nice points you have here but I will tell you this, ielts exams is not about how well you speak English by it how well you can pass the exams. This is same with PTE exams. Indians you converse with and barely hear what they're saying are the once that pass PTE with high grades.
So what are you suggesting? Do you think it's all a scam, because Indians are hard to hear?

I think all this exams are just money making machines. Some of the examiners can't even speak fluently like most Nigerians, but test takers skill fail the exams. Note that passing of failing the exams doesn't mean you know how to speak or don't speak English very well.
Are you calling the invigliators examiners? Because it's only the speaking test that you will meet the assessor directly and hear them.

I could say that this exam is money grabbing but there are 2 things to escape it. Let your country do well that no one cares about English language. That is what Chinese did that everyone now wants to study their language. They also have things to offer the world that no one cares what they speak.

IELTS is not only for Nigerians. A U.S. Citizen that wants to move to Canada will also write it. There aren't exemptions. This is where we can diffetentiate between academic IELTS and general IELTS. Have you asked yourself how a Chinese who cannot commumicate properly comes here and learns our languageshuh

The second option, which is for academic alone is to go to a very good school or proper federal school that its standard can be easily compared with any good school abroad. Once they are able to transcribe your result to a standard that meets theirs, you should be fine. This is where WAEC is useful because it is a standard body. People make the mistake that it must be one porsche school but they don't understand what a country abroad has set as its standard for education. When they tell people to take their studies seriously, they say school is scam and start engaging in malpractice. They hire people to write exams for them but you have forgotten that you are shortchanging yourself There will come a day where you either embarrass yourself becuse you did not put time to learn the thing yourself or there will be a day no one will be there to help you and you will never be trusted because you cannot defend what you claimed to have. You can run, you can't hide. If you really went to school and did what WAEC asked of you, IELTS is not a problem at all. Na high school exam.

The third option is, now that you know there are no exemptions for migration, what else can you do?Learn another language or move to another country that does not need IELTS. But you must remember that language is an essential tool for any country looking at migration. It costs a lot teaching people and you have to be so skilled in something that language is not a barrier.

At the end of the day, you see that there is no shortcut to success in life. You can choose the shortcut and you will see the result. Everything in life requires effort. Some people in other countries pay to learn English and take this test but it is still for your own good. How do you migrate to a country and want to do well without speaking the language well? You will run into trouble one day when your sarcasm is taken as threat when you misused language because the test na racket in your opinion.

Names are meant to be identified.

If I'm writing real life stories, I mention names
You are still not right. The fact that you are ready to release your privacy does not make it right for others. If names are meant to be quoted and everyone starts quoting your name on the internet, how many will you be able to respond to? It is only public people who can have this privilege and that still does not mean their names can be quoted anyhow to prevent libel. Those men are not public servants, they are staff of the company and belong to the company. Why didn't Jagal publish all employees' names because names are meant to be identifiedhuh

Do the right thing and remove their names. Tell those who quoted you to remove it. It was not necessary. Apply discretion to your actions in a public forum.

Rule 10:
10. Don't violate the privacy of any people e.g. by posting their private pics, info, or chats without permission.

The way we throw away the "Billionaire" in Nigeria though. You are not a billionaire until you are worth a billion dollars.
that's not true.

A lot of poor Nigerians are Zimbabwean billionaires while a lot of American billionaires are UK millionaires. A UK billionaire is nowhere near a billionaire in Kuwaiti dinar, the most expensive currency in the world.

If you read between the lines, you'll get the meaning behind my message.

At topic, I am just trying to wrap my head round how Nigeria creates billions out of no products, industries or services. Even when you say real estate, the housing data and affordability makes it make no sense. Good luck to the Billionaire.

Business › Re: How To Link Your NIN, BVN To Your Bank Account by papyjaypaul:
Nigeria is suffering from not using data and the only reason is because the high and mighty don't want to be accountable for their actions. Look at it this way, if you have one ID from birth, you can use it for anything. The problem w3 have is that those who come with these ideas are only using it for contracts and withchunting. BVN was with Banks, NIN was with Immigration and Telcos. Merging it makes the country know who owns what and where. That's not a bad idea but they misuse these things.

NIN is the only number you should need as a person. BVN came as a result of Nigeria not having good data centers and CBN came up with its idea. The meaning of NIN says it all. This is another way of replacing the BVN with NIN which should be the norm.

Even when they brought NIN, they gave MasterCard the permission to make it a debit card. That did not make sense because you want the people of Nigeria become bank customers when they can choose from banks. Why would you make your identity card a bank card? They just turned Nigerians to digital customers without their consent and opportunity to bring people into the financial sector through the back. If they use the card too much at the ATM and it gets damaged, it will become useless before its renewal. If you retract your card, it has become exposed to bank staff who should not have your personal details. They also made the NIN card expire and then they said they cannot produce cards again that the slip will take over. You can see how policymakers in Nigeria don't think. They just wake up from anywhere and give directives. For those who had the cards, the slip was collected from them. They went back to looking for slips. Those who had the slips and had been waiting for the card then saw that God has favored them with the new policy. Can you see how we confuse and frustrate people with policy somersaulthuh

One group of people wanted to benefit from the NIMC card, another Minister under Buhari told us what you need is the number which is not on the card. Then one day Immigration says it will no longer process new passports if you don't have NIN, not NIMC card. Nigeria, why do we have wicked people as elites cry embarassed

He was actually asked to resign because he was linked to have interests in AFam Generation and Enugu distribution company during the privatisation process under GEJ’s presidency.

