Politics / Re: US 'targeting' 52 Iranian Sites If Tehran Attacks by Parablesonmarble: 2:18am On Jan 05, 2020
52 U.S. targets against 53 Iranian targets. That is fair enough. U.S. already fired the first shot by killing that General. The ball is now in the Iranian court. Let's see if they have the balls to play ball. If its gonna rain, let it rain.....just stop the preambles already and go into full action. Enough of movies and novels, let's have a feel of what its like for you nuclear war-lords to be at war. Shebi black men are monkeys with low I.Q, let's see how you humans with superior I,Q and all the knowledge and technology do war.

Noisemakers, Iran is not match for the US, they aren't a super power. US will turn Iran into a pile of rubble in no time if they are stupid enough to go to war with the US

That is the standard expectation. Total annihilation of Iran in record time. Persia used to be a world power but that was aeons ago. However, I would like for Iran to start this war. They are definitely not alone in this. Maybe their allies in the alley would come out of the shadows now. It will be so interesting to see the alignment of world powers into extreme poles and every point in between. It's even good for Nigeria, at least, they can take their eyes off of us for a while and Boko Haram, ISWA and herdsman attack can abate for a while. Pls, don't discourage either side. Let the war begin. Let them feel a bit of what they've been orchestrating in Northern Nigeria for a while now. Let the puppet masters go to war, please.

Mario Puzo is the man that wrote 'The Godfather' , one of the greatest trilogy novels/movies of all times. Go and read his 'Fools Die' where he discussed about gambling and you'll know that most, if not all, gamblers are fools. A bet house never loses and they'll do anything and everything to sustain your interest and keep you addicted to gambling. Your foolishness is the key to their wealth, meaning las las, you a still a maga. I am not calling you personally a fool ooo. God fit pick your call thru sport bets. I'll just wish you luck.

I'm a Westerner but I must confess, South-Easterners are natural born hustlers. They are all business and good to go at any time. Those houses you see in the villas are just insurance measures in case of Nigeria breaking up or another civil war. I think the problem here is that you didn't read the full story, you just picked on the 'prayer' part of it. But he Pep's order its 'Work harder, pray better and pray' that means he recognizes that the team needs to do more before reverting to prayer. Liverpool can be funny also, they bottled it last year also when they were leading by I think 9 points or so, so Pep might be right with the prayer aspect.

If you follow the discussion to a large extent, I already admitted that his work ethics is his and only his. I should respect that.

This same lady told us that her husband caught her sending her photos to another man.

The said husband confronted her, she denied it, even when the husband requested for the said guys phone she refused to give him the real guys number but planned with another male friend of hers to pretend to be the said guy so that he will give her male friends number to the husband instead of the real guys. If you were the husband, won’t you be suspicious of her?

I have no access to previous threads about her story. However, if what you wrote is the truth, I think this woman is better off free and wild. Marriage is not meant for everybody. Rather than desecrate the institution, just walk out of it with dignity intact and live the kind of life you want to live in peace and with absolute freedom.

The prayer part is very very important to Pep and his team cos that is his belief and You have to respect that...

Did You watch 2005 champions league final between Liverpool and AC Milan during the penalty shoot out when Benitez was pictured sitting down with leg crossed on the pitch praying for his team the rest they say is history

I respect your point of view. Just because I don't believe prayer has anything to do with sport does not mean you, Pep and others should go same way. Whatever works for you is what you'll hold dear. If prayer has not work for him in football before, I guess he won't mention it. Thanks for the correction.

Seems you have problem with Pep as a person cos I see no reason why a manager will encourage his team to WORK HARD, PLAY BETTER and crown it with PRAYER and it becomes a basis for comparison with Klopp who was successful by winning the champions league and Super cup.

As far as EPL is concerned Pep is the best manager until another manager dislodge him to that....

