Can we just use naira in Nigeria? Unfortunately, this government of Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu has no moral right to stop the dollarization of the economy going by what went on in APC primary. If anything must change, it must start at the top, even if he is pretending. Stop travelling abroad for private visits. Put a policy like OBJ where you use Nigerian product and watch how the naira will come back to glory. But there's nothing APC does that shocks me. Our last President and VP both peppered us with pictures of their kids graduating in UK. These politicians don't think about the impact of their actions on the people. Everything no be policy, just show good example and the sheep will follow. If I had my way I will ban the discussion of dollar on the streets. But what am I saying sef? I have not provided electricity for my people, I do not have watertight immigration, I have not talked to myself and fellow politicians to stop using dollars, I have not done my own part. The CBN does not have control over the USD, it only has control over Naira. Once we get this logic, we will have sense in pledging to Nigeria. To be faithful loyal and honest ![]() |

I have one question. That rice pyramid Emefiele launched, e still dey? Dat thing fit feed Abuja 🤔 |
Guys, cut him some slack. You may not be his fan but he's gone there and should be applauded. I am not his greatest admirer but if you condemn him for not showing enough support and watching from TV in France and he now goes there live, he should be commended. This is the power of your voice in this system of government they designed. Your favorite politician may not win but you can apply pressure to make the one you don't like work like Tiger generator. With all these abuses, they will only call you bad belle. Sense must be applied. Make them do the work they thought they will run away from with the pressure you apply, then congratulate them when they do. Because they need to understand your voice matters and you must not be taken for granted. Even your favorite must step up, when he sees that the current man is gaining momentum, he too will step up. Criticism must be done with only one thing, to make common Nigerian man enjoy. All politicians don't give a damn about you and I. Obi first went there, scooped attention then applied pressure on them because they can't let him steal the show. VP Shettima went after we beat SA and now Tinubu as Nigeria's president is there. I remember I exchanged posts with a supporter amd quoted various times the French president supported his country at games. I even said Macron should teach him. Tinubu is going. I have to eat my humble pie and commend him. No be everything you go de find fault because you hate someone. |
Journalists confused by Journalist doing journalism 🤣🤣🤣 |
dominique:Harry Sports too Harry died some years ago too |
chiagozien:Your mind appears to be filled with bitterness. Therefore, you will seek everything to confirm your negative bias. That's not me, that is you. If you choose to look for hate, you will keep seeing it. May your heart be blessed. Chiagoziem, God has blessed me 🖤 |
chiagozien:People like you make us recognize the damage done due to the removal of history by our evil corrupt politicians. But we will not go the dirty, childish and ignorant route you choose. We will make everyone benefit from your path. Are you aware that students and staff Obafemi Awolowo University took different actions against the government of South Africa during apartheid? OAU admitted some South African students who fled their country and gave them FREE EDUCATION. Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo spoke at the opening of the August 1977 UN sponsored World Conference for Action against Apartheid and warned that Nigeria would go against governments and companies doing business with the rogue government of South Africa. This is part of what led to British Petroleum becoming AP. Google 'Justice Akinola Aguda' and find out how he became the first Chief Justice of Botswana and his constitutional roles. Read the biography of Thabo Mbeki, former SA President and his life in Lagos, Nigeria. Students at the University of Lagos were regularly involved in anti-apartheid protests back then. Today, UNILAG has Mandela week. I do not know your age but if you were around in 96, the schools, offices and streets of Lagos went wild when Apartheid was over. Students learned the speeches of Mandela and we even knew their national anthem. Let me leave you with this letter by the Prime Minister

