Too bad. Had this happened in Nigeria we would have blamed it on negligence and incompetence. Unfortunately even in the so called civilized country, he still died without even a fight from the medics. My condolences to the bereaved family and friends.

Why are you creating misinformation by posting an old article in the first instance, then confusing the reader with new figures on the same thread, and then insisting both figures are correct.

The world knew covid - 19 is an attack against China but kept quiet. Whenever there is such calculated attack on humanity there is usually a very strong defence of such attack as being natural by the mafia and people benefitting from such attack.

HIV (AIDS) was to reduce population particularly in black countries after Planned Parenthood Federation mechanisms failed to yield desired result.
All over the world, including Nigeria, those who made this claim with proofs and those who claimed to have AIDS (HIV deficiency) cure were attacked seriously and frustrated, some lost their life, some lost their businesses, some or their wives got infected. This shows how strong this mafia operates.

Avian Flu came at the period Nigeria was making breakthrough in Poultry farming and business exporting processed birds to some African Countries and to Europe. Avian Flu attacked a very large farm in Nigeria belonging to a serving Minister under Obasanjo. That marked the end of poultry export that time as those countries including EU issued warning against poultry products importation from Countries with Avian Flu attacks.

China has dealt a great blow on the US technology wise. As a telecom engineer I suspected this COVID - 19 as an attack.
For a telecom engineer, you chat a lot of sh.it

Now I realise I was engaging a dimwit.....
Before your conveniently back down under cover of me being a dimwit, can you answer me this one question
Is it safe to say Oyedepo's god misinformed him about having a grand service on a day US authorities would ban public gatherings. Or did he simply not discuss with god prior to choosing a date for this service?
Christianity EtcRe: Coronavirus: Oyedepo Cancels Services At Winners Chapel In Maryland, USA by passion007: 11:47am On Mar 14, 2020
AkpaMgbor:
If you even bothered to read the article instead of jumping on the thread topic like a typical Nigerian who is averse to reading, you would have known that the maryland authority banned all public gathering and hence it would be foolhardy for a church to disobey the government especially in such dire situation...it was never about oyedepo's genuiness or not...it was never about miracles or not...but you rushed on it because you saw an opportunity to pour your bile on oyedepo and the church...
Oh dear, you're irredeemable. You just chat a load of rubbish.
The question remains, why didn't Oyedepo's god prewarn him of this, why didn't his god advise him to chose a better date and time? What wasteful god would let time, energy, money spent planning all of this go to waste?
Most importantly, why is Oyedepo (and his god) bowing to a force majeure? Has he run out of faith? If his faith can move mountains, how much less coronavirus (not) grin grin grin

Go and sleep man, religiousity will not kill you. I'm sure you're the same one who collects bribe at work, steal from others, fornicate around, but here you are carrying Oyedepo on your head. Akpa amu! grin

Quit trying to come off as smart I can see through your pseudo intelligence.. If you claim your God is different from oyedepo's because of this thread then you are even more confused. CHRIST couldn't do miracles in Nazareth and even on the cross people like you mocked him and said " he claims to be the son of God, he healed people and raised the dead why can't he save himself now". No be today your type begin dey this earth.
Wtf are you on abouthuh
Oh my, religion is truly the opium of the masses. A man as learned as you, able to string decent sentences together, would excuse this charade because even Christ did not perform miracles in Nazareth therfore Oyedepo can't be expected to perform miracles in USA, what sort of warped, flawed, senseless logic is that? Or were you just trying to sound off a Bible verse. shocked

In as much as they can perform Miracles, the auction and direction for miracles comes through the workings of the Holy Spirit. No man determines when and how it happens. I will rather you focus on the message God is sending to us through these happenings. Get closer to your maker and stop using every opportunity to MOCK Him. The world and all it's passing glory is gradually fading away. Only God can save this world.

Even without reading the post, you are quick to say words .
The post reads that Pst. Isaac Oyedepo, winners chapel USA has called for online service because a state of Emergency has been declared in Maryland.
Is he supposed to Disobey authorities and not apply wisdom.

Anyway, Data is so cheap nowadays
God save us from the buffoonery called religion in Nigeria.

So his god couldn't even tell him what day to choose to have this service go on uninterrupted . Its safe to say his god misinformed him, and has caused such great waste of funds contributed by his poor members. All that effort, money and planning down the drain, and now there'll be an online service. Why didn't his god tell him to organise an online service ab initio.

The scam called god in Nigeria. If it happens, its god. If it doesn't, you don't have enough faith, or its not gods will. My very naive, impressionable Nigerians will wake up one day.

Must you guys be negative in all situations? This corona nonsense hasn’t caught any African in his own soil as far as I know. If people had caught it we would have heard deaths no matter what. It’s been past 14days since the Italian man came and all the people they quarantined tested negative so why are you being so negative all the time. Try to be positive Abeg. Too negative minded is bad for you and that guy you quoted.
Do Africans in Africa have a different immune constitution to Africans elsewhere?
The point being made is that you and me will not go to hospital because of flu like symptoms, hence there is an understandable concern the virus may be spreading. Of course, one hopes it isn't, but what if it is. In these times, there's no sense in being positive. Prepare for the worst, that's what all other countries are doing, while we, on the other hand, are hoping for the best in Jesus's name.

this isn't self deceit though

Over 90,000 people have gotten this virus and somehow, it is yet to spread in Africa, Coronavirus is not compatible with Africans as it is with other people/continents. This is what experts have suggested

It is not self-deceit, some of you just believe that you deserve every virus the world has to offer because you are in Africa. How many Africans have been infected by SARS, another virus that emanates from Asia?
Give it time, come back in a week with your "We are immune to COVID 19" claim. Youve only just got patient zero, and you're wondering why COVID isn't spreading.

