agaugust:What has happened, is that out of 150 million Nigerians, your government cannot find a handfull of mechanics and so is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars (per man) for us to do it for you |
agaugust:And Dangote is now practically broke |
agaugust:I can show you a video of a railgun... can we then say that America has railguns? You said that countermeasures would defeat our torpedo and NATO would sink our sub in 10min Which NATO vessels have torpedo countermeasures? Why cant you answer my questions? Here they are: 1. How does detection mean automatic death of the submarine? 2. How effective are ships at detecting torpedoes? 3. How will a ship detect a tiny torpedoe if it cannot detect the massive sub that fired it? 4. What countermeasures are currently in service with NATO and the NN? Until you answer the above 4 questions, the salient fact remains this: A SAN submarine sunk an entire NATO task-force |
Henry120:The sad state of Nigeria has resulted in you hiring men at massive expense from foreign countries to help you win a war you cannot fight alone. Very sad |
Henry120:1. Land ownership has nothing to do with who has the strongest military 2. Posting dubious statistics from blogs has nothing to do with who has the strongest military AND has nothing to do with honest debate 3. There is no reliable crime data for nigeria (last official release for nation wide stats was in 2004) Yet again, when the incompetance and inadequacies of your military are highlighted you are forced to post off topic in the hopes of de-railing the argument. - 4000 Nigerians are dead because your military failed to protect them - 1,5 million Nigerians have been displaced because your military failed to protect them - Boko Haram built a Caliphate the size of Belgium because your military coiuld not defend against them - You had to call Chad, Niger and Cameroon to liberate YOUR territory because you could not defeat BH alone These are all facts, these are all on topic. Be a man, stick to the topic. |
Henry120:1. Nigeria is so useless they cannot find mechanics to service their own vehicals 2. Nigeria is so useless they have to employ foreigners at massive costs to service their vehicles 3. Nigeria is so useless they kill these highly valuable contractors in friendly fire incidents Again, this is simply one of hundred of South African mercenaries, who he was and what he (supposedly) did is irrelevant Fact remains: South African mercenaries are active in Nigeria Ps: The company he worked for, did it offer mechanical services or did it offer private protection services? |
Henry120:Your source is a blog with no citations? Just your style Also - please post on topic - stop running away from you military's incompetence by de-railing the thread |
Henry120:Apparently Nigeria is so useless it is unable to train mechanics and thus has to import them. Henry120, what we are alluding to is that it is illegal for south africans to perform combat roles in other countries. Thus, he was hired as a "mechanic" (its a cover einstein) - this is very likely as Koevoet didnt produce mechanics, its produced COIN operators who specialized in training indigenous peoples for COIN roles. |
Henry120:First, its around 49 Second, land ownership is irrelevant to the confines of this debate, as is crime. Yet again, when the pathetic record of your military is pointed out, you resort to off topic posting. Reminder: Nigerian Army allowed Boko Haram to build a Caliphate the size of Belgium, kill 4000 Nigerian civilians and make 1,5 million people homeless. |
Henry120:Fact remains: South Africans are turning a profit in Nigeria. |
agaugust:Nope - they have simply come for a quick buck before they leave. Mercenaries dont work in nice countries, they work in warzones. Why would anyone leave South Africa for Nigeria? Factually speaking South Africa is X55 times better to live in than Nigeria, your country is one of the most failed, poverty stricken, corrupt, poorly educated, over populated, poorly lead, undemocratic, oppressive and violent states in the world! |
agaugust:1. Which ships operate contralto V? 2. The purchase of new un-jammable wire-guided heavyweight torpedoes confirmed by the Minister of Finance Also: 1. How does detection mean automatic death of the submarine? 2. How effective are ships at detecting torpedoes? 3. How will a ship detect a tiny torpedoe if it cannot detect the massive sub that fired it? 4. What countermeasures are currently in service with NATO and the NN? Unless you can answer these questions the defeault status is this: One single South African submarine sunk an entire NATO task force |
agaugust:Augustus. 1. Show us how effective torpedo detection is 2. Show us how effective torpedo counter measures are, and what they are 3. Show us how torpedo launch results in submarine detection 4. Show us that no helicopter was used Yet again, you say things and have no proof, no substance. Until you prove 1-4 above the facts remain unchanged and unchallenged: Fact: One single SAN submarine sunk a whole NATO taskforce and that you yourself admitted than the NN doesnt stand a snowballs chance in hell But lets assume you are correct, that a SAN sub firing a torp results in its detection and destruction. Now lets assume a NATO task force is off the coast of RSA and is preparing an attack They have: 1X Aircraft carrier 2X LHD 10000000 destroyers/frigates/etc Our 3 subs infiltrate (we have proven beyond doubt that we can get in attack position without being detected) they then fire off their torpedoes - one sub attacks the carrier the other two the LHD's Those vessels are sunk, our subs are sunk NATO now has a useless taskforce sitting off our coast, and we buy time to negotiate or to further prepare to defend ourselves. That is what is important augugbugu. Now, how do you wish to pay for your tuition in military deterrents? |
agaugust:The advert in the photo cannot be read due to pixilation Please, augugbugug, zoom in and show us this "portugese or spanish" sign |
Henry120:There you have it boys 3+1=5 This is some ground-breaking stuff going on here. |
Henry120:Lol - still trying to devolve the argument into guesswork and rumors? The latest artical on the topic confirms: 3 airworthy C-130's in service The Nigerian Air Force will soon take delivery of a refurbished C-130H-30 Hercules transport aircraft after a two and a half year rebuild by specialist company Marshall Aerospace in the United Kingdom. The Nigerian Air Force aims to refurbish five of its eight surviving C-130Hs. The Nigerian C-130 fleet is more than three decades old and by 2009 only one example was still flying while the others were sitting in obvious disrepair idly at Ikeja Air Base with less than 5,000 flying hours. After more than a year of major repairs and maintenance, the U.S. Air Force helped return the first of five Nigerian C-130s to operational service on January 21, 2011. The aircraft went through an extensive process called Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) in a Lockheed Martin depot in Lisbon, Portugal. In September 2013 the Nigerian Air Force received another refurbished C-130. This time it was refurbished with the assistance of French aviation company Sabena Technics. http://www.c-130.net/c-130-news-article134.html Stick to the facts, and the facts say 3. Deal with it. |
Henry120:Yes the totals add up, (infact they are less than I gave you) NAF 918 NAF 917 NAF 913 NAF 914 Thats 4 C-130'sin total inventory, with a total of 3 refurbished up to date. With regards to domestic refurbishment the 3 referred to are the 3 that have been refurbished Conclusion: Nigeria has a total of 3 air-worthy C-130's - meaning that at most 2 can be in the air at any one time* *i gave you 2 as its war-time for you, meaning reduced maintenance cycles - this is not sustainable for the long term. |
agaugust:Our borders are infinitly more secure than yours - as is shown by statistics from operation corona Plus, a man who's country cannot even secure the land INISDE its borders should not be commenting |
agaugust:Actually, 20 000 SADF personnel deployed to keep the UNITA movement alive and the SADF was forced to launch multiple offensives into Angola to save UNITA - so you got that backwards Tanzania commands the Brigade, not South Africa - we command our battalion and Oryx and Rooivalk and C130's and mortar sections and logistics teams and MP's and medics and support staff, and South Africa deployed the majority of men and equipment Private men hired to work on private land has nothing to do with the South African state. |
agaugust:When you start making realistic technical military comments I will start countering them Right now all I have to do is debunk the facilities you spew |
agaugust:You trained him how to fly an unarmed single prop aircraft? And that means you own us how? That changed what exactly? You nigerians, you think a fart in an outhouse is a hurricane. |