I have no problem with Pep at all. I actually respect him a mighty lot for bringing such excitement to EPL. As per being the best manager so far, there can be no argument. It will take more than next three seasons for anyone to dislodge him. I'm just surprised at the 'prayer' part. I still don't understand, pray for what exactly? What is the prayer point going to be like? Maybe for his players not to sustain injuries, for decisions to go Man City's way more or for god of football to crown their effort. Maybe I miss that. Stating my personal observations about tactical and technical trend in EPL and European football in general may not necessarily translate to comparing Pep and Klopp. If I know the name for the kind of football Zidane plays to bring three Champions League titles in a row, you can be sure I would mention that also.

Unless your husband is a mad man, he can't ask for separation cos of these simple, innocent text messages. It's also not the first time he's talking about separation and that is the reason you are tired. There has to be a history to your marital issues that we are not privy to, hence we cannot discuss the problem objectively. Whatever decision you take, I hope it works out good for you in the end. Best of luck.
Sports / Re: We Need To Pray - Pep Guardiola by Parablesonmarble: 1:20pm On Jan 01, 2020
Pray?! From a white, thorough bred professional, that sounds odd. Pray for what exactly? For Liverpool to meet with catastrophe along the way? That would be wishing ills on others, which is sinful. Or for other teams to be arrested by 'holy ghost' fire so you can keep winning or what exactly. I think Guardiola is at his wits end. Early last decade belongs to 'tiki-taka' football as defined by Guardiola and executed by Barcelona using a group of unbelievably talented footballers to bring unprecedented success. Early this decade belongs to 'gengenpressing' football as defined by Klopp, initiated at Dortmond and perfected at Liverpool, using players that suit that system to perfection. Leave prayer alone and think of something more creative that'll make your team better and keep you relevant.

Politics / Re: ECOWAS New Currency - Compare Ghana's Response To Nigeria's Response by Parablesonmarble: 12:37pm On Dec 31, 2019
APCNig:

So you expect Nigeria to just accept it? You must be dreaming. Nigerria is West Africa, no Nigeria, no West Africa. We closed our boarders and all West African countries are crying and weeping. So, we take the shoots and as the Chairman, we speak last. If we Nigeria do not accept it, ECOWAS will have no other choice than to also rescind its decision, else we will muzzle ECOWAS to death. And with Major General Muhammadu Buhari on the seat, Nigeria can kill the whole ECOWAS economically.

I think Nigeria must be very careful. The hurried adoption is extremely well calculated. With Nigerian borders closed, the signal is that Nigeria's foreign economic policies are no longer focused on Africa in general and West Africa in particular. With that, smaller ECOWAS countries would seek economic ties and protection elsewhere. Everyone needs assurance. Breaking the Anglophone West Africa into bits and pieces and not a bloc has always been France's main headache. Now that Nigeria has unwittingly offered the chance on a platter of gold, France has taken it. The adoption also solved the problem of Morocco's incursion into the territory West African territory because they'll never adopt Eco as their own currency.
The home truth is that France's continued relevance as superpower relies heavily on keeping Francophone Africa in perpetual neo-colonization by control 50% of their foreign reserves and holding the right of first vetting any major economic decisions in these countries, which comes handy in fulfilling their own economic obligations. Present French president interned in Nigeria for a while long time ago and understands the inner workings as shown by his last state visit. It was all in the attempt of solving the ever present problem that was Nigeria's attempt to unify West Africa into viable economic bloc, which will greatly affect France's own economy and status and might be the beginning of African renaissance that Ghaddafi was pushing for and made the superpowers led by U.S. eliminate him.
If not properly handled, Nigeria will lose out and our reliance on the unsustainable oil-fueled economy will become greater. You cannot isolate yourself just to prove you are bigger than the rest. You need allies. Not even U.S. or Russia has ever completely isolated themselves. Even North Korea has a loose alliance with Iran. Hopefully, Nigeria will outmanoeuvre France in the long run as you predicted, otherwise.....I sense trouble.

I'm a man not a lady sha, but I'm still gonna share an experience I had at lectures long long time a go. A lady sitting next to me at d lectures started scratching her head so intensely and at a point I felt like maybe she was trying to get my attention but I still didn't do anything sha, even a lady opposite us just kind of looked at both of us sharply as if we both involved in d drama. Was dat a green light or was she genuinely disturbed? Who knows?

