Sir ,it seems your understanding of the Israeli demographics, history and indeed the whole situation is very shallow.

1) Some of the peoples we now call Palestinians are the descendants of ancient Israelites who remained in Judea after the Romans destroyed Jerusalem in 100AD but forced to convert to Islam during the Rushidum and Umayyad caliphates.

2) A huge chunk of the Palestinians are Arabs from Syria and Jordan, they only migrated to Israel in the centuries when majority of the Jews were expelled from Judea and Samaria.

3) The present people claiming Palestinians have no relationship to the Ancient Jebusites, Amorites or Philistians

Why are you going off track? The guy you are quoting never mentioned Jesus or Christians in his post.
Why did you assumed he must be a Christian? The Old Testament is revered as a holy text by both Judaism and Christianity.
If you read history very well, you will know that 'Judaism of old' is the precursor of both Christianity and Islam.

datribune:
Mumu, a lazy Christian that does not read is a gullible Christian.
There is absolutely no camaraderie between Christianity & Judaism.
Judaism is not only d antithesis of Christianity, but also its mortal enemy.
Why don't u read what d Jewish Talmud says about Jesus & Christians before spewing rubbish on a public forum.
Modern-day Israel is not a Christian nation, rather it is a nation of Judaists who see Jesus as a fake prophet who came to turn people away from God.

It is a shame that illiterate, Bible thumping Christian Taliban like u think it is a Christian/Muslim issue. It is d issue of illegal land grab by modern-day Israel, a country of Zionists who ar not indigenous to d land of Palestine but ar Europeans who fled frm oppression & anti-semitism they suffered in Poland & other European nations only to come & settle down in Palestine.

Educate urself & understand what d UN & d world majority are saying - Israel must stop being a rogue state & respect d same UN resolution which brought it into being.

You have a good understanding of Nigeria societies.

Knowledge9000:
I don't think he is powerful is just that Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani tend to be very demure and respectful to someone in their societies who has risen above board notwithstanding if he or she is right or wrong...they will be loyal to that person. The cultural reverence that come with the throne of Obas, Onis and Emirs also makes it easier for them to control the people. With Igbos...it's impossible as they are not used to having powerful people! Igbo society is naturally and culturally an egalitarian society....everyone is equal! Have you heard of a powerful Igbo man before? Lol. The only way you will be powerful to Igbos is if you are fighting for their freedom...as in Ojukwu and Nnamdi Kanu, then you are talking otherwise you are just an ordinary person no matter your wealth and political clout.

Politics › Re: How Igbos Developed Lagos by oyatz(m): 1:06pm On Nov 24, 2017
You are inexperienced and very naive
Most young igbos and IPOBians don't understand Nigerian politics very.

1) There is no single tribe that can single handily take political decisions(including winning presidential elections, secession through peaceful means ,constitutional changes to accommodate referendum or new states) and succeed with out the support and cooperation of several other tribes.

2) In Nigeria, the core-North which is actually an almagam of many smaller tribes but because of certain historical reasons have collapsed into a single power block, thus they only need fewer number of other tribes to gain upper hand in many political contests.

3) The Igbos, who before colonialism lived in small harmlets and villages and didn't develop to established Statehood or empires, by far need as many tribes (on their side) as possible to succeed politically, but instead of forging friendship and political alliances, they are doing things that will make other tribes not to like them enough to entrust political power into them.

4) The present generation of Igbo youths do well in many aspects of our National life but not in politics because they fail to understand Nigerian politics.

horsepower101:
The oba is a ceremonial figure. No real power. Igbos have earned their right as Nigerian citizens to claim their ownership of Lagos. This is what being one Nigeria means. If you don't like it, push for referendum.

I don't need to support anything sir, that is the reality on ground.
1)There is only one Nigeria... this unity can be renegotiated if need be or even dissolved but for now, there is no such effort or will.

2) Igbos have been in Lagos for over 150years, I don't need to support their presence in Lagos for anything, same way Hausa, Efik, Ijaw, Urhobo have been in Lagos for generations

One great error on the part of the Biafran agigators is the belief that Yoruba or other non-igbos in the south should or must support Biafra.

Don't base your strategies on the anticipated support of others, especially when IPOB and their sympathizers keep cursing, abusing or insulting these non-igbo Nigerians on daily basis

Blame JUBRIN from Sudan for all your problems since you said Buhari has died since Feb,2017.

