examples are Dino, Jagaban, Orji, and all others. Most of these guys don't have any business if the process is functioning and there is a great accountability for your so-called service.

I can further educate you if you don't mind. Thank you.
PoliticsRe: El-rufai Should Stop Deceiving Gullible Nigerians- Reno Omokiri by oyatz(m): 3:53pm On May 26, 2020
This Reno Omakri is doing unnecessary disservice to the Jonathan era.

Is Reno Omakri trying to say that President Jonathan was so weak that a post from El-Rufai on Twitter could undermine a policy of his administration?

So anyone who criticized a policy of Ex-Pres Jonathan was undermining him?
PoliticsRe: VIDEO; Gov Elrufai’s Son,bello Mocks Ipobians As He Post His Arewa Twitter Photo by oyatz(m): 3:42pm On May 26, 2020

He didn't only mock the hardworking southwestern folks but all hardworking youths in this country. This is what our dear country has turned into. Slaves riding our horseback while Kings are walking on foot like slaves. This is their time and they should enjoy it very well. God willing, time is going to come when their names will never be heard of again in the history of Nigeria. To tell you the truth, it also reflects the kind of parents and upbringing these guys have. How on earth can rob people, deprive them of basic amenities of life and yet, flaunt this ill-gotten wealth? There is no peace for the wicked and shame to these guys and their generations.

What I know for certain is that in Yoruba culture, if a pregnant dies during labour without delivering her baby, she won't be buried with the baby. Both the pregnant woman and the unborn baby must be buried separately.

They had 'native surgeons' that will cut the woman's abdomen and bring the baby out and sometimes, the babies may still be alive.

PoliticsRe: If Oil Runs out Today What Will Niger Delta Look Like. by oyatz(m): 2:02pm On May 25, 2020
This is how you fail exams in School.

The question didn't ask about tribes and who loves who or the need for people of the Niger-Delta to HATE the Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis.

fugarlion:
Eastern region will survive from their ingenuity. Igbos will always embrace their so-called Niger Delta brothers whether oil or no oil because blood is thicker than water. Yorubbas will never ever embrace so-called Niger Delta without oil, same goes for Hausa-Fulani because they know they are not related; this fake love is all about their oil. But so-called Niger Delta people in hindsight will forever hate Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani from generation to generation. I'm talking about the kind of hate that if they see Yorubaa or Hausa-Fulani after separation without oil, dey fit harm una.

Yorubbas will not survive without oil money as this Corona only exposed them. Hausa-Fulani may survive by managing!

Gov Wike is not a Yoruba man, the guy he was responding to is not a Yoruba man and the discussion happened on Twitter which is neither owned or controlled by the Yorubas.

What exactly brought Yorubas into this matter sir?

There are over 300 tribes in Nigeria. You didn't mention anyone of these tribes, why this fixation on Yorubas?

Everyone knows how the western media he mentioned (owned by yorubas) are being used to shade him.

It has nothing to do with tribes and less to do with wealth .