Lol. Lice infested somebody for head, she dey scratch jejely, you wan come go call that one green light. You for try talking to her and she go let you know say na red-light-special she dey signal with a razor-sharp tongue. On a more serious note, preening and constant rearrangement of the hair or even any indication of extreme discomfiture when close to you may or may not be signs of attraction, but surely, they are signs showing she's conscious of your presence. Hers may be uncontrollable itching, some sweat on palms and soles, some others just become listless for no just cause and so on. If God created women last, then they are highest on the evolutionary tree and the most complex. You can only try your best, but understanding them fully takes amazing grace.

Downside of overexposure of children without proper control measure. During your time, there are few radio stations, a couple of TV stations, land line phones, no internet and every mature man in your hood is referred to as 'daddy' and partly responsible for your moral upbringing. Today, we all know of what's happening in the U.S. right now, we have mothers rooting for Tacha and fathers rooting for Mercy while the children can steal away from bed to see if Gedoni is going to try and do Khafi tonight. If your EFCC is not after your daddy for sharp practices, then SARS are after your uncle either for involving cult activities or being a Yahoo boy. We've already been hit. Now don't cause more problems for us by telling these numb skulls that the gains is concentrated in the Middle belt and the South ooo. Middle belt people have suffered enough in the bid of our dear Government to re-distribute the wealth in there. That is also why pythons have been dancing and crocodiles smiling in the South for more than three years. That is why RUGA is the best thing that would ever happen to Nigeria according to our leaders. Its not as a result of prolonged and systematic miseducation of the Notherners to keep them in perpetual darkness of thought, free will and creation of wealth. The pervasive poverty also has nothing to do with government policies, appointment of the wrong people in sensitive posts, selective fight of corruption and wrong advises from selected few that sees all and knows all. It simply because Nigerian youths are lazy lots.

Agriculture / Re: Between Broilers And Layers by Parablesonmarble: 11:03am On Dec 29, 2019
Depends on your focus. Ordinarily, the thing to do is to calculate the next festive period from this point (identify your market), which is likely to be Easter. For that, broiler is better because they are mature and ready for market latest between 9-12 weeks depending on the breed. Some breeds are even good to go as early as the 7th week. Any money spent on feeding afterwards is a waste. Just sell, make fast bucks and target the next festive period, probably Salah. However, layers are long term, high maintenance investment. If you take layers now, they will start laying by 18 weeks, with laying peaking at around 30 weeks of age and decline starting around 52 weeks of age ( although some breeds can lay on for 2 years), depending on breed, feed formula and care. Hence, from 18 weeks, you can start making money on layers until they are almost spent by 52 weeks. Calculating that, it means you can make money on layers for almost a year and sell them off at the next Christmas/ New Year festive period.
For me, because fast bucks is involved, maintenance period is reduced and it affords me the chance of flexible business decision, I'll go for broiler and when I'm adept in poultry business, I can venture into layers. Humble personal opinion

Once love is one sided, the story never ends well. Whoever is meant to be in your life will stay and appreciate you and whoever is not meant to stay would fall out by omission or commission and be unappreciative of the special moments you had together. Ignore the excuse and just man up, mourn her 'demise' from your world for a while and move on with life. Las, las, you'll be fine....I promise you.

Education / Re: What If Writing Is My Calling by Parablesonmarble: 2:25am On Dec 29, 2019
You think you need sponsors? I think if you are that brilliant a writer, what you need is internship. Identify an established writer of choice, home or abroad, open up correspondence and see if you can intern with him/her. Adichie, Okri et al all interned with established authors before coming into limelight. You might know much, but there is always much more to learn. To write well, you need to be cerebral as well as have a rush of inspiration from time to time, but for starters, someone more experienced must vet your works. The best players in all sports still engage coaches/ trainers to succeed. Once you are ready, you'll discover you already have publishers waiting. Waiting for someone to invest in you in Naija is a very long shot and going it alone could be real tough. Best of luck, buddie.
Re-read what you wrote up there. Do you think Nigerian Shylocks will take you serious with so much typos in so few sentences? Not to diss you cos i don't subscribe to petty attitudes like that but you need some coaching first. My sincere opinion.