I think that’s what’s causing the stories because there are only three aircraft flying. Out of the nine that we’ve got, there are three that are waiting for servicing and one at a time are waiting for inspections. So we’re operating five aircraft of the fleet at a time,” Pretorius said. http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=30177:five-of-nine-saaf-hercules-serviceable&catid=111:sa-defence There you have it, we have more in service and more operational Deal with it ![]() |
Henry120:Henry, you filthy liar You only have 5 C130's in service. And in service does not mean airworthy - give us proof all 5 are airworthy We have 9 in service, 3 operational at any one time with the remainder in maintenance and 2 awaiting repair Not to mention that every single NAF figure you put forward is INFLATED South Africa - Medium Lift: 9 Transport: 14 Light transport: 15 Total - 38 Nigeria - Airliner: 1 Medium Lift: 10 Transport: 9 Total - 20 The above figures are factual, post your wonderland figures all you want. Facts are facts. |
Henry120:No, we have 3 C-130's conducting operations at any one time, with 9 in service With regards to the Dakota's 1. they are not from the 1950's - they have had engine changes, avionics changes and airframe adaptions (they are longer) 2. As transports, they are not obsolete - since their role is to TRANSPORT Again, South Africa has 10 more transports than Nigeria |
agaugust:It would be great if you could provide solid proof and stop posting opinion peices. Show us Cuban air-to-air kills!! Also, how did they chase us out? In the last year of the war: Mirage F-1AZs flew 683 sorties and dropped more than 3 000 bombs on enemy targets, while Buccaneers carried out 99 sorties, dropping approximately 700 bombs
|
agaugust:Problem is we won quito, not to mention that the Cubans accepted OUR terms in the end - same terms we had demanded since 1970's. Also, you say they chased us out of their airspace... then why do they celebrate no air-to-air kills? We celebrate two ![]() This shows the bias of the artical Thus: Into the trash it goes ![]() (Pic related: indisputable proof from the gun-cams of SAAF mirages. Two 100% undeniable Mig Kills)

Henry120:Nigeria : C-130 (7 operational) You only have 5 in total Which means that, if you are following proper maintenance regimes, 2 will be on full time operation and perphase 3 airworthy for a short term "surge" We have 9 in total, 4 being rotated through maintenance, 3 in the air 24/7 and 2 awaiting repair or maintenance. Nigeria : G-222 (6 operational) And how many airworthy at any one time? 1/3 rule of thumb means only 2 And our Dakota's may be old airframes, but they have modern engines and avionics, and can still perform transport roles. we have 10 Nigeria : Donier D0-228 (8 operational) No - you have 6 and you forgot our 4 CASA's South-Africa : cesna 208 (8 obsolete transport planes) We have 9, some upgraded with state of the art IR observation equipment. What makes them obsolete? Can they still sling loads or not? Nigeria: Beechraft super-king (7 operational) [citation needed] So - even with your massively inflated figures - you dont have our airlift, let alone your ludicrous claims of "3 times the airlift" So here is the tally: South Africa - Medium Lift: 9 Transport: 14 Light transport: 15 Total - 38 Nigeria - Airliner: 1 Medium Lift: 10 Transport: 9 Total - 20 Ouch, thats gotta sting ![]()

Henry120:Which one of those airspaces was a contested one? Just wondering |
saengine:
|
agaugust:We will add it to the list (of imaginary items): - Su30 - T80 Oplot - Tucano's - FH-77 B05 L52 - Ceasar SPG - Missiles for your Chinese gun boats - Junk Fighter-17 - Pakistani AWACS |
agaugust:Nigerian paratroopers have not made a single combat jump in their history Unlike us ![]() |
agaugust:Why do you spew such pointless hate on this forum? Yet you suck South Africans d1cks so hard and so well on beegugugug's blog its confusing ![]() |
