Maybe the op is trying to tell us that if we break Nigeria up to form countries the size and population of Togo, we'll have around 36 countries. Adding Ghana and Gambia to that, then the album should be topping the chart 38 countries. |
I am not a doctor but google Irritable Bowel Syndrome. I noticed something like that in myself sometimes ago. I had to change lifestyle just to manage the bloating. I eat light in the morning, skip meals in the afternoon altogether and eat early in the evening, not later than 7 p.m. I'm also very picky about what i eat or drink. Fizzy drinks are no, no. I joined a gym and gave priority to abdominal programs, which I run thrice a week. I don't have six packs as we speak, but I've been able to manage the bloating pretty well. Best of luck. |
Maybe you are looking at the entertainment quality when the administrators are looking at it from the financial angle. The more the games, the more the revenues to be made. After all, these minions won't qualify for the main tournament anyway. Money is the name of any game. Most matches we see are scams in the first instance. Too many considerations go into who plays, who loses, who wins and when and how to play draws. All na inside life. |
Do we have only Yoruba and Hausa-Fulani in Nigeria? Name one Benue person, one Igbo person, one Urhobo person, still come garnish am with one correct Edo guy. Then you can ask the same question? Maybe then, I'll have an opinion. Abi no be so? @ the real niggar, Slawmior. |
Over to you @ Slawormir. What do real niggas do in a case like this? Go get the dough or go chasing clout? |
Nigerians trying to play high pressing, possession football but the South Africans have had an excellent break-up play and fluid counter-attacks. Thanks to the Nigerian goalkeeper for making three to four vital safes. If Nigeria keep playing same way without keeping temperament in check, we'll likely get a red card and possibly lose. Something needs to change. |
The Nigerians are more brilliant, hence needs no pen or paper to jot or present. The Japanese are all suited up like students from Lagos Business School while the Nigerians are looking forward to the 'owambe' scheduled for immediately after the talks. Give the Nigerians some accolades cos they are not even trying to hide it....las, las, all nah still jamboree complete with estacode. Conclusion - nothing is wrong with the picture. |
Nonsensical god of stupid men. Ask him how his skin changed so much in a short while like that of Michael Jackson and he may possibly tell you he is suffering from a rare kind of Vitiligo that makes a black skin suddenly go whiter than a white man's skin (in a uniform manner ooo). Enslaved souls looking to enslave other souls. |
Sometimes, everything just tire someone. Local man is sincerely confused and unhappy. |
Gabriel411:I think WAFRO would be a better suggestion. ECO is from Economic Community Of, which is kind of a general thing. WAFRO would be from West Africa which is more indicative of the concerned region. But what do I know? Aside that, I wish someone would enlighten me on the benefit of this kind of deal for Nigeria in view of Britain pulling out of a saner Euro. I feel kind of uneasy with Morocco encroachment on the region. |
cescky:What do I know. I've lived in Nigeria all my life so I don't know much about what obtains out there. I only responded based on reports and my obviously limited knowledge. However, I still maintain that Nigerians in other African countries may be living too loudly based on daily reports and checking their ways may be in order. That is my point. If you have any other suggestion, just state it because it may help somebody and if you want to educate me, I'm open to learning. Bashing me won't help anyoone. That fact I know too well. |
From personal experience, I think ladies cheat more but on a low pro. Men cheat less but brags more. The reason is just same irrespective of the excuse. Love grows cold, they get bored, novelty sets in, they try to fight it until they meet a guy that pursue them relentlessly not minding their marital status. They simply love bold, coded guys. Even if they don't give in instantly, moment of weakness will come and once chance is taken, the rest becomes history. |
And where is Doregos Private Academy with all the achievements? |
Jamb just released the mock exam results about an hour ago. Students that sat for the mock exam can now check on Jamb website. https://www.jamb.org.ng/ExamSlipPrinting1/CheckUTMEMockResults The result does not contribute to final utme score but to appraise the readiness of Jamb, the CBT centres and the students for the main exam. Students can now identify their weaknesses and work on them against the main exam. |
