Also, is it not hypocritical that a federal govt. that prefers dhl to NIPOST is talking about making NIPOST effective. For a start, why don't the govt patronise herself before selling to the public, make it mandatory that every doc. from any govt parastatal is couriered by NIPOST. Universities can have candidates admission letters delivered to them in hardcopy as they have always done before now. There are just so many things they can do to reinvent NIPOST and create jobs in all localities in the federation.

This policy has been in place but has not been enforced. I paid a mandatory 1.5k each on five passports at PH NIS to have NIPOST deliver our passports but they never did.
And again, I think the correct thing to say is that NIPOST becomes the delivery body for the passports and drivers licence because NIPOST does not have the capacity (legislatively, jurisdictional and technical) to produce those documents.
