LiteratureRe: What Kind Of Books Do You Read? by Parnassuss(m): 5:51pm On Jul 06, 2010
I just read a book "The Prayer of The Frog 2" by Anthony DeMello, a catholic mystic. There is a short story in the book that tells of the hazard of reading blindly. A woman couldn't fix setup an electric fan after using the manual, she decided to take break. Upon her return, her illiterate maid had fixed it perfectly. "how did you do it she asked?" "well" the maid replied, "since i have not learned to read i am forced to use my brain."
this is not a moral on just blind reading but generally on shortsighted education. Peace  smiley

SportsRe: Reps Reject Jonathan’s Ban On Super Eagles. by Parnassuss(m): 12:32pm On Jul 02, 2010
House of Fuks. The most useless place in Nigeria; the most corrupt, dirty, base, degenirate and despicable house in Nigeria. No be these same people dey back the N10B 50th anniversary celebrations, with Ndume still opposing. How these people dey fit look themselves 4 mirror conclude say they still be human beings. I no fit know. If I ever enter Hell find myself with even one of these monsters, I go protest, them don do pass I fit ever do 4 dis life.
See foolish excuses, 'wrath of FIFA', 'youth's future' and 'more armed robbery'. See dung-eaters. Let FIFA ban us more, I conclude say the two years too small cos we might still have a chance to compete in the Nations Cup then. The absence of football as the only priority of sports in Nigeria will allow other sports like basketball, boxing, teakwondo, wrestling, tennis and track events, which we have a potential to excell in, to develop. And as for the 'more robbery', it will be good for the police to shoot at something legitimately, else they might just get bored and shoot civilians.
CareerRe: She Sacked Me because Am A Lesbian by Parnassuss(m): 3:39pm On Jun 30, 2010
the daughter is the biggest dunce in the story. Everywhere the wind blows is where she goes, led by mommy and bed by Jenny.
CareerRe: She Sacked Me because Am A Lesbian by Parnassuss(m): 3:36pm On Jun 30, 2010
The Jenny chick (if there really is one) is stupid. I'll go with Christ on this one; don't hate the sinner, just hate the sin.
Her madam had nothing against her personally, I'm sure if Hilary Clinton had dated the madam's daughter, the result would not have varied substantially.
I too would not hesitate to fire the Jenny babe, for even though It can't be assured that the daughter will 'repent', it would not be for any lack on the part of the parent.
@uju, I'm not hating but really if everyone turned gay, how would the species survive? I am being factual here but homosexuality is unnatural, nature don't like GAYS.
CultureRe: Should Inter-tribal Marriages Be Encouraged? by Parnassuss(m): 2:51pm On Jun 30, 2010
NobiGod:
Talking culture in Nigeria as if  the difference in culture is that huge. I don't see how an Urhobo guy for example would find marrying an Igbo girl of much difference culturally( except for the bride-price of course).

I think religion is more polarising than culture. It useto be that tribal and culturally differences were bane to inter-tribal marriages. There is much better tolerance now I think.
I agree with the summation on religion, inter-religion would be tasking.

ThoniaSlim:
Coming from an inter tribal family myself, I've never had an issue with inter tribal marriage neither has it been an issue on my dad's part. My mum's always been the one drumming it down my ears to marry an igbo man despite the fact my dad isn't igbo. Funny!

But I think the only time my dad would have a problem with tribe issue would be if I brought a hausa man as my husband to be. Nw that would be a hilarious scene to watch.
I am available. I like long works (in an office), singing in the rain (under a roof), riding bicycles and making stinking money. Oh yeah, i'm also Igbo.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Do We Have Respect For Privacy? by Parnassuss(m): 2:57pm On Jun 25, 2010
Men, people can be sanctimonious. WTF, privacy is your to keep. If ur fone is tapped, or ur spied on, then its out of ur hands. But stop all this privacy crap, why are sites like Facebook, twitter and skype the vogue? Simply cos pple love to show themselves. I assure you Poster, that had Aandoaka not stolen, nobody would have 'invaded' his airspace or that of his children'. Notoriety usually has that effect, it is not the everyday norm.
PoliticsRe: Aondokaa, barred From Entering The United States by Parnassuss(m): 2:35pm On Jun 25, 2010
But still its not cool that saharareporters published their (the kids) names blatantly so, it will most likely direct unnecessary attention towards them. Those semi-hot chicks, eiya!
PoliticsRe: Aondokaa, barred From Entering The United States by Parnassuss(m): 2:32pm On Jun 25, 2010
If i was Aandoaka's kid, i don't think smtin as trivial as not visiting the US would bug me much. If Popsi dey hammer craze, wetin concern me. If them deport me, well UK and Canada still dey if na by force to travel.
There is absolutely no way these kids were ignorant of their father's mode of sourcing income, also they benefited directly from him. Humiliation is humiliating, but does it remove the food in their mouths? No! They should start worrying when his assets get frozen by foreign governments. Now that gives cause for concern.

Blatant lie. Naija had A GAME PLAN, these Camees think its cos they are big and strong they can just bully the Kami Kazees, the Japanese have not lost to any African team in their 5 encounters, and they aren't looking like letting up now. Best i see is a draw 4 Cameroun. And stop that silly comparison, we played beta, just with tougher opponents u shmuck (Thor)
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel’s Critics And Hollow Lies by Parnassuss(m): 5:38pm On Jun 10, 2010
@ frosbel, sori i lost my head 4 a min there. ANY1 who has an iota of reasoning, can manipulate an argument to his favour when there's none to counter him immediately, the Isrealis have further reaching crimes than simply building fences, and the blockade, what about unlawful land occupation, displacing millions and suppressing their voices still, these palestinians are choking now, they were ready to dialougue yet Isreal spat in there faces, and you say they shouldn't fight back. They don't hate the Jews as much as the Jews hate AND FEAR them. Even though they resort to self sacrifice, they have more honour than the effed Jews who racist Jews, who believe themselves superior to all on earth.
Also, i'm tired of the holocaust card they keep playing. Even though it was horrid, not one percent of the present Isreal met it, and besides, was it Arabs who did that to them, let em go face the Germans and lets see if there's a tomorrow for them.
You say God bless Isreal, i say God bless every where else.   smiley
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel’s Critics And Hollow Lies by Parnassuss(m): 12:36pm On Jun 10, 2010
Fck u! I hope my msg is clear, Bleep you Frosbel, think those hardboiled oppressors even consider political niceties, their paranoia destroys lives by the barrels each day and they still say they're right. I don't support the way the activists went about the flotilla biz but to justify Isreal's actions is just evil. By the blockade they arent keeping out as many enemies as they are making. the small shred of understanding I had for the state is gone with the wind. So Bleep you i say again.

PoliticsRe: Sanusi Seeks Removal Of Fuel Subsidy by Parnassuss(m): 12:20pm On Jun 09, 2010
Like all things, this has its goodside, and counter. But like all things IN NIGERIA, this will probably end with some1 getting kicked out of office and another 'final solution' creeps up to answer all queries. The crux here lies in our debt, rising in warp speed. I feel Sanusi though, i think its time we introduced 'austerity measures' to our governments, they spend like wide fire burns, and never have sh*t to show. angry
