crackkhaus:
But you're not thinking for yourself, are you? You're dismissing someone's report on something he experienced based on nothing else but your unbelief. cheesy

In matters like the one in the OP, the burden of proof rests on you the observer, and not the eye witness.

The eye witness reported what he saw and experienced, as an "educated" person who believes such things are impossible, it is up to you to proove what he saw is impossible using whatever verifiable means that you can.

When you can successfully do that, then you can finally say that you're thinking for yourself.
He says he saw a ghost, therefore he saw a ghost.
Genius, very logical crackhead! Well done!

You really did not follow the context of that comment from start to finish, a case of someone who reads to respond and not to understand.
I think you should reread your post and see the hotchpotch of sentences you're stringing together with no coherence or logic to them. Articulate your point better, and I can think how to respond to it. At present, I haven't the vaguest idea what point you were trying to make on that earlier post.

More responsible and less desperate in my line of business?
What are you saying?
Someone that is doing is second degree or you think the assignment is a secondary school assignment?
If he his not of age will he be working?

So if you are a doctor you will treat children for free.
The problem with you is that you feel education is free and teachers reward is in heaven.

Me I am not going to heaven and I need my reward here on earth.
#ineedmyheavenhereonearth

50dollars for more than a hundred maths questions and you think is desperation?
You haven't clearly stated how old he is, and you seem to admit he is a child. Just for the record, you can start working once you're 14 years in America. Also, you have now further admitted you impersonated him on a computer based test. Hmmm... Just be careful o my brother. You seem like an intelligent man with a bright future.

OP, how old is this boy you're charging $50 for maths assignment? Looks like a secondary school boy, in which case I would advise you to be more responsible, and less desperate.

I don't believe the story but I won't call it a lie.

My point is, lack of evidence isn't enough reason to dismiss a claim as false.
And on that claim, I ask why aren't these things happening in America, UK, Germany etc. Why always disproportionately in Nigeria? I can tell you that's because we believe what we are told in this part of the world, especially when the story is laced with mysticism.

Then you believe in your personal experience and not the proof I present.

You cannot argue someone's experience with him. That man claims he saw a ghost. The truth is, there's absolutely no way to tell he's lying or not except you go back to the past to verify... Just keep an open mind.
You're missing the point, totally.

The proof that he died is NOT his obituary, NOT his coffin. These are associations of death but by no means evidential.
By feeding you with associations, you're being tricked into believing the story.
The proof that I ate lunch is not a picture of food on my phone. The proof that I slept last night is not a ruffled bed. The proof that I smell nice is not a picture of me with a bottle of Issey Miyake.
See beyond the ruse you're being presented

I didn't even see this before typing my response.

Even if the guy has never left the shores of Nigeria, I can't imagine he does not have access to information in this 21st century.

Paranormal activity is a science that some people dedicate their whole lives to study in western countries.
It's only in sub-saharan Africa that such things are explained away as impossible, or witchcraft.
Youve failed to make a point after your rigmarole. You started off by establishing there are paranormal events, then you end up dismissing witchcraft, in the very next sentence. LOL.
Make up your mind, Crackkhaus.

Proofs are not enough.

If I walked up to you and showed you a picture of me lying in a casket dead and also showed you my own obituary, would you believe the proof that I'm dead?
You and me are singing from the same song sheet, brother.
But obviously, in the scenario you've described, my proof would not be your obituary or you laid in a coffin. The proof of death is not by showing associations of death. The proof of death is absence of life, therefore have no pulse or breathing for 5 minutes and you better have a fixed pupil too before you can get me to believe you.

Anyone who doesn't believe that things like this do happen, is definitely still vibrating on the 3-D plane of human existence.
But why does it only happen in Nigeria.

I'm sure once CCTVs are more available in this country, these sort of stories would naturally vanish.

There's no evidence to them, just one drunk, confused or delirious man recounting his hallucinations, and a crowd of people, most educated, believing him without asking for the foggiest proof.
CrimeRe: Turkish Officials Wrapping African Man In Nylon For Deportation (video &photos) by passion007: 9:07pm On Feb 22, 2020
Jakumo:
I beg to differ with this snap judgement sir. With the man deported to Africa, it will most certainly take someone acting on his behalf in Europe, to pursue a legal settlement in court, unless of course the deported man has family, friends or staff to handle such matters in his absence.

Furthermore, if his case is taken up by internationally recognized human rights organizations, this outrageous and utterly bizarre incident will attract a lot more media attention, and possibly achieve a far more favorable outcome for the victim, than would have been possible if his cause was only taken up by those close to him.
Well, can I remind you of your exact words: "it should be possible for the African man to be ASSIGNED a lawyer... ". Is this because he's so poor he can't afford one? If he did not get assigned one, does it mean the case dies out then?

Your comment entrenched that culture of dependence on the very system that has victimised him. Why can't you say " The African man should get a lawyer". That avoids the defeatist picture you've painted, and instead evokes confidence. And yes, it won't matter where in the world he is, cases have been judged in absentia and decisions upturned for people wrongfully deported, and this won't be the last.

Interesting. If this man had not managed to free himself from that plastic wrapping, he would certainly have died from overheating before the aircraft reached its destination in Africa.