Of course his interests was for himself and those people who booted him out also had their own interests which also personal.

People hail him because it’s what the country needs today, but his interests are no different from Dangotes.
Nigerians don't believe in principles. Even if they let him be, how will it sound in 20 years later to say Barth got rich because he used his Minister position to enrich himself. People don't think. Osinbajo was a lawyer, he resigned because of conflict. Interior Minister has a business that is accused of getting FG contracts. People need to be taught ethics in Nigeria. You can have the best intentions but what is right is another. Do what seems right, looks right and appears right. Nnaji shot himself in the foot. Interior Minister thought if his company worked for an unrelated Ministry, it will not have a direct self interest. He forgot that as a Minister in the cabinet, he has influence over fellow colleagues who are Ministers.

Who made you poor? What made the people poor? Overpopulation is part of the problem when people are not thinking about tomorrow but only about the instant enjoyment that they can get. Are these not part of the mindset that I was talking about?
When I use the word "average", it already lets you know that we are not talking about everyone in any given society.
I have lived in the US most of my life and I can tell you that there are crooks in any society but the fact remains that most Nigerians are crooks but they always complain about bad govt when in fact they are part of the problem. I'm talking from many years of experience.
Everyone wants to blame the govt as if the govt is made up of people from another country. Your govt is simply a representation of the people in your society. The govt that you have is a microcosm of your society.
The govt that they have in Norway is a representation of the people from the police officers, and court clerks to the President.
The policeman on the street is part of the govt, the court clerk is part of the govt, and the civil servant is part of the govt.
The govt that they have in Ghana is a representation of the Ghanaian people.

To arrest a common criminal, you need an honest police officer to do his or her job. You need an honest court system that starts with the court clerk to dispense justice. If and when any of these fails to do their part, then the system is fvcked already.

You have few good Nigerians while the majority aren't good. In Norway for example, you have a few bad ones while the majority are good. That is the difference. When Nigeria is made up of a majority of good ones, and few bad ones then you see a drastic change in society

People like you think that governance starts with your Governor and President.
You have made assumptions about me without knowing me but I'll let that pass. I agree with you. We can be saying the same thing in different ways but we will never see eye to eye because we no wan use eyes see that other person as right. Our values are eroded but go back to my first post. I just want you to change your views like we should worship one white man because they appear to have a decent society. Historically, na dis same white man teach us all these corrupt practices. I no go blame anyone right now but making a white man look like god is a no no. we are human

You are barking down the wrong tree as usual. What has all these got to do with the real facts of the situation? Nigerians want to compare their standard of living with those of the Western world but the average Nigerian does not think like the average Westerner.
The average Nigerian will steal everything available when the opportunity presents itself but they want the country to be like the West. The average Nigerian is a crook but expects their political leaders to be saints and not be like them.
The average Nigerian will not do a job that is being paid for if he can get away with it. The average Canadian will still do their jobs even if they can get away with not doing jack. Different mindsets but you expect your societies to be the same. Yeah, keep waiting.
Leave 10 free foods for any poor person to take, and the average White person will only take what they can eat to be full even when not being watched and could have taken everything. The average Nigerian wants to take all the food even when is being watched.
I have witnessed all these scenarios over the years of living in the West and Nigeria.

BTW, the first TV broadcast in Canada was in 1952 while Awo bought and brought TV broadcast ability to Nigeira in 1959. Manufacturing and buying broadcasting pieces of equipment are two different things.
I'm not Canadian and I can never live in Canada, being there many times and it's not my cup of tea.
You mean they don't steal in Canada or they are all Saints? Can you compare 200m people with 40m people? I had said, Nigeria don spoil but over generalisation is not the standard and glorifying White Canadians. What is special about White Canadians? The difference between here and there is opportunity. Make Canada poor and watch whether they will be orderly or not. What you are seeing is the result of poverty and once upon a time, you could put food outside in Nigeria and no one will touch it because it is not theirs but to start writing about White Canadians like they are one special breed because of Nigeria's current situation, mbannu. As bad as Nigeria is, there are still people who will never steal but the news prefers negative stories. As good as Canada is, there are still people who steal even when they have more than enough.

Our thinking is a result of leadership failure across all sectors. Despite this, there are still Nigerians with good behaviour in a bad environment. You can't be a good example when you put the entirety of your people down because of another that packages itself well. We are all human at the end.

These things only work this way in Nigeria.

Women are so very different outside Nigeria and most West Africa Countries.

Women in Europe don't look forward to marriage and weddings like Nigerian girls do.
Women here do not depend on a man's wealth, they grind their asses and make their own money.
They're not as emotional as Nigerian girls are. They use their heads more than their hearts here.

Men and women are not under pressure to marry. Marriage is a very casual union here. Most couples are in civil partnerships or just co-habiting. They can call it quite without dramas anytime.

Unlike Nigeria, the society here frowns at the get rich syndrome we suffer in Africa. There's zero tolerance for unexplained wealth.

It will really do Nigeria good to have a life re-orientation, because in so many ways, we are behind the rest of the world.
