Music/RadioRe: Worst Songs Of 2010. by Parnassuss(m): 7:09pm On Dec 29, 2010
Easy, the answer is; "G, G, Girl" by Whizkid, the artiste is all kid and no whiz.
Also contending are "Pussy cat" Jessy Jagz, Samkleff's (what kinda name's that btw) "Nor ni" and Mode 9's "Bad Man" (I love Mode but the truth's got to be said).
Kas' "Fimile" has great beats but the lyrics were WHACK. I don't mean smacking either.
PoliticsRe: Acn Dumps Ribadu! by Parnassuss(m): 6:37pm On Dec 29, 2010
I think this is a test for Ribadu; will he distinguish himself from the crowd of bootlicking grovellers a.k.a politicians and work for the good of the party and the nation at large to oust this horrid PDP, or will he play the ever present Iago and sulk his way out. He has been called an egomaniac, if he truly is then I believe he will take the latter road.
Buhari is NOT the strongest candidate from the North, he is the practical the Nation can produce in this quagmire.

This would have been provocating if it were mendacious, but it's not. Since it's the truth, it should be taken as a call for moral ablution.
Yo dude, I don't think Nigeria should be slandered at every given opportunity regardless of our reputation. They are not paragons of morality themselves why do they then thrive on insulting us? If any other country painted America in such a light they'd be beside themselves with indignation. I say Bleep the USA, they can eat ma dicke (no homo). Naija boys, get your money up.

PoliticsRe: Finally! Nigeria No Longer Big Brother –NEC by Parnassuss(m): 1:59pm On Oct 27, 2010
Why that foolish Aganga no mention the BB roles way we need rescind from! I dey wait, anybody tell me which charity we dey give out steady?
This country shouldn't decieve itself. The big brov role did not exist to the extent we stretched it. Liberia and all other African war zones that we tackle are the reason most Generals stay semi-busy. Also AFRICAN UNION and the UN contributes alot for these missions. If we withdraw from that, we'll have too much idle military testosterone in the country. Frogeting that, are we providing CONSTANT aid to other countries or do we not just occasionally give (depending on the policy of the incumbent presido).
Abeg, no be imaginary BB role dey deplete our resources, everybody know that one! angry

When did Jonathan say IBB was involved? I do not remember him or anyone in his camp inferring any such idea, please this is heating up the polity unnecessarily.
Also why resign, he pointed a finger which was wrong but why can't he just apologize and carry on like every other situation would demand?
RomanceRe: I Want Her But She Calls Me 'Uncle' by Parnassuss(m): 8:56pm On Oct 20, 2010
Gtitan:
For the first question: My mother was 17 when she married  a 29 years old writer who worked in a book publishing company.  By the time she was twenty 28, she had raised 4 children, and earn a bachelors degree in law.  At 32 she had two more kids and managed to bag a masters degree in social work.  At sixty five she is retired from working with the united nations and is presently living with her eldest daughter and grand children in the United states.  OH, I am Italian and I spent most of my life in Nigeria, in fact I am a Nigerian citizen. My father passed away seven years ago.

Lastly please, women should begin to understand the need to be responsible for a family (their own family) from the age of 20. In fact seven years from twenty and your clock starts to tick. My sister is a doctor at an IVF clinic and they will tell you that the younger patients are more likely to get pregnant than older patients, older patients meaning 30years and above. Please sisters on this thread, if you as sitting your buts down and laughing at an 18 year old planning to marry some guy and you are unmarried without children, THINK AGAIN.

For the second question: Only and uneducated and backward thinking culture still see women as not equal to men in specific areas such as an education and career development, a well enlightened man/husband would understand the need for his wife to fulfil/achieve most/if not all the objectives she has set for herself in life.  I am a strong supporter of personal development and believe that marriage has/and should never be a barrier to personal development or life achievements in fact marriage is an addition to these values.  Hence my friend, marriage should not stop any 20 year old woman from being who or what she wants to be in life (except a hooker LOL!!!)
Gtitan i don't agree. I see young ppl getting married TODAY and guess that it must have different years back. Ladies now don't want to submit and men can't get their egos in check. Marriage is getting harder by the year and the only way to checkmate this is not by nearly throwing girls into the situation when they are merely girls, but finding compatibility between couples. It is this age-caused rush that will eventually be the headstone to women graves in married life.

Truth. Rooney's been great but its taken a lot of patience from the fans and manager to achieve this. I don't think Man-U'll lose too much by letting him go, he wouldn't give his all anyway. Fergie too hasn't shown the best foresight these days his selections have been gotten more lopsided and ridiculous; Owen, Chichablah-blah, no reasonable defensive buy in a while. Still,

GoldCircle:
Let him go! The club is bigger than him and will move on in no time. After all, better players have left in the past!

No one (Not even Sir Alex) is bigger than Man utd.

