Ekpeitut:Oil dey your head. You are just super saying it all. Where were these ignoramuses when the Fulani herdsmen were tearing ths country apart with tears, pain and blood. Amotekun is only a response to insecurity that is the reality in this country as we speak. When there was no marauding herdsmen, there was no amotekun now! If you want national unity, don't push your boundaries. |
BuhariLooter:You Northerners will cut them off in terms of funding?! Please, enlighten me, how much do you think the north contribute to the GDP of the present day Nigeria to be dictating who and who not to fund? This is to say you presume North will stay in power in a united Nigeria till infinity! You should start thinking all over again. Matter of lives and properties of the Westerners has nothing to do with your stupid restructuring, you parasitic worms. Our leaders can't stand akimbo allowing all forms of criminalities just because of the fear of how anyone would perceive their actions. Their inactions will never be rewarded. For your information, your dumb leader may succeed in proscribing ipob as a terrorist group now, while protecting the real terrorists, bandits, rapists and arsonists in the name of herdsmen but that won't be forever. Ipob is not a terrorist group. They only asked for self determination. Amotekun is here to stay. |
yrex01:That one person is bad should not make you do bad things and go bad yourself. Just let AJ be his good, respectful self. That baba go hear am when time comes. He is still playing the ostrich with the head in the sand now. |
Lol. Sai baba. You no fit lie. Just as you have fulfilled all your campaign promises, ensure that all elections under your watch have been free and fair and ultimately moved Nigeria to the next level by making sure all key positions in your cabinet are held by the best hands available. |
That is to tell you that education does not end with books and in classrooms. Travelling to different places, meeting different people, learning about new cultures, having different experiences and keeping an open mind is really where education starts. Welcome to Nigeria. |
Op, please, are you preaching or correcting or motivating or what exactly are you trying to do? All I see up there is hasty generalization! What works for you is good for you and you are not answerable to anyone for it as long as you are breaking no law or causing any inconvenience to anyone! So, to you now, if a married couple have sex for recreation and not for procreation in the recess of their abode, they have broken the law and are trying to cause you sleepless night? I'm confused. |
Staro:I maintain this, it does not take being Igbo to know ipob is never a terrorist group, it only takes the thing between your ears working properly. Mazi Nnamdi KANU is not COWARD. He who fight to live, live to fight another day. His gambit is top notch and I can't help but admire him. He is moving a step further now, ignoring sentiments and moving towards his ultimate aim. I hail thee, NK. The North is making it difficult for Nigeria to stay united. How can Hisbah and civilian JTF remain and Amotekun and ipob be banned. All cries about politicians using these militias as oppression tools is far fetched. First let's stop the marauding Fulani herdsmen in their track first. If Bakassi Boys and OPC failed in the bid to be used as oppression tools, then Amotekun and Ipob shall fail in that bid too. |
Limitednow:What happened in the past should remain in the past. The only point of history is to avoid negative history repeating itself. All those 'tales by moonlight' told to us will not help this generation. Let's start afresh, unite and be strong, demand for right and just leadership and hold every single leader accountable for his stewardship instead of throwing jibes and trading blames. Divide and rule is the reality we face right now. If it is not Shagari/Ekweme ticket, then it will be Buhari/Oshinbajo or Atiku/Obi ticket. As long as we stay divided, ipob and amotekun will remain illegal while hisbah police will be sole prerogative of the state operating it. |
EagleNest:Something is happening in the Catholic Church. Their new breed of Reverends are preaching like the Protestants of old, trying to free people from the lies of the old Catholic Church while the new generation churches and most Orthodox Protestant churches are trying to hold people down with biblical gimmicks. I read a piece here on NL on Sunday by another Catholic Reverend explaining fear and faith in reference to first fruit and it was a beautiful piece, just like this one. I think there is paradigm shift going on in the church. |
seunmsg:Our governors are just power drunk set of people. I really do not agree when people say it happening in only one section of the country. During the colonial era, it was a common thing to drag tradtional stools in the mud for political reasons but for a Nigerian to do that, Abacha opened the flood gate way back when he deposed the sitting Sardauna of Sokoto and replaced him with another, rightly or wrongly. For the records, in the West, former Governor Ajimobi of Oyo state desecrated the Olubadan stool for political reasons. In the North, Governor Ganduje is desecrating the Emir of Kano stool for political reasons. Now, in the South-South, Governor Wike is doing just same. It has nothing to do with party affiliation. Its the reflection of how we regard our cultures and traditions in present day Nigeria. |
Wait until you die. You will see where they end up there and then make up your mind about who is greater. |
LabDNA:I don't see what this fuss is about. The East had a good idea, the West copied and executed it, what is wrong in that? Must the West wait for the East to execute this original idea first before they can start theirs when they already have resources on ground? Should they go to the East to take permission first? Or is it that they are suppose to go to mountain top and tell the world they copied a patented idea from the East? Let the East go on and execute their own plans as soon as possible to increase security in the whole of the South and give everyone peace of mind. As long as security is guaranteed in every part of the country, its a win-win situation. Sometimes, the thing we discuss here are just too petty. Did anyone award a trophy to the West for initiating Operation Amotekun? Did they receive any money or special favour from the center for it? Even primary school children shouldn't stoop this low. |