If this is true, it is only more bad press for SA league and good escape for him. Look at the headline, PLAYER LEAVES SA PREM LEAGUE FOLLOWING DEATH THREATS. Good luck SA TOURISM |
HellVictorinho6:Make sense of your response first. Let it sink in. Then we can have a mature discussion. Thank you |
HellVictorinho6:Read about the history of The Grammy Awards. How many Asians, Europeans or Australians do you see going crazy about it? It is an American award. They have their own struggles and began Grammy. You should not be happy that they are creating a segment for Africans. That is an insult to African music but if you know where the money goes you will know why they created that segment to own the production and distribution of music. This is IP and a lot of our folks don t understand the economics of these events and the music industry. No one is giving you awards because they love you, it is just expanding the market to make sure AMERICA owns it. And if you know America sees what it has as global even their football is world cup. thanks to FIFA for not allowing that. Burna can give his opinion but the industry has existed before burna was born and it will go on after he leaves. Is it not this same Grammy Kanye took the mic and gave the award to another person with his mouth? You guys should stop lapping up to foreign content and own your own |
christistruth01:Thank you. Colonisation mentality by African youths going crazy over another man's awards. |
This game will not end here, it will end at the final. Both fans will wish the winner doesn't win the AFCON title. |
ruggedtimi:Such person does not have a mind of his own. Buying a phone because everyone has it is a sign of self esteem deficit |
This game will not end here, it will end at the final. Both fans will wish the winner doesn't win the AFCON title. |
Rostikol:I saw a video recently on why people big mansions in villages and abandon them. The YouTuber complained about Nigerians taste for European and American architecture and designs compared to other African countries that built using African themes |
Greenfaces:If you have the money, sleep at the Beach. The waves will help you think about life. If you want cheap way, try Sunday morning when people have gone to church. Walk around. All you need is some peace and quiet. |
Grammy s that has been in existence before Twitter na im wan de fear followers. Who be followers? How much dem get?y |
Our renowned mathematician has said all calculations to solve the foreign exchange dilemma lead to prayer 😁 |
AuthorMan:You make me laugh. What is the job of QC? Is the water safe in these European countries we like to call developed because they are washing their hands? Govt has failed everywhere. People should not be digging boreholes to protect the environment and potable public supply is a human right to amenities. The same govt with NAFDAC should be inspecting water factories. govt has failed. Oyo State and other states wanted to tax its people who build boreholes. They have no shame
|
Jeyun:Is there something they are trying to tell us but their conscience is already admitting? For instance, Obi performed woefully at a distant third. Atiku should be the one giving them headache not the 3rd loser |
You see what happened during Endsars where they refused to protest? People in the South should also say nothing. Even you guys that hate Tinubu. We must have sense in this country. A Southern President works twice as hard as a Northerner, yet they will keep mum when theirs is running the country aground and remember performance when a Southerner is there. Who are they deceiving? Nigeria is not North but the whole of Nigeria. This restructuring they have refused for selfish reasons will come to bite them. As long as a Northerner is in charge, they can let Nigeria go down all they care. When people in the North protested hardship, they said keep quiet. People in the South who value life will ask questions about Boko, insecurity, kidnapping but the Northern elites will tell you to mind your business. As long as they dominate they don't care. They even attacked their own Sanusi for saying the truth. We are ideologically different. Other examples are the CBN/FAAN relocation, Bring Back Back Our Girls, State Police, Amotekun, Miyeti Allah, Plateau Crisis and see what they say. We had a governor who said herders can carry guns as their fathers have been doing for years but when Akeredolu or a Governor in the East says he wants to give arms to security outfits, they will kick against it. They think they are wise |
As someone who grew up in Lagos, I remember pure water came to Lagos when the President we have today became Governor in 1999. This was how Lagos Water Supply started dying. Pure water shops started opening. That's why I cringe when some people preach to us about a visionary who couldn't provide potable water to his people. C'mon!!!! |
I want to dedicate this award to the popo |

a4cube:I agree |
kcprince:I am not an admirer of this govt but theres a point there. We do not own the dollar and it's foolish for us to be crazy about a currency we do not control. I blame all of us, so it's not about politicians. Why is the exchange rate a news item everyday? Even if you have an angel as President if Nigerians have the attitude that dollar is their savior, they will not succeed with naira. If a foreigner comes to Nigeria and we accept dollar from him, are we not fooling ourselves? We even have schools and companies charging in dollars inside Nigeria. Nigerians are their own problems. Yes, Tinubu and his Bank man have work to do but they are not the only ones to be blamed. we all have a role in it. How do we think we can be living inside Nigeria and be hedging against our own currency and expect any policy to work? If no one is demanding and using the naira it can't work. Why is the naira you have in your account not something you can transfer to that school abroad? Why must you convert it to dollars first? Why the stress? That's part of the govt job to do but in the meantime, tell me your experience when you travel and show them the dollar or pay with the dollar. If it's not Zimbabwe who cannot control their economy, they will tell you to pay them in local currency. Nigerians just like to show off foolishly holding the dollars. The Americans do not carry their currency the way we do. Oya carry dollar go UK make I check something. |
McStoic:You made an assumption without knowing me but I'll let that pass. When Westerhof was there, do you think Babangida and Abacha let him be as you think? There's politics everywhere. The stupid politics in NFF is to bring foreigner to waste our money. You left out Oliseh on your list. I tell You what. In 2002 Germans wrote their team off before the tournament. What have the Eagles won with a white man that a black man has not done? Is it the AFCON? Is it getting out of group stages at FIFA World Cup? Tell me |
EmperorCaesar:That's just sentiments. This is one of the things Keshi did that if you feel too big, he will off you. Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has stated that Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho has not gotten minutes at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations because he resumed camp late. I remember the coach |
Stephench:Why do you have to get the dorm to pay school fees? Why are you paying abroad? Why are you not able to use the naira to pay for your brother abroad? It's not the stupid leaders alone, the people who allowed the stupid leaders allow education to rotten, vote for people who do not value education, abuse the naira that we should question. Every Nigerian thinks he can solve his problems without the collective, that's why we have boreholes and no water supply, generators and no public electricity and holding dollars with the hope of solving the currency problem. We are not the only ones who school abroad. Have you heard them cry about the dollar the way we do? |
I thought Obi was a private citizen? Isn't the President of one country on a private visit while his country is in pain? |