PoliticsRe: Gej's Latest Facebook Update by Parnassuss(m): 7:52pm On Oct 13, 2010
Virtuous A:
Everythin in Nigeria has been politiced. People should know that "blaming" is a negative attitude. Apat from our military presidents, the blamers had done this b4 now, had niknamed OBJ, then Yaradua as "go slow" , now it is GEJ who is just 8 months in office. Well my good people of Naija, let's stop this confusion and be positive. Every blaming sentences here, will be surprise at the response of the "real life". E.g Fans of IBB fighting GEJ's in facebook, where the same IBB is in facebook, etc. please let's move on n stop pointing accusing fingers.
None's saying that the President is a total failure, it is the aggravating fact that most of his facebook posts are more or less fictitious than factual that pisses ppl off. There is a heavy disconnect from what he states on FB and what is done is real life. The FB posts are always lofty and polished, can you tell that there is any correllation on ground? I know the days are young yet, but his very heavy spending which should have assured expediency, has out given virtually nothing. Remi Bablola said this and was kicked to the curb and even Soludo came out to back that up.
GEJ may not have had time to cure Nigeria's every plight but he's been around long enough to convince people of his dedication to serve. He hasn't proven beyond doubt that he is THE MAN for Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Gej's Latest Facebook Update by Parnassuss(m): 8:27pm On Oct 12, 2010
eros:
Good question. Why should he have a facebook account and not a nairaland account. Talk about promoting Nigeria Made
You don kill the talk bury am. GEJ, practice what you preach.

alexleo:
you people are here hitting your head on the wall over a man who has spent few months as president. Expecting him to build a country that took several years to be destroyed in few months. Is he a miracle worker? And some lazy people are here talking about 26 year old who established facebook. What stops you from establishing your own? Is nairaland not owned by a Nigerian like you? Keep waiting for government to spoon feed you. Those of us who graduated from the university and are employers of labour today did we wait for government? Keep deceiving yourselves and heaping all your woes on GEJ instead of being awake to realities of life.
Fella, ure right in the enboldened are, however can u really say that the problem of Nigeria is the youth's laziness, cos i know that would not fly in ANY debate circle. I won't even try to give instances to back my claim, whereever you are, just look closely at the 'unfortunates' and tell me u really bliv the theory you just shared!

Pat Etteh, Ndi Okereke-Onyiuke, Daisy Danjuma (for a brief while), Dora Akunyili (as info minister) and now Cecilia Ibru.
Women were once thought to be the missing component to fix the effed up Nigerian machinery but they seem to be just as screwed as the male counterparts. Then again these women usually have their husbands in on the take too.
The punishment is too mild. Even writing out such a long list with INTENT to steal should carry a life sentence.
PoliticsRe: IBB, OBJ Clash by Parnassuss(m): 3:43pm On Oct 08, 2010
The fact is none of the leaders before Babangida could phantom you could steal like he did and get away with it. Babangida set the Billionaire standard for the leaders after him. Every Nigerian leader from then on must try to steal a billion dollars. Abacha, Ibori, Igbinedion etc are all Babangida's creation.

To that is the major point.
OBJ may be good to mock but in all truthfullness the man set some very steady foundations for SOMEONE ELSE TO DEVELOP ON. I hate Yaradua cos he inherited a much beta Nigeria than he left. IBB is just the embodiment of evil and wrong. I love OBJ, I don't think many could have done beta in his shoes, it mustn't have been easy all those dogs scrambling for positions to gorge themselves on and he keeping them at bay. I still no gree say the Otta farmer stole TOO MUCH or any degree comparable to IBB's.
PoliticsRe: This Is ARMED Mend. 48hrs Before The Explosions In Abuja. video. by Parnassuss(m): 2:01pm On Oct 05, 2010
This thing seem stage managed. I cannot imagine why MEND would chose this period of all periods to get up in arms. Its also fortuitous that this is election time or doesn't anyone else think so. Whoever is pulling this string is a very powerful opponent that WANTS TO SEE NIGERIA FALL. I can't even imagine IBB behind this, it is too extreme and would only turn around to bit him in the long run.
Call me an airhead, but i think its about time ppl start taking all that gist in recent hollywood movies about a war in Nigeria serious. Could be that the pieces are finally being moved.  lipsrsealed

Allah says in the Quran; A bad woman for a bad man. A good woman for a good man. A disbelieving woman for a disbelieving man. A believing woman for a believing man.

Imagine Basirat in Church? And she died as a disbeliever, beaten to death by a man who  does not fear his Creator. Yet it was this woman that certified him as a father. Yet it was the same woman that he slept with and enjoyed the mercy and blessing provided from her.

What an evil man.

If I were in authority in Nigeria, his case would have been done. Subhannallah. What a piece of work for a man.

PoliticsRe: 2011: Atiku Challenges Presidential Aspirants To Debate ! by Parnassuss(m): 1:20pm On Sep 23, 2010
Atiku may be a backwipe but his call for a debate is in the right direction. Most Nigerians don't know what is going on in their own country and this could give a crash course in it. Also if PDP can run this right way, it'll give them a more approachable image as a party of human instead of money grubbers.