As well known, Jamb already fixed 23 March for the mock exams but no date has been released for the main exam. The fall-outs from the governorship elections held on Saturday 9, March shows that elections in 4 states namely; Adamawa, Bauchi, Plateau and Sokoto have already been declared inconclusive. Rivers State electoral processes has been suspended indefinitely, There are problems with collations and result announcement in Imo and Abia states. All these added to pockets of inconclusive elections in parts of some states like the FCT makes it difficult for INEC to categorically state that elections are over and Nigerians can resume their normal lives. There will definitely be make-up elections and re-runs around the country on dates yet-to-be determined by INEC but very soon. WAEC already published her own exam time table, starting on April 1 and running until mid- May. With these factors in consideration, it seem UTME candidates will have to wait until late may to write the UTME exams as there is no other open window on the calendar until then. This may not necessarily be bad for Jambites as they may now have more time to prepare, less time between UTME and Post-UTME exams, which keeps them in good shape to keep the momentum going and giving a good account of themselves in Post UTME exams. This submission is a personal opinion and has no official input in any way. Please don't make preparation based on this forecast. Like a boy scout, its better to always be prepared. |
[quote author=LordAdam16 post=76546299]I see some commenters putting it down to speed. And while that is a valid concern, there are two other factors in play: 1. Unlike in Nigeria, mobile broadband is not the primary way much of the developed world access the Internet. As any diasporan Nigerian in the Western hemisphere would confirm, broadband (whether wireless or wired) is fixed and connected directly to a user's home. The user then uses a Wi-Fi router to share the connection with all of their devices, from smartphones to IoT devices (smart appliances and the likes). Fixed broadband allows for insanely fast and relatively cheap internet. This explains why on your phone you'd notice your OS/Manufacturer/Developer notifying you to use Wi-Fi for large OS and file downloads. This is because the infrastructure for fixed broadband is more capable of dealing with immense bandwidth demand than that for mobile broadband (which we are familiar with in Nigeria). It also explains why they can get unlimited internet with gigabit speeds for less than 100 pops per month on fixed broadband, but most mobile broadband plans have capped plans with much higher costs. And why telephone and cable fixed broadband is often bundled with telephone/cable service, while mobile broadband is bundled with text/calls/internet subscriptions. 2. Relative cost of living. Nigeria's current minimum wage is $50 per month. That's not up to the daily [8 (9am-5pm) hours] minimum wage in much of the Western world. ______ Now the important question is can there be fixed broadband in Nigeria? There are some firms in Nigeria trying to make it happen, but I do not think it is feasible in much of the country. Maybe in affluent neighborhoods of some of the economic powerhouses--Abuja, Lagos, PH. But the economics of scale does not favor piecemeal roll out. The primary reason is not cost, but security. In one word, vandalism. With the high level of unemployment and sh*t policing, good luck to the company that decides to install the expensive equipment to connect millions of homes. The quoted insurance premium will certainly make any such company take a closer look at their business plan. Funny enough there are some African countries with widespread fixed broadband, even in West Africa as some diasporans living in African countries will confirm. Bottom line, the chart does not paint a true picture of the state of Internet cost in the world. Fun fact: This is also the reason why we have satellite tv providers in Nigeria and no cable tv providers. -Lord[ You sound like someone I know, Wakeel. Forgive me if I'm mistaken. |
I often wonder what would happen if the 'shake across the Niger' was for real and the Igbo and Yoruba truly come together and agree on important issues. I guess the Nigeria of our dream would materialize faster than imagined. If and only if we can stop fighting each other and think of showing these gworo chewing abokis where they really belong in the scheme of things. How I wish. |
This is Onipanu area of Lagos. On one side you have Somolu and the other you have Mushin. I'd have been surprised if the median lasted a whole year intact. Half of the area boys in Lagos have their roots in either side of the median. They love to break the law just for the fun of it. I always avoid both areas because they are major parts of Lagos wilderness. If you know, you know. |
I still can't imagine Nigeria without the much vilified Igbo. Good or bad, they are everywhere and in your face. Nigerian sports is like 60% dominated by this guys, the Yoruba takes 20%, the minority takes 5% and national character boys claims the remaining 5%. Igbo amaka indeed and in truth. |
