God bless you ma. Seen is the problem of Nairaland and by extension ,parts of the problems of Nigeria with the ways he is allowing Tribalists, drug addicts and semi- Psychiatric patients to have free reign on his forum. You can't compare the maturity and the intelligent debates/discussion on Reddit or Quora with the beautiful nonsense of Nairaland. The threads on Nairaland need to be scrutinized and standardized. There should be a checking of the experience and competence of commentators before contributing to threads. Obviously you aren't a politician but an armchair commentator. Politicians don't just decamp to satisfy YOU but they do so to satisfy themselves. Heavy duty Politicians always make deals that cater for their PERSONAL Interests first (which you wrongly assume is exactly the same as regional solidarity) before decamping. Many politicians all over Nigeria have invested their time, energy and money (some even sold their houses) in the APC which they hope to reap the benefits in 2023 and you naively believe that they will abandon all these to face uncertainties in the PDP because they want to satisfy you? That you believe that the APC will be confined to six States in the SW and the PDP will have 30 States in 30 months time shows you are mixing tribal optimism with reality. Even Atiku, the likely PDP candidate in 2023 doesn't have this level of optimism. If you have followed political development in Nigeria closely, you will know that an almost one-party state like what happened between 1999-2015 is not going to be feasible in Nigeria any time soon and definitely not in 2023, which is just 30 months away. WeneWali: If by ommision or commision, a yoruba man wins the APC ticket (which is unlikely), there will be massive shake up and many Northern leaders will decamp from APC to PDP. Making the party a glorified yoruba party. You know these things You yorubas love to deodorize issues so that it will smell nice to your nostrils
The North will be given the ticket in PDP with solid backing from the SE and SS. As usual yoruba will fail at the polls like Awo failed against Shagari. The North will never abandon their own and vote for a 'kaffir or arne' like you yorubas, and the SE and SS that you enjoy mocking and insulting will give you a middle finger. |

There is no political party called 'North+ SE+SS' Political parties account for 70% of the factors needed to win the presidential election. If Tinubu or Osinbajo or Fashola wins APC ticket in 2023, the APC will defeat Atiku/PDP. Bros calm down, this is democracy. There are many reasons why people for vote for a presidential candidate in an election or vote against a candidate. In Nigeria, these include; 1) Tribal sentiments 2) Religious sentiments 3) Political party affiliations 4) Political opponents/Alternatives 5) Personality that can determine acceptability 6) Personal Gains (economic & political gains of the voters) 7) Experience Others In 2023, your reason for not voting let's say Osinbajo or Fashola will be tribal sentiments that a Yoruba candidate will prolong the chances of an Igbo becoming the president. This is a valid reason for YOU and many people who think like that. However, everyother person don't necessarily share this view, even in the SE/SS. Some people will vote for Osinbajo instead of voting for Atiku because he is a Christian, some will say they want a younger president while some will say they want to vote for the ruling party etc WeneWali: Oga forgerrit! The rest of the south will suffer terribly if yoruba grabs power again. After misruling this country for 8 years as Pres. and 8 as VP.

You don't seems to understand the politics of Presidential elections. 1) You have to win the presidential primaries of your party before getting their ticket. 2) An Igbo candidate MUST defeat other contestants before getting the presidential election. 3) Right now, there is no front line Igbo candidates in the presidential race for both APC and PDP tickets ,so how can you win if you don't contest? #Stop blaming the Yorubas for the political woes of the Igbos for a day and ponder on this facts. gidgiddy: So you guys actually think that the SS and SE will watch the SW clinch what will be their 'third term' when the other two zones either had one term or not at all. How did you people think the SS or SE would support this blatant cheating?
In 2023, everyone including the North will go for the Presidency and we shall see if all the votes in SW can make them President. |

You guys approach purely political issues from emotional views. 1) The emergence of the APC as a major political party in 2013 has made it difficult for PDP zoning formula to automatically work all the time. 2) No political party willingly field a candidate that will be easy to defeat. The APC knows that fielding an Igbo candidate will make it very easy for the PDP to defeat it come 2023. This is NOT because of the Yorubas . 3) Even if no Yoruba contest for the Presidency in 2023, an Igbo candidate will still not win the presidential election. manuelreports: While Not Are ever going to go against your slave master Hell No But one thing I am sure, Hausas will not mind to return the power to Igbos than South West. Nnamdi Kanu can go ahead and conduct his referendum. He doesn't need to await for the Zoo or Jubril Al-Sudani to give him approval. gidgiddy: Are you still a learner? You dont know whats going on here? Long before the so called Nzeogwu/Igbo coup, Nigerians were highly suspicious of Igbos. The Igbo man was the only one who would move to all parts of Nigeria, settle and strive to make it commercially viable. That principle of 'one Nigeria' whereby you consider anywhere in your country as 'your home' was only practiced by Igbos to a high degree. And the Igbo man was doing well wherever he went and this was going down too well. It was bad enough that the Igbo man was grabbing economic power, by his sweat and hardwork, to allow him to grab political power would not be allowed.
So when Nzeogwu conducted his coup, and it led to another Igbo man, Ironsi, becoming head of state, the powers that be could not stand it.
Nzeogwu's coup was quickly tagged an 'Igbo coup' while all other coups that followed have no ethnic tag.
Even here on NL, Nzeogwu from Okpanam in present day Delta state, will be an 'Igbo man' when it comes to the first coup. After discussions on the first coup, the same Okpanam will suddenly become Anioma, Niger Delta, South/South and non Igbo. When Nzeogwu was alive, he never heard Okpanam referred to as Niger Delta, South/South or Anioma. Today, they are all three as long as they are not Igbo "when required to be"
"One Nigeria" is a fraud and all Nnamdi Kanu is saying is that a referendum be conducted so that people can choose their destiny |

The Agitations for Biafran referendum need to involve the Political leadership in the SE and the non-Igbo Nigerians to convince them for CONSTITUTIONAL ammendents that can allow for the referendum.
