Well... Basically all I did today was to set up my environment but I have an idea of what activity and layout is...

Activity is the actions of the app while layouts describes the appearance of the screen

I'm practicing with my phone and my laptop...

With my fone, I was able to build my first app

With my laptop, I was able to build(according to HeadFirst)but I'm not able to run it because I can't create an Android virtual device due to sub issues... I'll do that 2moro Sha...
By the way.. I'm having issues with my activity_main.xml... I expected to see a code editor but I saw a design editor... I'm getting to understand it sha

My First app with my fone

You won't enjoy your learning with Java N IDE instead use AIDE. You will be able to add libraries to the build, it works like AS. The only thing it does not support is new features in Android development such as Jetpack features.
As for the book, I have read HFAD it's a great book but the latest version doesn't touch most Android components especially Content provider. At the end of the book you see the topics that are not covered(you must know content provider if your aim is to work for a company, that's the first question you will be challenged with during interview) . There are other books I will recommend. All the books I want to recommend I have read them. HFAD 2nd edition, Android programming: Big Nerd Ranch 3rd and (4th edition is in kotlin), Android Cook book (from different authors), Android studio development essential edition 3.0 ~4.0, The Busy coder for Android 9 (it is a great reference book). I have tons of books I have not read both on Android and Spring boot. The learning curve is steep but it's fun and enjoyable.

The basics is key. Happy coding!

When SilverNorGold said MH won the debate, I told him that David Wood won instead.

Here is my analysis on the show.

The topic was Tahweed and Trinity (both concepts are some how difficult to dive into I think thats why they chose that topic).

If you are the type that does analysis on topics you would know MH did not address most of what David Wood raised during the session. Hijab was not debating he was just ranting and raging, his responses or let me say replies were on attack on Islam, he did not talk more on tahweed.
Hijab knew that he will never win debating logically with David as it has seen in the past debates. So, this time he went rough/verbal attack and make some illogical statements on the podium. He is inconsistent, claiming the other side is embarrassing, claiming that there are other interpretations of Arabic that only he understands. His arguments are convincing only to Muslims who recognize the arguments he references. A muslim is deeply impressed by all the quranic knowledge of the muslim apologist, especially if he is able to mix a lot of Quranic Arabic through his plea. He personally attacked David Wood instead of refuting his points.
He created an atmosphere with his silly fans that made many including you think he won. For example, David Wood asked him: Allah and his angel prayed FOR the prophet. Whom did Allah pray to?
Muhammed hijab replied: I know this is coming. Read the correct translation.
Allah and his angel prayed FOR the prophet not TO the prophet. The moment he read the supposed correct translation the incessant cheering from the his fans for one party was embarrassing. Sensible and logical person would know he didn't refute David Wood.

David Wood is a great debater he has great knowledge of quran and hadith. He is not afraid to debate anyone. It is perhaps for this reason that Dr. Zakir Naik has refused to debate him.

First, you must go to history to actually understand the Qur'an. You cannot just sit in a beer parlor and begin to gather misquotations you copied from anti-Islam blogs. You have to do better than that. I am not even a Muslim, but see how easy it was for me to disprove your allegations.

The reason behind these verses is that the mushrikeen, who were pagans, and other leaders, like the monarch of Mecca all waged war against Mohammed at that time. The Prophet and his new converts were persecuted and decrees were made to stop Prophet Muhammad as the number of converts were intimidating. Not only that, there were countless of failed assassination attempts on the Prophet's life. They had to flee.

But this too didn't help. The Arabs joined, thousands of Muslims were wiped out. This led to the Battle of the Trench.. Despite the ruthless massacre and near annihilation, some survived.

There are so many others, but I'll be brief.. All these resulted in the verses of self defense and Jihad, which means "fighting for survival".. The Qur'an never preached that non-muslims be killed. In fact, Qur'an 5:32 said: "Whoever kills a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it is as though he has killed the whole of humanity. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he has saved the whole of humanity.”..

Here, it's absolutely clear the Qur'an is against what you are falsely accusing it of. It only teaches self defense and most of those verses were made in the battlefield.