That line about deserving every virus is just utter and complete rubbish.
A viral infection will affect anyone, whether they be brown, white, black or bleached.

All epidemics start with patient zero, then the story tells itself from then on. One only hopes we can at least delay its inevitable spread.

I will summarize all this for you so you can understand how burden of proof works.

That you don't believe something you heard ever happened does not automatically invalidate the possibility of that event happening, it only means you don't believe it... nothing more.

It's left for you to prove such a thing can never happen, which will elevate your doubt from a simplistic realm of just mere disbelief...

Another example...
If someone came here to tell us that he experienced a major earthquake in Kaduna, my automatic response will be I don't believe it. Now for me to prove he is lying, I can simply tell him that geographically it is impossible for a major earthquake to occur in a place that has no plate boundary. In fact, it's more likely that Boko Haram will kill every single human in Kaduna than for a major earthquake to occure.

This isn't just my disbelief anymore, it's me providing factual basis why that event cannot happen.

Are you following me yet? grin
Should I continue?
Thanks for your circuitous summary which has added little in value to this discussion, if I'm honest. You seem to be most elusive in your opinions.

My whole goal has been to get people to think of possibilities to this experience. I'm glad I've got you from saying "you can't argue someone else's experience with them" to actually questioning their experience, and proffering alternative explanations. You don't see that your argument has changed its bearing since this morning, which I think is just funny and reassuring - reassuring that persistence would bring change even if subtle to you. My point has always been about critical thinking, and I remain unwavering in that line of argument.

I do not expect we would come to an agreement, but getting you to think more holistically has made my day.

I hope you have a good day my friend.

I still believe it is a paranormal event, I don't know where you got the impression that I waved it off.

You however, are of the opinion that such an event cannot take place, and you've given some reasons why (drug-induced hallucinations, etc).

Now prove that the person in the OP was indeed high and saw nothing.
Don't run, you go prove am today... grin
I'm here all day, Crackkhaus, I've got nothing but time on my hands. I'm ensconced on my sofa and I've been since waking up lol
I believe in giving credit where its due, which I've done to you, not a stylish ducking at all.

I have no intention of proving anything; it's ridiculous to ask me for a proof, when, from the outset, my point is that the OP needs to show us incontrovertible proof of his experience. If we had CCTVs and he made a claim like that, it would be a million times easier to prove him right or wrong. The stories are rampant because no one asks any questions. Elsewhere you better have proof of your experience if you're wanting to get others to believe you.

I think I'm almost there with you tbh cheesy

At present we have no proof that Davash understood you, but you've accepted it for a fact that he did. And your proof is because he disagrees with me, then he agrees with you.

We could ask him now and he would say he agrees with you, but at the time you made the claim, you did not have any evidence of it, yet sold it as fact.
That's my point
FamilyRe: Nigerian Man Narrates How He Ran Into A Friend Who He Never Knew Had Died by passion007: 1:43pm On Feb 23, 2020
crackkhaus:
My point exactly... cheesy

Prove that he can't be telling the truth because he was on hallucinogens, had a concussion, or was just delirious from a bad infection. grin
The burden of proof rests on you to show exactly why his experience is completely impossible.

If you come to me and tell me that you have performed emergency CPR on someone and saved the person's life, it is your experience which I can't argue against.
However, if I am in doubt about your ability to perform CPR, I can simply ask you where you received your CPR training and when you answer that you have no training in giving CPR, then I have proved that you are incapable of performing CPR on anyone, much less saving the person's life... Ergo, your experience is a lie.

Are you following me now? grin
Finally!!! grin
Now I'm getting you to critically appraise the situation, rather than wave it off as a paranormal event.
I'm genuinely proud of what I've achieved with you. kiss
And your example about CPR couldn't be more appropriate.

crackkhaus:
You're so comfortable in your silliness and unwillingness to understand, so nothing is going to make sense to you.

When a person claims they said/saw/did something, the burden of proof does not rest on the person. It rests on you who doubts his account to proove him wrong. This is how basic argumentum works.

Like someone else schooled you on earlier, you cannot argue someone's experience with them... and I'll add, based on nothing but your disbelief. That alone should have shut you up but you keep trying to outdo yourself for whatever reason.
Exactly the thought process that makes these experiences only rampant in Nigeria. People like you, who ought to be educated, can't argue other peoples experiences. In what universe do you make an incoherent claim, and the generality of people throw their weight behind it, no questions asked.
'Don't argue other people's experiences', what a most ridiculous thing to say! And you have no proof, no counter points. Only the tired line that he's reported it therefore it is true. How gullible and naive of you!
What if the OP had taken some hallucinogens? What if he was delirious from a bad infection? What is he had a concussion from a fight the night before? Of course you can't think of any of that. Your one track mind says "he said it therefore it is true", which is the exact reason we are under the spell of religion, superstition and misinformation in this country.