ValCon888:Yours eyes are very good and I like that. I can imagine long, elegant legs hidden under her boubou too. Nice piece of work of art she seem. |
With good money in your account, your options are limitless. Even if I won't spend it like this mad man, dear God, please I need mad money in my account too. |
adeniyi3971:Definitely, there is a problem with her using the jet in private capacity. Please, google the reason why Mrs Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Israeli prime minister, was sentenced in 2019. Just for ordering meal from a restaurant with government money when they already have official chef and money budgeted for their meals. Public resources cannot be used indiscriminately for private purposes by any public official. Invitation to Hannan to showcase her photography skills is a private venture and should have been executed with private resources. |
Olatunji1929:Excellent decision. That man, Akintola, is a disgrace to all his constituencies. He makes his academic honour of being a Nigerian professor questionable, brings disrepute to the Yoruba race and drag Islam in the mud all the time just in the name of unnecessary eye- service. In his mind, he is a political and religious activist. I wonder how his children would feel about his consistent nonsensical behaviors. Shake my head. |
TooMuchStuff:I just realised that the power thirsty Fulanis are the real 'Beasts of no Nation'. Wikipedia says they are of obscure origin associated with Sudan and only migrated to Senegal in 14th century. Can they go back to claim Senegal or Sudan as their root and stop causing troubles here? How were the Hausas so stupid to let these beasts without origin dominate them and coin out the Hausa/Fulani as we know it today. Really, enough is enough. If they try retaining power up north for any reason at all, we should all go our different ways. |
jimyjames:They must think everyone of us goes to school only to come back empty headed like what the almajiri system yields them. How can ipob be proscribed a terrorist group when they don't hurt people while the Fulani herdsmen that killed in numbers be excused on economic and political grounds. You do not need to be Igbo to qualify as an ipob sympathizer. You only need the thing in between yours ears working. Arewa youths are kicking against operation amotekun while hisbah policing is just and right to them. Their hypocrisy reeks to high heavens. For the mere fact that it is happening to the Igbo does not mean any other ethnic or tribe is safe. Even the Hausas are not safe from the Fulanis when we look deep down into issues. The banditry and kidnapping in North West shows us that the Fulanis are oppressing the Hausas in their ancestral home based on some stupid Fodio's jihad nonsense that belongs to the history book and not this new century we are in. |
vonxe:Thanks a lot. I'm always reluctant to post any of my critical thoughts and observations on NL. There are some very intelligent people that relate perfectly and disagree or agree with you with a measure of decorum and respect. That way we can all learn more. However, some people here, unlike quora, can be abusive and dismissive, which is never good for any intellectual discuss. I'm glad we have people like you here. To the topic, I know my submissions are hypothetical, to say the least ,but this is a good topic to research thoroughly so as to have a good understanding of how heterogeneous environment like Nigeria works and how to minimize conflict in such environment. All hypotheses should be tested in search of sound theories. I totally agree with the points you made. Its only natural to any underdog to be aversed to perceived oppression. Thanks again. |
mubzynani:Please, let's take it easy with Perpetual. Maybe she knows something we don't know. In football, there are so much politicking going on than you know. Let's cut her some slacks. A legend with 88 goals in 99 appearances for Nigeria, best of any Nigerian footballer ever (male ot female) deserves some respect irrespective of any perceived mistake. Let's just be glad that in the end, Oshoala is still considered the best and still on course to add to her CAF best awards. |
jimyjames:Ipobs can never be a terrorist group in the mind of any sensible person. Partisan politics can bring anything, most often lies. I am no Igbo but I know ipob is a legit group with legit agitation. Marriage shouldn't be by force. If love is no longer in a marriage, let the couples part to avoid conflict and catastrophe. Where is the unity in Nigeria when every single sensitive post in the country is held by one hausa-fulani Muslim or the other. Discount Boss Mustapha. Boss is an English word, Mustapha is an Arabic name. There is nothing Christian about him while Oshinbajo is just a stooge in the corridor of power. |
Zico5:This Fr's piece is the best I have read about Christian faith in a long while. He explained it in a sensible manner such that you do not need to read twice to understand. There's no point of argument with this person you quoted. If the deed of absolute brainwashing has been done, you can hardly undo it. Since it is said that 'you shall know the truth and the truth will set you free', some will be freed by this piece. However, it doesn't matter what you say or do, some will remain in captivity. Its no fate or destiny, its a choice. |
Turantula:Smart one there. Your head correct no be small. |
Which national unity are they talking about? For their mind, this Nigeria we live in is united bah? No more freedom to kill, to steal and to destroy like the devil in you commanded you to do. Arewa Youths are the lazy youths their father was referring to and not the Southerners that have the concentration of people generating the nation's wealth. Leave Amotekun and ipob alone, focus on developing your region, reducing illiteracy, controlling population explosion, reducing poverty in the North and contributing significantly to Nigeria's GDP. That's far more important than meddling where you have no business. |
