There are very intelligent and resourceful Igbo men that can be good presidents.

However, they aren't contesting out of the fear that they will lose. You can't become president if you don't contest.

It's better you encourage Moghalu and others to contest for the tickets of their parties.

Ttipsy:
the previous YPP presidential aspirant, isn't he Igbo?? moghalu the current Boss of National waterways. there are more intellects of SE origin. Igbos deserve a chance to be president of Nigeria today, the North and the West has tried, we've seen their achievements, now let's allow for SE zone presidency irrespective of Party Affiliation. Party is irrelevant when it come to fishing out a competent candidate

The first thing you need is to have a STRONG IGBO CANDIDATE that you can rally round to win the presidential primaries of APC or PDP before asking ordinary Nigerians to support the candidate(s)

wingmanIII:
Forget that crap! You also have very dedicated and committed Igbo APC members.

If you are not cleaver by half, you would have known that there was NEVER a presidential primaries in this country in which ONLY one Tribe/Geo-political zone participated.

In 1999, Obasanjo only emerged the presidential candidate for the PDP after defeating Alex Ekwueme, Jim Nwobodo, Don Etiebet, Philip Asiodu, Graham-Douglas.

In the APP, Dr Ogbonaya Onu, Ikemba Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Gabriel Onosode and Dr Olusola Saraki particicipated before their primary was aborted for a consensus candidate in Kaduna.

For the 2019 PDP presidential ticket, Dr Bukola Saraki, Sule Lamido, Gov Aminu Tambuwal, Kwankwanso and Atiku slugged it out.

Malawian:

Honestly, I wonder if you guys ever seat down and do a thorough soul searching.

You are the only people in the world who seriously desire to be given the presidency and at the same time also wanting to destroy the same country.

You are the only people who call people derogatory names and still want these same people to make you their president.

Nobody is denying Igbos anything, let alone the presidency.
Nigerian citizens are aspiring for the topmost post in their country through democratic means and you are calling it greed because you feel you can't compete in the presidential race?

In 2023, let Atiku, Tunde Bakare, Osinbajo, El-Rufai, Tinubu , Tambuwal and my humble self contest for the Presidency.

You can seat behind keyboards and be shouting 'it is our turn'.

the painful thing is that this stupid satanic greed us being spearheaded by yoruba pastors tunde bakare and Osinbajo. It is yoruba pastors that are fighting themselves to death to deny igbos the opportunity to produce the presidency.
Politics › Re: Edwin Clark Warns Yoruba, North: Steer Clear Of 2023 Presidency For Igbo by oyatz(m): 8:48am On Dec 07, 2019
The problem with this is that:

1) You can NOT use the threat of secession to blackmail other Nigerians to give you the presidency.

2) You can't force all parties to pick only Igbo candidates for the Presidency. Each Political party is different and they have different areas of strength. They pick candidates that they think command widespread acceptability and can win the presidential election for them.

3) On a personal note, the second point above would have been easier to get igbos to the presidency if we are still practicing one dominant and many weak parties system.

4) It would have been easier to mount pressure on the PDP leadership to give it's Presidential ticket to an Igbo candidate and they will win. All these changed with the emergence of another strong political party, the APC in 2014.

This guy is just very funny.

1) How will the SW nominate 5 Igbo candidates they like to be president?

Will these five candidates be announced by the Alaafin (the Emperor), the Ooni (The Priest-King), Gen Obasanjo (The Soldier) or OPC (a socio-cultural organization)?

2) Political parties and NOT Tribes contest elections in Nigeria and they chose the candidates that they think can win the elections for the parties.