Truckpusher:
That deaf , dumb and blind idiot in Aso Rock is the our greatest danger in this country . Despite Nnamdi Kanu's provocative utterances Jonathan paid no attention to him , The current VP went from region to region meeting with stakeholders and we saw how most part of the Niger Delta started withdrawing from the so-called agitation after all their homelands are still having a full dosage of the criminality brought upon by Asari , militants and cultists but what did the animal do he sent in the military instead of using a more pragmatic way of dividing the Ipob movement , politicize it and use it even for 2019 in favor of his party . Buhari is a monumental failure to say the least and for those that are laughing at this misadventure by our soldiers in killing, maiming and massacre of fellow citizens without proper trial shame on you people as the democracy that people like Abiola and others fought for and died for is at its lowest level.I hope everyone of us is aware that if war breaks out today it will affect every part of this country . You can't have boko haram in the North East , Criminals and criminal enterprises in the Niger Delta oil fields wanting to lay their hands on the precious crude and buy arms and you're stupid enough to start another war in Eastern Nigeria which acts as a passage from the North to down South.
Little wonder the animal invaded Niger and Chad without knowing that he was breaking international laws. Olodo General.

My point is the European slave traders didn't act alone but had the support and cooperation of powerful African chiefs in the Slave trading cartel....in simpler terms, Africans sold fellow Africans into slavery.

pansophist:
And your point is ?
Travel › Re: Welcome To Algeria ! ( Pics ) by oyatz(m): 9:14am On Nov 15, 2017
Bros read history very well, read about the biographies of ex-slaves like Olaidah Eqiuano, Ajayi-Crowther, read about Prominent Slave traders like Seriki Abbas of Badagry, Madam Tinubu of Abeokuta/Lagos, Long Juju of Arochukwu, read about Kings Kosoko of Lagos and Gao of Dahomey who fought Europeans in failed attempts to resist the abolition of slave trade.

Visit slave Museums in Potiskum, Yobe State and Badagry, Lagos State. Visit or read about Opobo,Bonny and Calabar Kingdoms and ask about the roles played by Ijaw traders who for centuries who went to the hitherland and kidnapped Igbo youths to be sold at slave ports.

Esan, a 19th century young boy who was sent from his hometown of Ilesha to study in Lagos was kidnapped by Ijebu
Professional kidnappers on his way from school and sold to European slave traders and taken to Brazil where he lived into adulthood and gave birth to Candido Da-Rocha, who returned to Lagos when slavery was abolished and became the first Nigerian millionaire

pansophist:
The notion that Africans sold themselves into slavery is a eurocentric doctrine that aims to share the blame and make it seems like the horrors of the transatlantic slave trade are merely transactions that both parties agree to. Instead of unquestionably accepting such notion as a gospel truth, an ordinary curiosity and analyzation will show that it is a historical lie that is still being taught to people worldwide.

If truly, Africans sold themselves into slavery, why is such notion only preached in eurocentric books? why are there no pieces of evidence from the participating African tribes such as linguistic, fairy tales, slaves hosting sites, paintings, etc showing these? Put in mind that slave trade exists for about 300 years. It is impossible for the evidence of such a massive historical event to be reduced to claims that Africans sold each other.

In the book ''How Europe Underdeveloped Africa'', the author described how the white author of a book on the slave trade admitted that he was encouraged by other scholars to blame the slave trade solely on the Africans. This narrative helps to lessen European guilt by making Africans seem just as or even more guilty of being involved in the slave trade.

The holocaust even if fewer in numbers compared to the slave trade and shorter in time span, the evidence documenting its existence is overwhelming such as words of mouth, survivors, extermination camps, pictures etc. To believe that Africans actually sold themselves into slavery, a transaction that they loosed from is wrong. And if we actually did, you would imagine the kind of hate that exists between us to be able to sell off over hundred million people of our kind. Don't expect the guilty to tell you the truth, use your common sense.

Where is the place of competence, educational background, personal achievements and mass acceptability in your permutation for winning a presidential election because it appears only geo-ethnic factor you considered?

1) To be president in Nigeria, you need to win at least 25% of the votes cast in 24 States in addition to winning the largest number of votes.

2) Ethnoreligious consideration will not continue to be the main determinant of our presidential elections.

3) All the States in a Geopolitical zone may not necessarily vote for the same for the same party/candidate e.g, in 2015,Jonathan/PDP won in Ekiti , narrowly lost Ondo in Southwest and Gombe& Taraba in the Northeast.

junketer:
dude you reason like a kid. Obasanjo won the presidential election without winning the south west. He won in the north and south east. Buhari needed to win the north and one of south east or south west to win the election. He won in the south west and the north to win the election. Buhari would've still won if he won in the north and south east. Imagine a situation in 2019 where buhari is running against osinbajo. The south west will vote osinbajo and the north will vote buhari but one of them would have to win in the south east to win the presidency. Thing is no one major tribe in nigeria can win an election without help from another major tribe.