Most guys doesn not know what companionship means to a woman. Most men cannot relate to your pain. From the financial angle, the guy deserves an accolade but a woman is not a piece of expensive furniture that can be bought and maintained for its aesthetic value only and to be used only when the need arise and you have the time to use it.. A woman is human and wants attention at all times. If you love her truly, your heart would always long for her and you would want to reach out to her daily. I've seen a beautiful woman driven into the hands of a jobless bachelor in spite of all the money her husband has due to a singular reason - loneliness. They are still shamelessly shagging each other after three years and it is obvious it has nothing to do with love. Love entails passion / sex, intimacy/ companionship and commitment/ decision making in equal measure to elicit balanced emotion. Once one is missing, be sure to see the deficiency sign like this lady is showing now. Eating carbohydrate and protein will alone will sustain you but doesn't qualify for eating balanced diet. Sooner or later, deficiency signs of lack of vitamins, minerals, roughages and water would show and make the person unhealthy. If you push this issue under the carpet and you eventually get married, be sure that it doesn't matter what you do then, you'll be prone to cheating. Money is good but its not enough to buy you happiness. |
emeijeh:I hold Perpetual in high esteem as one of the best footballer out of Nigeria ever, scoring 88 goals in 99 caps. The first thing that came to my mind was that did she vote against Assisat to prevent her from equalling her own CAF award records? However, I think that will be too petty a reason. I wish I could speak with her and understand her rationale. Maybe she knows something we don't know. I'm glad Assisat made it in the end. |
gotnel:I only hope its as offline as you think. It being off the course is best for everyone. I just would have loved it if you enlighten me about the broader scope of things so I'll be wiser in contributing at other times. I can only say the much I know or think. Thanks. |
MarrisManah:Once is a mistake or a random act, twice is a coincidence, thrice is a pattern. Two earthquakes plus a plane crash and other classified occurrences shielded from the press around same place is a source of worry, especially at this time in Iran. Thinking back to the addendum I read in Michael Crichton's ' Congo', all these superpowers have been developing machines to influence weather and natural disasters since 1979. Hope its not what I'm thinking. |
oglalasioux:I'm sorry, I can't help but quote you. You based your argument on the assumption that the man must have done something wrong with the sim. You have no fact whatsoever to justify your statement except that the man is a Nigerian and a fraudster in the making. So disappointing. What if he didn't do anything wrong? Put yourself in the shoes of that man. Just what if he's innocent but held for precautionary reasons. 1. It is not illegal to recycle sim or else the service provider would be at fault. 2. It is not illegal to legitimately acquire sim card 3. Buhari's daughter is a high profile person that needs protection from all kinds of crazy things that can happen and that ought to be done as covertly as possible by the 'secret' service. 4. Once the recycling is noticed, the service has enough muscle to recall the sim or wipe all link to their principal to avert any trouble. 5. If the man has done anything wrong, it is against his fundamental human right to be held from July to December without charging him to court. 6. Up until now, no one has come out to corroborate your claim that the man has done something wrong with that sim. 7. Its not exactly easy for the man and his lawyer to sue the secret service if there is something to hide. 8. Admit that you may be wrong in your assumption. That is more honorable than your grandstanding. The last winner of the Nobel Laureate for Chemistry recently openly admitted that she made mistakes with her submissions making the experiment irreproducible by other scientists world wide, hence she withdrew her submission. Everyone applauded her for admitting she's human and its human to err. We all make mistakes. Admit yours and maintain your respect. 9. Otherwise you can keep grandstanding but I'll pray something like this should come your way sooner rather than later so that you can use your high level reasoning to say thank you to the secret service for thorough job well done after your unwarranted incarceration. 10. You can keep counting the mentions. They only tell you that you may not be right after all. Your comment smirks of hypocrisy. Being stupid and vindictive are now virtues that we must accept as norms in the spirit of democracy and the mantras of ' change' and 'next level'.Pathetic. It may be a reflection of how you think but not how every Nigerian thinks. Those that are not like you and your ilk took some time out to point to you that these kind wrongs will never be accepted as normal thing in their lives. We still have sensible, upright Nigerians in spite of our daily challenges. 11. Have a wonderful night. |
Apart from good study plan you adopt, discipline and dedication plus grace are key to good grades in all and every exam. Restrict your social time strictly to alloted few hours per day and make your study your best friend that you dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per day to, giving it all the concentration you'll give a woman you just fell in love with. You'll be surprised how your books will fall in love with you too and a minimum of 300 will be waiting for you. |
ArmaniUhuru:You failed to add that while eating up Femi Adeshina, Garbage Shehu should be the appetizer, Lie Muhammed the dessert and Gloria Onoche as the napkin for cleaning. It was a joint statement by all of them. They just push dumb Adeshina forward to speak. Leave bubu and the jackals or is it cabal for dinner. |