When it comes to loyalty, they'll always support their own.
What people don't know is that God had already made a covenant with Bukola Saraki. God said to him many years ago while he was still in abroad. Leave your work and return back to your fatherland (that's sacrifice). "On this day have I made you a god unto the great people of Kwara (a reward for making a sacrifice and obeying the voice of God)" said God.
Politics › Re: How MKO Abiola Betrayed Atiku’s VP Slot In 1993 by oyatz(m): 4:21am On Dec 07, 2019
God bless you sir for saying the truth.

seunmsg:
Truly, MKO did not honor the agreement he had with Yaradua to make Atiku his running mate. However, it was not an act of betrayal but one of political expediency. Majority of the then SDP governors supported Babagana Kingibe even though Abiola was the most popular candidate. After MKO won the party ticket, the governors told him to either chose Kingibe as his running mate or forget about their support. IBB also invited him to Aso rock and lobbied him to chose Bafyau Pascal, then NLC President as his running mate.

So, MKO was turn between satisfying three powerful interest groups. Without the support of the Yar’adua camp, he couldn’t have won the Jos convention. IBB was his close friend and incumbent head of state. However, the powerful SDP governors forum was very important and critical to the general election. Without their support, it would be very difficult to win the general elections. As a result, he yielded to the governors pressure and chose Kingibe as his running mate.

It's the sizes and capacity of the turbines that will determine the the quantity of electricity produced and not necessarily the sizes of the dams.

Kainji and Shiroro were built about 40years ago (just compare the sizes and capacities of computers built in 1980-1985 to those of manufactured in 2019).

cuteboy2:
Just listen to the lies. They claim this dam which can only do 40MW, will be the 2nd biggest dam in Nigeria. Bigger than Kainji, Jebba, Shiroro, Mambilla, Zungeru, etc. All of which can generate several 100s of MW. They don't even know how to lie.

If they are giving update why do they have to go and dig up a 1 year old YouTube video made by the former governor? They should should have made a new new video giving current status.

When they want to carry new provision in this year's budget on this dam they know is nowhere near completion, so they will keep chopping, they will begin to saturate the media with hype and falsehood. Same way they want to chop $1billon in new funding they are asking for Ajaokuta Steel complex
Politics › Re: The 40MW Dadin Kowa Hydropower Project In Gombe (Photos) by oyatz(m): 6:05pm On Dec 06, 2019
It actually affect you

If the power plant is not constructed ,the 40 MW of electricity it's producing will be taken from the national grid to serve the people of Gombe.

With this power plant, there will be no need to take 40 MW from the joint pool called national grid which mean the people of Gombe will leave the 40MW of electricity for the rest of us to add it to what's going to be shared in the national grid.

President Buhari's nepotism is outstanding and he is yet to purge himself of military mindset.
The shortcomings and failures of his administration are crystal clear.

However, Buhari alone can NOT fix our educational system. This will require the collective, conscious and deliberate efforts of all Nigerians.

It's very laughable and quite ironic to see parents who pay mercenaries to write JAMB for their children, cultists who kill/rape fellow students on campus,SUG officials who embezzled students fund, Lecturers who sleep with students before passing them , average students who cheat in exams from pry schools to universities and Oloshos who are part time students/part time prostitutes coming on this faceless forum to lament why Buhari hasn't fixed the rottenness in our educational system and sending his daughter to school abroad.

Most of those criticizing the achievement of the young lady are doing so out of pure hatred for the President and not based on any rational or patriotic ground.

Justmemyself1:

Are you also saying that if my sons and daughters are top students who get MIT scholarships, you're saying I should get them to refuse the scholarships and instead attend a university in Nigeria because I am a public office holder in Nigeria? Is there any sense in this?

To those doubting the possibility that the president's daughter could actually be top class in what she studied, have you not seen instances where professors' children turned out average academically? I have seen many! Or have you not seen instances where some average joe's children turned out academically exceptional? Again, I have seen many. Unless you know of and/or have dealt directly with people, it's futile trying to rubbish their efforts as some of you are trying to do to the president's daughter.

Hmn, I hope you know that the children of public officers are NOT public office holders and are like any other private citizens.

Their rights can't be limited because their parents are Governors, Senators or President.

On legal grounds, children of the President that are above 18 years are adults with their own rights.

They can attend any University anywhere they like, they may not even need the president's money to attend the schools.