On that basis alone, it should be possible for the African man to be assigned a lawyer by human rights organizations, so that the relevant authorities can be sued for that potentially lethal torture that they inflicted on the man, under the guise of restraining him, which could just as easily been accomplished with a pair of 2-dollar flex-cuffs securing his wrists. His having been stripped naked and humiliated in that aircraft, would also amount to a solid basis for a second lawsuit for damages, defamation and mental anguish inflicted.
You made sense, until you said he should be assigned a lawyer by rights organisations. That paints the picture of a helpless, indigent African who can't even identify that his rights have been infringed upon, and still relies on external help to speak up for him. This is exactly the impression that has led to his being treated in this manner, in the first instance. Sounds like I'm nitpicking, but not really ; words matter.

Stupid excuses. The one and only reason is to reduce the number of minorities becoming US citizens. This is part of the Republican plan to stop, reduce and slow down the rate of none whites becoming US citizens which is about to turn Whites into Minority in the US.
This is the reason why all these Rednecks are voting for Trump even though they know is a complete idiotic lying fool. All these excuses are nothing but copout stories to u informed.
It has been said for years now that with the rate of growth of Hispanics and other minorities in the US, by 2040, white Americans will become the minority in terms of population. That's why the racist rednecks live Trump, why the IPOB loves trump? Just out of cluelessness, stupidity and sheer ignorance. Trump could care less about them.
And so? What is the problem then.
Which country in the world would open their borders to uncontrolled immigration, until the immigrant population exceeds the local population?
This is nothing but our typical Nigerian sense of entitlement.
How are people racist for controlling immigration?
All developed countries keep a cap on immigrant visas. No one wants a foreign population to overrun its national mechanisms. Sovereignty is the watchword, and you may wanna look it up, Mr Know it All.

Which critical value possessions can Nigeria withhold from America?
Before you begin to talk like a naive child, use your brain.

If you think we can make it difficult for American oil companies in Nigeria, then you are joking and that would be the beginning of the end of Nigeria. Because when they hit you with sanctions, Iran's situation will look like heaven when compared to Nigerias'.

Nigeria has nothing to negotiate with. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you wake up from your delusion. Nigeria has no leverage or bargaining chip to perturb the US. This is the fact. Nigeria is dead and gone. Only the disintegration of this hell hole may birth something with the semblance of a nation.

You just dey speak grammar. To impress who? Eloquence is no measure of wisdom. Better get informed.
Why are you huffing and puffing when you've literally made the OP's point, perhaps in darker, drearier words. You need to read to understand.

In addition, everything about our foreign, economic, military policies, etc. should shift towards Russia, China and Europe. We should build common grounds with India, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey and other emerging powers.

Even if I hate Nigeria, I can't just imagine some of us celebrating this ban. Trump is acting as racist banning 4 African countries, and the Black Americans seem like cowards.
That's the arrogance that makes it impossible for anyone to take us seriously. Anyonee would come up with a multiplicity of reasons to get rid of that arrogance, however racist it might appear to you.

People who have only been on short visits to USA are filling social media with frantic news about how Nigerians are taking over in America, bragging we run the show, are most educated and stuff. That's not usually a problem except they go a step further to berate black Americans as lazy, criminal and unmotivated, now you really want them to support your cause. You can't burn bridges when it suits you, then turn around to attempt to curry favours. See what an amazing job Ghana is doing fostering Ghana-USA relations by engendering the Year of Return.

Most recently, on Nairaland's front page of all places, there was a thread berating black americans and many Nigerians only came up to say they're lazy and uninspired, some even said they relate better with white Americans. Well then, there's the face of your white American overlord all over this ban, self-service over it!

You don't hear the more globally successful expatriate groups like the Chinese, the Indians indulge in this arrogance. They would never say an uncomplimentary word about the country that's made them, but in our typical brash abrasiveness, we want to make the money and rub it in their face. Well then, sounds like the rooster has come home to roost, literally.

Now you're wanting to court the BRIC nations and Europe, just be sure to leave your attitude at the door for any chance at success. But also know this travel ban will change other nations foreign relations with Nigeria.

OP, your article is one of many narrow-minded posts that further strain the relationship between African Americans and African migrants. Your situations are far from the same. Just because you had free education or paid next to nothing to get schooled in Africa doesn't put you on the moral high ground to advise. What is the average cost of tuition in America? How many African Americans can afford it, given the poverty in their neighbourhoods. This is, again, the same Nigerian brash intrusiveness of offering unsolicited advice about a situation they do not fully understand. You think they are fixated on race, and that statement would offend any African American. You have no idea what they have endured over the decades, but now you, in a very offhand way, advise them to have a different relationship with white people because you had a different experience with them. Ridiculous conclusion that!
Your article was alright until you started to proffer advice, and in so doing, put the African American in the wrong and suggested their minds need repairing while the African is the ideal of all he should aspire to. You can see the same sentiments being echoed through the comments. According to you, the African fully integrates into mainstream American culture, but this integration conveniently excludes understanding the African American experience. How is that not a rather upsetting integration? The relationship between both groups is clearly damaged, but any repair must first identify that there are also things the African can improve upon. Relationship is a two way street!

Most of these African Americans are also very intolerant and condescend Africans with their nasty, ignorant, close minded and rude lifestyle , that's why Africans tend to isolate them and flow more with Latinos, Asians, white and even afro carribeans. They are mentally damaged people always quick to attach race to every issue which in my opinion I think is gonna really limit their potentials. Nigerians are their no1 enemies, not surprised though every insecure black person has issues with Nigerians because of how over self-confident and loud we are from ghana to satafrika grin
If every person you deal with has a problem with you, may be you are the problem... Have you thought about that.