We should just do away with this naming ceremony thing. Immortality goes with posterity. If Shagari impacted on Nigeria well enough, then posterity would judge him and he's already achieved immortality in the heart of Nigerians and the history books. Otherwise, there is no immortality for him. Just like delusional Bubu and some Northerners think Abacha was one of the best things that ever happened to Nigeria and named stadium and other institutions after him, I just wonder how they feel when they receive and share 'Abacha Loot' from Western countries. Did he do Nigeria a favor of saving for the rainy days or just stole to become too dangerously rich for Nigerians to come for later? It's always going to be paradoxical. |
I think Gana is a spoiler planted in SDP by one of the two big parties to prevent Donald Duke from reducing their digits at the polls. Even as I suspect SDP as whole is not in the game for wins but to collect their own part of national cake through INEC and electioneering. |
As long as they hold the Commander-in-Chief , General Bubu and Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Burutai responsible, no wahala. But if they hold any field officer responsible, that will be crime against God. Aftrrall, God no hold the general responsible for the death of Bathsheba's husband at the war front. Na King David answered for the crime. If I were one of those army boys at the war front, sent to certain death due to greed of some stupid people, I won't only commit crimes against humanity. I'll freely test the might of Sango, Amadioha etc... Since my death is almost certain, one way or another. |
I've been there before and I can relate to your pain and your confusion. It is a purely spiritual thing and it has to do with people that perceive your progress a threat. I can assure that you talked too much and told the wrong persons very personal information about your progress and your aspirations. Well, I saw mine exactly two year to the day it got missing at the exact place I kept it. I was really baffled because I searched that same place like a million times when it got missing. It was so bad that when I went back to my secondary school for my testimonial, I discovered that my file in school archive was missing and when I got to Exams and Records in OAU, my file was also missing there. They had to go check JAMB master list to confirm I was admitted and I should have some records. The funny part is that my pastor told me the credentials have been spiritual soiled and though I have them back, I may not do anything meaningful with them again and that came to pass. You can believe me if you like but all I'm writing here are gospel truth. Well I started all over again, a step at a time but with serious spiritual fortifications this time. I also learned to shut my mouth tight. I trust no one and I only say absolutely necessary things about me to people. My advice to you is that desperate times calls for desperate measures. You need help spiritually, so go seek it anyway you deem fit without compromising your moral values. I wish best of luck. |
I've been a nairalander for long but I'm an avowed member of the wakapass crew. I read, I smile, I leave. But this is a master class that deserves my response. I doff my hat bro. Great write up. |
9icest:Ethene is what simple chemistry teaches than help in hastening of fruits to ripe. Since it is a simple organic compound that the body can process, I guess it's cool to use. This thing with calcium carbide tire me. |
KOPT33:I rarely comment on NL but this your case is compelling. I'm presently experiencing a similar situation. It's easier to counsel when you've never been there. In reality, it's possible to forgive and forge on but it's almost impossible to forget. The pain is the kind that one lives with like a life-long disease. If the family suddenly noticed your good qualities that can possibly help resolve the situation, you can't help but wonder if you've always posses these qualities or you only acquired them through education, experience or financial stability. Anyways, since your own blood sister chose individuality over familial love and responsibilities when she had to make her choice, then no-one can fault you if you help maintain status quo. About your own future marriage, you already know the deal as every family member has lost the element of surprise. You will not be disappointed when they try to misbehave at the appointed hour. People just need to realise that you only get love when you invest in loving. |
Two of the above named, Sir Mobolaji Bank-Anthony and Chief Timothy Odutola, were old boys of Ijebu-Ode Grammar School (JOGS), same school Vector so proudly rep and Whizkid denied. Little wonder whizzy is forming British-American in Naija nowadays. |
For these sport legends the Igbos churn out regularly, I sometimes truly hope Nigeria won't break up. Imagine Biafra 4 : 0 Oduduwaland or Biafra 9 : 0 Arewa in not so distant future.
